Rate this book
Migraines are not just headaches — they are a signal from the brain that energy is running out. In How to Master Migraine , neuroscientist and former chronic migraine sufferer Dr. Elena Gross, PhD, presents a radical new way of understanding and treating this debilitating through the lens of metabolism.

Drawing on her PhD research, pioneering clinical trials, and personal journey, Dr. Gross reveals how mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and unstable blood sugar contribute to attacks. Most importantly, she shares how ketosis — the body’s ancient energy system — and other metabolic interventions can provide lasting relief.

Accessible, empowering, and deeply informed, it reframes the migraine brain not as broken but as energy-starved and healable — offering solutions and practical strategies for both patients and practitioners.

Wasted money on another book

It talks about the same things as every other health book out there for every other common person who wants to get healthy. Lots of tests recommendations and supplements. Only difference is she talks about her specific brain supplement for ketones. Nothing earth shattering for migraines, keto and carnivore diet help but they have no eliminated my migraines. Save your money just eat carnivore and look elsewhere for solutions.

Dr. Gross’s approach to migraine—as a messenger rather than a mistake- offers a refreshing and thought-provoking perspective. Instead of framing migraine as an enemy to fight, „How to Master Migraine“ encourages readers to understand it as meaningful feedback from the body. This shift in mindset can be empowering for migraine sufferers, making the condition feel less arbitrary and more manageable.

The book not only presents a compelling theory but also equips readers with practical, individualized strategies for navigating migraine in daily life. Its combination of science, clarity, and actionable advice makes it a valuable resource.

„How to Master Migraine“ is a well-written, inspiring, and accessible book that has the potential to improve the lives of many who suffer from this debilitating condition. Even beyond migraine, it offers broader insights that are relevant for anyone interested in a more mindful and health-conscious lifestyle.
