This was a pleasant read, particularly for Hanson's tart, dry English humor. It is not so much a book about manners generally so much as a guide to British etiquette specifically, and there it excels. That said, although I find that I (an American anglophile) understand British culture a touch better now, other than that I didn't take a lot away from the book.
