This was fun in a sort of junk-food kind of way. Barely there plot, just good intentions and vibes.
It was good, but the pacing was weird at times with random time jumps. I would have liked to see their relationship develop a bit more on page; for a short book, it felt a bit too long at times, but it was still a good time.

Ok, this book was hands down amazing. I've seen so many tiktoks and reels on scare actors and dreamed to have a MM book written. The spice in this book was top tier holy hotness 🔥🔥🔥🔥. This story flowed perfectly. I felt like I was there at this theme park and witnessed all these scare actors perform. The build-up, tension, and angst between these men was out of this world crazy 🥵🥵. This author really did amazing with this story.
This story follows Ash and Jude. Jude has been working at this park as a scare actor for over 3 years. He built it up to what it is now. His partner didn't come back this year and now Ash is his new partner. Ash has been obsessed with Jude. He watched all his videos and learned the routines to just get a job to be near Jude. Jude hates Ash and is threatened by him. He thinks he will lose all he's worked for. Most importantly, he hates how Ash makes him feel. He hates how he wants more and he's scared to be let down again. I loved seeing them as partners in the park. One of my favorite parts is when they change their choreography based on how pissed off they are at each other and improvise 🤣🤣.
The connection and sexual tension between them was off the charts. The hate sex and revenge sex was written so well and had me 💦💦😏🤭. This story didn't have much of a plot. It was mostly these two battling their feelings for each other and loving what they do for work. There was some hurt/comfort as well! There was so much push and pull between these two. Ash wanted more than sex and being hidden. Jude couldn't give him that even though he wanted that. Seeing Jude fight himself and deprive himself of love made me so sad 😭. Ash knows what he wants and he will get Jude. He was persistent and never stopped fighting for them. I loved the ending of this book and what Ash did for Jude. Seeing these two finally get their HEA was everything. This was a great Halloween book with so much spice 😋😌. I highly recommend!

Ten stars!! Pulled me in in the first chapter and never let me go. Emotional, angsty storyline with multi layered characters. Lots of crazy twists. Author did a great job telling these characters story. I felt like I knew them personally. Highly recommend this awesome book.

What you going to find in this book? enemies to lovers, obsession, can't keep there hands off each other. Oh… and lots of smutty, hot, vers times.
So we stars off by meeting Jude, Ridgeway parks scream scenes OG hunter. He made the hunters the most popular attraction, and he loves it. But then the other hunter he worked with for the last 2 years leaves and they bring in Ash. Ash is violence and chaos always going off script and driving Jude crazy.
But why can't Jude stop thinking of him? Why does his heart beat faster when Ash touches him?
This book is filled with.. I shouldn't want him but I can't help myself vibes. I couldn't put it down and and working where they did allowed them to let out there feral sides. Highly recommend

Wow just wow this was just wow! This book was absolutely amazing. I was hooked from the very first chapter. I love the way that the author wrote the characters. I love the way that everything just flowed together beautifully. This is the first book I've ever read by this author and I'm very glad I did cuz it was so worth it. I look forward too many more from this author.

Just forget about real-life concerns like, how do they make a living the other 11 months of the year, and dive on in to this wildest fantasies about two amusement park Halloween scare performers whose rivalry turns into the hottest hate sex in the park (uh…not in public, don’t worry! or, well...in public but always hidden from view! 😂).
Jude’s the experienced scare-er, he’s made a name for himself as the Hunter and taken over managing the performance and has become quite the attraction for the “scare me” crowd at the park, with tons of love on social media helping to build his profile and bring people in. But his former scare-partner didn’t come back this season, and the new guy…well, let’s just say he keeps switching up the choreography and going off script. And it. Is driving. Jude. WILD.
Their chemistry is off the charts, Ash getting under Jude’s skin and deliberately pushing his buttons during performances…but it’s working for the crowd, building them as the Hunters to ship, bringing people in in droves…and Jude cannot get away from this cocky asshole who keeps switching things up.
Their chemistry explodes, and it’s game on after hours from there. But Ash has a secret…
…he’s a might bit obsessed with Jude. In fact, Jude is the reason he tried out for this job. Getting close to Jude is a dream come true.

Jude is a dick, to be clear, he really is a prickly black cat jerk who treats Ash like crap a lot, probably too much, but Ash sees beneath the façade to the hurting man and keeps digging for him, trying to connect. It’s ugly and messy and wonderful in turns. These two are fire together. In the microcosm of the month before Halloween, they catch fire and burn it to the ground…and maybe, just maybe, find something forged in the destruction that could be the best thing to ever happen to them both.
Just go with it. It lacks the depth and layers of the author’s newer Rules to Ruin a Man series, but it’s hot and down and dirty and fun. As someone whose been to Six Flags’s zombie nights during Halloween season, I could picture every move and chase, and it’s fun. Turn off your brain and join the Hunters.
HFN, probably HEA (though I’m still wondering what their goals and regular jobs are…I probably just missed it bc…HAWT). Co-worker rivals to lovers. Halloween. There is an injury toward the end. NO OM action at all. OM drama from Ash thinking Jude is Done with him and flirting at a bar, which Jude…shuts down fast. 😂😂. Safe for me. Recommended.

I loved this book. It was such a fun, intense, and steamy romance. Of course I've seen videos of scare actors online, but this is my first time reading a story about them and I loved that aspect of it. I was fascinated seeing things from that perspective of the performance. I was excited to get into it. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Ash and Jude. It was a battle between these two, and tension, sexual tension, and burning chemistry. I loved the dynamic between them and the way their relationship developed and it's pacing. And when things heated up, boy was it hot! But there was also a hurt/comfort element here- which I loved as one of my favorite tropes- and a vulnerability they each felt, even if it was pushed down. I also really liked the supporting characters and their role of elevating the dynamic of the main characters.
I was completely hooked to this book. This is the first story I've read by this author and I would definitely read more. 5 stars

One of THE books that every enemies-to-lovers reader must read. Definitely, without a doubt. Sure, Halloween is a theme, but it's not so prominent that you can only read it at this time of year. And let's be honest, it's one of our favorite times of year.
The atmosphere, the tension, and the thrill between the two of them is simply captivating. I love everything about it. Absolutely everything and more. They hate each other on a level that not only crackles but burns, because there is so much passion and obsession resonating that it's almost unstoppable.
When they meet, there's nothing tender about it, but it's emotional in a way I haven't read about very often before.
A wonderful book, a beautifully thought-out story that will warm you up no matter what time of year it is.

This was a first for me, I loved it.
The story actually played out like a movie in my head. The stages, the characters, everything in black and white tones....
The interaction between the main characters is off the charts. Posession, love, hurt, trust all bundled in to one obsessive lovestory.
It's good I am on a break from work because my boss would not have been impressed with me glued to my ebook like some crazy librarian, and believe me I would have ignored every phonecall, email and co-worker until I completed this.

Wow, after seeing the negative reviews i do not understand as this one completely pulled me in. The chemistry between Jude and Ash is absolutely electric, all tension, obsession, and heat from the very first page. The whole setting with the Halloween scare actors was such a fun and unique backdrop, and the way it all played out felt so vivid, like watching a film in black and white.
Personally i found it intense, messy, and addictive but all in the best way, I couldn’t put it down. A dark, sexy enemies-to-lovers story that really delivers on both the spice and the emotion.

The spice and tension we love Sofia Hard for with a spooky season flare! While the book is set in an Halloween themed amusement park, it’s mild enough to be enjoyed all year round. What’s not mild at all is the tension between Jude and Ash! The push and pull as they both try to push the other into submission had me eager to see what happened next. The spice was spicy and exactly what I was hoping for. The dirty talk had me blushing. Best of all, the thirsty online comments had me cackling to myself. 10/10, recommend.

First book I’ve read by Sofia Hard and I am hooked. Jude is your typical stubborn, hardheaded, emotionally stunted MMC who hates how Ash is able to get under his skin. Ash has a bit of an obsession with Jude and the 2 fight for dominance in the twisted interactions they have. If you are looking for a book with an intense plot, this isn’t for you. This is mainly smut and yearning and I am 100% here for it. Jude and Ash work through their issues, get a happy ending and we get a whole lot of spice. Sofia makes you care about her characters, lays out the world quite well and believably and then blows it away with the spice.

If you're looking for ALL the spice between 2 HOT AF scare actors set in Kinktober, look NO further. Jude and Ash's collision story is a definite recommend. While I went into this one knowing it'd likely be all smut, I was pleasantly surprised there was also a love story and feelings, 2 characters that were made for each other in all the ways. I'm really happy these 2 got more than just a short novella and a couple hookups. It's short but a fast read and SO worth it.

I didn't know how badly I needed this book! I'm obsessed! It's FILTHY but there is also a lot of emotion. I cried a couple times. I had to put my kindle down a couple times because it was an INFERNO. It started so toxic. The way they intentionally hurt each other (emotionally) was so heartbreaking but, man! When they put each other back together! So beautiful! I couldn't ask for a better ending. It was absolute perfection.

Jude is a veteran at the theme park's Halloween Scream, Ash is the newbie. Ash has had a crush on Jude & tries to befriend but Jude won'r have it. As they work together the theatrics of the show become real. Jude & Ash both have drama in their past & won't let feelings get in the way. Medium to high angst, extremely well written. This was a great read. I really enjoyed reading the dynamic between Jude and Ash and seeing them get their HEA. Great plot that kept me entertained throughout the book. Great sexy times with the guys! Would not be sad to see them in another book or novella down the road. I’d definitely be interested in reading more from this author thought. Writing was well done and it was a quick read. Thank you to the author for this arc copy.

Steamy, fun read with spooky vibes. Jude and Ash are paired up for the first time as scare actors. They begin as rivals just hooking up but morph into something deeper, something real. Jude does everything he can to keep Ash at a distance but Ash is playing to win. Jude didn't stand a chance! This was hot, a bit angsty, and hella entertaining. Especially the 🌶️ and show theatrics.

Jude and Ash were fire and gasoline. They came together hard but finished so sweetly. Ash showed up for Jude in ways he never imagined anyone would. This book was so good and so intense. Very worth the read. Especially if you like enemies to lovers.
