It's been a while since I've been back to Dogwood Cove but when I heard this was a single mom/firefighter romance I asked Julia "WHEN WHERE HOW" because I wanted my hands all over this bad boy. And man, oh man, it was so great.

Sawyer has watched all of his siblings fall in love and he has said time and again that that will never be him. Well, that is until he lays his eyes on Tori and she takes his breath away. They promise each other that it will just be one night, but Sawyer can't get Tori out of his head and when he unknowingly makes friends with her son, they both realize that they need more than just one night together.

"To get it out of our systems" is possibly one of my favorite phrases in romance because I always laugh and say YEAH RIGHT. I can't tell you the number of times I said the same thing to Sawyer because as much as he thought he was going to be a single playboy forever, Tori and Cooper had him wrapped around their fingers. And they were all so cute together.

I haven't read the other books in the Donnelly's series, but you can bet I am interested in going back and reading about his brothers and sister. This was a stellar addition to the Julia's backlist and I am so happy I got a chance to read it!

Hot, hot, hot!!! One night with the hot fireman turns into one you can’t stop thinking about. Sawyer is seriously the perfect book boyfriend. He’s charming, sexy, funny and a fireman. The last of the Donnelly’s to not be tied down or soon to be tied down. This ladies man only does one night stands but when Tori comes into his life for a one night to forget he’s willing to play the part only thing he can’t stop thinking about her. Lucky for him she’s moved into his hometown. This one night stand to friends with benefits is so good. She’s the whole package and perfect girl for sawyer. Single mom, beautiful romance author. I absolutely loved this story and was the perfect final book to the series. Such a great series and must add for your TBR! Can’t wait for the next series with Willow and baseball!!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ .5 Loved, would recommend to everyone, only a small issue

Sawyer witnessed each of his siblings finding love, repeatedly insisting that it would never happen to him. However, everything changes when he meets Tori, whose presence captivates him. Though they initially agree to just one night, Sawyer finds himself unable to shake thoughts of Tori. As he unintentionally befriends her son, they both realize their connection runs deeper than a fleeting encounter, craving more than just a single night together.

I think this may be my favourite Donnelley book in the series but I knew it would be! I adore a playboy turned soft for the girl of his dreams and I love it when they're both just so dumb to realise. Julia has this knack for giving you all the angst needed but making sure there is no unnecessary drama. I adored both Sawyer and Tori so much, they were both so fun to read about and felt so authentic to the real world. I loved that Sawyer had a gorgeous friendship with Cooper, it is always a treat to see the love interest have a great dynamic with the kid. Another stand out for me was Tori being accepted into the girls group with open arms and I loved seeing them all giggle together.

One Night to Win You is the conclusion to the Donnelly brothers series. I’m sad to see this series end, it was definitely a fun one. The family dynamic in it was chefs kiss, perfection! I am curious to see if Julia ties characters from ONTWY into her new series!

What I liked: I loved watching Sawyer and Cooper build their relationship. Cooper deserved a father figure and he definitely had it with Sawyer. The whole Donnelly gang was awesome too! It was fun being back involved with them. The steam was definitely 10/10.

What I didn’t like: the amount of times Sawyer used her nickname. Im all for a good nickname, but I feel like 88 times in one book is a lot.

I feel bad rating this 3 stars, but I just didn’t love it as much as I did the others in the series. I’m excited for her next series!

I was definitely waiting to see who would catch Sawyer’s heart, and be worth settling down for. Tori IS that woman, hands-down perfect for him!

One of the things I love most in a single parent/guardian romance is seeing how the non-parent mc interacts with the child(ren).
Sawyer & Cooper are their own dynamic little duo - Sawyer is a wonderful role model for Coopzilla, and Cooper is the responsibility and love Sawyer needs in his life.

The spice was spicing in this one, that’s for sure 😮‍💨
As a romance writer, Tori has many things she’s written about doing, and Sawyer’s more than willing to bring them to life 😉

You can definitely read it as a standalone, but if you read the previous books, you’ll see bits of Sawyer along the way, and how his siblings & their partners get together.

Who would have thought that all it took for the sworn bachelor Sawyer to be brought to his knees, was a single mom with a cute kid.

When Tori and Sawyer met sparks fly immediately. It takes no time for them to come apart in each other's arms. But come morning Tori is long gone or so Sawyer thought. When they meet for the second time it comes clear that the night they spent together is fresh in their mind and soon all bets are off. But spending time behind closed doors pretty soon turns out to be a lot more than just friends with benefits. But feelings have a way of showing us that trusting someone to stay isn't easy but when it's the right person all you have to do is let go because the right person is there to break your fall.

I'm sorry this is the end for this family. I've fallen in love with them and hope that with the new series that is announced at the end of this book we'll be seeing them some more.

The priorities in Sawyers life are his career as a firefighter and his family so he is content with being single. When he spends a steamy evening with Tori he doesn’t expect to see her again but he couldn’t be more wrong when she and her son move to Dogwood Cove.

Tori is a single mother who is dedicated to giving her son Cooper the best life that she can. Her reasons for moving to Dogwood Cove will not only allow her to be closer to her family but it is a new beginning for her and her son. The last person she expects to see is the man she spent one night with or that the chemistry and connection is stronger than ever.

Even though neither Tori nor Sawyer were looking for love or a relationship they soon realized that one night was not enough. The chemistry between them was intense but it was the heartwarming romance and the relationship that Sawyer had with her son that made their story so special.

This was so fun!! A single mom and the hot firefighter have a one night stand and weeks later she moves to his small town and he ends up being at her sons career day! They didn’t expect to see each other 👀

I was laughing out loud SO much with this one and there’s definitely some never read before tropes in here 👀

It’s fun seeing the goofy hero no one take seriously step up and get all soft for her kid! I loved the open communication they have and the realization they both want more.

This is book six in The Donnelly’s of Dogwood Cove series and it is Tori and Sawyer’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Sawyer was a confirmed bachelor and only did one night stands and he especially didn’t do relationships or commitments because being a firefighter he couldn’t afford to get distracted and as he loved his job he loved to play the field without being tired down to one woman. Tori is a single mom to her son Cooper who is the most important person in her life especially after his father signed over all legal rights because he didn’t want to be a father and Tori also wrote romance novels for a living under a different name so while at the firefighter’s gala with her best friend Willow she decides to enjoy the night and let her hair down especially after the news she had recently received so with her not having time for a relationship she decided to have a one night stand because it would be a great way to break her dry spell and also know that she wouldn’t see that person again. Tori and Sawyer end up having an explosive one night stand before going back to their own lives just like they agreed on but sometimes things come back to bit you when you least expect it to. Tori had just moved with Cooper to Dogwood Cove for a new start and also to be nearer her parents not knowing that soon she would see Sawyer which will complicated her life if she doesn’t stay away. Tori and Sawyer for some reason are unable to stay away from each other and even though they eventually decide on a friends with benefits relationship and start spending even more time together everything starts to change between them but neither will acknowledge how they feel but will they communicate with each other before it is too late and they end up missing out on the happiness, future and becoming a family which they all deserve. Wow what a way to end this amazing series and I absolutely loved Tori, Sawyer and Cooper because they were a perfect family after everything that they had to go through. I couldn’t put this book down as it was totally addictive right from the first page and some of the scenes between Tori and Sawyer were so hot and intense that I thought that it would completely melt my kindle so make sure that you have a cold drink handy because you are going to need it. I absolutely love this book and series and I definitely recommend you read it and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to see what this author writes next and I will be there to read them.

This book? Adorable. Wholesome. Soft in the best kind of way. One Night to Win You is like drinking a cozy latte with a shot of romance and a sprinkle of dad-energy cuteness. Sawyer—the last Donnelly standing—is the kind of man who didn’t plan to fall for anyone, let alone a single mom and her chaotic little human sidekick. But fall he does. And the funniest part? He’s the one chasing. One woman. For all nights. Period. The reversal of roles here is everything. Like, you can feel Sawyer realizing he’s down bad and still trying to pretend he’s not. Sir, be so serious.

Tori? She’s THAT girl. Strong, guarded, focused on her son, and not here to be someone’s side quest. She’s been hurt before, so when Sawyer wants more than their one-night stand turned casual thing, she’s not jumping in just because he’s charming (and hot, obviously). She makes him work for it—and he does. And he actually separates his relationship with her from the sweet little bond he starts forming with Cooper, her son. That was such a green flag moment. Like, yes king, co-parent vibes before even locking it down.

What I really loved was how healthy their communication felt. Sure, there’s a classic “cold feet” moment, but it’s not dragged out into a whole dramatic arc. They actually talk. Like adults. Revolutionary behavior in romance books lately, I swear. The love story unfolds in a way that feels natural and grown—still swoony, still emotional, but not exhausting. Plus, you get hints about what’s coming next in Willow’s story, and I’m so here for it.

If you want a romance that gives “man falls first and falls hard,” has single mom vibes, and still keeps things real and tender without leaning into toxic territory, this one’s for you. 10/10 would read again—and recommend to my emotionally unavailable friends as inspiration.

One Night to Win You is the sixth book set within the Donnellys of Dogwood Cove series, and while the family is connected, this book’s romance stands well on its own. Sawyer and Tori have a memorial one night stand together, but now neither can get the other out of their minds. When she moves to his hometown with her son, they strike a deal, keeping things fun and casual, but when feeling start to sneak in, can Sawyer prove to Tori that he’s there to stay for her and her son?

Oh, this book was so fun and full of emotion! I adored the connection between Tori and Sawyer, loved how neither really wanted something more from the other until their pesky emotions snuck into the equation! Tori was trying to do the best that she could for her son, also while trying to remain true to herself. I liked her character a lot! Sawyer was equally as amazing, for sure that a relationship would ruin his concentration at his job, so kept things light and superficial with women. I loved watching his grapple with real emotions that Tori and her son made him feel. I also loved that once he accepted facts, that he wanted to try, he wasn’t sure how to prove his staying power. I loved their connection, how they couldn’t resist the other, and how they made each other feel. I thought the interactions with Tori’s son were fun and realistic and I liked his addition to the flow of the story. This was a relatively low drama story, but there were still some moments. I really enjoyed reading this book! I have loved the stories I’ve read in this series, and it’s definitely one that I want to read from the beginning!

Absolute perfect ending to a series

Tori is a single mom who is in desperate need of a night out, and maybe a little fun between the sheets. Andy when a sexy fireman sets his sites on her & lays on the charm, she’s quickly whisked away to a fantasy world she could only imagine…or write.
But when circumstances allow for a change in scenery for Tori, she and her son Cooper relocate to the small town of Dogwood Cove. And when Cooper meets his new hero, a local firefighter at career day, little did she know that this would bring her in contact with her hot one night stand.
As these two navigate a new found friendship where they both have been secretly unable to forget their one night, their chemistry simply explodes. They know that they could be something special, but neither are looking for forever. But as their friends with benefits situation brings them deeper and deeper, they both find that they are so much more to each other. Sawyer & Tori slowly find that they are exactly what each other needs.
I loved the way that Tori and Cooper are lovingly embraced by the Donnelly clan as well as the town of Dogwood Cove. And when Tori’s romance author alter ego is discovered, I simply adored how the girls mildly fangirled. And the “research”….all I can say is to have a fan and water handy.
I’m so sad to be at the end of this amazing series, but something tells me that with characters like Sawyer, we’ll never be quite done.

Even a firefighter could not put out the five-alarm blaze that Tori and Sawyer caused at the turn of every page. Ms. Jarrett gives us a strangers to lovers, one-night stand, single mom and a firefighter romance that is impossible to put down. I loved being back in Dogwood Cove with the Donnelly clan. One Night To Win You was full of steam, fantastic banter, and swoon. I could not put this book down because the chemistry between Tori and Sawyer was off the charts from the start with their one-night stand.
Tori is a single mom who is also a romance writer who meets Sawyer, a sexy and adamant bachelor firefighter. Instant sparks ignite but both agreed to just one night and nothing more. Imagine the surprise when Tori sees Sawyer at her son's school and taking care of him. This is when the fight of the feelings starts. They both won't admit that the other one has gotten under their skin and weaved into their mind and hearts. Maybe just one more time is all they need to get each other out of their head. Well, we all know how that works and for the two of them, it started a fire that was impossible to put out. Sawyer was swoon-worthy with how he treated and reacted to Coop, Tori's son. Talk about ovaries in overdrive.
I loved this story as well as the characters. I am never disappointed when I read a Jula Jarrett book because I know that the storyline will be riveting, the characters will be relatable and it will be so easy to get lost between the pages. Yes, this is standalone but you will get more of an insight into the Donnelly clan both blood and not.

This last book in The Donnellys of Dogwood Cove series was complete and utter perfection! I knew Sawyer Donnelly would be the last one to fall, but his and Tori’s story was somehow even better than I expected!

“One Night To Win You” is tells the tale of reformed playboy and firefighter hero Sawyer Donnelly, and romance author Tori Charles, a single mom who recently moved to Dogwood Cove with her 7 year old son, Cooper.

Sawyer and Tori’s relationship started as a one night stand, and although they both had a fantastic time, neither of them expected to see the other again. But once they realized they were now living in the same town, they decided to have a secret friends with benefits situation.

Sawyer was such a swoony hero, and I loved how much he obviously cared about both Tori and Cooper. He spent part of the book convinced he could never have a serious, committed relationship, but his priorities began to shift as soon as he met Tori. I definitely think this was one of those situations where he’s willing to change, but only because it was for her.

And Tori! She was such a fun, sassy, and passionate heroine. She did her best to do right by Cooper and always put him first, and while I think she’s amazing for doing that, I was happy that being with Sawyer helped her realize that being in a romantic relationship didn’t mean she wasn’t prioritizing her son’s needs. To sum this up, I highly recommend both The Donnellys of Dogwood Cove series as well as Julia Jarrett as an author!

I absolutely adore the Donnellys, and I have been eager to find out how Sawyer's story unfolds. He's always been the jokester of the family determined to never settle down - the firefighting playboy that oozes charm and wields a smirk like a blade. That is, until he meets Tori Charles.

One night. That's all it took. After that, neither could get the other out of their mind. Tori is a single mom and romance author who gets the surprise of her life when she moves to Dogwood Cove and runs into the popular firefighter. Both Sawyer and Tori have no intention of entering relationships, but they agree that having a little fun on the side can't hurt. Because we know that always goes as planned, right?

The sparks (pun intended) fly between these two from the moment they meet and each interaction only succeeds in fueling that fire. I just love Sawyer and Tori together. There's so many fun and sweet moments between them, but lets not forget the steam as well! Sawyer is so very attentive while always bringing the fun!

And his relationship with Tori's son, Cooper, is the absolute cutest. This book had me smiling and laughing the whole way through and was the perfect ending to the Donnellys. I simply adore this family, and while I hope we continue to get glimpses of them in the future, I'm also very excited about the hints we get of Julia's upcoming series!

Sawyer is a bachelor through and through and while all his siblings are settling down he doesn’t see that in his future until after his one night with Tori and he can’t seem to get her out of his head. Tori is a single mom who recently moved to Dogwood Cove for a fresh start and she can’t believe her surprise when she sees her hot one night stand firefighter aka Sawyer lives in her new town.

Sawyer and Tori’s story is steamy, fun and playful. Sawyer unleashes something inside Tori when he agrees to help her with “research” for her romance books swearing up and down it was just a casual thing but everyone knew differently. Sawyer called Tori “Angel” the minute he saw her at the gala and he treats her just like one and the friendship he forms with her son is beyond Tori’s wildest dreams. Sawyer and Cooper are precious together.

I’m sad that this series is over, it’s been so fun sticking around in Dogwood Cove for not one but two series but I’m excited for @juliajarrettauthor new baseball series. Hello baseball pants and since the first heroine is none of than Tori’s best friend Willow so fingers crossed we get some Donnelly family updates.

Oh my goodness Julia has done it again. This book was so heartwarming and sweet and packed with heat. Sawyer is the last Donnelly brother who is a firefighter. He is a playboy and has sworn off relationships for good because of the death of his fellow fireman years ago. He believes that relationships are a distraction and will get him killed on the job. Tori is a single mom who puts her son Cooper’s needs and wants before her own. These two have a one night stand with the intention of not seeing each other again. A few weeks later Tori moves to Dogwood Cove not knowing that she will bump into her one nightstand she can’t stop thinking about again. These two began a friends with benefits no attachment relationship, but as always their feelings for each other began to grow deeper and soon its more. I loved the easy going character Sawyer was around Cooper and Tori. It was refreshing to see a Hero not balk at a single mom or her child. I also loved the witty banter between these two. Their chemistry was off the charts. It was refreshing that story wasn’t dragged out between them as well. Cooper was such an adorable little guy too.

Who would have thought that a much-needed one-night stand would turn out to be the chance of a lifetime? Both Tori and Sawyer have rules. Rules that prohibit more than a one-night stand. However, when they inadvertently meet up again, with a little man between them who needs a hero to look up to, the walls come crumbling down. Tori has had her fingers burnt in relationships and that means that her one and one only priority is her son. But when Cooper fixes his sights on Sawyer, Tori realizes that she is as lost as her son is in the light that beams down on them from the firefighter's gaze. Sawyer had a one-night rule, but with Tori, those rules quickly become redundant as Sawyer is lost in the attraction between him and Tori and the little man who needs a hero latches onto him. Just when it would seem that all is lost, Sawyer almost loses his life, and it is Tori who steps into the breech and makes him part of her family. The novel ends with a romantic and sweet conclusion as the pair eventually realize that they need each other more than the air they breathe. The novel comes to a romantic conclusion, a copy of which I received as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This was my first book by Julia and I really enjoyed it. I love books that are set in Canada, they have such a homey feel for me (and I love being able to actually place things!) The writing was really fun and engaging. The chemistry between Sawyer and Tori was Devine, and overall it was such a cute and delightful read!

I loved Sawyer's charm and sense of humour, he gave you all the playboy vibes but underneath had a heart of gold. Him and Tori together was just pure fire (wink wink), they really were explosive from day one and I just loved how Sawyer fell for Tori. Also the way he treated Tori's son, was so sweet, you couldn't help but fall in love with him. Tori was such a likeable FMC, she had such a strength to her but also such relatable vulnerability. I could not stop smiling as read through this.

There was also such great secondary characters. As this was my first book and was the last book in the series, I didn't feel like I was missing out so you could absolutely read as a standalone. If you are looking for a charming comfort read, would definitely recommend this one!

The trope of the commitment-phobic man is overplayed. Which is why Sawyer's genuine interest and affection is cute. He has no idea he is falling in love as he adores his unforgettable woman. These two are sweet and spicy at the same time. Nice HEA and Epilogue.

Sawyer is definitely a one-night stand kind of guy. As a fireman, he has no shortage of women wanting to be with him. He has his own reasons for not wanting to commit to anyone.

Tori has her wonderful son Cooper, who is the center of her life. After what she’s been through with her ex, she really hasn’t been interested in dating. But when her friend, Willow, encourages her to take a walk on the wild side, Tori does so…with Sawyer.

Although they both agree that it’s a one and done night, their attraction is so strong that they reconsider…but theirs is not a smooth road. Sawyer is commitment-phobic and Tori doesn’t want her son to become emotionally attached to someone who isn’t planning on being around for the long haul.

But all is not as it seems!

Enjoyable story with wonderful strong main and supporting characters! The banter amongst the brothers is hilarious as is Sawyer’s propensity to assign nicknames to everyone he knows!

Sawyer is arguably one of the most fun and lovable Donnelly siblings and he finally gets him time to shine in ONE NIGHT TO WIN YOU, the last book in the Donnellys of Dogwood Cove series. If you have been desperately waiting for the youngest brother to get his happily ever after, you won’t be disappointed. Tori (and her son, Cooper) is the perfect match for Sawyer, and Mr. Doesn’t Do Relationships finally realizes that with the right person, relationships aren’t that scary at all.

It’s so bittersweet to say goodbye to a series and to a cast of characters that are so fun and relatable, but Sawyer’s story was the perfect end. I love how silly he is (I would 100% want a Sawyer-issued nickname!), and how loyal and dedicated he is to his family and to his job. He had no desire for anything more than one-night stands, until single mom Tori entered his life. After their own one-night stand, the universe worked its magic and threw them together again and again, until they’re forced to see that maybe they were meant to be more than just one night. Tori works through her own qualms about relationships while also balancing being a mom to her seven-year-old. The both of them work through a lot, but Sawyer is there for them the entire way. These two bring all the laughs, all the feels, and all the heart in this story, and it really shows that when you know, you know.

Watching all his siblings find their happily ever after by falling in love has only cemented Sawyer’s stance on being a bachelor for the rest of his life. As adamant as he has been on his bachelor status things take a turn when he lays his eyes on Tori. What is meant to be one night with each other fate takes things in its own hands and Sawyer can’t get her out of his head no matter what. Tori and Sawyer are brought together again and since neither can fight this attraction, they have its decided that a friends with benefits relationship will work out just fine for them. Tori’s son, Cooper and Sawyer have this amazing bond that is the absolute cutest thing ever and if Sawyer really thought he could walk away at any point, he was badly mistaken. As hard as they may fight things it’s inevitable that they will fall hard, but can they both let go of their fears to explore what is happening between them or walk away from it all? Sawyer was such an amazing character to watch throughout this whole series and to see him fall absolutely melted my heart, but watching him with Cooper really steals your heart, mind, and soul.

These two had my heart from the very first page ( no really something I cannot really put into words pulled me to them like w magnet and before I knew it I was tumbling headfirst into a journey that was truly a emotional rollercoaster In every single way . I smiled , I laughed, I cried like a baby and I rooted so freaking hard . Will Cooper and Tori get the happily ever after they both deserve. Angst , witty banter, humor , heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, love , passion, drama , unexpected surprises, secrets, second chances, family , friendships and so much more . He’s the last sibling standing. She’s the woman he can’t get out of his mind, even if he tries. But is he really trying all that hard? It’s amusing to witness the fall of Sawyer for a woman. One woman. Like, one woman for all the nights, not many for one or some of them. And the funniest part is that he sort of has to convince HER to take the chance on a future with him. Rightfully so, I might add, because Tori’s been burned badly. She’s got a lot going on. And Sawyer can’t be first in her mind. Luckily, he clearly understands that and isn’t afraid to fall for both Tori and her son. The real question is how things turn out when cold feet make an appearance.

I truly like that these two communicate and Sawyer is 100% able to keep any relationship with Tori separate from the friendship he’s building with Cooper. And those cold feet don’t last long. Logic and love prevail, even if we have to worry for a second or two. We also get a glimpse of what’s to come, and I can’t wait for more time with Willow and whatever happens to fall in her way next!

The last Donnelly has fallen! First I’m a little sad to see this series end because I’ve really enjoyed reading it. And I have to say Sawyer is a very close second to Beckett in terms of favorite. We even got a little bit of Mama Donnelly!

Sawyer is definitely someone that likes casual sex, which is fine as he is upfront about it to all the women he is with. He is very into Tori when they first met and have a one night stand. He is even disappointed when she is gone when he wakes up. Tori for her part doesn’t want anything serious as she is in a transition phase of her life.

I really liked that Sawyer was a genuinely good guy. He is a good brother, son, and friend. And even when they were just causally hooking up he was very good to both Tori and Cooper. Both Tori and Sawyer were a bit slow to realize their feelings for each other. Some other things I really liked was the spice, and the fact that the breakup was like less than day. And pretty much every scene with Cooper and Sawyer.

I don’t know about you but a firefighter MMC is my kryptonite. Sawyer is sweet, kind, sexxxxyyy, and his interactions with Tori’s son, Cooper, will warm your heart. ⁣

Tori is a sweet confident woman but she has her own fears that she has to overcome in this book just like Sawyer. She is a romance writer and I absolutely loved this for a characters job. It was so fun to see that side of things and whew that research she does 🤭 Sawyer is all to happy to help 🤣 ⁣

I have been waiting for Sawyer's book since the first book of the Dogwood Cover series, and let me tell you this did not disappoint! Sawyer's dirty mouth, plus his personality is book boyfriend material. All the nicknames he gives people. I laughed so many times while reading this.

I really liked Tori. She was an incredible single mom and made sure Cooper had the best life. Speaking of, I absolutely adored Cooper. I would do anything for that little boy. I loved his instant connection with Sawyer.

I also loved that we got to see the other family members from other books in this series. While I am sad that this is the last book, I am so grateful that I got to read them all and experience Dogwood Cove.
