Selah: Stop and Think

Rate this book
There are times in life when our hearts cry, our worlds spin, we take in what surrounds us and then we try to make sense of it; all the while my spirit speaks and I scribe poetry! It has been my prayer that Selah will be a catalyst for personal growth by inspiring its readers to reflect upon life’s nuances. Selah is more than a book that holds some lady’s poetry and pages for journal entries but also a teaching tool through the incorporation of Biblical Scriptures and a special place for self-reflection. Each stanza will take you on a personal journey and maybe even an emotional roller coaster that drops you off where truth always remains constant…the word of God.

Please know that I appreciate you taking time to Selah with me! Your questions, comments and testimonies are very welcome.

Sherrie Yvette's "Selah: Stop and Think" is a remarkable collection of poems depicting life's experiences and lessons learned. The author does a great job matching scripture to each poem, which enhances the connection to the reader. The addition of a lined pages on which to express thoughts and impressions is a neat touch. I recommend this book to all readers in high school and older.
