Violator 2024 mini series. This is a great mini series in the Spawn universe.
And a much more interesting origin story for one of my favourite comic book villains This is much better than the Alan Moore mini series in my opinion (which is odd because hes one of favourite writers) i feel like this one is handled better and I much prefer the idea of him being a fallen angel banished its much more fitting for Spawn in my opinion and much more interesting for this character.

The premise of the 2024–2025 comic miniseries Violator: Origin (published by Image Comics) is a multi-era-spanning origin story of Spawn's primary arch-nemesis, the demon Violator (also known in his human guise as Clown), narrated directly by the character himself as an unreliable narrator.
The story traces Violator's beginnings in the celestial heavens, his descent and fall into Hell, and his eventual banishment to Earth.

Theres alot to like in the comic mini series especially for fans of Spawn they also still do this great idea where you cant really trust The Violator and hes a very unreliable narrator and maybe everything he's saying could be a lie this reminds of one of my favourite Spawn issues with the Medieval Spawn.
The art is also incredible definitely has a dark edge to it which is very fitting for the Spawn Universe. Lucifer is an interesting character and I like how they give a sad part to the origin with a character Glorianna who Violator was close with it shows that this character has a emotional side but dont take it to far and Humanise him to much in my opinion.

My only issue with this one is it jumps through time to much for me and i wanted more of the Angel side of things not Violator going through historical events i liked it and it's enjoyable but I wanted more of lore and how he meets Malbolgia and becomes part of the Eight Sphere.
I just feel like this would tie into Spawn more and be more enjoyable for me. However what we got was alot of fun and a great read. Especially seeing different versions of a Hellspawn and The Viking Spawn was very cool.

Verdict ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. A great origin story for this character wanted more from the Lore of Heaven on Hell. But a fun read.

The Clown is one of my favourite characters in comics, let alone in Spawn. This origin may have disappointed some people but I enjoyed the jumpy storytelling from one of the most unreliable narrators in comics.

The art for the seraphim was really cool and the splash pages throughout were great. I would love for more of Violator and Gloriana that was teased at the end.

Eh, this is fine. 6 one-off stories at different times in Violator's history. Nothing very interesting though. Also, I don't understand when you have full nudity in a comic but bleep out f-bombs. Isn't it all kind of the same?
