WICKED AND WEIRD by David E. Anderson and Brody Butcher
Maisey Mayfield has seen her share of strange, but nothing quite like this. One minute she’s watching her high school football team lose another game, and the next she’s helping a classmate who can’t stop punching himself in the face. The reason? A witch with a vendetta. What starts as a quick favor turns into an all-night road trip full of curses, chaos, and one very talkative boy named Keller Creed who insists on tagging along. Together they find themselves tangled in old magic, missing relics, century-old secrets, and a deal with a witch who does not take rain checks. Wicked and Weird is a fast, funny, magical adventure about bad decisions, questionable friendships, and the fine art of staying alive when things go terribly wrong.
I love a good mystery! Add witty banter and fun characters and I’m hooked. Also the fact that this is a co-write with each author writing in the the opposite POV (David- Maisey, Brody-Keller) it’s a phenomenal read! They blend and build and complement each other beautifully! A fun, thrilling mystery read! Definitely can’t wait to see what’s next!
BRODY BUTCHER & DAVID E. ANDERSON smashed it with wicked & weird. This is their first time collaborating together, and honestly, I think 🤔 they did very well. This story flows, it flies, it casts a spell on you! 💥💢 It's a little spooky, is involves a couple of high school kids on a mission trying to recover an object for somebody, in return for having their lives spared. It's definitely a mystery worth packing up all of your "inspector gadget" things, and cruising along for the ride. 💨💨VROOM BROOM
Wicked and Weird is exactly what the title promises — chaotic, charming, and a little bit cursed. Maisey and Keller’s road trip from hell (literally) is packed with snappy dialogue, wild magic, and nonstop mayhem. Fast, funny, and wickedly entertaining — I couldn’t stop reading!
Witches, magic, and teenagers.... what could go wrong? Follow Maisey and Keller on their journey to complete a favor for a witch. Will they be successful or will their banter get jn the way of possibly saving their own lives?
Brody Butcher and David E Anderson collaborating together was absolutely great, I loved this story, and I'm praying there will be another. I highly recommend this story.
