MIKE
I don’t believe in romance. I believe in efficiency and problem-solving.
So agreeing to marry a princess I’ve never met isn’t impulsive—it’s practical.
Except Evelyn is nothing like I expect. She’s funny, down-to-earth, and completely unflappable. Gorgeous curves aside, she’s far too calm about marrying a stranger.
I assume she’s adaptable. Tough. Ready for the reality of this marriage.
Turns out, she thinks it’s fake.
By the time the truth comes out, it’s already too late. Because I didn’t marry a princess.
I married a civilian with a sharp wit, zero fear, and no intention of following my rules—and now I want the one woman I was never supposed to keep.

EVELYN
I came to Las Vegas for an immersive murder-mystery game.
So the bridal suite and wedding gown make sense. At first.
My groom, Mike, is charming, intense, and ridiculously handsome. He whisks me to a cute chapel, slips a stunning ring on my finger, and kisses me like he means it.
WOWZA.
Then reality hits.
He thought he was marrying a princess. I thought it was all pretend.
Now I’m legally married to a man who thrives on control, treats emotions like a design flaw, and looks at me like I’m a problem he didn’t plan for—which is wildly inconvenient, because he might be the best decision I’ve ever accidentally made.

So so so so awesome!!!!!
Fate brings 2 women with exactly the same name…..to two brothers who aren’t looking for wives…. But find there soul mates…. This is Mitchell and Evelyn’s story (his brother’s story with the other Evelyn/Evie was in Big, Burly Bodyguard and was equally awesome!)

This book is so stinking sweet!!
I LOVE that Mitchell is AuDHD…. And Kat did such a good job with that😍….he’s sweet, a little insecure, and really SEES Evelyn…. Who has been making her awesome kindergarten teaching ninja self smaller for the wrong men for so long she isn’t sure if she can trust this random miracle🥰🥰🥰

It’s sweet, romantic, unexpected, sexy, heartwarming….. and perfect🤗🤗🤗.

I had “patiently” waited for this book. Not sure how you accidentally marry a billionaire, but here goes the summary of said accidentally marrying a billionaire. So, in Big, Burly Bodyguard, the guy in this book, Mike, asks his brother to pick up his future bride from the airport and bring her to him in Las Vegas. He was going to marry an actual princess to get her out of an arranged marriage in her country. When his brother shows up in Las Vegas with the princess, the brother in this book is already married. Oh yeah, you read that right. He had already married Evelyn Barlow, yeah same name, different woman….I couldn’t make this up…but Kat Baxter could, lol. So funny. You can see why I couldn’t wait to read this book. And the Evelyn Barlow that he married thinks it’s fake, and all a part of an elaborate murder mystery game her bestie got for her…she even thought the prenup she signed was fake. It was so funny, and she in her sweet innocence is totally adorable. She’s a kindergarten teacher that’s like sunshine and rainbows, probably throw in some unicorns too.

Safe read, with one of my favorite couples. Loved seeing his brother and his princess from the first book. And her bestie cracked me up, pretty sure she has a book too that I definitely need to read. Great and funny storyline that put me right in my happy place. If ya’ll kept up with this storyline, and laughed like I did, this book is for you. I absolutely adored these two, they are one of my favorite couples I have ever read. And I don’t know about you, but I definitely need sunshine and rainbows in my life. And a mushy gushy epilogue that gave me all the feels, never thought crayons were romantic, but here we are, and a hea.

Life after an accidental wedding starts with the chaos of this unconventional situation and messy, honest feelings.
I like how in this story the MCs get to become married for real.

I've been so excited for Mike and Evelyn's story since I finished Mitchell's. I needed more information and boy did I not expect this. I loved it so much though. I laughed so much. I swooned for Mike (which not gonna lie.. did not expect to do as much as I did). I wanted to jump into the pages and give Evelyn a high five and then share some wine. Simply put, Kat Baxter is amazing!

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Mike and Evelyn met when they get to Vegas, he thinks he's marrying a Princess while she thinks she's in an immersive murder mystery. Evelyn's best friend Finely Curve Ball gives her a trip to Vegas. When Evelyn arrives in Vegas she gets to the hotel and they whisk her away to the bridal suite where she's told to pick out her gown. Mike arrives and goes to the hotel to get Princess Evelyn but when he sees Evelyn he's blown away. Mike takes Evelyn to the chapel and marries her. Mike promised his friends Harrison and Birdie Crawford Lone Star Husband he would do them a favor and marry Princess Evelyn. When Mike and Evelyn come out of the chapel married his brother Mitchell Big, Burly Bodyguard comes to tell him he can't marry Princess Evelyn he wants to marry her. Mike doesn't understand because he thinks he already married the Princess. Soon Mike finds out he married the wrong person and takes Evelyn back to her hotel to figure things out. Evelyn thinks they are still in character and is trying to figure out the game. Evelyn soon realizes this isn't a game and asks Mike if she can break character. Mike and Evelyn soon realizes the mistake that was made. Mike doesn't want the marriage to end so he tells Evelyn that she signed paperwork and they have to stay married for six months, when he asks her how she feels about living in Austin she lets him know that's where she's living with her ex-boyfriend Kurt. Mike and Evelyn fly back to Austin and he takes her to get her things. Evelyn moves in with Mike and can't believe his penthouse. Mike confesses to Evelyn about his learning disabilities and confesses to her that he wants to keep her as his wife. When Mike's brother Mitchell calls him he confesses to his brother that he's never felt like this with anyone else but Evelyn. Evelyn mets up with Finely and she finds out that she has feelings for Mike and maybe it was fate stepping in to bring them together. When Evelyn falls asleep Mike carries her to his bedroom when she wakes in the middle of the night she's under the covers in her clothes while he lays on top of the covers. Evelyn curls up and falls back asleep. When Evelyn wakes in the morning a cup of coffee is waiting on her, she goes to find Mike making her breakfast. Mike needs to have a conversation with Evelyn that he does have feelings for her and he would always choose her. Evelyn confesses to Mike that she's scared, and that this is too fast. Later that night Evelyn tells Mike she doesn't want to take things slow she wants him. Mike takes Evelyn to bed and makes love to her, she never thought it could be so good. Mike tells Evelyn that he loves her but she thinks he said it because of what just happened. When Evelyn wakes up the next morning she asks Mike about what he said, he tells her it's not how he wanted to confess that he in love with her. Mike wants to amend their prenup, he doesn't want an expiration date. Mike wants a real chance with Evelyn, but she tells him she's in love with him too. Mike and Evelyn decide to stop pretending and be married for real. Six months later, Mike surprises Evelyn with a honeymoon exactly six months and one day from the day they were married when their contract is up. Mike set up bouquets of crayons all over there home and even packed Evelyn's bags. It was hard for Mike to keep a secret of planning their honeymoon from Evelyn because she knows when he's planning something, it's the kindergarten teacher in her. Mike sent Evelyn Six hundred forty two crayons, the complete collection one for everyday they're married. Mike wants to spend the rest of his life proving how much he loves Evelyn. Evelyn tells Mike how much she loves him. Every wrong turn, every ridiculous coincidence it led them here. Neither of them would change a thing.

Accidentally Marrying the Billionaire de Kat Baxter

Argumento:

MIKE

This is awesome. Humour, lust, honesty and thoughtfulness. Trusting your gut, even when you’re scared, being authentic and understanding that you are worthy as you are.

I enjoyed the writing style and am keen to read more of Kat Baxter, bring it!

Excerpts from Accidentally Marrying the Billionaire by Kat Baxter:

“So, as far as our marriage consummation, I’d like you to know that I’d prefer we not use any birth control methods.” Her pretty green eyes bug out, and she chokes... on her own spit. “I beg your pardon," she finally says. “I’m thinking at least four kids, but I’m willing to negotiate.”

“You and I are going to have to have a conversation about boundaries in this marriage.” I lick my lips, everything but my panties, feeling incredibly dry. “What kind of boundaries?” “What I’m allowed and not allowed to do to you, wife.” “What do you want to do to me?” “Right now I want to kiss you.”

Thankfully, I managed to keep some of my thoughts unsaid. Like the ones about wanting to cross all the boundaries that involved her mouth, her being naked, and being completely at my mercy.

"you made her feel boring. Predictable. Like she was taking up too much space in her own life."

"You broke up with me three months ago and asked me to sleep on the couch because you 'needed space to think,'" she says calmly. "You criticized my cooking, my clothes, my lesson plans, and the way I organized the dishwasher. You told me I was predictable and boring, and when I cried, you said I was being dramatic."

"Evelyn." I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "I accidentally married the wrong woman, and it turned out to be the best decision I never made. I'm not exactly eager to fix that mistake."

I may have married her by accident, but I’ll be damned if I let anyone treat her like she’s a mistake.

"You aren’t asking me if I'm going to date other women because you're curious. You’re asking because you're already preparing yourself to be deprioritized."

“I will not date other women. I will not touch another woman. Not while you're wearing my ring. Not while you're living in my home. You are my wife."

"You're not an accidental anything,” he says, voice low. I falter, swallowing thickly. "You keep doing that," he says. "Shrinking yourself. Making yourself smaller so you fit into spaces that were never designed for you."

"You feel so good," he manages, his voice wrecked. "Christ, the sounds you make—"

Because I have the emotional regulation of a golden retriever and the impulse control of a toddler in a candy store.

"What if I scare her?" I finally ask. “Then you scared her by being honest. That's better than losing her by staying quiet."

"I'm scared, Mike. I need you to know that. I'm terrified of wanting something this much, this fast."

"You're staring," she says, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "I'm appreciating." I strip off my own clothes, tossing them over the chair. "There's a difference."

I kiss her, swallowing the words, tasting the truth of them on her lips.

This book takes the wildly fun concept of mistaken identity, crossed wires, and an accidental Vegas marriage and executes it perfectly, largely thanks to its two irresistible main characters. Evelyn’s best friend, Finley, is on a mission to snap Evelyn out of the emotional slump she’s been stuck in since breaking up with her painfully underwhelming ex. Kurt didn’t just break her heart; he chipped away at her confidence, and Evelyn desperately needs a reminder of the joy and spontaneity she once embraced. Finley’s master plan: is to send Evelyn on a weekend to Vegas for a fully immersive murder-mystery experience. Costumes, characters, plot twists—the works. So, when Evelyn arrives and finds herself in the hotel’s bridal suite, only to be collected by a ridiculously handsome stranger and swept off to a chapel to get married, she doesn’t even question it. Obviously, it’s part of the game…right? Except it isn’t. Mike, her unexpected groom, was supposed to marry a different woman, who just happens to share Evelyn’s name. What are the odds? And once the truth comes out, what do you even do with an accidental spouse? What makes this story shine, though, is Evelyn herself. Despite the chaos, she stays calm, kind, and surprisingly funny. She jokes, she adapts, and she makes Mike smile—and chances are, you’ll be smiling nonstop too. Because the more time these two spend together, the clearer it becomes that this might just be the best mistake either of them has ever made. On paper, they couldn’t be more different: a warm, nurturing kindergarten teacher and a brilliant, but reserved tech billionaire. Yet somehow, it feels like they were made for each other. Still, admitting those feelings is terrifying. For Evelyn, it means risking her heart again after her breakup. For Mike, it means trusting emotions he isn’t sure how to navigate, shaped by his ADHD and being on the spectrum. Can he trust what he feels? That’s where Mike’s brother, Mitchell, (and Evelyn’s BFF) steps in with some truly excellent advice (also worth noting: Mitchell is the guy who married the other Evelyn). This is a feel-good romance in the best sense of the word—funny, tender, and full of genuinely lovable characters who absolutely earn their happily-ever-after. The kind of book you finish with a happy sigh… and immediately want to read again.

Evelyn Barlow meets with her bestie, Finley Blake at an Italian restaurant and when dessert hits, so does Finley’s present to ‘an adventure.’ Evelyn isn’t interested, as she isn’t into adventures because she is very regimented due to her ex, Kurt. So, Evelyn decides she will have the ‘adventure’ and goes to Las Vegas. She gets to be a character and regain her confidence in herself, and Finley pays for a bunch of extra stuff. If you have read the previous book, then you know that Mike was supposed to meet and marry Princess Evelyn Barlow, from a small island nation. But, he had to go to Japan for a job last minute, so he gets his brother, Mitchell to pick up the Princess and bring her to Las Vegas. This book is Mike’s pov.

Since Evelyn has the same name as the Princess, when she arrives at the hotel, she is mistaken for the Princess. So they are confused for one another. then she meets Mike and it happens again, all the while she thinks that this is part of the ‘adventure.’ Even them getting married. Mike is realizing that he wants Evelyn for real and for good. Then Mitchell and the Princess show up and things are finally explained. With Evelyn still thinking it is all the plot of the ‘adventure.’ When they find out the truth, he tells her what he wants and she tells him that he is actually what she needs, because as a kindergarten teacher, she needs to move out from Kurt’s place, etc. The book is funny in both the ‘uh-oh’ and the more normal way. Finley’s reaction texts are hilarious as well. I love Finley. Finley’s knows who Mike is. That part is hilarious as well. She is defo a riot. How Mike treats Evelyn is sweet and romantic. Kurt’s reaction is epic and that is when I really fell in love with Mike as he says some really awesome things that I sooo agreed with. The book got even more romantic and steamy after that. I loved it.

This book is part of the multi author Accidentally Marrying series and it’s hilarious! It features Mike Sinclair (older brother to Mitchell from Big Burly Bodyguard) in an outrageous series of events and mistaken identity that will have you laughing out loud at its absurdity while still smiling like a fool at how romantic the pragmatic billionaire with ADHD and on the spectrum who swore he’d never fall in love, could be.

If you haven’t already read Big Burly Bodyguard, you might consider reading it first since they’re interconnected and will definitely add to your enjoyment of this one. You don’t HAVE to, of course, since this one provides enough background information but you’ll enjoy it so much more if you do.

This book was a hoot! It might’ve been a little bit of a slow burn but, somehow, it worked. I wasn’t obsessively checking the time remaining every few minutes, waiting for them to finally make up their minds as to what they wanted to do… the humor and heart (and heat) kept me engaged right up to the very end and I was content to ride it out and let them do their own thing; I seriously LOVED it!!! If you’re looking for a fun, romantic romance, check it out, it’s an amazingly good read. 4.5 stars.

I was so excited to get my hands on Mike and Evelyn's story as soon as I finished his brothers story. This book takes a case of mistaken identity, an immersive murder mystery experience and a trip to Vegas and pops out a marriage in the best way possible.

Evelyn is gifted an immersive murder mystery weekend in Vegas by her best friend to help her get back to herself after Kurt the jerk breaks up with her. Mike is travelling to Vegas to marry, on paper only, Princess Evelyn Barlow as a way to get her out of an arranged marriage. When Evelyn checks into the hotel and they whisk her up to the honeymoon suite, she thinks its all part of the experience. She keeps rolling with the punches until Mikes brother Mitchell shows up with the real Princess Evelyn, after they Mike and Evelyn are already legally married.

I loved that while this was a roller coaster of a way to get married, these two were absolutely perfect for each other. Mike "saw" her in a way that even her ex after 14 months did not see. He understood her and he listened to what she said and what she did not say. Mike asks for 6 months to show Evelyn that they are truly meant to be together, and that man shows up, every single day.

I loved these two and all their quirks so much!!!!

Another fabulous love story with an uber-romantic hero, Mike Sinclaire, and a wounded kindergarten teacher, Evelyn, who's been fed too many lies by her crappy ex-boyfriend. This book is marked with tenderness, humor, and laugh-out-loud moments of connection. Mike is truly a thoughtful billionaire hero who is protective without being an alpha-hole, and Evelyn is a level-headed heroine who rolls with the strange turn of events she finds herself in. A weekend in Vegas to partake in an immersive murder mystery goes all kinds of wrong when she gets mistaken for Mike's fake bride. Their very real, legally-binding marriage and a prenup with an expiration date locks these two into a forced proximity situation where Mike gets to treat her with all the love, care, and devotion she didn't get in her previous relationship.

This novella contains the trademark Kat Baxter humor, and the hero is a swoony, all-green-lights kind of billionaire that we could all wish to accidentally marry! It's a sweet, steamy, and super satisfying read, and earns major bonus points from me for Mike's AuDHD representation. If short, instalove romance with solid humor is your jam, and you only have a couple hours to read, pick this one up.

Brilliant 5 star read from Kat, honestly devoured this so fast as soon as I could because I knew it would be great. It's part of the multi author series Accidentally Marrying and it's great.

If you enjoy
💓 Instalove
💓 Mistaken Identity
💓 Billionaire Romance
💓 Dual POV
💓 Steamy Scenes
💓 Interlinking Characters
💓 Forced Proximity
💓 Marriage of Convenience
💓 HEAs

Then this is for you, because it's got everything above and more. It's a sweet storyline that you'll be engaged with, you'll fall for Mike and Evelyn easily and be rooting for them from the start. Their meet cute is great, and I love how chilled Evelyn is given everything that's thrown at her.

One of the main things that makes this sweeter for me is Kat has linked in Finley from Curve Ball (Austin Armadillo) I love it when we get throw backs to previous characters ❤️
Obviously we've got Mitchell and Evelyn from Big Burly Bodyguard (Lone Star Security series), but if you've read that recently you knew they'd be popping up. I just love when they all interconnect in some way, and Kat is great at doing that.

5 star read loved every minute, can't wait for more.

A fabulous read as billionaire Mike Sinclaire asked his brother Mitchell to guard his fiance Princess Evelyn Barlow from Texas to Las Vegas. Flip the coin another Evelyn Barlow was having an all expense paid trip paid by her best friend from Texas to Las Vegas to a murder mystery weekend. When the second Evelyn arrives, she goes to check in at the hotel. They tell her, that they have been waiting on her taking her to the honeymoon suite, where she finds a number of wedding dresses to choose one from according to the note. Later, the most striking man shows up at the door, Mike that takes her to a wedding chapel, where they were married. Evelyn was assuming this was all fake. Until, Mitchell showed up with the real Princess Evelyn, which he proceeded to marry. Mike made some explanation, when they returned to the honeymoon suite. But with the pre-nup they signed on the way to get married, they must live together for the next six months. Good thing they both live in Austin, Texas, as it was going to prove really interesting. I highly recommend reading.

Their Accidental Forever -
Mike and Evelyn were shocked to discover just after getting married, that they had made a mistake, but after having an open discussion, they agreed to an end date. However Mike realised after spending time with Evelyn, that his feeling for her was real, so he decided to do everything possible to convince her to give their marriage a chance. Evelyn on the other hand was still dealing with the pain from her last and was apprehensive about opening up her heart, but after a conversation with her best friend and Mike, she decided to give their marriage a chance.

Fortunately, spending time together in close proximity and going on date allowed their feelings for each other to grow and by the time the end of their agreement was up, they were on their path to a happily ever after. This is a really fun, enjoyable, quick read with characters who had sizzling chemistry, no drama and an exciting storyline. I will be happy to recommend this book as a perfect read for an easy relaxing night at home.

I always absolutely love picking up a short romance by Kat Baxter. She always manages to accomplish so much story in a short amount of time while still creating chemistry between her characters that’s quick and addicting.

Accidentally Marrying the Billionaire was such a fun, short happenstance story about Evelyn, who Mike mistakes as the princess he made an arranged Vegas wedding with, while Evelyn thinks she’s part of an extravagant role-playing adventure. By the time they realize the truth, their predicament is permanent. It was fun and full of heart. I couldn't help but root for their arrangement to work out and for them to realize that sometimes you just need to have faith even if it lead you somewhere completely unconventional.

I also loved how this story actually intertwined with another series by Kat Baxter, "A Lone Star Security Romance." It was really fun seeing these two side characters briefly featured in that series get their own full story.

If you’re needing a fun, quick, romantic read, checking out this one or honestly any of Kat Baxter's stories would be a great choice.

Wow! Amazing! A MUST read.

I am ashamed at how quickly I read this. I am by no means a writer, but I read a lot and am in awe of those who write for a living. I read this so quickly and it must have taken months to put it together. I loved this and couldn't put it down.

Amazing dialogue with wonderful characters, I have so many highlights in this one. I was swept up in the story development and didn't want it to end. MMC Mike, such a simple name but this man is WAY more. He didn't have to be a billionaire, but it helped to move the narrative and allowed him to get things done without the reader wondering how he could afford to do it. FMC Evelyn, beautiful name. He said ALL the right things at just the right time. She is funny and strong enough to give love a try. Everything moves quickly with no angst or breakup. Great read when you want something quick and uplifting. I highly recommend this one.

**The Right Princess for Him!**

I’m so excited to share my thoughts on “Accidentally Marrying the Billionaire” by Kat Baxter, the second book in the delightful “Accidentally Marrying” series! I’ve been eagerly waiting to dive into the love story of Mike and Evelyn ever since that surprising twist in Mike’s brother’s book.

Evelyn heads to Vegas for a unique themed trip, where everything is staged, and she’s just meant to relax, go with the flow, and have some fun. At the same time, Mike is in Vegas for a very different reason–to marry a princess and help her escape an arranged marriage. But after the wedding, when Mitchell shows up, Mike realizes he’s married the wrong Evelyn!

As they spend more time together over the next few months, the lines between what’s fake and what’s real start to blur. Their connection deepens, and they can no longer deny their feelings. Eventually, they give in to their true emotions, and it’s just a wonderful journey as they find their HEA!

She's prepared to solve a fake crime
not to enjoy a fake husband.
Then she remembers it's all about
not being careful or safe or predictable
for a few days.
So... chin up, big girl panties up
and go with the flow.

To tell you the truth,
the husband's an eye candy,
like distractingly handsome.
And thoughtful
and kind
and sweet
and hot
and he knows his way around
a woman's body.
Ohhh, and alphabetically organized!!!

He doesn't believe in marriage.
He doesn't do feelings.
He understands contracts and practical solutions,
enter the marriage of convenience.
Why does he feel the vows landing deep in his soul?
Why words are spilling out of his mouth
about the future and the chance he wants with her?
How is it right to be with the wrong person?

The most interesting question:
"Having a religious experience on his thighs?"

Like the girls proposed:
To intentional happiness 🥂.

This was one of those reads that turns an otherwise dreary day into a brighter one. I truly enjoyed every second of reading this book.

Though their beginning may have been unconventional and a case of mistaken identity, it was fate that came calling; Mike in an arranged marriage to a princess in order to pay back a favor to a friend, only he marries the wrong Evelyn, and Evelyn sent on a murder/mystery weekend event by her bff, thinking everything, down to the impromptu wedding to Mike, is all part of the immersive experience. Their beginning was by act of mistake, but it was the best thing that ever happened to either of them.

I so enjoyed the journey to their HEA, right alongside Mike and Evelyn. Their story was a thing of beauty, fleshed out and written so perfectly. I'm still smiling as I think of scenes in the book while writing this. I can't express enough how much everyone needs to read this book!

A case of mistaken identity and now an official marriage and prenup in Vegas is this story’s trope. This author is one of my go to authors for the fun, romantic, HEA reads she rights. We meet Evelyn who is in Vegas for a murder mystery masquerade and who is suddenly taken up to the Bridal Suite. Thinking it is part of the masquerade, she thinks nothing of when she meets Mike and they go to the Vegas Chapel to get married. To her, all the things are props for the masquerade. After they are married, Evelyn and Mike meet his brother, Mitchell, who married the correct princess that Mike was supposed to marry. Loved this story where both characters rolled with the punches and discovered that their relationship may lead to a HEA.

This was a wonderful romance filled with coincidences and twists that end in a fab HEA. Mike thought he was marrying Princess Evelyn, but he ends up marrying kindergarten teacher, Evelyn. She thought she was on a murder mystery getaway weekend so she was more than ready to 'go with the flow'. Of course, finding her actually married to Mike, and their resulting hot chemistry, had me fully hooked, first page to last. I loved their banter, connection, his neurodivergent mind and her kindness. Of course, there is a little ex drama for her but she was chef's kiss in her dealing with Kurt. Expect to giggle away when you dive into this one, feel the heat of the spice, and swoon over Mike's romantic gestures. This is the first of this multi-author series that I've read but it won't be the last. Loved it!

I’ve been looking forward to Mike and Evelyn’s story since his brother Mitchell’s book, and it was so worth the wait. I adored this book! The representation of AuADHD was beautifully written, and the fact that Evelyn was so accepting of it all. Mike was so incredibly emotionally mature as well, and the fact he listened and understood her so well without her having to say anything made him the perfect book boyfriend. He built her up after she’d been broken down in such a beautiful way. Their communication was also top notch, more couples should have that! And the brothers, Mike and Mitchell? Adored their relationship! No cheating or OWD drama, slight OMD but not overly, condom use, dual POV, HEA and the perfect epilogue 6 months in the future. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this author!

When her friend surprises her with a trip to Vegas for a mystery weekend Evelyn plans to go with the flow and have fun. That is why she believes her wedding to Mike isn’t real however she soon realizes that even though she might be the wrong bride he might just be the perfect groom.

To help a friend Mike has agreed to a temporary marriage to a woman he hasn’t met. He believes that Evelyn is that woman and doesn’t realize until afterwards that she isn’t but now that she is his wife his main priority is to show her that there is nothing temporary about their feelings for each other or their marriage.

Even after everything she went through with her ex, Evelyn is fun and the interactions between them are humorous as Mike realizes that when it comes to Evelyn there is so much more to life than work.

4.5 stars from me. Evelyn Barlow, a cautious kindergarten teacher still healing from a controlling ex, gets an unexpected “adventure” gift from her hilarious best friend Finley: a lavish Vegas trip. Reluctant but curious, she goes—and Finley secretly upgrades everything.
Told from the POV of Mike, a busy businessman whose carefully arranged plans go hilariously sideways thanks to a case of mistaken identity.
What follows is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy packed with classic mix-ups, Finley’s priceless text reactions, sweet and swoony moments, and plenty of steam as two people unexpectedly find exactly what they need.
Finley steals every scene she’s in, Mike is genuinely charming, and the whole thing is a fun, feel-good escape.
Loved it!.
