Very good volume, lots of fun intrigue and emotional moments. Really love the reveal at the end.

VOLUME 5: CHAPTER 17-20
BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX CHAPTER 17
Konohamaru and his team confronted Matsuri and Ryu. Their mission is to collect the Juubi's thorn bulb. The thorn bulb is the only way to retrieve Moegi and Shinki. According to the intel Shikamaru got, the Juubi is like a new offspring of wild beast. They are not pure evil and act based on their instinct. Konohamaru was assigned to befriend them and betray them. They managed to separate Ryu and Matsuri. Konohamaru knows that Matsuri bears a romantic emotion toward him. He will use the opportunity to accomplish the mission.
In Konoha, Jura buys a book in a bookstore and Shikamaru orders no provocation. In Amado's lab, Kawaki attacks Amado and ask him to draw all his power to the fullest extent.
BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX CHAPTER 18
"Only babble in your sleep" and suddenly Kawaki was collapsed. Amado used the emergency shutdown code on Kawaki. After Kawaki wakes up, Amado agrees to draw all Kawaki's power to the maximum but on one condition. Amado shows his daughter, Akebi's clone. He tried many time to duplicate her soul but he failed. He wants to resurrect Akebi using Kawaki's karma. Akebi might become one of the Ohtsutsuki but Kawaki swear to kill her. Kawaki agrees and promise to help Amado but only after he kill the Shinju, Code and Boruto.
Matsuri called Konohamaru-chan and it's same like Moegi. Konohamaru refused to be called Konohamaru-chan by Matsuri. Ryu is trying to trace Boruto with his iron sand technique. Mitsuki propose to Ryu to use the thorn bulb to lure Boruto out. Yodo trying to get the thorn bulb but she was freezed. Ryu's iron sand coated their body and manipulated it. Araya countered it by using the Load-Stone Sand Sealing Blade.

The Loadstone Sand-Sealing Blade is given by Shinki which it was infused by his chakra. The Araya-Mitsuki-Sarada combo managed to get the upperhand over Ryu. Ryu then summoned the Claw Grimes to counter them. The Claw Grimes managed to take Araya's blade away. Konohamaru is going to be devoured by Matsuri. Jura, Hidari and Mamushi discussed about human's nature called love.

Matsuri realized Konohamaru is dangerous to her. Suddenly, a tears come out from Matsuri eyes. Konohamaru knows deep inside Matsuri didn't want to kill him. Konohamaru ask Matsuri to hold his hand. Because of love, Matsuri wavered over devouring Konohamaru and allowed him to use Oodama Rasengan to her. And because of love, Konohamaru fell over Matsuri who said "Konohamaru-chan". Konohamaru being stabbed and slip his victory away.
Araya and Mitsuki were defeated by Ryu and were held hostage by him. Ryu wants an intel about Boruto to let them free. As they have no any intels about Boruto, Yodo offers herself to help Ryu track Boruto and in return Ryu must let Araya, Mitsuki and Sarada go. Ryu stabbed Yodo and caught Sarada. Suddenly, all the iron sand was sucked upward. Sarada activate her Mangekyou Sharingan.

I hate to admit that I am a bit irritated by this volume.
I can only handle so many high stakes fights that start with an easy killing blow and end with “but look! Someone hesitated! The guy in which the sole mission of this volume was to kill got away because of some moment of pause!”. I mean, this happened in volume 3 man.
Beyond that, this was about to be by far my favorite volume of this series so far. The fight scenes/choreography (and the way the story of the fights are told through the panels is so cohesive yet so unique). The sand ninja have the coldest fits Ive seen, the Boruto kids in general are shaping up to be more likable/compelling than the Shippuden kids, because most of them add actual value to each fight and power scale in ways that make them feel like they have purpose.
Aside from the fun, this volume finally really dug into some morally gray territory for protagonists which I love. The Konohamaru dilemma despite being the bane of my score for this volume, was compelling and fully justified/understandable (just redundant in terms of plot moving in a circle). I genuinely felt bad for these seemingly sweet (and in the least, innocent) divine trees spark some sense of empathy. You convince yourself maybe they don’t need to be destroyed and forget that their entire existence is only a thing because they are taking from someone else. Interesting stuff, Ryu’s “for reals” and stuff really sold that he was this naive child and it sucked to see him have to get fought.

Catching up with the manga. I stand behind it. It's much more advanced in story, consequences, and scale to the rest of the earlier Boruto and Narutos.
It DOES have its faults, but really, it's all a matter of perspective. It's building something big and it still needs to pull off one hell of a hat trick... and at this point, it's a matter of faith for the reader.
That's not to say it won't happen. But if it does? I'm going to be pretty amazed. For now, patience. The Divine Tree needs to grow.

Nothing super crazy but good in general. I've read the previous volume all the way back in January so I had to go back a few chapters to remember what happened. Currently in the Shinki Rescue Arc, our heroes face against these new Juubi beast human hybrid things. One half is dedicated to the fight between Shinki's clone and the other is between Konohamaru and Moegi's clone. The ending has a nice twist though.

Léger mieux avec ce tome moins verbeux où l'action revient, il n'y a pas à dire, c'est plus digeste !
Pourtant sur le fond, on avance peu. Le tome est consacré à la mission visant à circoncire deux des Shinju, Matsuri et Ryu, pour tenter de récupérer le fruit qui les anime et le rendre à leur vrai propriétaire, toujours un ninja qu'ils ont enfermé dans un arbre. Simple, logique. Mais ça ne se passera bien sûr pas comme prévu, et c'est bien sûr dans l'imprévisible que se cache tout le plaisir.
J'ai aimé retrouver la dynamique de base de la série : les missions. Nous avons en plus des seconds couteaux pour une fois, puisque ce sont Sarada, Mitsuki et Konohamaru qui sont envoyés et qui vont s'allier à deux membres du clan de Gaara : Yodo et Araya. En quelques coups de crayon, les dynamiques sont dessinées et pour une fois, c'est efficace. Rien de révolutionnaire sous le soleil mais au moins ça bouge et ça ne parle pas trop. Un décor de western, des personnages à l'arrière qui planifient, et ceux sur le terrain qui lancent le plan. Un plan tordu que j'ai bien aimé, qui est certes très naïf et demande une bonne suspension de crédulité pour croire que Matsuri et Ryu se font se facilement avoir, mais qui au moins crée de l'action quand tout déraille.
Je suis peut-être moins fan de la morale derrière. Je n'aime pas trop la vision ridicule que ça donne de l'amour par exemple. Et dans l'ensemble, je trouve l'ensemble des sentiments brossés de manière fort grossière et caricaturale. Reste une action bien soulignée, elle, dessinée vivement et efficacement, qui claque et sera parfaite pour être animée. L'intervention d'Araya et ce qu'elle souligne est intéressante. Le final avec Sarada est percutant. Peut-être ce personnage va-t-il enfin avoir le développement qu'il mérite. Je reste un peu sur ma faim pour le reste, même si ça se bouge également à Konoha et que Kawaki passe en mode attaque. Mais je reste partagée sur ce personnage, je demande à voir.

Allora questa idea dell’albero che ha preso vita e che ogni pezzo di quest’albero sia alla fine una reincarnazione “cattiva” del personaggio che ha catturato la trovo geniale! Mi è dispiaciuto che konohamaru abbia scoperto in questo modo che la sua amica da sempre fosse innamorata di lui 🤣
In ogni caso Sarada è io mio spirito guida davvero , è diventata proprio una bomba 💣 pronta a combattere ! Mi ha proprio stupita la sua crescita! Super felice di vedere che tanti personaggi e anche nemici sono cresciuti bene in questa saga!

Et voilà, enfin un coup de cœur dans Two Blue Vortex! J'ai adoré ce tome, comme les autres je les ai dévoré. Mais j'ai surtout apprécié le développement de deux des Shinjus: Matsuri et Ryû. On apprend un peu à les connaître et j'ai hâte d'en apprendre plus sur les autres membres. Me voilà à jour sur cette série, plus qu'à attendre la suite et à suivre les tomes un par un. Et j'ai hâte!
