Auch Band 2 hat mir wieder richtig viel Spaß gemacht! 🖤 Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi bleibt einfach ein unglaublich unterhaltsamer Shonen. Die 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙪𝙨 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙤𝙧 funktioniert für mich einfach total gut. 🙌🏻
Man merkt, dass wir uns 𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙢 𝘼𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙩𝙚 befinden. Wir lernen nach und nach die Welt und die Charaktere besser kennen, aber das fühlt sich nie zäh an oder wie ein riesiger Infodump. Stattdessen entwickelt sich alles ganz natürlich.
Im Mittelpunkt steht diesmal die Grand Cross-Prüfung, durch die wir einige 𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙣. Und ich mochte sie wirklich alle auf Anhieb! Jetzt hoffe ich natürlich, dass wir viele von ihnen auch in den nächsten Bänden wiedersehen.
Man merkt einfach, dass Usui von einem der Besten gelernt hat. Die 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙝, 𝙙𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙠𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙯 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙚ß𝙩.
Mein Favorit bleibt aber ganz klar Tenma. 😝 Von ihm hätte ich ehrlich gesagt gerne noch viel mehr gesehen und hoffe, dass er in Band 3 etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommt. 🖤
Ich bin auch total gespannt, wohin sich die Geschichte noch entwickeln wird. Bisher fühlt es sich an, als würde gerade erst das 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙩 werden, aber genau das macht mich neugierig. Da steckt noch so viel Potenzial drin, und ich freue mich schon darauf, mehr über die Welt, die Charaktere und das große Ganze zu erfahren.

I had such a great time with this volume! 🖤 Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi continues to be such a fun shonen. The 𝙢𝙞𝙭 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙮 is so much fun, and I loved every minute of it. 🙌🏻
It still feels like we're in the early stages of the story. We're definitely still in the "𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚" 𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚, but it never feels slow or like the story is throwing too much information at you. Instead, it keeps building the world naturally, which I really appreciate.
This volume mainly focuses on the Grand Cross Exam, and I honestly loved meeting all the 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨. They all have so much personality, and I'm already hoping they'll become recurring characters. 🫶🏻
You can definitely tell Usui learned from one of the best. The 𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚.
Tenma is still my favorite though. 😝 I'm really hoping he gets more page time in the next volume. 🖤
I'm also really excited to see where this story is going. It feels like 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙙, and there's so much potential for it to become something really special. I can't wait to explore more of the world, learn more about the characters, and finally start seeing the bigger picture.

it’s a little formulaic—but I dig it~

The second volume continues the story of Kyoshi Harai, the ultimate exorcist with debilitating social awkwardness. He’s working on his issues, sort of, by attending high school for the first time at 16. He’s making friends even.
Most of the volume is taken by Kyoshi attending a dangerous test for gaining a higher exorcism class. He’s more afraid of having to meet strangers there than the test, but to his relief, Sosuke Hitsugi from his class at the exorcism school is also attending. The other boy regards Kyoshi his greatest rival, but Kyoshi is oblivious of it. And the two are forced to team up for the test.
This was a great volume with a lot of action and new friends. Kyoshi is determined to protect everyone, even his rivals. And even Hitsugi turns out to be nicer than he wants to be. The ending promises exciting and dangerous times to come for Kyoshi. I’ll definitely read more.

Uuuuuh, im zweiten Band gab’s sehr viel Action! 🔥 Neben ein paar Dämonen ist der Fokus auf der Prüfung zum Grand Cross. Hier tauchen einige neue Charaktere auf, dabei sind auch ein paar ganz interessante, die im Verlauf denke ich auch wieder auftauchen werden, da bin ich schon gespannt! 😄 Es gab wieder einiges zum Schmunzeln, aber auch ein paar ernste Szenen waren dabei, bei denen man sehr mitgefiebert hat! Die einzelnen Personen wachsen einem immer mehr ans Herz und “Cook” fand ich super, haha 🐓 Bin jedenfalls sehr angetan von der Reihe und werd sie wohl auf deutsch weiterverfolgen, denn Egmont bringt sie aktuell auch bei uns raus.

Fun read
Classic shonen done right. The action, character writing, comedy and art are great. The story slowly progresses in this volume. Next one really kicks off the more serious stuff.

Another great volume, i love Kiyoshi and Sosuke’s dynamic together as teammates in the Grand Cross test, they both are just fan boys of eachother while also trying to one up eachother at the same time! The Grand Cross Test was really fun, it was giving me Chunin Exam arc vibes from Naruto.

Toujours bien sympathique à lire, avec de beaux dessins. Cependant, l'examinateur en chef aurait dû réagir lorsque le vieux s'est fait battre par l'exorciste au poulet.
Techniquement il avait gagné il lui a sciemment menti pour le duper.

4.5 stars. This was a fun read. I love how Kiyoshi is strong and seems cool in front of others but he’s actually really kind and innocent. I thought this volume was hilarious with how Kiyoshi was acting with the high schoolers. I also like Sosuke because he acts nonchalant and cool but he’s actually really kind. I still think some of the storyline and themes are a bit cliche but I enjoy it. I also feel like Kiyoshi’s progress is a bit too fast.

sue me but im always gonna love an exam/test arc!! love seeing kiyoshi and him trying to make friends and rivals and allies. i just want him to succeed ok!!!
