Jake “Every Time” Evans has two fast on the track and faster in life. But when it comes to matters of the heart, he’s learned the hard way that some risks aren’t worth taking. That is, until a blast from Christmas past shows up again—right in the middle of the holiday chaos. Smart, witty, and heartbreakingly familiar, Georgia Warren might just be the most irresistible (and irritating) surprise of all… and she’s got a mission that could throw both their hearts into overdrive.

As a junior wish coordinator for the Wish Project, Georgia has earned a PhD in wish fulfillment—not hers, mind you, but other people’s. She didn’t come back to relive old heartbreaks, though. She came with a convince Jake to help a little boy make the ultimate Christmas wish come true. He agrees—on one she must be his personal assistant for the week.

When it comes to making wishes come true, Georgia will do just about anything—as long as it doesn’t include losing her heart again. But when Christmas Past and Christmas Present collide, the door to Christmas Future opens… and Georgia realizes that, just maybe, the real gift this season might be letting Jake back into her heart.

You Wish 🎄
Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Marina Adair for trusting me with this ARC!💫
Jake Evans may be the best on the road, but his love life have ended him. After not taking a risk years ago for the woman he loved,it was decided that he would focus on the big career, that was about to start. What will happen when Georgia Warren, the risk he did not take, decides to knock his door again with a mission that he cannot refuse?

To start with, this is an X-mas story, but since our wonderful Georgia works in Make A Wish there are a lot of mentions towards that topic, that made the book hard to read for some readers.Take care first & then enjoy 💚
Now,about our story!
You Wish is a second chance Christmas story that will also have you crying.No.Sobbing.
Our characters story begun years ago, and after their reconnection now the, passion & love are still there vividly.
There are no hesitation moments there, especially from Jake who is in true love with my girl.More,HIS LINES.I mean this man speaks so good for both Georgia and about her, that had me crying & giggling my feet.
I liked how the romance blossomed, because we had steady steps & understanding a lot.
As you know,in every second chance we had a major breakup before,so finding the right path now may be tricky.Adair, delivered it so nice though, that we felt how sure they were this time and that we start from the beginning.Plus,I loved that towards the end, they got in their minds that we do not live in the future and we need to chase what we want (and need) now.
As for the characters,I loved everyone that had page time.
My only ick is Rachel, but to be honest, I cannot 100% hate her. After what happened in Jake's childhood,I think she wanted to do what she thought was best for him, however she was so sure about herself that forgot about the most important part:what Jake ACTUALLY needed.
Long story short,I think that their relationship came to the best form it ever was after the end of the book.
Lastly,I will say it is a really good book, but as I said not your easy to read X-mas themed one. So,if you are good with the topics that are being discussed, you should definitely give it a try!
Out on Nov,6th 🎄

Ok, if you don't know me well enough by now, yes! I did grab this book purely from sewing this front cover and knowing without a doubt, that I was going to adore this read!

From the title, I wasn't really sure which way this one would go, but what a heart-wrencher this story was.

Georgia is a wish maker - this already had me hooked!

My son had a tough childhood when diagnosed with a long term illness and we applied and were granted a wish for him, so this brought back so many memories for me - and that's before I spotted the romantic storyline heading my way!

Georgia and Jake were a match made in heaven, if only they could see that too!

I loved getting to know them both a d sewing their walls slowly crumble.

Their backstory was so cute and their chemistry so obvious - from us looking in that is!

It was great to see Georgia letting someone else in to treat her right after giving her everything to make others happy - it really was time to get some happiness for herself too!

The writing style was beautiful and flowed so well, I was hooked from start to finish and really didn't want to let this down - I couldn't stop thinking about it whilst working and came straight back to race to the end as soon as I could.

This was so sweet and I loved the festive vibes too!

My first read by this author and I'll definitely be looking out for more soon.

I absolutely loved this!

You Wish by Marina Adair offers a heartfelt romance with a unique blend of F1 racing and Christmas cheer. As a fan of both themes, I found this combination to be a fun and refreshing twist that really pulled me into the story. The festive atmosphere was perfect for a cozy holiday read, and the F1 element added an exciting, high-energy backdrop to the romance.

What stood out the most for me was Georgia, the heroine. Her dedication to working with disabled children was truly inspiring and added a layer of depth to her character that I really appreciated. It was clear how much she cared, not only about her job but about making a difference in the lives of others. That element of the book made it feel incredibly heartfelt and meaningful.

That said, the writing itself didn’t quite match the emotional depth of the story. I noticed a few mistakes throughout, and the overall quality of the writing left a bit to be desired. It didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the book, but it was noticeable at times and some phrases left me confused.

Despite this, You Wish was a charming and enjoyable read that I’m very grateful for (thank you love notes PR and Marina). While the writing could use some polish, the sweet, feel-good elements of the story were enough to make me look forward to reading more of Marina Adair’s books in the future.

✨ ARC BOOK REVIEW ✨

You Wish by Marina Adair 🎄💫

Georgia Warren makes other people’s dreams come true for a living — but she’s long stopped believing in her own. When a little boy’s Christmas wish brings her face-to-face with Jake Evans, the man she never thought she’d see again, sparks (and snowflakes) start to fly. ❄️

This story is everything I want in a holiday romance — heart, humor, and hope. Marina Adair nails that small-town magic and second-chance chemistry that makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket and not move until you’ve finished the last page.

💭 My thoughts:
✨ Sweet, flirty, and perfectly festive
❤️ Loved the emotional growth and the slow burn
🎁 A cozy reminder that the best wishes are the ones you share

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5/5)

If you love small towns, found family, and a touch of Christmas magic — You Wish belongs on your holiday TBR. 🎅🏼📖

🗓️ Save the date - this book comes out November 6th.

This is the second book in the revved up romance - need to read the first one now, BRB!

ARC Review

I didn’t realize this story was the second book of a series but I had no issues reading it as a standalone. It was a quick, easy read. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and the spicy scenes were good, although I wish they had a bit more detail. I had never read a F1 trope before so I found that interesting but it wasn’t really mentioned that much throughout the book. I did love the concept of the Make A Wish idea and had never read a book featuring this before. I found that the author had written that concept really well. Some areas I found a bit rushed or I wish there were more build up but overall it was a good book.

Thanks to lovenotesPR for the opportunity to read

I thoroughly enjoyed Jake & Georgia’s Story! It’s a warm, festive read that perfectly captures the holiday spirit. I especially loved the heartfelt aspect of Georgia’s work granting wishes for children—it added such depth and joy to the story. With themes of second chances, rekindled first love, small-town charm, and plenty of laughter, this book was an absolute delight. Another wonderful ARC from Marina Adair!

⭐️ARC READ

This was such a cosy festive read and I did really enjoy the book and it did not take me long to read at all.
I loved the F1 aspect of it all as I’m a big F1 fan and this just made the book that extra bit better.
I loved that the Make A Wish project was part of the story as it highlights that some children’s lives are really like this with life changing illnesses and they are just wanting that special wish to come true before they pass.
I loved the characters although Georgia did annoy me at times but she was very relatable, she had been through so much in her life and she was scared and didn’t know what the future held but Jake helped her see that everything would be okay and he was always going to be there for her.
There was many spelling mistakes but as an ARC i don’t mind as much but it wouldn’t let me highlight the errors and submit but overall it was a really good read.

✨Thank you to the author, Marina Adair and Love Notes PR for my arc ebook in exchange for an honest review✨

This was a sweet second chance romance with great banter and clear chemistry. All characters had a key role in moving the story along to include one pessimist that didn't annoy me.

This is not a clean romance though the level of spice I would say is a 2.5 out of 5.

The HEA was not typical and I appreciated that.

Marina Adair has done it again and has given her readers another incredible holiday second-chance love story! I absolutely LOVED You Wish; I was hooked from the first few pages, I loved reading every moment on every page, and it was impossible to put it down. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another, they are all such wonderful characters? Her characters in You Wish are so believable and charming, they share great chemistry, lots of laughs, and steamy romance. You Wish delivers all those things that I love most about Marina Adair’s books. You Wish is a second chance love story between Jake “Every Time” Evans, one of F1’s most popular drivers and Nova Motorsports lead racer, and Georgia Warren, Junior Wish Coordinator at The Wish Project, a non-profit that fulfilled wishes for special needs children all over Texas. Georgia and Jake were college sweethearts when Jake was an F2 driver and have not seen one another in nine years since the night her life changed, and Jake thought Georgia ghosted him. One of my favorite parts is their initial encounter where Georgia approaches Jake to be a brand ambassador in an elf costume in his private dressing room. Initially Jake rejects the proposal but agrees if Georgia will return to Pine Village as his assistant for two weeks. This wish is important to Georgia since Ben suffers the same condition as her late brother, Connor. Conversation between Georgia and Jake flows so easily, with flirting, innuendos, and playful banter. Some conversations between Georgia and Jake are truly heartbreaking, especially the ones involving her brother. I love all the things that Jake does for Georgia, as part of their agreement. I love that both Georgia and Jake shares secrets with one another, especially when Georgia explained what happened the night when Jake told Georgia that he loved her and the conversation that she overheard between Jake and Rachel, his sister and manager and how Jake told Georgia about his childhood. I love Jake and Georgia’s love story, and how Jake shows his vulnerable side to Georgia. Then an unexpected plot twist changes things between them and puts their relationship in jeopardy. I love the heart-to-heart conversation that Jake with his grandfather and his conversation with Georgia, where he calms her fears and misgivings. I love everything that Jake does to commit himself to Georgian and help her with the wish for Ben, including finding a new venue for the event. I love the amazing chemistry between Georgia and Jake, and that their chemistry turns into love and I am so happy that they admitted their true feelings for one another. Another favorite part is Georgia’s promotion because of the success of the event and the commitment from the owner of Nova Motorsports. I love the characters and the family dynamic in You Wish, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between Jake and his grandparents; it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love that Jake finally fulfilled the promise that he made to his grandparents regarding their barn with Georgia’s assistance. I also loved the changes that both Georgia and Jake make in their lives to have a life with one another. I especially love that Jake’s professional dreams also come true. Marina Adair provided her readers with the amazing characters that I loved, who feel like close friends! Marina Adair continues to show with You Wish that she is an incredible storyteller. One of my favorite things that I love about You Wish is how Marina Adair incorporates the title of the book into the love story. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I love that Marina Adair writes from the perspective of the two main characters. I enjoy getting to see things from the viewpoints of the main characters. You Wish is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and is filled with all those things that I have come to love and expect in a Marina Adair love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments, incredible characters, amazing story, surprises, and plot twists that filled this page turner. Marina Adair did not disappoint in her delivery of those things. I love how she resolved the surprise plot twist; it was truly a heartwarming moment. My favorite part of the book was the epilogue and how it perfectly wrapped up their love story. You Wish was an amazing holiday second chance love story, and I highly recommend it. I received an advanced copy from the author.

“You can only let something down if you never pick it back up.”

Bribing people in a sexy elf costume, from banter to heart-to-heart in 0.1 seconds, brave children, lots and lots of denial, a wrecking sister and all that while being surrounded by loving Christmas magic.

As I already mentioned last time, there is a lot on my plate lately so I try to handle everything the best as I can, it just takes a bit longer unfortunately. Thanks to LoveNotesPR and Marina Adair for their patience and the opportunity to let me review this ARC.

Georgia Warren is a woman on a mission even if that means having to work together with the last guy that broke her heart. As a junior wishmaker it is her job to fulfill children's wishes. To give them just one day in which they feel normal, seen, healthy..
The wish that she is currently trying to bring to life could bring her the promotion to senior wishmaker she worked so hard for, but it hits closer to home then she anticipated. On multiple aspects. Jake “Every time” Evans is the golden boy of Nova racing, fast on track, always delivering, but his mind is haunted since that day in his dressing room. Call it the one that got away, or maybe the spirit of Christmas past, but if he wants to win the drivers championship he needs to get his head back on track, fast. And for that he needs closure. Against better judgment, the two head off towards Austin. But will they find closure for their past, or will a new door be blasted open deep down to their hearts wishes?

Those who know me, know I’m a complete sucker for F1 and Christmas. Therefore this story immediately drew my attention. I also felt like it was a unique setting with the ‘Make a Wish’ wishmaker job Georgia has. This is why it makes me extra sad it didn’t meet the expectations I had beforehand. Yes ‘You wish’ is a cute Christmas story, but I do feel it did not reach the full potential the story had. It was quite jumpy and messy sometimes, the ending felt very abrupt (one second everything is a mess and literally a second later all is fixed - without spoiling too much) and because of the third person telling and the many side characters it was a bit difficult to follow who was saying what in a few scenes.

The characters are incredibly lovely though (most of them). Joy and Nic have a love story we all wish for, the way the side characters are brought to life do add to the experience, and Georgia and Jake just yes. Georgia is such a powerful woman and Jake is such a gentleman. The confidence and competitiveness of both, the banter between the two, but also their fears and vulnerability.
All combined a fun Christmas sports romance read with a little magical touch.

You wish is a cute warm Christmas read with a drizzle of F1 sprinkled over it. Cozy, heartwarming, and nice characters. A story which shows that sometimes you have to work hard for love, but it is worth it.

I loved the premise of this book - F1 racer MMC, nonprofit girly FMC, and Christmas time in Texas... sign me up!

Unfortunately, this book did not hit for me. It's told so fast that I didn't really get to know any of the characters and felt no depth from any of them.

First the story is told in third person - I think a third person romance scene feels a little "creeper in the corner". I can normally get past third person but there were SO many side character interactions that I lost track of who "she" and "he" were and found myself going back several times to double check I knew who was talking. Plus there were a few instances where the character has been called Mr., "he," and "sir" but then there's a "she cocked her head" or "she told me" about the same character. There were also several typos that I felt could have been easily caught. I can get past all of that, especially if the author is someone who is just starting but Marina is an established author.

What was an issue for me was when Marina defines that this book takes place in and around Austin - then puts it in the mountains (which it's not) and says several times throughout the book that it's snowing (which it doesn't). Random flurries - yes, but there's a few passages where they have a snowball fight or she states the bed of the truck is full of snow. Flakes are falling in every chapter. The closest mountains to Austin are the Davis Mountains - 7 hours away. I actually stopped reading to see if Marina was from Texas or had moved to the Austin area from somewhere else. But her bio says she from, and still lives, in California. I get she wanted to create a winter wonderland of Christmas but if he had to be in Texas - it should have been the panhandle.

My other issue was when Georgia, who works for a wish granting nonprofit, goes to a little boys house and has a full on conversation with the mother - who she's never met - about her love interest Jake. While I get this is a work of fiction, I work in the nonprofit space and can't even imagine having a conversation like that with a recipient, donor, or volunteer. It's completely unprofessional - especially for someone who is in their late 20's.

As someone who normally reads at least a book a day, I actually put this book down at 75% for 5 days to see if I felt the urge to pick it back up and finish. It never really came. Ultimately I did finish it, unfortunately, it didn't make me want to pick up anything else from Marina.

You Wish by Marina Adair is a great way to kick off the holiday season.

You Wish is part second chance romance and part making holiday wishes come true. It is mostly centered around the planning of a children’s wish event that involves a Wish coordinator, Georgia, and Formula 1 driver, Jake. It delves into the relationship between Georgia and Jake and their history with one another. Because this is a holiday romance, expect a hallmark ending.

What I liked about this book was that it didn’t stray from the plot. Everything was straightforward and I loved the dynamic between Georgia and Jake.

What I didn’t like about the book was Jakes sister, but you’ll have to read the book to find out my reason why.

If I would recommend this book to anyone, I highly recommend it to readers who love feel good romance that involves second chances and the holidays. I also think it would be a good book for those who are Formula 1 fans because there is some relevant content in it. Because this is a romance, expect some spice. (I’d rate it a 2.5/5)

Some of my favorite quotes from the book include:

“Anyone can feel love. Anyone can claim it. but the ones who matter, the ones worth having, they don’t just sit there hoping it’ll work. they show up. they prove it."

“You can only let something down if you never pick it back up.”

“Love is hard and heavy and if you’re not careful it can take you under.”

“I remember all of you”...”but I want to get to know all of the new you.”

“Son, love ain’t some neat little thing you claim when it feels convenient. It ain't a word you say, an then you sit back, hoping it sticks. Love’s work. It’s fight. It’s effort. Every day. Even when it scares the hell out of you. Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when it hurts more than you think you can bear.”

In all, You Wish, reminded me that loving someone is work and to constantly work at it.

I want to thank Marina and LoveNotesPR for approving me to be a part of the ARC team. I look forward to reading more of your books!

[ARC REVIEW]

- 3.75 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

“I’d choose you. Every damn time. No matter the risk. No matter the mess. You’re my world, Georgia. Nothing else matters if I can’t share it with you.”

You Wish by Marina Adair is a sweet holiday contemporary romance about Georgia, a tenacious Make a Wish representative and Jake, a Formula 1 racer with a heart of gold.

This was such a cute, quick and fun read. I was not expecting it to hit my heart so hard but wow, the whole storyline with the foundation and Georgia’s brother was heartbreaking. This is a book that has you rooting for the main characters from the very beginning, between Georgia’s refusal to even give Jake the time of day to Jake’s incessant flirting, I wanted these two to end up together immediately.

There is romance, angst, spice and humour. Marina does an amazing job of blending them all into one delicious book, I absolutely adore how fierce Georgia is, very head strong but with a soft gooey centre. Her career is her priority and she will do whatever it takes to get what she needs but this includes wearing her heart that’s on her sleeve because of the kind of job she’s in. Jake is at the top of his game, he’s going after that championship with everything he has. However, he ends up finding himself very distracted after bumping into Georgia, unable to get her off his mind he tries doing the opposite and gets as close to her as he can. The forced proximity between these two is absolutely everything, it’s got to be one of my favourite tropes and this one certainly had me giggling and kicking my feet.

These characters are both such kind souls, putting everyone’s else’s needs before their own but when they start to lean on each other it’s the most beautiful journey to embark on. The spice? unreal. The mouth on Jake and even Georgia coming out of her shell had my mouth watering and my kindle thrown across the room. This book was the perfect blend of holiday romance and spice with banter and the wittiest of remarks in every chapter. The perfect read for this time of year and I cannot wait to read more of Marina’s work.

Thank you to Marina and Love Notes PR for the eARC! So so grateful for the opportunity to read and review this one.

This was such a cute and cosy festive read. It's the first book that I have read by the author and I will definitely read more by them. I loved Jake and Georgia's chemistry and I wanted them to have their happy ending. I also loved that the Make A Wish project was part of the story. I'll start by saying: I thought both Jake and Georgia were good main characters and I was rooting for them to make it as a couple. I also thought the secondary characters surrounding them added to the story and to my enjoyment of this book. I love a good second chance romance and this story delivered on that aspect.

What didn't work for me is the reasons they kept giving for not being able to be together, notably how different their lives were with hers in Austin, TX and his all over the world. As if their best friends Henry and Jane weren't in the exact same situation and making it work well enough that they even got married!

I didn't really understand Rachel's motivations to be as heinous with them as she was. Like did she not want her brother to be happy more than she wanted him to be an F1 champion? Because if not, that's pretty sh!tty.

I do understand Georgia not wanting kids considering the genetic aspect of her brother's spina bifida, but there are other ways to have children if that was so important to Jake and her. She didn't seem reluctant to have kids per se, she just didn't want to pass on her genetic baggage... and he would have been a great dad regardless of how that child came to be theirs.

I also felt like the entire barn renovation completely happened off page whereas it felt like such an important part of their journey being back home!

I would give this book 3.5 stars and liked it enough to want to read the others in the series.
I received an advance copy from LoveNotes PR and am leaving this honest review freely.

This was a beautiful read. I think Jake and Georgia are perfect for each other, if only they could see that. Because of their past hurt, their walls kept crumbling and building again. And that lead to some heartwarming and heartbreaking moments that kept me smiling and made my eyes numb. A perfect read for those who love a good second chance romance, with emotional depth and some beautiful hot chemistry.

You Wish by Marina Adair is a beautifully emotional second-chance Christmas romance that balances warmth and heartbreak in equal measure.
The story follows Georgia, who works at Make-A-Wish helping children with disabilities, and Jake, a professional F1 driver whose fame hides years of pain, loss, and regret. When their paths cross again after years apart, all the feelings they’ve buried come rushing back ... and so does the question of whether love can truly heal what time has broken.

This book surprised me. It’s cozy yet heavy, tender yet deeply emotional. I adored Georgia’s character - her empathy and resilience shine through every chapter. The way she carries her past and still chooses kindness made her so easy to root for.

Jake is quieter, steadier, and his devotion to Georgia absolutely melted me. I loved their slow rediscovery of each other; it felt earned, mature, and incredibly human.

My main critiques: I wish the Formula 1 element had been explored more (it felt more like a backdrop than a core part of the story), and the writing had a few confusing or slightly awkward sections. But those small flaws didn’t take away from how heartfelt the story was overall.
If you love second-chance romances with real emotional depth, cozy winter vibes, and just enough spice to warm your heart: this one’s for you.

Thank you to Marina Adair and Love Notes PR for the ARC 💕

You put Jake Evans on a race track and he is right at home. He has everything under control and usually finds himself coming in first at the finish line. But you get the man anywhere near love and he hits the brakes hard and fast... because love is the one thing he has never won at! That is until maybe now?

Between the pages of You Wish you will meet a man that is no good at love, it's the one thing in his life that he doesn't have figured out, but that is about to change as his elusive "girl the that got away" shows up on his doorstep. When he opens the door and sees Georgia Warren standing there he can' believe his eyes, he thought she was long gone with no plan of ever coming back. But, she is back now and needs a favor, one that might just bring them closer than ever! But will Georgia be willing to give them a second shot after the way they crashed and burned so badly last time?

Once again Ms. Adair has waved her magical literary wand over the pages and created an unforgettable romance with characters that will steal every bit of your heart. I loved meeting this pairing and reading the wonderfully penned story they had to tell. The words were heartfelt, the characters easy to love, and the story line unique and very engaging! A win on all levels for me! Highly recommend you take a chance on this one, I guarantee it'll leave your heart happy!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Georgia Warren is a Sweet, kind person, and all she wants to do is give a boy his wish. The only thing is she needs to approach someone that broke her heart. It’s not easy. The Wish Project is very important to her. A non-profit that helps kids all over the state of Texas. The man she is about to approach is none other then Jake “Every Time” Evans the man who’s very important to a little boy. He’s a famous F1’s driver of Nova Motorsports. The boy who wants to meet him hits a deep emotion in her. When he approaches her well it’s pretty funny. She needs to convince him how important it is. He finally agrees, but he has one condition. Georgia isn’t about to, but it’s not for her. It’s for Ben a 10 year old boy. She needs to put her feelings aside. Jake got on her last nerve. The heartbreaking thing was he didn’t know why she was so upset with him. When he learned about what happened a decade ago he was overwhelmed with shock. The love these two have for each other is so warming. I laughed so hard when Grandma Joy caught them, but Georgia was glad she didn’t see everything.

What transpires thought-out the book is both funny, heartwarming, and heartbreaking.
Marina really gives us all the feels.

If you love found family, slow-burn romances, and the charm of small-town holiday magic, You Wish needs to be on your TBR.

Georgia works as a wish-maker for seriously ill children, a job she pours her whole heart into. Jake “Every Time” Evans, on the other hand, is a confident F1 driver whose public persona hides a much softer core. The two share a complicated history—full of old heartbreak and memories that still linger—and watching them navigate those layers of hurt and affection is both tender and beautifully handled.

The pacing is spot on, with just the right amount of emotional build-up, character growth, and festive atmosphere. The small-town setting is cozy and vivid, and Jake’s “tough exterior, golden heart” is incredibly satisfying. Their relationship feels deeply genuine, with new memories forming right alongside the ones they’ve been carrying for years.

This is a heartfelt second-chance romance with all the warmth and sparkle of the holiday season.

You Wish releases November 6th.
If slow burn, emotional depth, and Christmas magic are your thing—you’ll want to grab it.

my favourite line is ' he looked like every foolish, impossible thing she'd ever wanted but never let herself believe she could have'.

Huge thanks to @lovenotes.pr and @authormarinaadair for the ARC and the opportunity to be part of the team! 💫

This was such a cozy holiday romance with a little bit of F1 flair! 🏎️✨

The story follows Jake “Every Time” Evans, a racecar driver who’s used to living fast—on and off the track. But when Georgia Warren, a junior wish coordinator from The Wish Project (and Jake’s old flame), shows up with a mission to grant a little boy’s Christmas wish, things get complicated fast. Jake agrees to help… on one condition: Georgia has to be his personal assistant for the week. Cue all the festive tension, second chances, and swoony holiday moments.

I’ve recently gotten into F1 (thanks to my brothers 😂), so I really enjoyed that side of the story—it gave the classic holiday romance a fun twist. Georgia’s decisions did frustrate me at times, but she was also super relatable. And I loved how the book showed that love isn’t enough on its own—relationships take communication, patience, and effort.

Overall, You Wish is a heartwarming second-chance romance filled with Christmas magic, emotional growth, and just the right amount of holiday chaos. Perfect for cozy December nights with hot cocoa and twinkly lights. 🎅🏼💫

You Wish by Marina Adair

Thank you Marina and @lovenotes.pr for sending me this ARC. This book came out today and is available on Kindle Unlimited🫶🏼

3.5 out of 5 stars

Georgia is trying to earn a promotion and make the ultimate Christmas wish come true. She looks to her old college boyfriend, Formula 1 racer, Jake; to help her. She goes into this agreement with strict rules to remain colleagues with Jake but he pulls out every trick and soon those rules don’t mean as much.

This is the second book in a series, but I read it as a stand alone with no confusion. I really liked Jake, he was flirty and full of confidence. I loved Georgia and her heart for her job and the sick kids she worked with. I felt like this book was very rushed and that led to the relationship between Georgia and Jake to be rushed as well. When I read a Christmas book I like it to over the top Christmas-y and I felt like this one needed more. Overall it was a cute book and definitely a good one to start with on your Christmas TBR this season🎄

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You Wish is one of those classic romances that sneaks up on you with its warmth. On the surface, it’s a charming love story full of witty banter and slow-burn chemistry—but what really makes it shine is the depth of the characters. Adair writes people, not archetypes. Every emotional beat feels earned, and every side character has a pulse.

What stood out most to me was how fully realized the leads are—not just as romantic partners, but as individuals navigating their own histories, insecurities, and hopes. Their growth never feels forced; instead, it unfolds naturally through layered dialogue and moments of vulnerability that feel wonderfully human. The supporting cast adds humor and texture without overwhelming the main story, creating that lived-in community feel Adair does so well.

The only negative I have is that - at times - the pacing can feel a little inconsistent, but honestly, it’s hard to mind when the story is so enjoyable. You Wish is a thoughtful, heartwarming romance that reminds you why character-driven storytelling never goes out of style.

~ You Wish by Marina Adair is a sweet second-chance Christmas romance about Georgia Warren, who works for the Make-A-Wish foundation, and Jake Evans, a Formula 1 driver. They were in love years ago but broke up and haven’t seen each other since. When a child’s Christmas wish brings them back together, old feelings return, and they must face their past.

~ The story takes place in a cozy small town full of Christmas magic and warm family moments. Georgia is kind and strong, but she is still afraid of getting hurt again. Jake is caring and never stopped loving her. Their chemistry is clear, and their banter is funny and romantic.

~ The book also talks about loss, forgiveness, and hope. The Make-A-Wish part adds emotion and shows how love and kindness can change lives.

~ Marina Adair’s writing is warm and emotional, and even though there are a few small mistakes, the story is beautiful.
You Wish is a cozy, touching holiday read that will make you smile, cry, and believe in love again.

Quote- “Darlin’, the snow wouldn’t stand a chance with the heat we create.”

Christmas called early this year and when I got this arc I jumped on it and from the very start I was hooked spending every free moment I had wrapped up in the lives of Georgia & Jake.

This story follow two college love birds who fell out but cross paths again when Georgia needs his help to make a young boy with spina bifada Christmas dream come true as this is a special cause of her she won’t take no for an answer even from her well to do formula 1 ex who clearly still has the hots for her and boy does she feel the same with a little Christmas magic we follow them thru a week together that may just turn into a life time if they play their cards right!

This is the perfect quick paced spicy but also emotional journey for Christmas!! Not only was I wiping my tears away at times I was keeping my feet at others and taking some sweet advice from grandma and grandpa as well!

You Wish by Marina Adair is a beautifully emotional found again romantic comedy that peels lot of layers of relationships and their complexity between Jake and Georgia , their families, their careers and the wishes they have for life and love.

College sweethearts - dedicated to each other and budding careers, relationships with family.
it was a slow burn for me to get into the characters but once i did they are heartbreaking in their past love, loss and reconnection.

The story follows Jake, the F1 phenom driver and Georgia, the Wish Granter with the biggest heart for a non-profit that helps children. Without any Spoilers, the relationship the connection never wanes, and the Found again is worth the journey. It’s funny, it’s, sad, it will tug at your heart and make you smile.

Grandpa Nik chat with Jake on the Porch is one of my favorite scenes. Worth the read, its Marina- it’s always a great read.

If it’s one thing I know, it’s when I get a new Marina Adair book in my hands, I devour it! The fact that it’s a Christmas story is a huge bonus!!! There’s something about her writing that just draws me in and connects me to the characters from page one. The banter between characters was so much fun in this story! This is a second chance romances which happens to be my absolute favorite trope. Jake and Georgia had an instant connection and hot chemistry from the first scene. (Which happens to be my absolute favorite scene. Accidental nakedness of the MMC!) Georgia was a great heroine! She was kind, hardworking and selfless. All the characters were well developed and interesting. The story itself was unique and had great conflict to keep me engaged the whole time. It was well written and just fun to read. The emotion was deep and heartwarming. This book brought all the Christmas magic! Five stars! Huge thanks to the author for a review copy. All opinions are my own!

The storyline was very good, different to what I have read before. Although in saying that I think I expected more from the book and the characters but I felt it was a little bit too rushed in some parts and I had to go back and re read certain things to see if I missed something. There were some repetitive moments that really didn’t need to be in there.

Moments in the story that I think needed more to it like them meeting Ben and also more parts of Georgias job. The ending was pretty perfect for them I think it fit their relationship, but after a year I would of though Georgia wouldn’t be as scared of their future as what she seemed in the ending.

Overall it was a good read I just think I wanted more from it. Was grateful to of received this as an ARC through Love Notes PR

First off, thank you to Love Notes PR and the author for the chance to read this as an ARC.

I wanted to love this one so badly. It's an F1 romance with some second chance holiday romance, which felt very much up my alley.

Unfortunately, this one fell very flat for me. The chemistry between Jake and Georgia was virtually non-existent for me. It was difficult to see how they had been in a relationship in the past - we don't see much of their past, we're told a little bit about it but that's it. The issues that Georgia had with a relationship in particular didn't feel fully resolved. They were valid issues to have, especially after what she had been through with her brother, but Jake and Georgia don't really communicate how they're going to handle those hurdles.

The F1 element is fairly light, so if you don't know/pay attention to the sport, it shouldn't stop you here.

This was relatively short - it's under 250 pages - but it took so long to get through because I just couldn't get into it. The epilogue was off in one small detail: Jake says fairly early on that his grandparents will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. The epilogue is a one year time jump and says 60 years.
