Great sequel to the Six-Alarm Series...Jamie and his wife, Erica, have made a lot of progress in their marriage. With the help of BDSM, their communication is much better, and both Jamie and Erica find what really meets their needs. Then Erica finds out she is pregnant. Erica is so afraid that they won't be able to continue what they have been doing. In her first trimester they find that she has a hematoma which could be detrimental to the baby if they continue their lifestyle. Jamie is determined to find out what they need to do. Luckily their physician is a Domme and she is able to talk with Jamie and steer him in another aspect of BDSM...Service. When he has Erica research it and how she wants to approach it, their love for each other and their baby couldn't get any stronger. This is a beautiful story of two people who had a rough start to their marriage 5 years ago, almost ending up in divorce. The earthquake changed everything when Jamie almost lost them all. BDSM has been Jamie's world before Erica and now he is back to the man he was with the woman he loves.

Jamie and Erica have climbed alot of really rocky hills, but somehow they've topped them all in a smokin' hot way.
Handle with Care gives us a look at Jamie and Erica's life after they decided that their relationship was worth fighting for.
Juggling jobs, a house, a 4 year old little girl, an impending addition to the family and keeping things hot in the bedroom are just a few of the problems that the couple deal with.
Not only is Handle With Care a smoking hot romance, it's also a lesson in how open, honest feelings and thoughts should be shared.
I was a little disappointed to not learn what the addition to the family is, but I'm sure Kristine will let us know in her own time.
Waiting for more

I enjoyed this Novella, I thought it was important in learning more about Erica and Jamie's relationship and what their needs are and where their future is headed. I love all the characters in the six alarm sexy books but Jamie boy he's sexy, muscled and a hero in every sense of the word. Erica, I love her need to be in charge but also her need to serve Jamie and love how Kristine writes their learning each other again, their being close and being what each other needs both physically and mentally. These characters go through ups and downs throughout this series but love their reconnection and their deep love for each other in this book. 4.5 to 5 stars!!!! I cannot wait for the next book in this series which is Lover on Top with Chad. Cannot wait!!!!

More Jamie and Erica

This was a good follow up with Jamie and Erica. They have to navigate their burgeoning bdsm relationship when they discover sex is off the table for the time being.

This is a story of two people who had problems at the start of their marriage, almost ending up in divorce. An earthquake changed everything when Jamie almost lost everything. The book is all about the life style they choose to live, BDSM and how they incorporate it into their lives. I know nothing of the lifestyle but the characters are written so well, you can feel the love they have for one-an-other. The communication between them is also well written. I would like to read some more from this author.

Handle with Care (Six Alarm Sexy #2.5) by Kristine Cayne
3.5 stars
M/F Romance
Triggers: High risk pregnancy, M/s dynamic, 24/7 arrangement
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

This is another story regarding Jamie and Rickie. They find out they are expecting a baby, but this time around, Jamie is here and wanting to be an equal partner throughout. However, unforeseen conditions create problems for the newly budding BDSM relationship that Jamie and Erica find themselves loving.

This was just an OK novella for me. It was not as hot, and more about the development of a different type of BDSM relationship. Although I did enjoy this novella, I don't know if it was warranted a story of their own. Nothing was really resolved, we only learned that this was something they were going to try.

I do hope that more stories will answer some of the unanswered questions left after reading this novella.

An excellent addition to the Six-Alarm Sexy series, and one that furthers the story of Jamie and Erica as they go through a major challenge to their newly repaired relationship. I really enjoyed the unique plot of this story and getting to spend time with some of the secondary characters again. Although this story certainly has its share of steam, the thing I loved most about it was the emotional connections between the characters. I teared up several times while reading it.

Note: I highly recommend reading Aftershocks and Under His Command prior to reading Handle with Care. While Handle with Care could be read as a stand-alone, you'll get the most emotional bang for your buck if you've read the prior parts of Erica and Jamie's story.

I can't wait for the next book in this series!

First I've read in this series by Kristine Cayne, and I'm very glad she warned against using the Kindle text-to-speech function in the grocery store with this book. WHEW!

I'm new to the BDSM genre, and appreciated the way the story developed, or rather - continued for Jamie and Rickie. I've avoided the genre with concerns the content would not be more than porn on the page, but I've read other Kristine Cayne books, and knew she would not disappoint.

Some (most) of the subject matter was NEW to me, but I appreciate the care this author took explaining so I wasn't left out, but didn't feel like an idiot about some terms those in the 'lifestyle' would take for granted. I look forward to catching up with the other books in the series, I know they will be fun.

This is such a great series - was SO excited that we were getting an update on Jamie and Erica's marriage and BDSM relationship!!!! And once again Kristine Cayne delivers a sexy, HOT, erotic delight!!! Love that she Always does her research and added so much more depth to this relationship than just the usual BDSM actions. That Jamie was "responsible for her pleasure and her well-being And would do - would be - whatever she needed", and proceeds to do just that - make my heart melt.
Fell in love with this entire family all over again! Happy Birthday William!!!! XO
Can't wait for her next book to see how they're all doing.

Great read if...you enjoyed the other books in the series, BDSM, Firefighters, romance, and a HEA.

Side Note: Kristine Cayne is one of my favorite writers! Her characters are so remarkable and real. While this is a novella that goes along with the other two in this set with this couple, the characters have evolved while staying in their true form. The relationship you see between this Dom and Sub are not unhealthy or over romanticized. It's a real relationship with depth and passion and a side most BDSM books don't let you really see. I loved every minute of this and can't wait for more!

I long have been a huge fan of Kristine Cayne and I am always excited when she has a new book published. And as usual she does not disappoint and this sure was a steamy read, I had a hard time putting it down and I read way passed my bedtime.
In order to enjoy this book even more I would suggest that you read Aftershock and Under his Command first, this way you get the full back story of our main characters which will enhance this story. Forget 50 Shades of Gray, this series is one steamy journey.
I can't wait to read the next book by this talented Author.

As Jamie and Erica continue to build their relationship they find out that Erica is expecting. When faced with an almost tragic experience the two expand their relationship to secure and cement the love that was almost lost.

I enjoyed the growth of both Jamie and Erica but feel Jamie was the focal point in this transformation because he is truly learning his wife in the form of his submissive. This was a nice addition to the series.

Great addition to the series.

I loved reconnecting with Jamie and Erika. Their relationship has had its ups and downs but I have loved reading about their challenges.
I also enjoyed how the author took us on a journey of D/s not just a slap and tickle read.
Looking forward to others in this series

Another edition to the six alarm series, one that has been a great read so far in this series. This one take the reader into the lives of Jaime and Erica. Just like the other ones in the series it does share the same heat but also there is more to the story itself.. an exploration of an emotion connection and bond that was unique and interesting.

Overall a great 5 star read.

I am so happy to find a story that explores and explains service. After all this claptrap caused by FSOG it's nice to read a genuine story. A loving and trusting relationship is a truly beautiful thing. Thanks for a great story!

Different,

Interesting story line, about a couple in the BDSM lifestyle. They're learning what they like. Fire play bondage and some spanking. Then the heroine becomes pregnant. There lifestyle changes and how they work it out. Good read.

What can you do when you love someone but haven't shown them the real you, could you lose them again? Are the changes too soon or can they make it work to save a marriage they both want?
Good read, very well written

Too short,

It was nice to see how the relationship was working but it was to short and the was end was to soon it feel like she wrapped everything in the last chapter.
