Never Too Late to Play: On the Road

Rate this book
The sequel to Never Too Late to Play

After the layover in Phoenix, everything changed. The fantasies that lived for years in Stephen’s imagination are now part of their reality, and Julianna’s eyes are open to a world of possibility. And by possibility, she means new men.

When a business trip takes her to Boise, Idaho, the couple decide to explore the hotwife world again. Separated by hundreds of miles, how will Stephen manage his jealousy and desire? And what will Julianna do with her newfound freedom?

On the Road explores what happens once Julianna and Stephen have had their first taste of the hotwife lifestyle. It's a story about love that grows bolder with time, desire that deepens with trust, and the thrill of finding out there’s always more to learn—even after twenty-five years of marriage.

Absolutely as good as the first volume. The writer takes us deeper into the relationship between Julianna and Stephan.

We see the interplay as Stephan helps her find a playmate. This is not purely a hotwife tale, It’s still evolving.

Mr Wright manages to put the reader into the story and we see first hand how Julianna respects her husband. She is doing this partly to satisfy his fantasy. She didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as she is. She quickly finds out how selfless Stephen truly is. Her enjoyment is his goal.
She enjoys being reclaimed by Stephen as much almost as much as the playmate. The main difference, the playmate has the benefit of being ‘new’ and different.

There is no humiliation, no angst. Julianna’s only regret, as she gets more traffic, is sharing with Stephen. She’s very happy. Stephen is only coordinating and she feels like he’s overlooked.

The duality of the story, tends to confuse the frequency of activity that took place,
With the bouncing back and forth between the two spouses, you have to pay close attention to suss it out.

At the end of volume two, she has only had two encounters. One each with two men. Anthony and Nick, in Phoenix and Boise.

Beyond that, it’s a great story. This is not a red hot ‘stroke’ fest. The heat is subdued compared to many books on this topic. The romance, particularly between the couple, is excellent. It’s more love story, than porn. What shines the most is the dialogue. It’s believable.

Brilliantly done and an excellent read.

I strongly recommend it. I’m looking forward to the next episode.

It seems the first book in this series (simply: Never Too Late to Play) was actually 3 short stories pulled seamlessly together. Most combinations have a lot of redundancy - the original book did not. So this book is a short story adding onto the first three. There is at least one further book in the series. Readers who get frustrated with authors “stringing” a good story out, may want to wait until the series is complete. This book is under 90 pages, with almost 10% marketing at the end, but I’m going to grade it on my full novel scale as part of the larger series.

Beautifully written, this short story continues the adventure that Julianna and Stephen are on. They’re very careful, closely vetting potential hook-ups and having a preliminary “date” prior to any action. Similar to Book 1, if you are looking for scene after scene, this book won’t do it for you. But if you want to read about a couple navigating adventures and the careful assessment of potential “partners”, this is a special read.

It’s all “above board”. There’s no cheating or humiliation. And husband Stephen is no wimp. He has a kink that thrills him - eg. “Stephen felt both thrilled and unsettled. This was part of the draw. He liked the feeling of being unsettled almost as much as he liked the excitement.” One wonders if the road will become bumpier as Julianna finds her footing?

A very solid 5 Stars. Waiting for Book 3.

A good, well written Kenny Wright book

This is book two of the wife who gets into the hot wife life style a bit older in life. Her husband ,of course, encourages her. Both derive please from her encounters. The book seems a bit short with not as much sex and angst I usually expect from Kenny's books but it is still a good read.
