"I knew the moment I gave in to pursuing Selene that trouble would follow me. It always does. I should have resisted."
Remington St. Germain is at a crossroads. He can either go after the one person who makes him feel as if he matters—the only person to ever calm the demons that roam his mind—or forget about her. The latter is not an option, even though there is a chance she might reject him. But, damn it all to hell, he will convince her. He has to. Otherwise, he will be right back where he was before she came into his life.
Selene Michaels' stay in Paris is only temporary. She shouldn't get too attached to Remington and his son, Adrien. But, Remington makes her feel alive and reckless, and Adrien makes her loss almost bearable. They complete her. She has a feeling there is more to Remington than a doting single father and her overprotective Prince Charming. Besides, the risk of being with them still looms closeby and she will do anything to keep them safe.
Sometimes life gives you a second chance. But what happens when danger threatens that chance?
Autumn enjoys writing angsty romance, featuring flawed and quirky characters and hard-won happy ever afters. When she’s not working as a nurse assistant, you’ll find her behind keyboard writing stories, or curled up on the couch with a book. Her work has been featured in USA Today’s Happy Ever After. She lives with her two children and one fur baby, enjoys good wine and binge-watching TV shows whenever she can.
Book 2 flowed much better. I think since the author focused more on just their relationship and a little less on other details, the writing was less chaotic for me.
Remington is treating Selene very well in this book. He’s obviously smitten and he wants to take care of her and protect her. I’m liking his possessiveness of her.
Someone is still stalking him but it didn’t ramp up until the last few chapters. I’m pretty curious who this mysterious woman is. On to book 3.

TITLE: Obliterate (Havoc, #2) AUTHOR: Autumn Grey GENRE: Contemporary Romance RELEASE DATE: January 5th 2015 MY RATING: ★★★★1/2 STARS
As required by the author"Autumn Grey"this review will be without spoilers!!
Sooooo where to start spolier free, oh right so yeah can't say that because that gives away the story hmmmm oh yeah that's right they can't mention that either because it contains a spoiler..Hmmmmmm what to say what to say!!
Here goes, where book 1 left off (Havoc #1) this book picks up right where Selene walks away from lickable Remington..
She had willingly walked out of my house in order to keep my son and me safe
The anticipation of were they going to re connect or weren't they nearly killed me with how book 1 ended and not being able to get my hands on it until now sucked big time!!
Remington had 2 choices weither he gives Selene time to cool down, think about things or does he carry on with life without her in it, at this point I pretty much gave him option 1 or else I was going to hunt down the author and ask why oh why did he go with option 2!! Remember no spoilers!!
Remember Selene just wanted a one night stand..But add Adrien into the whole package and I think she was delusional..
I received another letter
A bouquet of red irises
He's addictive (so is this book), adventurous, and highly delectable, but dangerous to be around BUT add the accent into the equation and holy shit bat man *fans face* he sounds freaking insanely hot!!
"I will rip your clothes off, and then kiss, suck, bite, and lick every part of your body, I can't wait to taste you. Mon Dieu, the thought of burying my c*ck inside you is driving me insane, I can't get enough of you."
I enjoyed this book more than book 1, mainly because of the build up of drama, the twists and turns, you don't know where the author is going to take you, it's like a roller coaster off the rails with the speed things were happening..
Recap of Characters: Remington (33, Parisian, famous painter, family has a vineyard/winery): Remington is a widower with a 5 year old son. He is a wonderful father and a sexy, sexy man in and out of the bedroom.
Selene (26, plus size model): Selene is in Paris for a 3 month modeling gig. She has been divorced for about 2 years. She has a strong backbone and doesn’t give up.
The Story This book pretty much picks up where Book 1 left off, but we don’t have to wait too long for our couple to get back together. And, they are like little rabbits when they are together. There is no shortage of steamy sex in Book 2.
The danger element definitely picks up in Book 2 as the mystery person has moved well beyond just letter writing.
Remington’s son is more present in this book as well as other members of his family. The danger element really picks up in the latter portion of the book and this one also ends with a big cliffhanger.
My Thoughts I liked Book 2 a bit better than the first book, but that’s because there was more character development. Understanding the way that Selene’s ex really demeaned her and the way Remington was treated by his father helped draw me into their lives more. I began to understand the triggers for each person and what made them tick. I connected to them more in this book.
Once again, this is a pretty low angst book. The H/h have small disagreements here and there, but nothing big that tears them apart for extended periods. They definitely rely on each other to calm one another down when the outside forces are coming at them. I loved how they leaned on each other when they were at their weakest. They have built enough trust to begin to share their pasts and my heart went out to both of them. I felt like they had a mature relationship and I enjoyed them as a couple. The only thing that irritated me is their stubbornness to talk about their future.
This book is another short one (around 120 pages), so it’s a quick read. The additional character depth and the mystery kept me engaged the whole time. In book 1 I had an idea of who the mystery person was. That was shot to hell in this book and I’ve now honed in on another suspect. I’ll probably end up being wrong, but I do appreciate a book that keeps me guessing. On to book 3.
Quotes: “What is Èric doing in here?” I asked, my voice unnaturally high, like a bad imitation of Lisa Simpson.”
“I have this chance, a second chance. I care for you very much, and because of this, I will not let anyone take you away from me.”
“This must be how it feels to swoon for a guy. Where were the smelling salts when I needed them?”
“What’s that noise?” he asked, his eyes widening in what I assumed was surprise. “Did you growl at me?”
“Take it easy, Tarzan. Jane is all yours.”
“We all have our demons, and every once in a while, we have to dance with them, embrace them. Having bad memories doesn’t make you broken.”
Be still, my racing heart! Autumn Grey is back with book two of the Havoc series, Obliterate and she continues to scorch each page with the tension, passion and intrigue begun in Havoc. Remington, Selene and Adrien are still caught up in the deadly and twisted sights of evil. Can Remington stay away from Selene? Can he let her leave Paris, leave him, leave Adrien? Time for action, time to pull out all of the stops and stop letting fear dictate the world he is used to controlling.
Two people, desperately in love, needing what the other has to give to complete them and make them feel alive, needing to own a future that promises all the best life has to offer. Is it possible to keep a firm line drawn in the sand, no thoughts of permanent attachment, live for the day, enjoy each other for now and let go when it is time? Is that even safe or is it time to take a united stand and end the threat that haunts Remington and those he loves? Chaotic? Yes. Gut wrenching? Yes.
Apparently Autumn Grey held back a little heat in book one, because Obliterate is like a supernova of tension, passion and emotion between Remington and Selene, as they once again had me reaching for the ice water, smelling salts and oven mitts. Ms. Grey can scorch a scene into your memory as Remington and Selene prove to each other that there can be no other, ever. The way she incorporates evil, danger and even the sweetness of a young child without missing a beat is astounding. The desperation is clear, the need is clear, and even the hope for the future is clear, I think the only thing steamed up were my glasses, go figure, it’s not like I kept re-reading those pages, much!
Seriously, these are characters to root for, a plot to be intrigued by and one talented author.
Series: Havoc - Book 2 Publication Date: January 5, 2015 Publisher: AG Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance Available from: Amazon Reviewed for: http://tometender.blogspot.com
Okay so First off: This is a second in a serial please be aware while I will not spoil what happens in this part I probably will have to spoil a little from the first part ;)
Second off: This was given to me as an ARC courtesy of the author in exchange for an honest review, and honesty is what I do.
Song Choice: "One and Only" by Adele - oh yeah its Adele worthy, "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers
First Thoughts: I LOVED THIS I was so eager to get my grubby little paws on this after the ending of the first one, I Was no disappointed and now i am left with the same feeling of longing and needing the last part. Because seriously- AHHHAMAZING I love the relationship between Remington and Selene so beautiful and raw.
Thoughts on Plot: I love this one as much - if not - more than the first part. I think that Autumn really brought this one to a whole new level. Remington was not going to let Selene go so easily, i think we all knew that. Selene also couldn't let Remington and Adrien go so easily either. I love the development of all the relationships in this book and also the brief glimpses of new characters - new books? hmm hmmm hmmmmm? hehehe anyways. The plot was nicely paced, with oh so steamy scenes that will leave you panting and desperate for more, and this mysterious stalker coming and when they will strike and what they will do will leave you on the edges of your seats. I thought i would be able to savor this and just enjoy it....nope nope nope I read it fast fiercely and practically just gobbled it right up.
Remington: He loves fiercely, and he fights for what he wants. There is so much more to him that we learn in this part that he becomes so much a deeper character. I adore him. I was in love with him in book one but now...jeez there is no going back. #teamRemington even though there is no need for teams XD
Selene: She is strong, independent and not perfect but that is quite fucking alright. Once you read this you will understand and then you will think about it and makes you go all swoony like nom-mie ^.^
I loved Obliterate! Second book in the Havoc series was HOT, sexy and tasty. Besides the tension and passion, there were real feelings mixed with intrigue. Plus, I fell in love with Remington and Selene even more if it was possible.
I knew about Remington, he wasn't the kind of man who sat back and let everything take its own course. He was his own course and he'd be back. It was only a matter of time. Every time I scrolled through my phone and saw his number, my fingers hovered above it, itching to call or text him.
The story is deep, the flow is great and the book kept me glued to the screen all the time. She'd told me that crying was a way of cleansing the heart of heartache and pain...
It was so great to see how Selene's relationships with Remington's son progressed. I can't wait to see where the story is going next. All in all, all I can say one thing - When is the next book coming out!? :)
Triggers: Cheating: Love triangle: Sex with om/ow:
HEA:
My review:
I enjoyed this portion of the story because we got a little more kiddo time - not too much though :( Also, Selene and Remington's relationship continued to progress and I feel like Selene is started to realize that it won't be so easy leaving to go back home to the States in a few months. I am really enjoying that this hero is SO into the heroine. Like from FIRST sight and of course the hero not being a manwhore single dad is a COMPLETE plus! :D
I have to say that honestly, the author could have put all of these books together and made one :) On to the next!
I love being a beta reader! It lets me read things like this wonderful creation before the masses. I'm now hanging on tenterhooks waiting for the third installment. I really want a Remington of my very own. Please, Autumn, may I have him??
Holy shit cliff hanger. Now I have to wait another month. You're killing me Autumn. I love The chemistry between Selene and Remington. Will post my review later.
"I am just a man on its knees before you, asking for a chance to spend time with you".
Wow! book 2 in this trilogy was quite intense near the end.
Selene's time in France is temporary that's always been a fact while she has appointments and her modeling but she agrees to spend time with Remington despite the threats he has received not to enter a relationship with anyone, threats he has received before and given in to but he is unable to let Selene slide through his fingers he wants her despite the risk and is determined to find the person threatening their lives.
The two are falling hard and fast, Remington's son looks at Selene like his mother, things are getting intense the chemistry is still hot and off the charts.
The jelous threats continue, Remingtons team is still drawing a blank to the mysterious letters and threats.
Security is high but someone knows how to get through the cracks.
Hovoc is proving to be a gripping, hot and intense read.
Told in first persons pov. finishes with a cliffhanger that leads to the final book in this box set.
I'm dying with these cliffhangers! WHO IS DOING THIS TO POOR SELENE AND REMINGTON?! Please stop!
I loved Obliterate. It's set in Paris, Selene is by far one of my favorite main characters, Remington is so damn hot and sensitive that I want him for myself (sorry Selene!) and Adrien...ohmygod who can not love that sweet little boy?!?!
In book 1, Havoc, you find out someone is sending threatening letters to Remington so Selene deciedes to leave to keep him and his son safe. Well, Remy can't stay away from her so he pursues her and they finally agree on something. The feelings in this book...*fans self* there are hot moments, moment of truth moments and moments that will literally melt your heart. Selene is becoming a fixture in Adrien's life now so you know he's going to want her to stick around. Remy is having high feelings for Selene while Selene doesn't want to go further because she'll be leaving in a few months. You get more back story for the characters in this one and the crazy person is fully crazed at this point, doing more harm to the this small group.
I don't even have to mention that ending. I need book 3. Like yesterday.
Highly recommended if you've read Havoc!!

"You're gonna fall for me," I teased him, laughing. He murmured, "My sweet Selene. It will be the sweetest fall."
Man, where do I start except I LOVED this second installment of the series. These two characters continue with not only the heat but they also begin to grow their relationship. And Remington isn't the only one in his family to fall for Selene...which sort of causes an argument of sorts! Awkward....but they work through it of course!
This installment had some nail biting suspense and secrets revealed that had me biting my nails! And just when I thought everything was smooth sailing.....
BAM!
Cliffhanger.
Autumn Grey is lucky the next book comes out next month....dang lucky!
If you're looking for a steamy, suspenseful series that's a quick read, look no more!
“He had a way of making me feel special, something I craved with a hunger so wild it shook my very foundation. I was a different woman with him, carefree and with no worries. Remington let me be me, explore a side of me I thought was non-existent.”
My Review:
Book 2 is even better than book 1, as they are bonding as a couple and falling in love without actually telling each other. Secrets are shared and more are uncovered. There are continued threats and a flurry of activity with a family vacation, more intrigue, more steamy sensual scenes, as well as assault, arson, family issues, and medical emergencies. The suspense element is ramping up and I found I was clutching my beloved kindle rather tightly. The writing is engrossing and the plot is well paced and expertly crafted. I am anxious to start Book 3 and find out if the mystery woman is whom I suspect.
This is the second installment in this series and it was superb!!! 5 stars, mystery, romance, forever love. Selene and Remington are a great couple, Adrian is the cutest 5yr old ever. Anytime reading a romantic suspense and not figuring out who the bad guy/gal is, bonus. This is a great read with everything you could want in a great book, you will not want to stop reading! Just call me Mrs. Remington St. Germain, damn he's hot!!! French acent, hot lover, sexy, loving father perfect book boyfriend material! One click this series.
I can't say to much without giving the story away so this will be straight and to the point. YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS. I was so caught up in this story that I didn't cook dinner and now I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for the rest of this series. Remington and Selene will keep you hooked and wanting more. This book is full of twist and turns and everything that you want in a book.
So Freaking Good!! I'm so in love with Remington!! I love the mystery in this book!! I keep asking myself who the hell is it??? Lol!! I can't wait for my next Remington fix!! A definite must read series!!
Obliterate didn't work quite as well for me as Havoc did. Don't get me wrong, this book was good and I was entertained, but it's always difficult for the second book in a trilogy to live up to the expectation of the first, while leaving room for the final book to bring it all home. For me, the story lagged just a touch in the middle-- I felt like there wasn't enough conflict to push it forward. We have the outward threat of the stalker, but there was little interior conflict between Remington and Selene that went deeper than the surface. For example, even when Selene give Adrien permission to use a different name for her without checking with Remington first, it seems to blow over fairly quickly.
I took issue with that scene because I felt like Selene was playing awfully fast and loose with a child's emotions, knowing that she's going to be leaving in a few months. How confusing is that going to be for Adrien? Selene came off as selfish, putting her needs above a child's.
Also, our characters say each other's names a lot. To me, much more than people do in real life. (This is a minor pet-peeve of mine, most people probably would have no problem with it.) It helps that I happen to think both names are interesting and I like them.
I did very much enjoy that the suspense was ramped up in this installment, and love that I still don't know who the threat is. There's a scene early on where Selene suggest someone, and rather than have Remington brush it off (like a weaker author might do), Remington considers it and investigates. It was refreshing to not have a potential red herring treated exactly as we expected it to be.
The connection deepens between our couple and that's well-executed, as well as some smoking-hot love scenes and the added element of danger and mystery. It was an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.
I am moving to Paris to find Remington St. Germain. I didn't think I could love Remington more and I was wrong. Obliterate, Book 2 of the Havoc series by Autumn Grey is just, totally and undoubtedly hotter and better. Remington gives Selene the space she needs, but he does not let her go. What makes this story one of the best I've read is that the feelings between Selene and Remington feel so real. The conflict between them is not petty, it is deep and meaningful. They both know it’s for only three months, but they can’t give up on their feelings.
This story just got hotter and the suspense more thrilling; we are still in the dark but we get some clues. Who is it? And why?
Selene’s confidence keeps getting stronger and bolder (Nope, no spoiler here; just a little tease):
“What are you wearing under these jeans?” “Nothing.” His lips parted and air rushed out. “Nothing?” I nodded. “Want to know why?” “I’m sure your reason will probably kill me, but yes, please. Tell me,” he said indulgently. “I………………….” You will find out when you read it!
The ending will leave you hanging and tears will be shed, again. This story has everything:love, passion, scorching hot sex, funny bantering, sass, suspense, and thrill. Mend is around the corner and I cannot wait to see where Autumn Grey will take us.
I was provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
