Yikes! What? That’s my freaking forfeit?

‘Get into a Jessica Rabbit costume. Walk up to a complete stranger that my two best friends have chosen. Ask him out!’

No. Absolutely, no. You both dare to call yourselves my best friends forever?

No, I’m just not doing it. No way. Hell will freeze over first…

And yet, here I am, wearing a Jessica Rabbit costume and sashaying up to a scowling Greek-God-like man.

Calm down, Pippa. Calm down.

It’ll be just a minor humiliation. Obviously, Mr. Perfect will turn me down flat. One look at his charcoal suit and dazzlingly white designer shirt tells me he’s the type to go for super-skinny, high maintenance girls. But that’s fine because he’s not my type either. Too smooth. Plus, I’m totally invested in the project of winning my ex back to care either way.

But to my astonishment Mr Perfect, who turns out to be an American in London, doesn’t turn me down flat.

Instead, he has a very, very interesting proposal for me.

Hmmm… I think I should accept.

I’d like to thank Georgia Le Carre, her team and booksprout for supplying me with an arc copy of this book to read. All comments below are my own. Thank you.

This book for me is a 4.5 ⭐️
Fmc in this book is Pippa, Pippa is still hung up on her ex boyfriend George. Pippa’s best friends have had enough of her moping around after him so they convince Pippa to play a game, when she loses her forfeit is to dress up in her best friends old Halloween costume and ask a stranger on a date.
This is when you meet Rhett, a charming and sweet man, when Pippa asks him out he agrees and is impressed by her confidence. But he has an arrangement he wants her to agree to.

At the start of the book I instantly fell in love with Pippa’s friends and their dynamic, you could tell they had a fun and genuinely loving trio. I did totally agree with her friends on her being hung up on George, she just seemed way too hung up on him and it was slightly annoying especially when she wasn’t at all listening to her friends advice on letting it go.

Rhett however i absolutely loved and i wish i had one of him in my life. He is a charming sweet man that at the beginning you know nothing about other than him being American. Further into the story when Pippa discovers he is actually a billionaire she is surprised, at this point you’d expect some sort of arrogance. Rhett however is nothing like that he is thoughtful and although he lives for his job he is not necessarily money driven and doesn’t exactly care to be a total show off.

When i hit 50% of this book I had found myself really enjoying the tourist adventures of both her hometown of London and his home of New York. Their first spicy encounter was definitely HOT and the build up of sexual tension and angst made the wait so perfect. I loved reading about the connection they were sharing but also weren’t quite ready to admit to each other. The idea of the as a genuine couple was something that made me feel so warm and excited.

The last few chapters left tears in my eyes and a warm cosy feeling in my belly. I was so happy to see a good ending to this crazy journey.
The ending of this book felt like the best way to say goodbye to this story and i believe this will be a couple together always.

4.5 stars is purely because as much as i loved this book and the crazy journey through it just got infuriating with every thought for ages being about George, I understand sometimes that’s how it can be for people but Pippa wasn’t even listening to her own friends and the slightest hint from George made her want to run back. It just seemed a little toxic and he was not at all worth the hype she was giving him.

Overall the book was amazing i thoroughly enjoyed and definitely will reread in the future.

I absolutely adored the opening scene at Mason’s Bar; it’s the kind of rom-com chaos that immediately hooks you in. Lucy and Sandra, Pippa’s long-suffering best friends, have finally reached their limit with her endless post-breakup spiraling over her ex, George. So, Sandra comes up with a brilliant idea: a drinking game with a forfeit so outrageous it simply has to be obeyed. And what a forfeit it is. Pippa must ask a complete stranger out on a date… while dressed as Jessica Rabbit. To her credit, Pippa doesn’t back down, even though she never in a million years expects the stranger to say yes. But say yes, he does. Rhett is instantly enchanted by the confident, leggy Jessica Rabbit lookalike, and just like that, their wildly fun and unexpectedly journey begins. I loved their whirlwind tour of London (later delightfully reciprocated by Rhett in New York) and how effortlessly their connection clicks, as though they’ve known each other forever. Their dates crackle with banter, chemistry, and bubbling feelings they both stubbornly try to ignore. While Pippa’s early fixation on her ex did grate on me at first, it ends up laying the perfect groundwork for Rhett’s irresistible proposal: a fake-dating arrangement where Pippa makes George jealous enough to win him back, and Rhett proves to his ex that he’s very much moved on. Even though we never actually meet George and only hear about him through Pippa, for me there was absolutely no contest. Where George comes across as emotionally frigid, Rhett more than lives up to his Gone with the Wind namesake. He’s charming, attentive, and completely focused on Pippa. Oh, and he’s also ridiculously wealthy, which doesn’t hurt at all. Yet despite being a billionaire, Rhett is refreshingly down-to-earth and none of the arrogant cliché you might expect. I especially loved that Rhett falls first and how determined he is to show Pippa that she deserves so much more than her past relationship. While there’s a touch of spice, it’s the slow-burn romance that truly shines. As Rhett and Pippa spend more time together, the original plan fades into the background, and the sweet twist involving Rhett’s ex-girlfriend was downright adorable. All in all, this was a fun, feel-good romance bursting with heart, humor, and swoon — one that had me smiling for days.

To say this story was highly addictive is an understatement. I DEVOURED this story of Pippa and Rhett and literally couldn't put it down!

Pippa is newly single, and still pining after her ex who dumped her. She is convinced they are soulmates, and it's only a matter of time before they get back together. When Pippa loses spectacularly at a truth game with her friend one night at a bar, her forfeit is to dress up as Jessica Rabbit and ask a man of her friends choosing to go out on a date. With some Dutch courage, Pippa approaches one of the hottest men she's ever seen. She doesn't think the man would accept her offer of a date, until he says yes to it.

Whilst Pippa's Jessica Rabbit stint makes her viral, the handsome man from the bar contacts her and they arrange a place to meet. Rhett (said man) can't seem to get Pippa out of his head. His infatuation with her is unreal and he ends up proposing a deal with her - they fake date so Pippa can make her ex regret ever calling it off with her and Rhett can finally get his clingy ex off his back. It's a win-win situation... Until they start catching feelings and the fake dating doesn't feel so fake after all 🫠

Gahhhh... To watch this story unfold between Rhett and Pippa was just unimaginable. I couldn't help but kick and scream over their ever so cute interactions with one another! 😍

Rhett falls first and hard for Pippa and it's pretty evident he will pull all the stops to win her affection. Rhett was a truly loveable MMC, who just wanted Pippa to realise her worth, and that her ex never deserved her. He was such a simp for Pippa!

Pippa on the other hand is a fun, loving and loyal FMC who seriously just needed to wake up and smell the flowers. She thinks she's broken hearted over her ex, only to discover what true love really means the more time she spends with Rhett.

I also loved how Georgia weaved both London and NYC together and incorporated it into Rhett and Pippa's sight seeing/getting to know each other/dating-but-not dating scenes. The play by play filled with plenty of banter and flirty one liners made my day and I seriously could not adore them more.... And their HEA?!?! MY LIFE IS COMPLETEEE 😭🤧🫠💗🫰🏻.

This is a fabulous read from page one. What happens when your friends take you out drinking to mend your broken heart, get you playing a truth game and if you lose you have to ask a stranger on a date.
Pippa is living with the hope her ex will see sense and come back for her, after all they are soul mates.
Rhett is in London on business and plays along with the obviously drunk girl asking for a date.
What begins as a joke quickly has Rhett all in, all he has to do is win the heart of a girl still determined to win back her ex. In order to keep Pippa in his world he persuades her to come to America with him as his date for a wedding. Rhett has fallen head over heels and is determined to get Pippa to realise what a loser, George the ex is. The resulting dates are loaded with humour, witty banter and some spice mixed in. These two together should be a disaster but as they both catch feelings the original reasons for them being together becomes a distant memory.
This another beautiful story from Georgia that will have you wanting to knock heads together, laugh out loud and watch Pippa finally realise her life could be so much better. Pippa along with her friends are nuts at times and Rhett is pulled in by this crazy girl who just needs to realise her own worth. These two will pull you in, smiling, laughing and despairing. You need Pippa and Rhett in your life.

The American Billionaire is an amazing story. I absolutely devoured it.

Pippa has been dumped by what she considers the love of her life. She goes to a bar with her friends and they play a game of truth. Pippa loses and her friend wants her to dress up in a Jessica Rabbit costume and ask a man for a date. Her friend chooses a very nice looking man so Pippa goes up to him and asks him for a date. She has no idea that he will accept but he does.

Pippa's time at the bar makes her an instant sensation. She agrees to go on the date with the man from the bar, Rhett. Rhett is very attracted to her and can't stop thinking about her. He makes her a deal to fake date her so that Pippa can make her ex jealous and he can make his ex leave him alone. Pippa agrees to the deal. As she starts to get to know Rhett, she sees what a great person he really is.

I loved how Rhett was with Pippa. He was determined to make her fall for him. They had amazing chemistry. This was another great story by this very talented author. I look forward to more.

Pippa is at a bar with her best friends on a mission to have fun. Pippa is mourning the end of her relationship with George, her ex-boyfriend, and determined to get him back. Her friends are determined to get Pippa's mind off of her loser ex-boyfriend and dares her into a Jessica Rabbit costume and to then ask a stranger for a date. Pippa is mortified but approaches Rhett, who is in the bar with his friends, and asks him out and is shocked when he says yes.

Once Pippa and Rhett go on their date she finds out that Rhett is a NY billionaire and charming and he offers to help her in her pursuit to make George jealous. Rhett convinces Pippa to be his date at a wedding in New York and once they begin spending quality time together, sparks fly between them. Rhett has always been attracted to Pippa but he needs Pippa to realize George is not her soul mate and that he could be.

I loved Pippa and Rhett's sexy and romantic journey to love and acceptance. Great read from Georgia Le Carre. Loved it!

The American Billionaire is a saucy contemporary romance that finds its MFC Pippa enjoying a night out with her besties and getting quite inebriated in the process.
It helps to push thoughts of her Ex George out of her mind…maybe.
When bestie Sandra decides they will play a game called truth blitz Pippa starts to get nervous. Needless to say Pippa looses and must pay the price, asking someone in the bar for a date, dressed in a Jessica Rabbit outfit.
Surprisingly she is a hit in the bar and the selected target was an even bigger surprise when he said yes to going on a date with her!
A fun story that was nicely written with delightful characters, as Pippa and the handsome American Rhett Remington discover they have the same little problem with Ex’s and I enjoyed the drama, humor, friendships, passion and spice as they soon come to realize they were meant for each other, and find their way to a perfectly wonderful HEA.

🔹A drunken dare, a Jessica Rabbit dress, and a billionaire who never stood a chance🔹

Rhett arrives in London wrapped in polished suits and billion-dollar confidence. Pippa crashes into his night freshly dumped, slightly tipsy, and dressed as Jessica Rabbit—then asks him out after losing a game of truth. He says yes, and everything changes.

Their fake-dating deal is meant to be easy, make her ex jealous, scare off his clingy ex and enjoy some harmless fun.
Except Rhett falls first—and hard—while Pippa is still healing from a past that never deserved her.
Their chemistry is simmering , the banter sparkles and the tension is delicious.

And when Pippa finally gives in to the undeniable attraction?
The payoff is spicy, swoony, and completely worth the wait.
Rhett is impossible not to love! He’s charming, steady and quietly devoted—showing Pippa her worth one thoughtful moment at a time.

Georgia perfectly balances wit, swoon worthy devotion, slow burn tension and heart, this is fake dating done right!

You'll love this story and it won't take you long to fall in love with Pippa and Rhett.   I found it hard to put down and I read it in one sitting as I couldn't wait to find out how it ends.    Rhett was an American billionaire and a man who knew what he wanted.  And he wanted Pippa the minute he saw her in a Jessica Rabbit dress.  She was mourning being jilted by her boyfriend and determined to win him back.   Rhett encourages her to enter into a plot to make George jealous and then the fun begins.  Their chemistry was off the charts. Touring in England and New York, a high society wedding, an girlfriend (or not), a fake engagement and more. Love at first sight for him and a slow burn for her.   The characters were great and Rhett might just be my newest book boyfriend.  He was so kind and perceptive.    From different parts of the country and different worlds, but soulmates.  An HEA with no cliffhanger,  I read a free arc via Bad Boy Updates and voluntarily chose to review it.

It's bad enough losing a bet, but it's made even worse when your best friends insist that the forfeit is to walk up to a total stranger and ask him out. That doesn't sound too bad, though, but when they insist that you wear a Jessica Rabbit costume, one that shows off far too much, would you do it?

That's the situation Pippa finds herself in following a night on the town with her friends. She's not a showoff, but a bet's a bet, and so...

Rhett is in England for business, when Pippa approaches him, dressed in her costume and asks him out - he's intrigued and attracted and says yes! Thus begins their romantic journey, a journey in which he falls instantly, but she seems hung up on her ex. Can Rhett get Pippa to fall for him? There are some twists and turns I didn't see coming that kept me turning the pages of my Kindle right to the end.

Finding real love by MeemsAngel82

This was a sweet read with two people who met and fell for one another while the h was convinced she belonged to another. This is a full read with detailed characters and the two of them are great together.

She agrees to fake date him and thinks she will win her ex back.

I wasn't into the winning the ex back part, she truly convinced herself so well that this ex is mentioned way too much, even after our pairing gets intimate. She isn't desperate nor silly, she is just an honest girl trying to wade through things. And our H is a honestly good guy. His ex can see he's taken which is part of their agreement but he is on a mission to keep our h right away. I loved that part and again, she doesn't really realize that she's finding the right one so she's not malicious about anything. I give her credit for being honest and this guy was a gem to find as well.

Pippa and her friends are at a bar and her talking about her ex is getting on their nerves so one friend invents a game that Pippa has to play. She ends up losing and the friend makes her wear her costume she wore at the bar to ask a stranger out. A stranger her friend chooses as her date to be. When she comes out i the Jessica rabbit costume every eye is on her and she walks up to the man and asks him out. Rhett is stunned when a gorgeous woman in a costume asks him out and he accepts. Pippa figures even though he got her number she wouldn't hear from him but boy was she wrong. What starts out as him helping her get her ex back quickly turns into something more between them. Will either admit that they want more?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

What would you do if you lost a game and the forfeit was to walk up to a total stranger and ask him out? Wouldn't be so bad unless your best friends made you were a Jessica Rabbit dress that shows off all your assets. You are not a showoff type of person but perhaps this is just what you need and he says yes. This is the start of a good romance where he falls instantly but knows he needs to bring Pippa along. Rhett didn't get where he is by showing all his cards in the beginning. There are a few twists that keep you reading to the end. Good romance.

One little dare, one sexy Jessica Rabbit costume, and gorgeous green eyes ... I'm hooked! Pippa is hung up on her ex and her friends push her into a dare to ask a stranger on a date—enter Rhett. Pippa is witty and smart and everything Rhett is attracted to. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. This fake-dating trope was exactly what I was looking for: the perfect balance of witty humor, embarrassing mishaps, and steamy romance. I absolutely loved everything about this book! Pippa and Rhett are so freaking adorable I was swooning the whole time!

Something very romantic and terrific is about to come your way when you click the read now button. There is no need to not have this character driven romance book in your kindle already. I thought everything was really good. At first this book seemed to take off slow but as I kept on reading all about Rhett and Pippa, they start to have me enjoy reading this book more and more. I also thought the few surprises at the beginning of some of the chapters were cool and unique. That part you will have to find out for yourself what it is because I don't want to ruin the fun surprise you in for.

Rhett and Pippa were a delight to read about. It starts off as a dare and turns into something she never expected with Rhett. When her boyfriend drops her she is upset and when she is propositioned by her friends, she takes them up and it is the beginning of a wonderful journey for them as they find their way together. It is a well written story filled with banter and antics that kept me glued to the pages.

Rhett meets his Scarlett in American Billionaire. Poor Pippa’s friends love her to pieces and do what all good besties do, aside from trying to keep them all from landing in serious trouble, and that means trying to make my friend happy….through blackmail, pranks, and alcohol. Terrifically horrifying but love inspiring. The situation worked out for the best and in spectacular fashion. With a HEA on the flip side it’s an enjoyable read.
