This book was sooo much more than I expected!! Where do I even start?? The type of book that says romance but turns out to be a suspenseful, thrilling slow burn romance that has espionage, violence, captivity and plot twists that really make your head spin.
She seems to have OCD, but you’ll later realize it’s all part of her mask. She is precise, calculated and controlled for a reason. She moves with purpose.
He’s a cowboy with captivating grey eyes. He’s the mystery man that keeps crossing her path. Is that coincidental?

I was given the opportunity to arc read this in exchange for an honest review.
I’ll just jump right into it, this is a 4.75!!!
This had me hooked right from the jump! From the engaging and rich prose to the cowboy mmc, I was sitting at the edge of my seat like a toddler engaged in the abc’s.
This book had me stumped almost immediately, when I thought I had it solved and all the answers in the palm of my hands, it was five steps ahead of me.
If you’re craving an addictive mysterious with a riveting cowboy and a sweet heat kind of chemistry, what’re you waiting for?!? go read it!!!

I have 2 words. Utterly. Amazing. Hamilton writes exquisite characters and plots that keep you hooked. I did NOT see the plot twist coming. At all. Not many books do that to me. This was the perfect suspenseful book for spooky season, and honestly? Now all I've wanted to eat is pancakes with blueberry compote lol. Get your hands on this book - releases November 8th!!

THIS BOOK WAS SO FUN.
It caught me completely off guard in the best way possible. Normally, this isn’t the kind of story I’d reach for (hot cowboy assassin and an FMC tough as nails with more layers and secrets than I can count) but wow… consider me humbled…converted… whatever it is so that I can continue reading this series!
Blades Over Breakfast is wild, clever, and straight-up addictive. It’s packed with action, mystery, and two characters who should not work together but absolutely do. Their chemistry is unreal, their banter I EVERYTHING, and yeah… it’s hot as hell too. Like, tension-you-can-feel-through-the-pages hot.
Yvonne Hamilton really came for my sanity with the plot twists, because every time I thought I had it figured out, she was like, “Oh? You thought?” and threw me for another loop. I was this close to grabbing a whiteboard to keep track of it all, because the twists, the danger, the slow-burn chaos; everything hit just right.
But the real shining star? How well written it is. The pacing, the tension, the emotional beats; it’s sharp, layered, and so intentional beneath all the chaos. The intention was absolutely gorgeous.

Another amazing work of art from yvonne! I absolutely love her story line, plots and twists and how detailed she is with her characters. The banter and chemistry between Clara and beau is absolutely incredible! The thing I love most about yvonne is just when you think you know the plot and what’s about to happen she throws you for a loop and it’s the complete opposite! She always keeps you on your toes and second guessing! Also who doesn’t love a killer cowboy if you know what I mean! Clara is such a badass fmc so to see those two clash was amazing! I was hooked from the beginning and this story had me guessing the whole time!! I’ll take me some pancakes and a killer cowboy any day! You’ll absolutely love this suspenseful and mystery slow burn! I can’t wait to see what yvonne comes up with next!

Wow this book !!!! I was hooked from the beginning I loved these characters Clara who I found was a strong, held her own didn’t let anything get in her way city girl then there was beau the cowboy on a ranch who was curious, quiet and just watched her until he felt he had to step in. This book kept me on my toes . I found this an enjoyable easy read was tense in places and other places the banter had me chuckling I 100 percent recommend everyone to read this if you love a cowboy , Enemies to lovers troupe but also love a thriller with suspense then you need this romantic thriller in your life.

I had the BEST time read this book, I love it so much! I went in kind of blind, I just knew I wanted to read it because of the teasers Yvonne had posted! So I had no idea what I was even getting myself into, but boy oh boy did Yvonne deliver with this one!! I actually loved both of the main characters, which as we all know doesn’t always happen. Especially Beau, everyone needs them a man like him! The story takes you on a twisty and wild ride that you won’t regret taking! You’ve got the great thriller aspect and then add in some spicy romance. It’s literally perfect! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

This book was unexpected in so many ways. I loved the interaction between the main characters. FMC is a total badass with precise motions in everything she does. MMC is more laid back , takes things as they come. Favorite saying is nothing can't be solved by a stack of pancakes. Home grown spies, killers, operatives working for the same company different arm. Are their agendas the same, will they work together or fight against each other to the bitter end. Great plot line , great spice level. This can become a series that lasts decades.. Very Clancy thrilleresque with more spice to satisfy both genres...

When this lady pitched this story to me I wasn't sure she could pull off should a complex mash up but boy did she rise to the challenge. Think Mr and Mrs Smith but throw in a Texas cowboy with a to die for southern drawl and a city slicker who makes me cry at the utter disrespect she shows to the way she eats the almighty burger. I don't think I'll ever get over that. I'm crying just remembering it. All in all Yvonne knocked this one out of the park and I can't wait for book two that I know is going to be just as good.

Go into this book blind best advice to give with this book. This book leaves you with the unexpected. This book gave me butcher and blackbird vibes but western. This was a straight addictive ride. If life wouldn’t have gotten in the way i would have probably finished this in one sitting! The plot twists will leave you in a choke hold because you think you have it figured out. Nope. Yvonne’s like ha hold on i got more.

I received this book to review as an ARC and This book was so great! These characters are amazing and I love the story. Its a slow burn, and I love the banter between the characters and the development of their relationship. The action is so awesome & The main character is a badass. I'm excited to see where this story goes next

Blades Over Breakfast is worth devouring!
Blades Over Breakfast was the perfect mix of mystery, adventure, and the kind of slow burn we all crave! Can’t wait to read the second book, but until then, I’ll be enjoying my pancakes with blueberry compote in hopes it really does fix everything.

I absolutely loved this. Beau just had me hook for obvious reasons 🥵 and Clara is so unapologetically herself. The suspense and tension in this story you could cut with a knife. The banter hand me cackling away to myself. And the twists I never say coming. Great work from Yvonne.

Oh my dang. This was one twisted book. Normally the twists and turns of a romance book don’t genuinely surprise me. But surprised I was. I did not see that coming. The writing was amazing. The story was intriguing and suspenseful. Kept me engaged all the way through. It was a ride and I just had to hold on. It was different from what I was expecting and I was very happy about it. Clara has her way of doing things and Beau pushes her limits while also respecting them. As i was reading I knew I was getting to the end and I was still thrown when it ended. I need the second book like asap!!
