Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that was just released called, Unspooling Honey. This is about Eve, she is divorced and just moved to Tennessee to start her new job as an English professor at the university. Nick is still grieving the loss of his wife and daughter five years ago, trying to keep himself busy with his bees and his horses, just taking life one day at a time. When Nick meets Eve over a coffee shop hot chocolate mix up, something awakens in him that he never thought he'd feel again, hope. Then when Eve finds a mysterious flyer for a house that's for sale and it's exactly what she's been looking for, she buys it. And now to both of their surprise, Eve is Nick's new neighbor. As they spend time together the feelings and the connection between them begins to bloom, but they both have things they need to figure out and work through before the possibility of a future together. But these two finding each other and getting a second chance at love, wasn't by chance at all.
This was such a beautiful story! This felt like a Hallmark movie; sweet, cozy, comforting, and a little bit of magic. The healing and growth for both Nick and Eve was very well written, and then these two learning to open their hearts and find love again was so beautiful. This was such a touching, enjoyable, and heartfelt story! 🤍📚

This was such a beautiful story! This felt like a Hallmark movie; sweet, cozy, comforting, and a little bit of magic. This completes my 2026 Goodreads challenge of 20 books in a year all by different authors. AND....this means that now I can read other books written by some of my favorite authors....or continue to look for new ones :) Note that this is the 4/9 books in my Read Across America self-challenge and the setting is located in the state of Tennessee. Unspooling Honey by Buck Turner is officially my favorite book of his so far.
I absolutely flew through this story and felt all the feels along the way. Buck did a wonderful job creating characters that felt real, a storyline that pulled me in, and emotional moments that stayed with me. As with all of his books, I felt connected to the story and its characters, almost as if I wasn't just reading about their lives but somehow experiencing the journey alongside them.
Living in East Tennessee, I especially loved the way Buck described the changing seasons and weather. Those little details felt so familiar and authentic that they made me smile. And when he referenced the chile magnet from New Mexico, where I'm originally from, I couldn't help but smile at that connection too.
It's those small, meaningful details, combined with characters and stories that make you feel something, that continue to make Buck Turner's books special to me.

There are times were you read a book and it’s good but it don’t speak to your soul. But then there are books that you read that reaches down deep into your soul and touches you and you know you will always remember that story and that’s exactly what Unspooling Honey did for me.
I seriously can’t recommend this one enough. I don’t know how Buck Turner does it but the way he writes fully immerses you into the story. Right off the bat I loved this one because of the setting, a small town in East Tennessee where the pastures are green, horses graze and that honey from the honeybees is sweet as liquid gold. Not only did I love the setting but I was so excited to see the Main Male Character Nick was a saddle builder. My husband is a saddle builder and this just connected me even more to this story.
This story isn’t just oh they fall in love and the end. No this is a journey. A journey of love, loss, trauma, healing, and just a little magic that warms your soul.
If you haven’t read this one I highly recommend you do!

Exceptional moving
I have read several books by Buck Turner and have enjoyed them all. This one stands out evien more. The real life sadness and the hope of new beginning have truly touched my soul. This is every day ups and downs not rich perfect people. That makes it special. I look forward to the next story hoping I won't have to wait for long. Thanks for warming my heart.

Love Story to the End
Love the characters of Eve & Nick, and the setting of them becoming neighbors, then close friends, and then falling in love. The addition of Andi was wonderful, and I would love to have those visitations happen to me. Only a small amount of turmoil and then on to a happy ending. It's a lovely book, and I needed that right now. Now I'm off to find any other Buck Turner books that I may have missed!

Inspiring
This book was phenomenal. He gives insights into things most people don't believe exists or just don't want to hear or talk about. I
found this story to be riveting, but than again, I have loved everyone of Buck's books. He see things with his eyes wide open, and expresses it in a manner, that allows you to become part of the story.

Great as always
Buck Turner grabs you at the beginning of the story and doesn't let go until the end. Beautiful story. Thought I had it figured out but nope. It changed for the better. Waiting for another book soon I hope.

Loved this book! Another wonderful story by Mr. Turner. His books are down to earth and realistic, but also sympathetic, loving and sensitive. He is descriptive in the locations of his stories and his characters. I can't wait to purchase and read another one of his books.

Such a moving and heartwarming story. I’m not gonna lie, there were at least two points in this story that had me question whether I was actually reading a thriller. But no, it’s not a thriller novel 😄. The end of this story had me tearing up with sentimentality and happiness.

If I could describe this book with one word it would be: predictable. I saw this coming from a mile away. I thought of DNFing a couple times but kept going in hopes I was wrong. I wasn't. This wasn't my favorite.
