I wasn’t supposed to stop in Fire Ridge. My rust-bucket car broke down. The storm rolled in. And then I walked into his garage.
Torin Blackscale is a dragon who fixes engines like they’re made of spun sugar—big, scarred, and grumpy enough to scare most people away. Not me. I should be running from his quiet intensity, from the way his golden eyes watch me like I’m already his. But for the first time in my life…I feel safe.
I’ve spent years running from my old pack. They want control. They want obedience. And now they want me back.
They don’t care that my heart belongs to him. They don’t care that I’m carrying a dragon’s baby.
But Torin? He’s a dragon. And dragons protect what’s theirs.
The Mechanic’s Runaway Omega is a sticky sweet and steamy M/M mpreg shifter romance featuring a sunshine wolf omega on the run, a scarred grumpy dragon alpha with a soft heart, fated mates, knotting, found family, and a town that always chooses love over fear. High heat, warm feels, and a guaranteed HEA.
I had wondered after the first book when their were strange inconsistencies and repetitions, but this book has terrible editing and I makes me wonder if the author even really read it. So many inconsistencies like the timing of the wolves showing up and the number of dragons. There’s also a number of identical phrases repeated by characters throughout the book. Chapters are disconnected from one another so they often repeat or change things that just happened. I would venture to say that at minimum this was never re-read and edited at all. At worst it is not human written. Disappointing
I kind of reallyyy loved this one! I died over how Luca was running from his pack and how he just wanted to be free to make his own choices and how his pack was trying to steal them all from him. I loved how Torin immediately recognized him as his mate, but didn't think he deserved to be happy because he couldn't save his sister ten years ago, and Luca deserved someone who could be gentle with him. I loved how the two of them spent time together and how Torin was teaching him mechanic skills and how Torin learned he could be gentle and how Luca chose to fight to be with him. I liked how his pack learned their lesson from him and how they're going to try to be better. This was so cute and I loved how the point of the story was about being gentle and being free to choose.
The almost exact same story with minor changes, inconsistencies and once again 1 step forward 10 steps back to repeat all plot developments. Rating this lower than book 1 bc again it’s basically the same story with zero improvements in plot holes and plot repeating almost verbatim like any previous developments didn’t happen. There’s potential underneath but someone please reread this at least once before publishing or don’t have computers try to write books.
started out ok, but then...WHAT is with the repetitive dialog!? This book had me thinking I accidentally scrolled back on my kindle because new chapters would start with the MCs rehashing the same conversations they JUST had. The number of "I thought these hands..." and "something or other take what's mine" and "you're ours now"...it's a pretty quick read, which makes the repetition even more glaringly obvious.
This series is great can't wait for more books!!!! The characters are great hot sexy alphas with their sweet omega & of course their babies I want more more more Thank you - Lori
💛mm 💛mates 💛found family 💛touch him and die 💛mpreg 💛mechaninc mc 💛mc on the run
Writing was repetitive, contradictory, and at times just didn't make sense. Like there was a mention of omv and that the wolf shifter was an omega, and then the dragon shifter asked him what that means. Soooo what is he? Alpha? Beta? But then it's never mentioned again.
