This newly revised and expanded edition of Insights on Revelation explores one of the most perplexing books in Scripture. Drawing on Gold Medallion Award–winner Chuck Swindoll’s 50 years of experience studying and preaching God’s Word, this series combines Chuck’s deep insight, signature easygoing style, and humor to bring a warmth and practical accessibility not often found in commentaries.
Each of the 15 volumes in Swindoll’s Living Insights New Testament Commentary series combines verse-by-verse commentary, charts, maps, photos, key terms, and background articles with practical application. The newly updated volumes now include parallel presentations of the NLT and NASB before each section. This series is a must-have for pastors, teachers, and anyone else who is seeking a deeply practical resource for exploring God’s Word.
Charles Swindoll has devoted over four decades to two passions: an unwavering commitment to the practical communication and application of God's Word, and an untiring devotion to seeing lives transformed by God's grace. Chuck graduated magna cum laude from Dallas Theological Seminary and has since been honored with four doctorates. For his teaching on Insight for Living, he has received the Program of the Year award and the Hall of Fame award from the National Religious Broadcasters as well as multiple book awards.
This is an excellent Bible study. I took my time reading and studying the book of Revelation. Charles Swindoll is an excellent Bible teacher. I love reading his books as they help me dig deeper in my Bible study time. This book includes the scripture in 2 translations and commentary for these verses. He breaks up the chapters in an easy format where I could read one chapter and study it for as long as I felt lead. I hope he’ll do a commentary on the Old Testament someday.
This is the second book in the Insights series that I have read and I’ve enjoyed them both. Chuck Swindoll has an engaging and easy to read writing style while at the same time providing biblically sound and helpful explanations of the text.
For my study of Revelation, this book is second to the best. In my study of the various books of the Bible, Swindoll's commentary books are my go-to books. This one was no exception. Highly recommended, if you are interested in an in-depth study of the book of Revelation.
Swindoll writes this book in such a way you can understand it. In addition to that he includes suggestions on how to apply it to your life. It's a great book to read if you have problems with symbolism.
