Winter Key Christmas #1

All I Want For Christmas

Rate this book
Tinsel Evergreen didn’t get a say in her future. As the Grand Elf’s daughter, she was signed, sealed, and delivered to the next Santa before she hit kindergarten…destined for sugar cookies, sleigh rides, and a picture-perfect happily-ever-after she never asked for. But two weeks before the holiday that defines her family, Tinsel steals a little magic and runs. She lands in Winter Key, Florida—a fishing village trying to reinvent itself with twinkle lights and tacky holiday contests—and discovers freedom for the first time. No expectations. No fiancé. Just sunshine, salt air, and the terrifying possibility of figuring out what she actually wants.

Mason Kraus isn’t looking for complications. His family’s bait shop is shuttered, his father’s legacy weighs heavy on his shoulders, and he’s barely holding his sister’s bar afloat. Letting a runaway stranger crash in his spare room is the last thing he needs, but when a booking mishap leaves Tinsel with nowhere to stay, she ends up in his spare bedroom. Living under the same roof is supposed to be temporary. Instead, it feels inevitable. One look across the kitchen counter, one brush of his hand, one late-night conversation on the dock—and suddenly, the line between roommates and something more is impossible to hold. But Tinsel can’t hide forever. Her future is waiting at the North Pole. And Mason knows better than to believe in miracles. Still… when the one person you weren’t supposed to fall for becomes the only one you can’t walk away from, rules—and even Christmas—start to feel negotiable.

“Oh, my reindeer,”

All I Want for Christmas was super duper cute. I loved the premise of an arranged marriage between an elf and the next in line to become Santa, and said elf wanting to run away from the weight of that Christmas expectation. Running from the North Pole to the Florida Keys is kind of hilarious on its own. Falling in love with a super sweet beachy type while she’s there, adorable. While I think Tinsel’s story was sweet and fun and I enjoyed her with Mason and the friendship she made with his sister, Candace, I also feel like the actual plot was a better idea than the actual execution of it. I also ended up feeling bad for Chris, future Santa. Overall I think this will be good read for people who like the quirky Hallmark holiday movies where the plot is fun and the romance is pretty to the point. There is some spice in this one toward the end, so it’s not full on Hallmark it would make the naughty list for that network for sure 🤣

Special thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a digital copy in exchange for an honest review

This is a different kind of rating that what I would normally do. I'm really not that into cozy stories, so I went into this pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy it (though I hoped I would be wrong). If I was rating this like normal, it would probably be a 1 or 2 star read. But I feel weird rating it that way because it seems unfair to purposely read a book I won't like and then drag down the rating for it by not liking it. So I'm giving it 3 stars, because I do think it's better than some of the other cozy stories I've tried to read.

Tinsel annoyed me a lot at times with her thought processes and actions. But the way she's different from other cozy main characters is that a lot of those things can be explained by the fact that she's an Elf slumming it with humans. Of course she's going to be a little different and out of sorts.

I don't like insta love. I like the insta jealousy even less. You've known each other for less than a day. Stop acting like that. It's weird. But I suppose that's par for the course for these kinds of stories, so if you're into all that, I think you should definitely give the book a chance. It was a fun Christmas vibe that I imagine would be really nice to read next to a window while drinking hot chocolate as the snow falls (idk man I live in a desert and I've never seen snow before in my 29 years, but that's the vibe I get)

Gut rating: ⭐⭐⭐
CAWPILE rating: 3.50
Spice: Open door
ARC publication date: November 13th 2025

Tropes:
- Arranged marriage
- Runaway bride
- Elf and mortal romance
- Forced proximity
- Instalust
- "Good girl"

Trigger warnings: Misogyny, forced arranged marriage, toxic relationship, death of parent, sexual content, paranoia, depression, panic attack, abandonment, alcohol, grief, kidnapping, sexual harassment

Quote: “Sometimes change feels like losing everything,” she murmurs. “But maybe it’s just making room for something better.”

Synopsis: Running from an arranged marriage with playboy Chris Kringle (better known as Santa Claus), fiesty 27yo Tinsel Evergreen - the daughter of Santa's Grand Elf - hides away in the small island town of Winter Key in Key West, Florida for a very un-Christmas break. With her holiday rental double booked, Tinsel finds herself staying with hunky 35yo Mason Kraus, Winter Key's local handyman who's facing his first Christmas without his dad and the shame of running his family's business into the ground. With Tinsel's heart pulled in two directions, she must make a decision that will change Christmas forever.

Review: Rather than the toothache sweetness I expected from this cheesy setup, the story was a deeper more serious read. I really liked how the book dealt with heavy topics around the misogynistic view of Mrs Claus, the weight of carrying on a family legacy, and depression and anxiety. However, the conflict resolution was clunky and didn't really work which was disappointing. While the romance was instalust, I appreciated Tinsel getting her independence in the end. However, the spice was male centred and a little stunted, with weird phrasing.

With thanks to the Publishers and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First impression literally how cute! This is my first EBook with Decoration on the chapter pages! This is such a cute lighthearted story that totally got me in the mood for Christmas!

Tinsel Evergreen is expected to marry Chris and take over the family tradition but it’s all too much. She borrows some magic and escapes the North Pole to the beautiful Winter Keys for a little Christmas-free vacation. See where Mason Kraus and Tinsel go in the adventures that lay ahead. I absolutely love the way Mason and Tinsel almost click from the beginning. She has nine days to decide if she stays or goes back to the life she ran away from. Will Mason and Candace be able to keep her in Winter Keys? The emotional ride the last half of this book had on me! I’m so glad with how the book ended. Lighthearted and happy. This was my first book by the Author and I love her writing style.

Editing- There is a blank page between the last page of a chapter and the next. I don’t know if it’s just NetGalley or not. Page 165 Tinsels Name has a capital I in it “when I open my eyes again, something I don’t recognize flickers Tinsels expression.”

Listen. This book grabbed me by my festive little collar, yeeted me into a snow globe, and then had the audacity to set that snow globe in FLORIDA.

Tinsel Evergreen is basically the Nepo Baby of the North Pole, pre-betrothed to Santa like she’s in some kind of sparkly, gingerbread-scented political marriage. She does what any rational, overburdened, destiny strangled girlie would do: commits a tiny magical felony and runs away to the beach.

And Winter Key? This town is the Hallmark Channel after three mimosas. Tacky lights. Weird competitions. Vibes of “gentrified fishing village but make it festive.” It’s perfect.

Then enters Mason Kraus, a man who is so grumpy sweet it should be illegal. He’s juggling a failing bait shop, family grief, and the emotional energy of a man who once loved a Christmas tree and got rejected by it. He does not need chaos in his house. So naturally Tinsel ends up living with him.

The roommates-to-lovers energy is immaculate and could power santas sleigh.

But my favourite part is Tinsel realizing she’s allowed to want things - messy things, human things, warm-in-the-chest, salt-on-your-skin things. Watching her step out of a life crafted for her and into one she chooses is chef’s kiss. Merry character development to all.

Meanwhile Mason is over here like, “I don’t believe in miracles,” and the universe is like “lol okay but what if we gave you a runaway elf princess with big eyes and even bigger emotional damage?” And he just folds like wrapping paper on December 24th.

By the end, I was fully feral, rooting for these two idiots to overthrow Santa’s arranged-marriage industrial complex and kiss under every palm-tree-strung mistletoe in the state of Florida.

Final vibe: a frothy peppermint-scented escape about finding home, freedom, and one very stubborn fisherman. Would die for Tinsel. Would protect Mason. Would absolutely move to Winter Key and live off fried shrimp and festive chaos.

All I Want for Christmas is a cute, cozy holiday read that really hits the festive vibe. Bailey Black’s writing is fun and easy to get into, and the small-town Christmas setting feels super warm and inviting. I did feel like the story could use a little more depth at times, but for a light seasonal read, it still does exactly what it promises.

Tinsel and Mason are both really likable, with personalities that feel relatable and genuine. They work so well together and have great chemistry, the kind that makes their interactions really fun to read. The romance is definitely a bit insta-lovey, but honestly, that’s kind of expected in a shorter book and didn’t bother me much.

There’s plenty of humor throughout, and the whole vibe of the town and its holiday charm makes the story even sweeter. Overall, it’s a light, feel-good Christmas read that’s perfect for getting into the holiday mood.

(Read on NetGalley)

When I picked up this book I went in with no expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by the end. A cute holiday romance where the future Mrs. Claus runs away from the North Pole and ends up in a small fishing town in Florida, where uses her new freedom and learns to love herself and others. I loved the feeling of the small town and how they celebrate Christmas with their limited decorations but big spirit, which feels as infectious to the reader as it does for our MFC Tinsel Evergreen. I enjoyed Mason as a character and a love interest, we learn through the book he is struggling, and it's nice to see him open up with Tinsel talk about his feelings and past.

I would have liked to have some more detail on the elves of the North Pole, they same like regular sized people that help Santa but what really makes them different from humans? There are a few moments of Tinsel being worried if humans find out about elves but what is the consequence of that? Was it a past issue? Unless we learn more about them in other books (if this continues into a series) I'd loved to learn more about the world in the North Pole.

Overall, this was a quick, fun and spicy (towards the end) holiday romance, and I'd like to re-read it again next Christmas.

thanks to netgalley for the arc of all i want for christmas by bailey black. i had already seen a lot of enthusiastic opinions about this holiday romance and, as soon as i started it, i immediately understood why: it’s light, warm, and has that little touch of magic that gets you into the christmas mood.

tropes:
small town christmas
grumpy x sunshine
forced proximity
found family
fish out of water
holiday magic

the story starts strong with an idea that really works: tinsel evergreen, daughter of the grand elf, grew up with a future already decided for her. she’s been promised to chris, the next santa, since forever, and she’s supposed to just follow the path chosen for her. no one ever asks what she really wants, and when she realizes she can’t pretend anymore, she takes a bit of magic and runs away. her emergency landing brings her to winter key, a small coastal town in florida trying to reinvent itself with slightly kitschy but adorable christmas decorations and events. for tinsel, it’s the first time she can actually breathe: no labels, no imposed traditions, just the chance to figure out who she is outside the north pole.

the problem is that, once she gets there, she ends up without a place to stay and is literally thrown into mason kraus’s life. because of a booking mistake, she ends up in his house, welcomed into the guest room, and their plan is simple: quick coexistence, no entanglements, and then everyone goes their own way. obviously, it doesn’t work like that. the two of them have to deal with a growing attraction while winter key tries to save its christmas spirit, and tinsel has only a few days to decide if she’s ready to go back to the life she left or if she’d rather take a risk. i won’t say more to avoid spoilers, but the ending is heartwarming and closes the story in a way that makes you smile to yourself.

tinsel is a character you like right away. she’s lively, a little chaotic, and completely determined to take back her independence. what i liked the most is that she doesn’t want freedom “to rebel,” but because she finally wants to choose for herself. throughout the novella she grows a lot, understands what she truly wants, and faces her limits without becoming heavy or dramatic.

mason, on the other hand, is the type who doesn’t want problems, but life gives him plenty anyway. with the family shop closed, his sister’s bar to support, and a past that still weighs on him, he’s not exactly the classic “grump,” even if people describe him that way. he’s more of a calm man, quietly sweet and much more sensitive than he seems. he’s one of those characters who don’t try to impress you, and maybe that’s why he works so well. and yes, he definitely has that slightly possessive and jealous side which, in a christmas story, weirdly fits.

their relationship flows really well. there are funny moments, softer ones, a few awkward exchanges, and a chemistry that starts fast but finds its rhythm as they learn to trust each other. the bond between tinsel and mason feels believable because they actually talk about their doubts instead of jumping into a relationship without thinking. a small but important detail: yes, there’s a touch of spice, but it stays light and doesn’t take space away from the plot.

bailey black’s writing is warm and pleasant, with a quick pace that brings you to the end before you notice. the atmosphere is really cozy: it almost feels like watching a christmas movie, but with sharper writing and lively dialogue. the dual pov works well, and the magical moments are balanced without making the story feel childish. the only thing that sometimes made me want one more chapter is the speed at which some emotional scenes are resolved, especially near the end, but that’s something typical of novellas and doesn’t spoil the reading experience.

the only downside: please, fix the formatting of the arc because i’m sorry to say it, but it’s almost unreadable.

overall, it’s a feel good read, perfect if you want something sweet, fast, and with the right amount of christmas vibes. if you’re looking for a cozy story with immediate characters and a spark of magic, this book gives you exactly what it promises.

My Thoughts:
Now it is fast-paced of course because it's a novella, but it does still somehow come across as slow-burn; it's an interesting dynamic. I also love the way their relationship grew as they talked about wanting to grow the relationship instead of it being instant love. The characters were really fun! I enjoyed all of them except Tinsel's mother lol. The book has you seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus differently and for a brief moment, I wasnt a huge fan of Chris Kringle. I felt like Ms. Black did a good job of balancing out the Christmas magic that can sometimes make stories feel a little more juvenile and actually addressed that issue in a way. I was surprised by just how much I really enjoyed this book! I honestly would have loved if it were a full length book so that there could be even more backstory and development

I found this to be a fun, creative holiday romance. The female main character is Tinsel, and she is the daughter of the head Elf at the North Pole. She is expected to marry Chris, who will be the next Santa Clause. She is not interested in being Mrs. Clause and wants her own freedom and true love, so she runs away and ends up in the Florida Keys. In the small fishing village of Winter Key, she meets Mason, who is struggling with grief and the prospect of losing his deceased father's bait shop to developers.

This book just radiated Christmas magic for me and just made me smile. The female main character was an adorable mess of an Elf. The male main character sounded like the perfect beach boyfriend. The romance was Instalust, but this did not bother me as it felt appropriate for the characters and storyline. I thought having the setting in a small fishing village in the Florida Keys was unique, as most Holiday Romances are set in winter settings. The pacing of the story with the romance and drama storylines led to a quick read. My only critique was that I found the open-door spice to be a bit cringy and awkward. The descriptions and the dialogue didn't work for me. Overall, I thought it was a great read to get into the holiday spirit. I plan to read the next book when it is released, as I did enjoy the side characters and hope to read their stories as well.

Tropes:

This book has a charming and creative premise! An elf fleeting an arranged Mrs. Claus marriage to experience real love and a real life outside of the expectations placed on her. I liked the idea of Tinsel wanting autonomy instead of a duty-based partnership and the book gives her clear motivation that's easy to root for. The book blends a small town atmosphere with the typical Hallmark-esque type of magic and romance.

That said, the execution didn't fully land for me. The pacing is very fast (which makes sense given these types of books) with major emotional beats like trust, intimacy, jealousy, and permanent decisions happening long before the characters have enough time to interact more and earn those moments. Because things moved so quickly, I struggled to feel connected to Mason and Tinsel as a couple. Some of the side character moments also felt exaggerated which sometimes made the story feel chaotic rather than cozy. I do wish that the previous history of Chris and Tinsel was fleshed out a bit more as well. A slower buildup and some more time spent deepening relationships and the magical rules and emotional arcs would've helped the story feel more cohesive!

There are some sweet moments toward the end, and I do appreciate the intention behind Tinsel's journey. I think readers who enjoy light holiday romances with a bit of spice and a fast moving plot will enjoy this book!

For me, the premise shines more than the execution but I can see the potential here and I'm curious how the author grows in future works.

This was an absolute dream of a book. Cute, funny, festive in every way and so magical. I wanted it to go on forever. Bailey Black is a new to me author who I discovered in the Read It Now category on NetGalley and I am so happy to have discovered her.
If you are looking for a Christmas book that puts the cheer into the festive season with low to no angsty, pure Christmas joy then this is your book. No deep characters, no over stretched angsty break up scenes.
There is the arranged marriage trope that is kind of funny since it's all about being the new Mrs Claus.

Thank you NetGalley and Bailey Black for the ARC!

The story was a relatively quick and easy read. Both of the MCs are likeable and have fleshed out personalities. I'm not usually one for holiday romances / books because I find most of them to be super cheesy. This one didn't strike me that way.

The one thing I cringed at was when Tinsel would say, "oh my reindeer!" during the deed.

The pacing of the entire book is pretty fast, but there was still the feeling of a slower burn. Only Mason's feelings didn't align with that. From the moment he saw her, even before she saw him, he felt super into her. It went beyond the feeling of finding someone attractive. When his sister mentioned that Mason allowed a stranger to stay in his place and suggested that it was because she's "supposedly the hottest thing on two legs", he got aggravated. "I don't know why the though of someone else knowing how beautiful Tinsel is aggravates me." And "I hadn't realized how much the idea of people noticing Tinsel would bother me." He doesn't even know her D:

I enjoyed the story, and appreciated how mature Chris ended up being. The conflict surrounding that was resolved a bit too easily, but I don't hold that against the author because the book was on the shorter side. Overall, I had a good time reading this book.

I started off this book thinking it was ridiculously silly - the daughter of the head elf, Tinsle needed a holiday away from all things Christmas and ended up in the Florida Keys, in the spare room of our MMC, Mason.

Everything that happened in this book was predictable, cheesy, and things happen with the most stupid coincidences... Tinsle bakes some cookies, oh wait, surprise, in 30 minutes time is the start of the Mrs Claus village cookie baking competition, what are the chances! But.... I really enjoyed this book!!!!!!

The characters are so cute, Tinsle despite the name is really likeable. Mason is a very clingy, emotional distrort golden retriever who falls hard and gets jealous very easily and we love.

But the standout favourite for me has to be Santa himself, Chris. 90% of this book Chris is the baddie... He's forcing Tinsle to marry him so he can become Santa, and we think "boo" .... but suddenly, Chris is dancing and grinding his hips, he's rocking out lines like "for the love of fruitcake, dude", he's pulling obscene giant 'adult toys' out his Santa sack and yelling "boom, best Santa ever".... I just loved him and I'm hoping ir there is a book 2 we see more of Chris and his fun side!!

This was a cute and cozy Christmas read!
I loved the idea of Tinsel running away from a life that was chosen for her and finally getting the chance to figure out what she actually wants. Her need for independence and her desire to make her own choices made her really easy to root for.
Winter Key was such a fun and different setting — a coastal Florida town instead of the usual snowy Christmas vibe. It made the story feel fresh and unique. The romance leans a little toward insta-love (which makes sense given the book is pretty short), but it was still sweet and enjoyable to follow.
I also really liked the strong friendships between the characters — it added depth and warmth to the story. Overall, this is a light, charming holiday story that’s perfect if you want something quick and cozy for the season.

Tropes:
Cozy fantasy / Christmas magic
Forced proximity
Runaway arranged relationship
Small-town romance
Insta-love / quick attraction
Only one place to stay
Grumpy × sunshine (kind of — MMC is more of a cinnamon roll!)
Holiday romance
Fish out of water
Heroine finding independence

Read if you like:
- Christmas romance
- Florida, beach setting
- instant love, forced proximity
- great side characters

Going in, I knew this was going to be a very lighthearted, quick read. I love the concept of an elf being in an arranged marriage with Santa. That touch of Christmas magic was very imaginative and original. I enjoyed this small coastal Florida town and watching the locals prepare for the holidays. The cheap tattoos, cookie baking contest and voting for a hunky Santa was just plain fun. I really loved Mason’s sister. She owns the local pub and is super feisty. Her wish to Santa made me laugh-out-loud. She totally deserves her own story.

The romance was the part of the story that was too forced for me. I liked Mason and Tinsel as individuals. Both were dealing with family issues that I was invested in, but their instant love was missing a lot. They obviously are great together physically, but I didn’t fully feel their attraction to one another any other way. The open-door spice was a bit tacky as well and “oh my reindeer” got annoying fast.

"All I Want for Christmas" is a sweet, cozy holiday romance that’s perfect for winter reading. The story follows a main character who isn’t exactly feeling the Christmas spirit—life hasn’t gone the way she planned, and the holidays only make that more obvious. When an unexpected romance (and a little holiday chaos) enters her life, things slowly start to change.

The book focuses a lot on relationships, second chances, and figuring out what you really want. The romance is light and cute, with some predictable moments, but that’s part of the charm. It feels like a Hallmark movie in book form: festive, comforting, and easy to enjoy.

The plot isn’t super deep, and you can usually guess where things are going, but that’s okay for this kind of story. It’s meant to be relaxing, not stressful. The holiday setting is one of the strongest parts, with plenty of Christmas vibes throughout.

Overall, All I Want for Christmas is a feel-good read. If you like holiday romances, happy endings, and cozy winter stories, this book is a solid choice.

Cute holiday story about an elf trying to find her independence. She's trying to run away from her responsibilities pertaining to Christmas and being the next Mrs. Claus, and decides to take a mini vacation far from home. She ends up in sunny Winter Key, where she meets Mason and his sister Candace.

The romance was okay. It was more insta-lust at first sight. Mason had no business being jealous of other people looking at her when he just met her less than a day ago. I prefer when they had meaningful and thoughtful conversations rather than flirting. They’ve gone through some things in their personal lives, so having someone who understands you, makes you feel less anxious and safe, and brings a sense of lightness, it's easy to gravitate toward that person, but again, this was wayyyy too soon. I liked them better separately and thought their relationship could have had more depth.

But besides the romance, I thought it was a cute story with some life lessons sprinkled in, and the magic of Christmas.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

All I Want For Christmas is sooo sweet, cozy and the vibes are twinkly Christmas movie magic, I LOVEEEED. It felt like curling up with hot chocolate and a blanket for sure was a comfort read. 🥺✨

Tinsel and Mason were so easy to fall for. Their dynamic is soft, funny, awkward and full of slow build chemistry.

Tinsel’s journey to figure out who she is outside the North Pole was honestly so wholesome.

Masons our quiet, steady, accidental grump who cares way more than he lets on 🫶🏻

The Florida coastal Christmas setting was adorable, the side characters added so much warmth and the little magical touches gave it that tiny sparkle of whimsy that makes a holiday romance unforgettable.

It was easy to slip into the world of “All I Want For Christmas” with the same warm fuzzy feeling a Christmas Hallmark movie. An extended Hallmark movie.

The emotional beats of the story are a bit rushed, with Tinsel and Mason have more of an insta-lust attraction than a slow build. Not that that’s an issue! It makes sense for the genre of romance, but also I feel like it could have been dragged out a bit more as they open up to each other.

I will say, it’s best not to think too hard of the logistics of the magic of it all. The premise itself is cute, but also how does an elf that is detached from the human world know so much about the human world? Honestly, it’s something to not think too hard on.

Tinsel’s emotional growth is good. While the stakes are high, it does feel as if they are there is more that could have been done.

It’s a quick read, but enjoyable nonetheless!

Thank you NetGalley and Bailey Black for the ARC, and letting me give my honest review!

The version that was sent to my kindle was really hard to read. A lot of missing letters replaced with ! so it left me guessing the word a lot of the time if it wasn’t an obvious sentence and for this reason it took me longer to read as I wasn’t reaching for it much. If it wa!sn! for th!s I would have de!Init!ly enjoyed it much m!ore. < a short example.

I did however finish the book and really enjoyed the characters! It is a cute, cosy, holiday read. Tinsel and Masons chemistry is what hooked me. A great read if you want to get in to the holiday spirit, it almost makes you want to spend Christmas there. The visuals I had of the town were so cute, the descriptions were on point. If I could step in to the pages and in to the town, I would.

Thank you to Bailey, NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for allowing me to read and review this book early. I really appreciate it. X

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC for an honest review.

All I Want for Christmas by Bailey Black is a light holiday story that is just right for those that are looking for a quiet, cozy read in front of fire. It is a charming rom-com set in an off the beaten path beachy Florida town struggling to survive. I am a sucker for a POV switch throughout and wasn't disappointed, but felt like I wanted more in the development of each character. Tinsel and Mason are a nice match and I enjoyed the romance, but felt like there could have been more depth to each of the characters. The book was predictable but it was all the sweet Christmas romance that I crave this time of year.

3.5/5* Recommend if you are looking for a light, easy holiday romance.

Tinsel and Mason have a whirlwind relationship that begins the moment she steps into Winter's Key, Florida. With the villa she expected double booked, Tinsel seeks refuge in Mason's spare room. The two can't help but feel the magnetic pull between them. But Tinsel is much more than she seems and she has a duty to her family, her community, and the world by protecting the magic of Christmas.

This was a cute, fun holiday read. I really enjoyed the main characters. It was super Hallmark-y which I absolutely love for this time of year. I do wish there was a little bit more dimension in the relationship between Tinsel and Mason. And I sure do wish Chris got his happily ever after. But, who knows... maybe we will see these characters again.

Thanks to the author and publisher to be able to read an advanced copy.

《Thoughts》
3 stars. Contemporary Holiday Romance.

If you want a book that is basically a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form (with just a dash of spice), then this book could be for you!

This book was a great one to start my holiday reads off with. It had all the Christmas cheer and cheesiness one could hope for.

While this book touches on some harder topics, it doesn't deep dive and stays quite fun. I would've liked to have seen some more resolution with Tinsel and her parents, along with Mason and the town and also his grief. Her relationship with Chris also felt like it kept changing, and I never knew how to feel about him.

Overall, a cute, fun read. I kept imagining watching this as a Hallmark movie.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for a gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tis the season!!! This book was just what I needed to get into the holiday spirit. With the holidays just around the corner, I needed a feel good book in the midst of my romantasy reads. A palette cleanser really. So this book was it!

Tinsel, an elf who has Christmas obligations, struggling with the pressures of expectation left the north pole to get a break. She ends up in a small town in Florida where she meets a few people, a certain someone in particular. During her time there, she learns a lot about herself, her needs, her wants and overall what is best for her.

This book really shows character growth and really caught me by surprise at how emotionally intelligent Tinsel is.

I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a cute holiday season book!

This was such a cute & fluffy read for the Christmas season! I liked all of the characters, and truly cared about their feelings and problems. It was a beautiful story of following your heart and not letting the expectations of others dictate how you live your life or feel about yourself. I thought the setting was cute, and overall the story was well written; exactly the type of Hallmark-y book I was expecting it to be. There was some light spice, but the scenes were short, and the emotional connection/attraction between the characters felt believable. I would definitely recommend this book to someone looking for a light, easy, and adorable Christmas read. Plus, the headers on the chapters were so cute! Such a fun detail.

I LOVED this book. In my opinion, All I Want For Christmas is the perfect Holiday/Christmas novel. The plot was original, even with the holiday clichés. It has all the magic elements, the coziness, the holiday vibes. And the romance in this one? Stunning. Both characters were very interesting, kinda quirky, and cute.

I loved the forced proximity, the small town, and Candace was so iconic. I hope to read more of her in the future (ehm, maybe with Chris?)

While reading this book, I felt like I was watching a classic Christmas movie, more specifically, The Santa Clause! It just had all the vibes, and that's probably one of the main reasons why I enjoyed it so much.

And thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

all i want for christmas is such a cute christmas romance! every year ive tried to find christmasy books to read that ive found gripping and page turning, but ive always failed. until now.
within romances, no matter if ive rated them 5 stars or 1 star, there are times both of the main characters have irritated me but i have to say, that was not the case with tinsel and mason! from their first introductions to the end page, i loved them. throughout the book, my love for them individually and in unison/romantically grew!”

i had never read a book written by bailey black before all i want for christmas, and i hope to venture into her other works because i am in love with her writing!

thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this arc!!
