She was a blind curve I never saw coming, but one that I would never regret taking.
Life has thrown so many obstacles in Swerve’s way. He survives becoming a paraplegic, but the journey to the other side almost kills him. He fights his demons and finds a way to carve out a life, but he isn’t truly happy until the day the Horsemen finally discover a way for him to become a member. That is the best day of his life.
However, despite that, there’s one more thing Swerve dreams of, but he believes it’ll be more unlikely than him becoming a Horseman. He has his club, his friends, and challenging work, but no special someone to share it with. He wants a family of his own. What woman would want to tie herself to a cripple in a wheelchair?
A chance meeting with a beautiful woman on the street evolves into her becoming his right hand at one of the club’s businesses. Swerve’s instantly tempted by her, but he’s determined not to get his heart involved. A woman like Electra can have any man she wants. She’ll never give him the time of day.
Electra comes to work for the Horsemen of Wrath MC with a purpose. One that she doesn’t share with the club. She never expects to meet Swerve. There’s something about him that draws her in, but she can’t afford to be distracted. She’s here seeking vengeance. Craving Swerve isn’t part of the plan.
Sometimes, fate has plans for us that we never hope for. The temptation to be together is too much for Swerve and Electra. Even betrayal, pain, secrets, and the dark underworld of the black market won’t destroy what is growing between them. In the end, Swerve risks everything to have a life together. Electra turns her back on her old life to forge a new one with Swerve.
For Swerve and Electra, they discover that happiness and love can be found around blind curves. You never know where a ride might take you.
1.5* Sorry but that was boring, & I was skipping pages. At 50% they’ve barely talked to each other and had one kiss! Then at 67% they’re in love!
What has happened with this author? I’ve not enjoyed the last few books but I live in hope that they’ll get better. Apart from a HUGE amount of mistakes, spelling and the plot, I didn’t believe in their love at all. I know with some of this authors books it’s s*x, s*x and more s*x and instant love, but this took so long to get going I was skipping pages. While it was nice to catch up with the other members I knew more about them then I did the two mc’s.
When Diablo asks Swerve if he can manage Wrath’s Rescue as he’s the only member not running anything, they come to an agreement that he’ll oversee it with a manager. As he works as well. After endless applicants Electra is interviewed and taken on. Swerve really likes her so is really horrid during the interview, and barely speaks to her at all, as he’s so insecure. For some bizarre reason that I can’t figure out, Electra really really likes him. Even though he’s rude to her but friendly to everyone else. 🙄🙄🙄 They barely speak to each other as Swerve has decided that Electra won’t want to be with him, as he’s in a wheelchair. So he’s barely civil to her up to 50% when her big secret (😂) is finally revealed (It was so obvious what it was.) and they have their first kiss, it still took to 67% before they finally get together. 🥱 Electra of course is in danger but that’s over so fast if you blink you’ll miss it.
Then there’s the mistakes. 🔵 As I said ⬆️ I didn’t believe in their ‘love’, at all! I’m still in shock that it took 67% for them to get together! 🔵 Electra at one point is injured and gets a severe infection but it’s not mentioned again and it’s fine when they’re having endless s*x with her on top. Which she wouldn’t be able to do with her injury! 🙈🙄 🔵 Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Wrath’s rescue in previous books a car garage and breakdown recovery? In this one it’s a rescue for abused women. 🔵 Loads of spelling mistakes.
I could go in but I won’t. I’ve recently re-read Bull’s Duchess and I still love it. I’m so disappointed by this one. Sorry.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading books by Ciara St. James. I find that this is because she pulls other issues into her books and creates some that I haven't seen before. I haven't read an MC book that I can remember where they have represented people who do have disabilities like paraplegia but are still able to be part of the club.
We've met Swerve in the previous book Scorpion's Desert Blossom. He's Scorpion's best friend who was unfortunately in an accident when they were younger and finds himself paralyzed from the waist down. With the help of Paige (Scorpion's old lady) he is able to realize his dream to become part of the Horsemen of Wrath MC despite what people would consider a deficit. With the help of his friends and his service dog Dozer, he's able to have a more fulfilling life than before.
But seeing his two friends fall in love makes him realize he wants a deeper connection but is scared because of people only wanting to get with him due to his disability.
That is until Electra walks into his life. It's instant attraction that he never thought he would be able to experience. And boy does Electra give him a run for his money.
Will the discovery of Electra's past ruin them before they can start? Or will this discovery be a blessing in disguise?
Also loved the fact that we got more of Scorpion and Paige (because I can't help but love getting more of my namesake)!
Cannot wait to see what comes next in the Horsemen of Wrath MC!
Romances with a main character having a disability, an injury, a chronic illness is my catnip. I love the proof that love is blind, that love is worth the risk. Swerve was put into a wheelchair years ago, just as he was about to be a full member of the Horsemen MC. He has made peace with it, especially after his best friend's woman found a way for him to ride again and through that, a full member of the club. The only black spot on his life is the loneliness, the possibility that he might never find his one. Electra comes into his life and he takes notice. He doesn't make a move figuring she wouldn't go for a man with wheels and limitations. Things take a turn and trouble comes calling, can he take his chance on love? Oh my goodness, I don't know if I can adequately describe how much I loved Swerve, how ecstatic I was that we got his book soooo quickly. Absolutely loved Electra, she was a boss and her love for Swerve was a thing of beauty! Glorious!
Book three in the Horsemen of Wrath MC series. This one’s a good one. Swerves lost the movement of his legs for some time now. He’s trying to live his life as normal as he can. Not trying hard to look for love till he meets Electra. He was happy becoming a club brother but now he wants more. Who would want him half a man. Electra needs answers. She’s trying to find the person who hurt her love one. She goes undercover in the club. When her identity is revealed, her life is in danger. Now that he found his girl. Swerves will stop at nothing to protect his girl and his brothers. Electra is no damsel in distress. She’s all bad a$$. He can protect herself and more. I love how Mrs St James creates her women. Beautiful and deadly best combination ever.
This book takes a deep dive into the life and hardships of a man that means everything to his club. Swerve is a complex alpha and shares his life with his dog Dozer. When he meets a challenge, his is all in. St. James has woven a beautiful tale that showcases her writing that has moved to a higher skill level in this genre. A five star must read. highly recommend. Let's not forget the laughs and the cameo of Bert! That says it all. Right. Return characters bring depth and are smarter used to propel storyline. Go for it and enjoy the ride. Peace out.
Swerve has had a hard life but has accepted that he can do anything he sets his mind to. When he finally becomes a member his life is all the better. A woman always changes things for the better but Swerve doubts himself. Electra has an agenda and soon finds out that it was not the one she set put to do. And of course in comes crazy in the form of another woman to shake things up. His story is one of determination, strength and love. Always with a HEA and some good natured teasing among the single guys.
With this one I was happy to see Swerve find his woman, he's been through so much he deserves to find happiness. Although I wasn't sure it was going to happen, it took half the book before anything happened between him and Electra. And of course Swerve wouldn't pick an easy woman, there would be complications and that is what Electra brought in spades. I like how they worked things out between the two of them and the club. It was nice to see how things ended, all the threats gone and everyone back to living their lives happy and carefree, or at least as carefree as this crew can get.
Swerve’s Blind Curve is book 3 in the Horsemen Wrath MC series wonderfully written by the amazing author Ciara St.James. I was looking forward to Thiago’s story and the author didn’t disappoint. This is Santiago “Swerve “ and Electra’s awesome story. The plot was well written and with such understanding of how a person with disabilities could feel. New and old characters, humor, lot of action, twist and turns, secrets, enemies, brotherhood, romance and so much more. A must read for any fan of this author writing style. No Spoilers! Go buy it, you’ll not be disappointed.
This is Swerve and Electra’s story. Swerve had been paralyzed from the waist down since he was hit by a car many years ago. Electra’s is an FBI agent sent in undercover to see if the Horsemen are dirty. She worked in the Horsemen’s place for abused women and children, where she met Swerve. They fell in love but had problems as she was FBI and the Horsemen had grey areas to their club. They get their HEA but it took getting rid of Electra’s enemies to get there.
I love that Swerve found his old lady! Electra is a strong kick a*s woman with an important job that could cause Swerve and her problems with their HEA. Electra was able to show Swerve that she loved him no matter what his disabilities were. The club showed their support even with Electras' job and welcomed her. Ciara has such a way of telling a story that just makes you fall in love with the book.
So glad to get Swerve’s story! I was so invested in this character after he was introduced in the last Horseman of Wrath book! Ciara St James did an awesome job making us feel everything that he felt & the combustive chemistry between Swerve & his lady was 🔥🔥!! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!!
Swerve's love life was stuck in neutral, but Electra shifted gears and put his heart in high gear! As a paraplegic, Swerve thought love was a road he'd never travel, but Electra proved him wrong. She was the spark that ignited a fire within him, and soon he was revving his engines, ready to take on the world with her by his side. Will he finally get the HEA he deserves?
Different in a lot of ways but a fabulous read. Great story of these two and what they faced and became who they are. Sweet sexy love story. Love Dozer!!
So happy Swerve found his old lady. Electra is perfect for him. He needed a strong woman.Their connection is amazing and I love the story. I enjoyed the mystery. It is one of the few books I’ve read that had me guessing who was behind the mystery.
The book itself was good and a great read the only thing I thought negatively about it was that we didn't get to see if that 10% chance for them to conceive happened.
Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their families and friends 🧡 and Ciara St James is an amazing writer ❤️
I loved this story! I think this is gonna be one of my favorite! Xxx
I loved the way his challenges became her challenges as well and of course I loved that she was ready to give a,beat down on anyone messing with her man!
Electra is looking for job, found one with the Horsemen. Swerve has seen Electra and he is very interested in her. Without giving anything away, this is a must read.
How wonderful, Wrath has overcome so much he absolutely deserves his chance of a HEA. He was brave enough to put himself out there and try to create his family.
I happy to see him get what he wanted. He had been through so much in the fast 14yi. Can not wait to see what happens with the rest of the Horse.an of Wrath MC
Best.lovestory.ever! Swerve is a fabulous character any sane female could love. Hunky, caring, loyal, kind and a terrific friend. So, so happy this man found his HEA.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Neither Swerve nor Electra were ready for the other, but fate has a way of making people do what fate wants them to do. Swerve is a paraplegic and Electra is an FBI agent who is in protection from a pervious case. They are drawn together and are soon finding out each others secrets and work together to keep her and the MC safe. The MC together with their friends from other MCs and factions of the Law, work together take down traffickers of both the flesh and organs, and will also keep Electra safe at the same time. Swerve and Electra form a strong bond and their feelings turn into love.
