Pretty good! I like seeing Pythona and Hot Rod. I think the Void Rivals title is the best entry in the Energon Universe. I know; it surprises me too.

Void rivals is the weakest of the 3 brands within the energon universe. It isn’t really stand alone at all, as cameos in early issues have grown into major plot points following either transformers characters or GI Joe characters. It feels like void rivals is almost a mislabel, as it’s basically a vehicle for the crossover plot points. Skuxxoid, the passing mercenary villain in early issues has grown into possibly the most interesting character to follow, but also isn’t currently tied to any main plot (and even his original version was from transformers tv show…so another transformers character steals the spotlight of the “new/original” series in the energon universe). So if I wasn’t interested in what happens “off screen” in transformers (and to a lesser amount GIJoe) I’d probably abandon void rivals.

Strong continuation of the series. Not quite as impactful as the first book but it does open the universe up even more with additional cameos and begins to answer some of the questions presented there. Writing an art continues to be excellent and surprisingly I'm digging the Skuxxoid story.

"Such devastation...and it was only the beginning. I can't believe my father was right."

Got a little slower than the first volume but STILL good. I can't wait until they collect the next part in deluxe.

Another fun entry in the Energon Universe! The space opera setting has the most interplay between the three series and it’s exciting to think about where it may go next. I liked this volume a slight bit less than the first, but I’ll be back next year for volume 3!
