You always did look beautiful in fire
This book will have you feeling like I don't know what I'm reading but I'mma hunker down and figure it out.
We have 3 major players:
•Rome (The King)
•Kaelix (The Queen)
•Nyx (The Soldier)
with 3 villains who ebb and flow throughout the story. Pushing our protagonists each step.
🔷️This is a Paranormal Urban Romance written in lyrical prose. The action is spoken through extended metaphors, symbolism, allusion. I kept in mind lyrical inspo from Frank Ocean in my mind to understand the read:

What's a king to a god?
What's a god to a non-believer?
Who don't believe in anything?"

The battle for a city named Redrum and the author does a great job of leaving readers hanging on the edge of the seat to figure out who will win and for what reason

Loyalty!
When I started reading this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. This book was well written, flowed well and kept my attention. In a city filled with chaos, the reign for power was strong. Redrum was split between Rome and Nyx, who wanted the city to survive, but Dante and Lira wanted to control it and in the middle was the loyal soldier, Kaelyx. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
When I started reading this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. This book was well written, flowed well and kept my attention.
