A Thrilling Journey to Mars Where Survival Tests the Mind, Innovation Drives Progress, and the Future Is Stranger than Fiction. Strap In!
Mars is a harsh and unforgiving environment—where survival depends on cutting-edge science, human ingenuity, and daring decisions. Imagine being trapped in a Martian lava oxygen dwindling, water gone, suit batteries nearly drained, and freezing temperatures creeping in. Only through technology and determination can you survive.
Years later, ascend the space elevator to the Martian Rehab Orbiter, a marvel of human engineering that features artificial lakes, atmospheric regulation, and advanced life-support systems, enabling space tourism. On the surface, autonomous robotic pickers harvest orchards, Centaur Walking Wagons enrich sterile soil, and MG Aerocars streak through high-tech slalom races.
As artificial intelligence evolves, critical questions emerge—will sentient robots become humanity’s greatest allies or our greatest threat? Built on real and plausible science, Meta Mars explores human expansion into space, where technology and survival are inseparably linked.
Are you ready for the journey?
"Richard Anderson has created a franchise filled with meaningful characters that explores a very possible and frightening human future, but ultimately one with hope." —Nevin Densham, science fiction writer and producer for TV and film
Richard M. Anderson holds a master’s degree in microbiology from San José State University and is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Bioanalyst. A charming exploration of a future on Mars, complete with sentient AI humanoid robots and sentient brain computer interface entities. The novel takes us on a detailed exploration of established communities on Mars, with detailed descriptions of the agricultural, transport, habitat and governance systems that might operate on the red planet in the future. The text is part scientific expose, part utopian imagination, with a twinge of suspicion of our sentient A.I. compatriots. It’s a great imaginative exercise. What would make it five stars: more attention to plot in building stakes and suspense. I also found the language a bit stilted or clunky and longed for a bit of lyricism. Nonetheless, it was intriguing enough to keep me turning pages. Enjoyable!
