Ashford and the EMT!!

I’m not usually a “holiday” reader, yet I found this exceptional, entertaining, and heart-warming. Jude Ashford is CEO at Ashford’s department store that is the epitome of retail and Christmas. Angelica lost both parents early, was raised by her grandmother, and they went to Ashford’s once a year - just to look.

When Jude has a panic attack, misdiagnosed as a heart attack, it is Angelica who is there to care for him. They went to the same high school, but he was a popular kid, and she was a science introvert.

Both in need of holiday dates, they come up with a bargain. Date for date. Jude is cynical, and Angelica sees the best in everything. It is an amazing journey for these two. Be prepared for an escalator trick, a tattoo, winter, ice skating, hockey, drive in movies, along with making amends and showing compassion. An absolute delight.

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

If you’re looking for a book to get you in the holiday spirit then Elfish is the book you need.
We meet Jude Ashford, he is a man who is the modern day grinch, Even though he owns the best store in Ashford’s, he has everything he could need but when it comes to his heart it has been hurt to many times for him to care that is until he meets Angelica Winter.
Angelica is a woman with the biggest heart, when it comes to friends and family she is always involved with everything that will make everyone happy but what she needs is for someone to make her happy and when she meets Jude she knows that their is something about the man that could do just that but she has to make him see that he can be that man.
Jude & Angelica are amazing together even if it takes them some time to realize it but when you see it, it will leave you smiling right along with them.

5 Star Review ELF-ish (Holiday Hotties #4) by L.B. Dunbar

What’s better than a story set around the holidays? In my opinion, nothing, it’s a magical time of the year and when it’s written by the L.B. Dunbar it’s a win/win for me.

This is billionaire Jude Ashford and EMT Angelica Winter’s story and it was well written and entertaining.

I enjoy her style of writing, her characters are human, often flawed and so easy to relate to. Not to mention the character are more mature which you don’t always find.

He is such a grinch but when Angelica saves his life, she brings much needed sunshine into his world.

What follows is a story of self discovery, of finding love when you least expect it and of hope.

From the first chapter to the last chapter I was cheering these two on to their happily ever after.

This book was pure Christmas magic from start to finish! 🎄✨

L.B. Dunbar gave us the perfect blend of fake dating, grumpy-meets-sunshine, and just the right touch of holiday spice. Jude might start out as the grinch of the story, but watching him soften and fall for Angelica was everything. Their chemistry jumps off the page, and the emotional depth made this more than just a fluffy holiday read — it’s heartfelt, funny, and full of redemption and love.

Angelica was such a strong, lovable heroine — she brought light into every scene. And the cozy holiday setting made me want to curl up with hot cocoa and reread it all over again.

If you love festive romances with heart, heat, and humor, Elf-ish absolutely delivers. L.B. Dunbar captured the spirit of Christmas and wrapped it in a story that’s both swoony and feel-good.

Elf-ish is a sweet, cozy, and slightly spicy holiday romance that puts a fresh twist on the classic Scrooge storyline. The MMC is a man who’s closed off, guarded, and very much not in the Christmas spirit. And the FMC IS bright, warm, thoughtful, and armed with enough holiday cheer to melt even the iciest exterior. Think grumpy x sunshine except the grump is really a cinnamon roll at heart.

The chemistry is spicy, and the story blends emotional vulnerability with festive charm. It gives you heartfelt moments, surprising depth, and the kind of banter that feels both flirty and meaningful. By the end, the hero’s transformation feels earned and satisfying.

It’s a quick read, comforting, and the kind of holiday romance you can curl up with on a snowy day and finish in one sitting.

Thank you to L.B. Dunbar and Hambright PR for this eARC!

Drawing from the Christmas classic “A Christmas Carol”, the author fashions this classic into her own by having a paramedic female family driven, community giving firefighter paired with an aloof businessman.

On paper, their personalities don’t mesh.

Their relationship develops over a relatively short period but with aww moments.

Then there’s his fascination with the one freckle of hers. Sometimes an author spends an inordinate amount of time focusing on a physical feature. It can be tiresome. However, in the hands of a deft writer who knows just where to timely make the reference, it works.

And the best part ? If you’re an avid fan of the author you’ll be treated to glimpses of main characters from her other series.

A perfect pick me up read for the holiday season.

ELF-ish is EMT Angelica Winter and billionaire Jude Ashford’s holiday romance. It’s book four in the Holiday Hotties Series and it’s an entertaining, magical read that movies are made from.
When Angelica saved Jude’s life she had no idea how her life would change. They say opposites attract but could this ray of sunshine bring some holiday cheer into the grumpy, grinch’s life……
Finding love when you least expected it has this couple embarking on a journey that has them searching their souls. I love Christmas and this magical and witty read transported me straight into the holiday season.

would give a solid 2.5 stars. Classic plot of grumpy rich man meets christmas enthused and saint of a girlypop. Just simply didn’t love their dialogue.

This was cheeky, festive, and a deliciously slow melt. Full of holiday banter, cozy vibes, and just the right amount of sass. This one felt like a warm Christmas movie but with better flirting.
