That war cry he howls when he sees his beloved cowering under the great axe of his enemy? I haven't seen a warrior go that ballistic since William Wallace in Braveheart.
𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳 is the second installment in the fantasy historical romance series that weaves together together the destinies of the MacLeod and Sinclair clans.
Chloe is shattered to learn that the person behind her sister's mysterious disappearance is none other than her new boyfriend, and now she, too, is in danger. When a magical stone transports Chloe back to ancient Scotland with Bruce right behind her, only the intervention of a fierce highland warrior saves her from his grasp.
Safe under Malcolm's protection, and reunited with her missing twin, Chloe must learn to master the stone's power and keep it out of Bruce's hands as the prophecy unfolds.
Michelle Miles vividly brings to life medieval Scotland with plenty of adventure and peril. As a woman from the 21st century, Chloe's wit and resourcefulness prove that she's more than capable of saving herself if need be.
This romance wasn't so much a slow-burn as a sudden inferno. Despite the recent betrayal she experienced, Chloe finds herself opening up to charismatic Malcom. His impulsiveness and fierce loyalty guide both his sword and his heart. While their relationship seemed to progress at a relatively quick pace, who am I to judge fated mates and predestined love? Their passion certainly feels underlaid with tender romance and sincere devotion.
I really enjoyed the close connection between the two sisters, as well as the banter they exchange. I can hardly wait for the highly anticipated appearance of their wayward older sister, Brianna, as the story continues!
Readers of Diana Gabaldon and Nora Roberts are sure to enjoy this epic time travel romance series.

A dangerous foe from the future has followed Chloe and will stop at nothing to reclaim the stone for himself and his ancestors.
Michelle Miles is now one of my go-to authors. This author is absolutely brilliant, and the book will keep you guessing from start to finish. From the moment I picked up this book until the moment I put it down, I might as well have been on vacation. All I could do was keep reading. The characters were perfect for each other, and it always feels like I'm home when past characters play a vital role in another book. All in all, if you enjoy time travel, this is one author you won't want to miss.

⭐ Katie’s Review of Loving the Highland Warrior
Loving the Highland Warrior swept me away from the very first page. Michelle Miles blends time travel, ancient magic, and Highland danger into a story that feels both thrilling and deeply tender. Chloe’s journey—born from her fierce love for her sister—immediately pulled at my heart. She’s courageous, clever, and so easy to root for as she’s thrust into a world of clans, prophecy, and peril.
And Malcolm… he’s everything I adore in a Highland hero. Protective, honorable, and quietly intense, he steps into Chloe’s chaos with a loyalty that feels fated. Their connection sparks quickly, but it grows with such warmth and trust that it feels completely earned. Every moment between them carries that delicious mix of tension and destiny.
The magical keystone adds a wonderful layer of mystery, tying their lives together in ways neither of them expects. The danger surrounding it keeps the story moving at a breathless pace—raids, secrets, and a villain who refuses to let Chloe go. Yet even with all the action, the book never loses its heart. The sense of found family, the beauty of the Highlands, and the bond between sisters give the story a comforting emotional core.
If you love protective heroes, time‑travel twists, and romances touched by magic and fate, this book is a delightful escape. It’s the kind of story that makes you believe love can cross centuries.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s a mix of time travel, romance, and a bit of magic, all set against the backdrop of medieval Scotland. Chloe is on a mission to find her missing sister, and that desperation makes her easy to root for from the start. The story takes a sharp turn when a strange stone sends her back in time, and from there the stakes rise quickly. I liked how the modern mystery blends into the historical setting without feeling confusing. Malcolm is very much the protective Highland warrior type, but he has depth beyond that. His sense of duty to his clan and the stone adds weight to his choices, and his growing connection with Chloe feels natural given the danger they face together. Their relationship builds through trust and shared purpose, not just instant attraction. The found family element within the clan was a highlight for me. It made the world feel warmer and more lived-in, even with all the threats surrounding them. The magical stone and the idea of fate tying these characters together worked well and kept the plot moving. Overall, this is a solid time travel romance with action, emotion, and a strong sense of destiny. If you enjoy protective heroes, fated encounters, and magical objects that change everything, this is an easy and enjoyable read. I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I rather enjoyed this time travel romance, where the past is influenced by the present, and hopefully, future outcomes will solve the problems the MacLeods are experiencing. When her sister disappears, Chloe is in despair, not knowing which way to turn. Her current boyfriend is also acting strangely, and as Chloe starts to recall the events of the attack at the museum frame by frame, she is convinced that Bruce knows more than he is telling her. Following the trail of breadcrumbs left by her sister, Chloe finds herself in medieval Scotland in 1357, fleeing from the one man she should have been able to trust. Malcolm MacLeod is not that surprised when Chloe drops at his feet, as his knowledge of the prophecy has prepared him for the unlikely event. He does, however, not expect to feel as strongly about Chloe as he does. With tension between the clans mounting, it becomes imperative that he guards both Chloe and the stone she is carrying. The novels in this series follow on from one another, and although this book can be read as a standalone, it does end on a cliffhanger. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Take some history, sprinkle it with magic fantasy, add some spice, add characters with depth and you have a story worth reading. Beautifully done with the mystic of the Highlands to bring joy to any reader.
