A Boleyn Affair is NOT just another Tudor novel, not by long shot. If you've ever been on Team Boleyn, you must read this one. We see Anne Boleyn through the eyes of Sir William Brereton, not the usual cast of characters of Henry VIII's court. This is not just Anne's story but also William's, to the very end.

"William had heard about George's sister. Too French, they said. Too educated. Too frank. She had opinions on theology, policy, and art. subjects women were supposed to ornament rather than understand."

This author presents a different Anne Boleyn, not driven by religious fervor, power, or lust for the king. Anne had been raised in Queen Claude's court, where well-educated women were respected and intelligence admired. Once Henry sets his sights on her, she is fighting for survival. This novel is well written, with a fresh perspective on Anne Boleyn, less lust and more political intrigue. I highly recommend The Boleyn Affair, and I hope the author writes more Tudor fiction. I'm a fan.

Daring, Ambitions, & Betrayal

A Boylen Affair draws you straight into Henry VIII’s unpredictable court, where loyalties shift fast and a single rumor can alter a life. The novel focuses on William Brereton, who becomes entangled in Anne Boleyn’s political rise and a love that can never be.

The authors give Anne a vivid, human voice—ambitious, aware of every risk, and determined to survive the fire she’s stepped into. Her connection with William feels dangerous, magnetic, and heartbreakingly doomed.

As Thomas Cromwell gains power, the tension grows, making the story both gripping and tragic. This book captures court politics, ambition, and emotional depth with a smooth, engaging pace.

A compelling read for anyone who loves Tudor fiction and stories of love, danger, and destiny.

The book held my attention because so many conversations that were historically attributed between certain people. She used as conversations between the Queen and William. I kept reading to see if they were maybe going to poison the king. She brought Ann alive so differently than I ever would imagine her. She was so cold and calculating! Made for interesting reading!

Anne Boleyn revisited

A well written different viewpoint of a woman trapped by circumstances she purposely helped manufacture. Beware of what you wish for.
