Rog gave an autobiographical history of the world cup starting with his first through the current day to prep for soccer coming to America. There were a lot of funny anecdotes from his personal life mixed in with stories of historical footballing figures that paint an unhinged perspective of Jürgen Klinsmann among others (Espresso!). I really enjoyed reading this book, and it took my full attention since I received my pre-order. I definitely got my value from it and will recommend and loan it to others in the build up to the world cup.

This was a really fun read. Now I’m even more stoked for the World Cup.
