Three men fighting for the love of one unforgettable woman. A breathtaking love story . A MUST READ TODAY FOR BOOK LOVERS!!
Three men. One future. A choice that will change everything.
She chose the wrong man. Now she's paying the price…
Amber's life was perfectly planned until one man destroyed everything she thought she knew about love. Medical school dropout. Failed marriage. Shattered dreams.
This wasn't supposed to be Amber's story.
She was the girl with the plan. Top grades, medical school acceptance, a future that would finally repay her mother's sacrifices. Nothing could derail her…
Then James crashed into her life with his gentle hands and devastating smile. He became her anchor in the chaos of university life, the friend who never asked for more even though his eyes burned with want every time he looked at her.
But Amber didn't want safe. She wanted spectacular.
Levi was spectacular. Confident, brilliant, already making waves in their medical program. When he pursued her, Amber felt chosen. Special. Like she'd finally found her equal.
However, fate had other plans…
One positive pregnancy test later, her carefully constructed future collapsed.
Amber chose love over dreams. And she chose wrong.
Now her marriage is a beautiful lie falling apart at the seams. Her dreams are buried under years of playing the perfect wife to an imperfect husband.
And James, sweet devoted James, has built the life she always admired while she wasn't looking. He's still single. Still successful. Still quietly loving the woman who shattered his heart for someone else.
So what if someone else is dreaming of the same fairytale ending?
Perhaps Amber needs to sacrifice a bit more to secure her happiness with Levi. Or maybe—just maybe—she placed her bet on the wrong prince…
But second chances are fragile things. And Amber's about to discover that some windows close forever.
Will she fight for the love she threw away, or lose everything that truly matters?

This is the first book in a new series - the LoveWade Tale series and is written by two brand new authors to me.
I absolutely loved the look of the front cover and this is what initially drew me in and made me grab this book.
The story develops over quite a few years as we meet Amber as she's just heading off to uni with big dreams of becoming a doctor.
There she meets good friend James and a lovely interest, Levi.
I really felt so sorry for James as it was obvious that he wanted more than friendship from Amber and given the lovely relationship they had together, I was really surprised that she let him down and chose Levi.
I can't put my finger on it, but didn't really connect with Levi.
We quickly see Amber and Levi together, married and with a son - but life doesn't really go to plan for them as dreams are overlooked and life together isn't what it seemed and there are definitely quite a few developments here that shocked me.
The story then takes a strange turn as we see Amber struggling with the life she now finds herself in and she has to learn how to navigate the bumps along the way.
I felt this was a little underdeveloped, not so much in story terms, but there could definitely have been a bit more time spent explaining certain events and developing the characters personalities.
This was a fairly short read at just under 150 pages and I devoured it in one sitting.
Yet, I really didn't fully connect with any of the characters and I definitely had to suspend belief through the last few chapters.
I certainly would have felt differently had I been able to relate to the characters as real people rather than focussing on the sometimes strange behaviours.
Still, we're left on a bit of a cliffhanger and I just know that I'll be there for the next book - I need to know how James gets on and what becomes of Amber's proposition - I even want to see how Levi is managing.
A quirky little quick read, perfect for a rainy day at home.
I really loved the short chapters… it made for a very fast paced read. In the beginning, I could relate to Amber’s drive to succeed. (Later in the story I just couldn’t fathom her just throwing away her future potential career for a marriage, but I know that tends to be a common thing… making sacrifices for family.)
Meeting Levi in chapter 6 was memorable. And James’ heartbreak was hard to read. I also was shocked by his mother’s confrontation with Amber 😳 the quote: “Their friendship would be the anchor that could get them through anything” (about Amber James) stuck with me the whole read and it made me feel like Amber’s “love” for Levi was more lust driven. But a baby changes things so I see why they married.
A “once warm and lively home was now freezing and empty. The silence of the house was painful,” was the moment I knew Amber and Levi weren’t going to make it. Miscommunication can kill a relationship and Levi mistook his work as loyalty to Amber and Lucas. But can we talk about Emily for a second? Ughhhh. Who does she think she is giving Levi champagne at work?! Sorry not sorry, but Levi was weak. And later when the author wrote that Amber “hadn’t suspected anything” when Levi admitted is infidelity and new baby didn’t seem believable as it was written earlier that Amber suspected something with Levi and Emily and had showed up at the hospital more than once. Then Levi didn’t want to lose Amber but wanted a divorce? This didn’t make sense.
I do think that Amber drawing strength from her son is accurate - moms tend to do that. Now let’s jump towards the end: a stranger giving the kid that much money at a yard sale was wilddddd. I mean, I understand it was from James and obviously he still loves Amber, but still. Also, Amber tipsily wine kissing a stranger was equally as wild. I didn’t expect that ending and hope book 2 wraps everything up!
Thank you to the authors and Love Books Tours for the gifted copy and reading opportunity! I give this 3.5 stars.

I loved this book, however i wish it was longer and it ended on such a cliff hanger i definitely need to read the next book! The characters are fantastic i loved Ambers strength and her amazing son Lucas he is every mother's dream what a sweetheart ❤️. I really admired Ambers strength and independence and determination to give her son the best life possible. Levi what a prick! let's say no more on him! he was not worthy of Amber from the beginning, here's hoping Amber gets her happy ending but i will have to find out in book 2!
Well, well, well! Now we're talking! With plot twists, bad timing, failures and what-ifs, it has it all! 'Selecting The Wrong Love' is the Book 1 of The LoveWade Tale series.
Let's start from the beginning. Meet Amber, who was raised by her single mother and has the wonderful ambition of becoming a doctor. At university, she discovers friendship with James and love with Levi. But did she make the right choice? Hmm... The totally unexpected ending propels us into the second book in the series, which I can't wait to read!
I loved little Lucas. Who wouldn't want a son like him? On the other hand, I hated Everett with a passion. Yes, I hated her. E. Masson is a fantastic author. She conveys feelings, even the harshest ones, very directly.
I'm left with a lot of questions! Will Amber be able to fulfil her dream of becoming a doctor after all the sacrifices she has had to make? Will she find herself and finally have some peace? Okay, I'm rushing to read book two because I need answers!
Oh my goodness, this is a touching story. They always say that things happen for a reason, well I doubt that Amber deserved this. She did choose wrongly in more than one way, but she’s strong and fought through everything. When you are reading this, Amber shows the strength of a mother, and she really does give hope for us. This is a very quick read, you’re glued to it instantly. The author has wrote this beautifully, you can tell that she put her heart into it. The pages are laid out very nicely, with nice short chapters. I was a little fuming at the end, the author played tricks and now I have to wait for the next book, I can’t wait, this was a great read.
I enjoyed this book more than I expected, I don’t always reach for romance but it was a nice change of genre for me.
The story follows Amber and her journey through university, and onto adult life. Life throws her some unexpected curve balls in which the author captures the raw emotions beautifully.
Ambers relationships with other characters are not always easy but she always puts her son first like any good parent would.
Will Amber get to achieve her dream of becoming a Doctor or will she find another calling?
3 1/2 ⭐️ The storyline of this book is good however I just feel like something is missing it is a small short story at just 157 pages. I feel unsure and wanting more detail as it has a tendency to jump between characters and time frames. You can begin to feel the connection and feelings between the characters but I think with abit more detail and expansion on some scenes it could even make you cry and be amazing. Now there is an interesting end and a twist you wont expect and i think with more world building and the chapters to flow more seamlessly from each other it could easily be a 5 ⭐️ The realtions to real life are good and I still want to read the next book to see what happens.
The story spans over a number of years, though its unclear how many pass by in terms of how old Lucas is by the end of the story. It is not a particularly long book, and I think having a little more description around things like time thats passed and ages would really benefit the tale. We meet a young Amber, desperate to become a doctor and see a little of her time at University where she meets, first James, and then Levi. I really didn't warm to Levi, and felt for James. As time moves on I did feel a little for Levi, he seemed to be so determined to provide a great life for his family, not realising that all they really needed was him. As the story progressed through the middle section though I went back to not caring for him at all. I would love for more information on where James' life took him after we last see him as a University student to when we meet him as a seemingly very successful adult. Perhaps that will be revealed in the sequel. I think young Lucas is such a clever and kind young man, his entrepreneurial spirit is inspiring. The final chapter isn't how I thought things would go, and actually made me see Amber in a different light, I hope this is resolved in the sequel. I hope that book 2 sees some happiness for all involved as I think they could all do with it.
This was a quick action-packed read that tells the story of Amber and the choices she makes and the impact they have on her goals and life in general. I could not put this book down! Her friendship with James was the best. I enjoyed their time together and all the conversations. They really knew each other. Levi on the other hand was mostly a fun guy she was attracted to without really getting to know him. I liked that Amber wanted to become a doctor and was not going to Uni just to meet a man. But not all goes as plan as is life. Amber had to learn to live with the consequences of putting her career goals on the backburner while her husband went through residency. I enjoyed Amber as a single mom learning how to live life on her own. And I was wondering if James was going to pop back into her life. There was not a clean ending, as this is the first book in the series. If you enjoy reading college romance, family drama, single mom, and life struggles you will love this!
