Anya Morozov has spent the past three years avoiding the world. After being captured and torn apart in all of the worst ways possible, the Bratva Princess disappeared from mafia society.

Despite the ghosts of her past continuing to haunt Anya, nothing could keep her away from her brother’s wedding. She speaks to no one and stays safely in her seat. Flanked by her protective family, she does her best to get through the evening unscathed. Until she’s asked to dance.

Matteo Moretti finds himself drawn to the angelic Russian princess after only one glance. He knows she’s been through more hell than anyone ever should. In fact, he knows more than the whispers of the mafia world claim to. Their siblings are now married, and through that connection, he’s found himself wondering often about the reclusive girl who avoids all men.

He should leave her alone to her solitude. But as the youngest of nine Italian mafia sons, Matteo isn’t much for avoiding risk. He wants to meet Anya, and he’s willing to do anything to make her comfortable. Including handcuffing himself to dance with her.

What begins as a bold gesture transforms into a tentative friendship. With distance and past trauma keeping them physically apart, it’s strange how close they begin to feel.

This is an emotional mafia romance.

Hmmm, it was disappointing and a lil boring. Family crumbs saved it, though. Slow burn was good in the beginning. But it got repetitive.

Such a pretty title, and it's gonna be about the prettiest couple ever 😌 it's friends to lovers too, one of my favorite tropes!! Their crumbs were yummy in the previous books 😭

ੈ✩‧₊˚ Wow, I just read this book in one sitting.

𐙚⋆.˚ I’m honestly amazed. The plot of this one was soo different compared to the others. And I honestly loved it. It’s more about healing because of a mafia world rather than fighting, killing and whatever is part of it (even though it also plays a passive part).

˙⋆✮ The writing style is okay, I’ve found some spelling mistakes and also a false POV but it didn’t really bother me and could be fixed easily. I really loved the way Anya spoke with her therapist and the things they discussed.

𐙚🧸ྀི I love Matteo and Anya together but also just as characters. Matteo was so patient with Anya, it killed a part of me🥹

Now, Hidden Empire will probably be my favourite book (at least for now) in this series. BUT I’m super excited about the next one. Since the last book I wanted to know what would happen to Leon!!

My excitement for this book was next level as we got a small moment of Matteo and Anya over the last few books and from this moment I knew I absolutely couldn’t wait to have their story in my hands. Which yes this also resulted in me devouring this book within 24 hours. Matteo and Anya certainly have a special place in my heart🥹

Let’s take it back to the beginning shall we, if you have read Jade and Dmitri’s book which is the first in this series it is briefly mentioned that Anya suffered while she was only 15 due to her mother’s schemes. We first get to witness Anya after she attends Jade and Dmitri’s wedding, where Matteo offers Anya a dance and to make sure she feels completely safe and in control at all times he volunteers to keep his hands restrained.

Anya’s healing journey is a slow and steady process, she is weary of most men and this is not limited to her own family but this small gesture that Matteo does by her absolutely warms my heart. Furthermore, this is the first moment that I was so proud of the FMC, she was already outside of her comfort zone by attending a public event but she goes beyond that by dancing with Matteo for. It was also the first time in a long time that she felt like just a regular girl. This is certainly a defining moment between the pair and Matteo being the gentleman that he is of course and asks for approval of her father if he can remain in contact with Anya via text message.

It is here that the pair starts to build a friendship, which first starts over a few messages and then goes to FaceTime calls. Anya never deviates from her routines which means she doesn’t leave the house, but Matteo keeps Anya connected to her niece and nephew which Ii found to be a sweet gesture as Anya was worried due to her lack of visits that they won’t know who she is. Matteo became a lifeline for Anya so to speak, he cared very much for her well being, and he ensured that their calls and messages were judgement free. Basically that he was a place where she could always be open and honest.

Like Matteo I was cheering Anya on during her journey throughout this book and how little by little she began to claim pieces of her life back and slowly start to build confidence once again. I think Matteo gave her an indirect nudge that she wanted to do more to help herself.

The FMCs the series always tend to build a friendship with a Moretti sibling and while yes Matteo and Anya started off as friends she also developed an unexpected friendship with another Moretti sibling and let’s just say while his exterior is hard and tough he certainly had a soft spot for Anya and he ensured she was well protected. But you need to read this book to find out who exactly that is🤭

I also loved reading about these two building their friendship and later in the book see how that friendship started to blossom into something more. Matteo’s loyalty was completely to Anya and he proves this at many points throughout this book. Matteo was always respectful towards Anya and it was always her own pace that they went at, this includes his visits while they were still friends and then later when that friendship blossomed into something deeper.

Words cannot describe how much I loved reading about their journey, the author definitely delivered. I cannot for our next Moretti sibling, and this sibling is definitely one readers have been asking for quite some time but definitely more after Apollo and Rayna’s book🤭

Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

I had the privilege to have an ARC of this book and dare I say that Matteo knocked Cassio right outta his number one spot!

The story follows Matteo, ninth Moretti son and Anya ( Dimitri and Ivan’s sister) Bratva princess who has a very tragic backstory. This is a story of trusting, healing and falling in love with acts of service. Slow burn but worth the wait! The relationship between these two is actually so perfect, I wish I could read it for the first time again when it comes out!

Nico also jumped right on up my list of favorite Moretti men too in this book!

Best side character awards go to Uncle Lev and Nadya. The banter and comedy goals are so there!

Lastly, mafia fathers are so golden and tbh they make me emotional. Dante is perfect but Anton is CHEFS KISS!!!

ARC REVIEW ✨️

ARC REVIEW ✨️

(Sorry if there are mistakes, English is not my first language.)

Okay, so where to begin? This is Matteo and Anya's book, one of my most anticipated books in this series, and what more can I say than I LOVED IT 💕

To start this review, I'll give you a little context. Anya, as you know (if you've read the other books), is Dmitri's sister, Jade's husband and future Pakhan. She was a victim of ra** among other abu***, so she's a very shy girl who lives in fear of any man who approaches her, except for her uncles and father. So, when Matteo does everything we know in the previous book and Anya allows him to get close, it's a shock to everyone and when they begin their long-distance friendship, becoming so close, it's something that certain people didn't expect (🕵🏻‍♀️ I won't say who).

Now, with the context out of the way, we can move on to the book in general; but first of all, if you want to read this book, you should know that there are certain TW that could trigger certain situations, so I always recommend that you read the content warnings that the author gives us at the beginning of the book to avoid any problems.

"Why wouldn't I want to see you again, hmm? Tell me all the reasons you're making up in that head of yours and I'll tell you why they're bullshit, yeah?"

Anya and Matteo (sighs) 💖 are so beautiful together. The book was everything I hoped for regarding the development of their relationship, which began as such a genuine and beautiful friendship and gradually became something incredibly BEAUTIFUL and (for me) the most important thing is that it didn't happen overnight; there was so much behind the scenes for Matteo and Anya to get where they are, it wasn't something that was created with a snap of the fingers; it was step by step. And for us as readers, witnessing the development of their friendship, how they built that trust, how they opened up to each other, and how Matteo gave Anya the time, security, empathy, confidence, and everything she needed to form the relationship they have, and how Anya could give him so much, is the best part. Everything was so perfect, from their first hug to their first kiss; I love friends to lovers and this was no exception 🥹🩷

Thanks the author for the ARC 💜

ARC REVIEW

5⭐️ – Anya deserves everything good the world has to offer!
Anya’s deeply traumatic past has been hinted at since the first book in this series, and I absolutely loved how KL Mann finally told us her story. I already liked Matteo for the way he treated Jade, but he completely won my heart with how kind and gentle he was with Anya. Their long-distance friendship was so endearing. I loved how Matteo’s light and friendship inspired Anya to move forward in her recovery journey. Her healing is truly remarkable, especially considering the kind of trauma she went through at only fifteen.
I really enjoyed seeing her bond with her dad and viewing him in a new light because Dmitri’s perspective differs so much from Anya’s. I also liked that Matteo finally found a purpose and a place where he no longer fades into the background. It will be very interesting to see how his path develops. The way Matteo and Anya’s relationship slowly and steadily evolved from friendship into romance was beautiful, and I appreciated how patient and understanding Matteo was with her.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much of Nico we got in this book. His friendship and care for Anya were both heartwarming and unexpected. There are so many subtle hints about other couples and future books, and they have me incredibly excited. I adore this series and its characters, and the ending gave such an intriguing glimpse into Leon’s story. I can’t wait to read his book next!

5 ⭐️/1.5🌶️

This book is just so freaking cute! I never thought I’d say that about a mafia romance, but here we are. 😅 I’ve been waiting for Matteo and Anya ever since Hidden Empire, and honestly, I did not expect their story to hit like this.

Matteo might actually be the sweetest made man I’ve ever read. No competition. And Anya! She’s one of those characters you just want to wrap up in a hug and protect at all costs. The way her POV is written really pulls you into her head, you can feel how deeply her trauma has shaped her, how hard she’s trying to cope and move forward. There were moments I genuinely had to pause because it got a little too real emotionally 🥹

What I loved most was how their relationship built over time. It wasn’t rushed or forced. Their friendship came first, then trust, then those tiny, meaningful steps Anya takes because Matteo is just… always there for her. Always steady, always supportive. It made everything feel so earned.💕

And yes, this is a slow burn, like slow slow, but if you’ve read the rest of the series, you already know why. And trust me, it’s absolutely worth the wait. 🙌🏼

Also, getting to see the rest of the Moretti men again? Immediate serotonin boost. That was just the cherry on top.

And that epilogue??? The setup for the next book??? I was NOT prepared. It came out of nowhere and now I need that next book soon, please 🙃

I received this book as an ARC and just like every time before I am so glad I did not have to wait for release day! This series is the Boys of Tommen of mafia romances. I always think the next installment won’t be able to top the previous one but yet again this has creeped its way into my number one spot. This one follows Matteo Moretti the youngest of the siblings and Anya Morozov the younger sister of the Morozov brothers. They meet at Jade and Dmitri’s wedding when Matteo asks the very timid and healing Anya to dance. Of course it being Matteo he had to take it to the extreme and handcuff himself to put Anya’s mind at ease. Anya is still in the process of healing from severe torture and Matteo offers to be her friend and text her. From there they grow closer and closer with the help of Nico who may be my absolute favorite character. It’s so hard to not spoil anything so for plot points I will leave it there and say you will have to read to find out the rest. Trust me it’s worth it because right up until the very end you are getting hints to what is to come! As always I will list below some of my favorite tropes, details and character characteristics found in Divine Empire.

-sunshine & healing
-friends to lovers
-he cooks for her
-he’s patient
-trauma healing
-found family
-no third act breakup
-they write each other letters
-slow burn

Divine Empire, the fourth book in the Moretti empire series, was an emotionally charged and captivating read. Finally, I got to meet Anya, my beloved mystery lady, who I have loved since Hidden Empire. She’s a gentle, caring, and a genuine sweet soul, she’s also dedicated to work hard daily to combat her PTSD.

Anya’s journey through this book is a testament to her growth and resilience. As she navigates new emotions, we witness her slowly shed her shell and embracing life with so much joy. It’s a heartwarming story of her unwavering determination to do her best every day. I was genuinely impressed with the handling of Anya’s trauma and the profound connection between her and her father, her aunt, Nadya, etc. Matteo, the perfect ray of sunshine, became Anya’s guiding light. Their friendship bloomed into a beautiful love story, leaving this bittersweet taste of how much I ALREADY miss them! I wish I could say more….but that would include spoilers and I’d NEVER do that to you!

I cannot wait for everyone to read this ASAP! You will not be disappointed, I promise you!

I loved this one almost as much as Tragic Empire (book 2.) I was glued to my book all day and could barely put it down.
It dealt with some triggering & heavy topics.
Matteo is still my top favorite of the Moretti siblings. I love the Morozov family as well and hope to get more from them in the future, especially once Dimitri and Jade move home to take control of the family.

I need more Ivan and more Nico <3 <3
Jade's family is still my favorite but we see some great new additions in this book.

I am ready for Leon's book next!

ARC REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️

I received this ARC and am so grateful for the opportunity to read it.

Divine Empire by K. L. Mann was one of my most anticipated reads, and Matteo and Anya absolutely delivered.

I’m a mafia girl through and through, but this was honestly one of the sweetest mafia romances I’ve read. Given Anya’s traumatic past and the way it’s caused her to isolate herself and avoid physical contact, especially with men, you knew Matteo would have to move carefully—and he did. Every step he took with her was patient, thoughtful, and full of care. He never rushed her, never pushed, and always made sure she had control.

Watching their relationship build through texts, trust, and tiny moments of connection was so beautiful. Matteo truly met her where she was, and Anya’s growth throughout the book was incredible to watch. She wanted to heal not just for herself, but because Matteo gave her something safe to lean on.

And as always, the found family in this series continues to be one of the best parts. Nico’s POV and everything he did for both Anya and Matteo completely stole the show for me.

This was another five-star read in one of my favorite mafia worlds, and I’m already desperate for whatever comes next.

Read this if you love:
• Friends to lovers
• Shy girl x sunshine boy
• Patient, gentle MMCs
• Found family
• Healing and learning to trust again
• Softer mafia romance

✨Review of Advanced Reader Copy received by the author✨

PLEASE THIS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!! 5 STARS NO NOTES!! When I tell you I saw the arc pop up in my email yesterday morning I screamed I am not joking, thank you to K.L Mann the author for providing me with this opportunity to experience Mattel and Anya’s magic early! I’ve been anticipating Anya’s story since Hidden Empire when we got introduced to her character and Matteo being her man is absolutely perfect. They are soulmates, I love friends to lovers and this was perfectly executed, the pacing the YEARNING for each other. Matteo is so patient, sweet and considerate as well as funny and makes her laugh which is exactly what she needed after what she went through. The found family in this is something else, the moment I started reading the series I knew it would be my Roman Empire series. The growth of Anya’s character made me so so proud of her and all the relationships between her and characters she became closer to AHH SO CUTE. PAPA MOROZOV is so soft for his little girl aaah I adore it! I need the next book like yesterday 😭😭😭

I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

(ARC Review)

The girl who thinks she’s so broken and hard to love, and the boy who loves her as easy as breathing.

I have to be honest, I cried many times. To think that you’re so troublesome and having someone who loves you so effortlessly— to have someone who thinks you’re worth the trouble.

I love the Moretti family, and its always nice to be back with them. But to see Matteo Moretti find himself in the process of finding love? Amazing. They are so precious to me.

(Also, ngl, I am frothing at the mouth for more Nico. Please? Thank you?)

P.S, this is my first time receiving an ARC and I was so giddy I could die. And its beyond fitting to have a found family, mafia book be the first ARC I received. So thank you Kassie. Please give me more I BEG.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (and emotionally unwell tbh 😭)

K.L. Mann really said “you thought you were emotionally stable? That’s cute.” because WOWWW 😮‍💨 Divine Empire absolutely stole my heart and refused to give it back.

Returning to the Moretti world honestly feels like coming home 🖤🏛️ Every single time I pick up a book in this series, I fall deeper into this chaotic, protective, hilarious, mafia-filled family and somehow end up loving every character even more. And THIS BOOK? Matteo Moretti finally getting his moment??? I was SAT 👏🏼

If you’ve been obsessed with Matteo since the earlier books (because let’s be real, how could you not? 😂), prepare yourself because this man is EVERYTHING. Underneath the jokes, the charm, and his unserious younger-brother energy is someone so deeply caring, patient, and loyal that I genuinely melted every few chapters 🫠💘 He’s not loud in his love. He’s intentional. Gentle. Understanding. The way he cared for Anya had me clutching my chest every other page 😭

And speaking of Anya… 🥺🤍

Her story absolutely wrecked me.

Without spoiling too much, Anya has endured unimaginable pain, and watching her slowly navigate healing felt incredibly emotional and beautifully handled. This book takes its time with her journey, and honestly? I appreciated that so much. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt unrealistic. Every tiny moment of progress felt meaningful 🌷

This is definitely a slow burn romance, and when I say slow burn, I mean SLOWWWW burn 🔥🐢 But somehow it works perfectly for this story. Their connection builds through trust, friendship, patience, vulnerability, and emotional safety before anything else, and it made every little interaction feel so much more special 🥹

The texting. The conversations. The quiet moments. THE LETTERS 😭😭😭 My heart could not handle it.

Matteo and Anya’s relationship felt soft in the best possible way. There’s no overwhelming chaos in their romance. It’s more about comfort, healing, and finding someone who makes life feel safe again. And honestly? That hit me way harder emotionally than constant drama ever could 💔➡️❤️‍🩹

Also, can we PLEASE talk about the family dynamics because this series never misses 🤌🏼😂

The Morettis continue to be one of my favorite fictional families EVER. Every interaction feels chaotic, protective, loving, and hilarious all at once. Somehow K.L. Mann manages to make a massive cast of characters still feel memorable and important, which honestly deserves applause 👏🏼 There were so many little moments with familiar faces that had me smiling like an idiot.

And NICO????

Yeah… I fear I need an entire support group because every book somehow makes me love him more 🤪🖤 The glimpses we got?? Not enough. Never enough. I am officially in my Nico era and patiently (not patiently) waiting for more.

I also loved seeing little hints of future storylines 👀 Because excuse me??? THAT ENDING?!?!?!? I genuinely had to stop and process for a second because WHAT JUST HAPPENED 😭 K.L. Mann really knows how to leave readers desperate for the next book.

Something I really appreciated about Divine Empire is that while it’s technically mafia romance, this one feels emotionally different from some of the earlier books. There’s less focus on danger and nonstop action, and more focus on emotional healing, growth, and connection. It still has all the family loyalty and protective vibes we love from this series, but with a softer emotional core 🥹✨

And honestly? Matteo was exactly the person Anya needed. Never pushing. Never forcing. Just showing up, supporting her, making her laugh, and reminding her that healing doesn’t have to happen alone 😭🤍 The emotional maturity??? We LOVE to see it.

I flew through this book so fast it was actually embarrassing 😂 One minute I started reading and the next I was somehow deep into the story wondering where the time went because I physically could not stop.

If you love:
💌 slow burn romance
🖤 protective but patient MMCs
✨ healing journeys
👑 mafia family dynamics
😂 funny sibling banter
❤️‍🩹 emotional depth
🥹 friendships turning into something more
🔥 tension that builds beautifully

Then PLEASE read this series.

Divine Empire gave me emotional damage, comfort, butterflies, and family chaos all in one package and I genuinely never wanted it to end 😭📚

K.L. Mann, respectfully… I am once again begging for the next Moretti book immediately because I am NOT okay after this one 😩👑✨

Divine Empire is the fourth book in the Moretti Empire series by KL Mann and I have been waiting for it ever since book 1. It is the love story of Matteo Moretti, the youngest son of the massive Moretti clan and Anya Morozov, the protected Bratva princess of the insular Morozov family. Matteo is pure golden retriever energy- he has never met someone he couldn’t charm and is a happy-go-lucky, friendly open-book. On the other hand, Anna is traumatised after a brutal event when she was a teenager. She rarely leaves her home and doesn’t trust anyone outside of her family, particularly men. When Matteo and Anna meet at their siblings’ wedding, a thoughtful gesture from Matteo kicks off a long distance friendship that brings a closeness neither of them expected.

The previous books in this series have all been 5⭐️ reads for me so going in I knew I was going to adore this story, but honestly I was still blown away by just how much I loved it. Not only was Matteo and Anna’s journey from strangers to friends to lovers such a beautiful thing to explore, but I also loved Anna’s healing journey and her journey of learning to trust again- not to mention their relationships with their families and the found family element. I particularly enjoyed getting to know more about the Morozov family. And that ending! *chef’s kiss*

The fact that this mafia romance was a slow burn was exactly what these characters needed for their relationship to make sense. However, it still had epic banter, hilarious moments, some blood thirst and violence AND it made me so emotional I was even tearing up (in the best possible way)! I devoured this book as soon I received my arc and I had planned to post my review immediately. However, my whole family then got sick so all my reviewing went by the wayside and I re-read Divine Empire instead. Both times it was a 5⭐️ read.

Thank you so much @kindakassiee for gifting me a copy of this book in return for my honest thoughts. I loved it SO MUCH and I am waiting with bated breath for Fractured Empire.

5 stars!!!

I truly loved this book! The plot felt so different from the others in the series, and I’ve been invested in Matteo and Anya ever since we first got glimpses of them in the previous books. Getting to finally see their story unfold was absolutely worth the wait.

What I loved most was how genuine both Matteo and Anya were. They both had such soft, golden-retriever energy, and they balanced each other perfectly. Matteo’s patience and respect for Anya throughout her healing journey made me love him even more. He constantly put her first and was always thoughtful of her boundaries, never rushing her or making her feel pressured. Their relationship developed so naturally, starting with friendship and slowly growing into something deeper, which made every moment between them feel even more meaningful.

I also really appreciated Anya’s character growth. Watching her slowly reclaim parts of her life and step outside of her comfort zone was emotional and rewarding to read. Even the smallest moments felt important because you could truly see how much strength it took for her.

One thing that surprised me was how much of the story took place outside of the Moretti household. At first I didn’t expect that, but I actually ended up loving it because we still got so much of the family dynamic that makes this series special. Everything still felt interconnected, and I loved seeing how protective and caring the Moretti family continued to be.

And can we talk about Dante for a second??? I’m genuinely obsessed with him. I absolutely loved how accepting he was of Matteo joining the Bratva and how much trust and respect there was between them. Moments like that really showed how deep the bonds between these characters run, and it made me love the family dynamics even more.

ALSO that ending??? The hints for Leon’s book completely sent me over the edge. The buildup already has me freaking out because I just know his story is going to be insane. After finishing this book, I genuinely cannot wait to see what comes next in this series.

ARC review:
Ohhhhh this was so goood!!
Matteo and Anya’s love is so precious! All I want is to wrap them both in a huge hug and be apart of their crazy family.
I loved this book, I loved Anya so much, I felt very protective of her, she’s so soft and sweet yet so strong and determined, and Matteo is so amazing, he’s so patient with everyone and he’s ADORABLE with his niece and nephew, I’ve been waiting to read his book since Hidden Empire and I was not disappointed, both characters grew so much together it’s so beautiful to see 🥲
I adored the side characters, Anya’s father, uncles, aunt and cousin were essential to the story and to Anya’s recovery ❤️‍🩹, they were hilarious and heartwarming (though Matteo might not agree), I especially loved her aunt, she offered the upmost support to both them and I loved her for it.
I loved this book and would recommend it to everyone, although check your TW, this story is full of lovable characters and heartwarming scenes that’ll make your heart ache a bit.

Wow….
Firstly, thank you to the lovely author for the opportunity to be apart of this ARC. I could not wait to finally read Matteo Moretti’s story!

Secondly, i finished this book in 6hrs. I DEVOURED it. I absolutely ADORED every single chapter of this book. Matteo has always been my favourite Moretti and it was so nice to finally see him have a plot of his own, somewhere where he belonged. He was so gentle and patient with Anya given her past trauma and ALWAYS showed up for her. He is the pure definition of a MADE gentleman.

Anya…My beautiful girl. I related so much to her. I went through something similar as her and i found myself relating to her deeply. She showed so much strength, courage and growth, i was cheering her on through every moment. I really hope we get to see more of her and Matteo throughout the other empire books!

K.L Mann did a fantastic job of delivering yet another Moretti empire masterpiece. My girl is out here working OVERTIME publishing these books so fast, she deserves a break! (but also pls give us another book soon). Whatever K.L Mann writes, i will devour.

I’ve been looking forward to this story for a long time, and it did not disappoint.

For me, this story is about healing and redemption. What a journey it was seeing Anya take back her power, this book is written so beautifully and carefully. I love how Matteo sees Anya for who she is and not through the lens of her trauma. Their connection is tender, funny, and grounded, with moments that genuinely made me laugh out loud.

This is a story that deals with heavy themes, but it never feels exploitative or careless. Instead, it is thoughtful, respectful, and intentional. Getting to know the Morozov family was so fun, and it added so much depth to the story. In a genre that’s extremely popular right now, this book still manages to feel fresh and emotionally rich. The characters feel real, their relationships feel earned, and the story lingers long after you finish.

A beautiful, sensitive, and well-written addition to the series. I’m very much looking forward to what comes next.

ARC Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Matteo has been my #1 from the beginning (sorry Cassio), and this book did not change that. The way he was with Anya, or with anyone really, is incredible. 🥰 He is the best person anyone can have in their lives.

I was a little scared of how Anya’s background would be handled but I can 100% say I was not disappointed. The author did a great job at helping us understand without having to add details to what happened, which was refreshing. We don’t need nightmare flashbacks in detail to understand a character’s trauma.

THE MOROZOV FAMILY!! ❤️ I was not expecting to love them as much as I did! Aunt Irina deserves the freaking world and more MCs deserve a character like her.

Thank you so much Kassie for the ARC! Matteo and Anya’s love story was more than I could’ve hoped for and kept wishing it wasn’t ending as fast as it was! I’ve always loved Matteo, but he became even more endearing in this book and had me smiling in the first chapter. I love how Kassie was able to write Anya and her character so well without explicitly discussing her trauma. It takes a really great writer to do that. We still got to see the effects of it and her healing, but nothing triggering to readers. I also love Matteo’s growth in this story and how he became the amazing partner that he is! I am so glad we got so many Moretti and Morozov family moments and I honestly need to reread the rest of the series ASAP! This universe is the best and can’t wait to see what else is coming!
