Rate this book
Onyx Pierce is a twenty-four-year-old free spirit. She goes wherever the wind takes her. Having been all over the world, she ends up in Crystal Falls, Michigan to work in her mom’s high end clothing store. To Onyx, it’s like a death sentence because she is not a bird that likes to be caged. However, when she arrives in the town, she is immediately taken by its charm.
It starts when she meets Leigh Craven, a beautiful twenty-two-year-old who has shut a lot of people out from her life. Leigh finds it hard to trust anyone when her life changed four years ago on her eighteenth birthday. But she finds it easy to trust Onyx, the two of them spark a great friendship when they meet.
Pheonix Feywin is sexy, dark, mysterious and commanding anytime he steps in a room. It’s his charm and his nature as Alpha to own the attention anywhere he goes. Pheonix wants to rule like his father did and the ones before him. But he wants to do it without a mate. He wants no part in that at all. Fate, however, has different plans for him. Will he be able to handle it?
Echo Feywin is Pheonix’s younger brother and Beta to the pack. He serves his role with honor and does it well. Echo’s life would be perfect except for the one thing he wants, he cannot get.
Things get worse for the brothers when their pack members are targeted. Someone is trying to destroy them and everything they have spent centuries building. Love, betrayal, hidden truths revealed, and lust all rolled into one book.

Where Is My Mate

I don’t think I can truly put into words how much I enjoyed this book. For a first time writing paranormal, Londyn captured my attention, had my emotions on all the feels and gave education to all the rituals and practices of this world. Clear understanding of why and how things were. Londyn was Sally to me. You couldn’t help but route for these two couples to get it together. Imagine a mate for just you. Not you, Susie, Lucy, and Juicey…just you! IKR! Once they stopped fighting the inevitable, they were unstoppable and just so darn cute and horny. I’m glad they could eliminate all the enemies before the pups were born cause as hot in the paws as they stay, they’ll be plenty more pups right behind to enjoy. They’ll need this down time because Sally said some more were coming for them but they’ll prevail and will all do it together. Londyn and I both love purple, so purple eyes, purple dragon, I’m all for it! Londyn, I’ll be ready next year for sure for another battle. Maybe a mate to read along with me. Great job!

I enjoyed this book for the most part. However it was way too wordy and overly descriptive. Instead of going into major detail about how much water someone drank or every single detail about their outfit I wish the author would have done that with the relationships/couples in the story. It also needs to be edited so many grammatical errors. But if there is a 2nd book I’ll read it

Amazing!

This was a paranormal masterpiece! Reminds me so much of the Legendary L.J. Smith’s writing style of paranormal goodness! Enter into the Land Crystal Falls where everything goes down betrayal, secrets, fated mates, jealousy, possessiveness and just so much action! 🐉 🐺

2.95 ⭐️ ( is that a thing lol)

Not bad for the author’s first paranormal, but there were definitely some bumps along the way. The world building had promise, but the delivery did not hit. I felt like every other chapter was another explanation of shifter lore. It got old quick and did not move the story forward. The beginning dragged because the info-dumping was heavy, and we were not actually learning anything new. Important details about Onyx’s parents and grandparents were kept in the dark until the very end, then everything was thrown at us at lightning speed. Whew. It was a lot. The pacing and structure needed tightening too. I could tell where the author wanted the story to go, but the execution missed the mark. Phoenix and Onyx barely had enough page time together, and when they did, it felt surface level. No real chemistry, no longing, nothing that sold me on them being fated mates. The sex? Definitely not giving “shifter sex.” The external drama with the other pack took over and overshadowed what should have been the heart of the book. Also, both the family lineage and the dragon side of things deserved way more exploration.
Honestly, 249 pages was not enough for everything packed in here. The main couple, the wolf and dragon lore, the pack business… something had to give, and what suffered were the details and emotional beats that make a paranormal romance satisfying. Echo and Leigh? Loved them, but the time they had on-page could have been used to better develop Phoenix and Onyx or the family backstory. They absolutely deserve their own book though. There were some good twists and reveals near the end, but again, rushed. I had to go back and reread a few parts to make sure I got everything.

All of that said, the concept has a lot of potential. Dragons are involved, and I am excited to see where that goes, especially since we only have one left. This is not a terrible start for a first shifter book, you can just definitely tell it is the first. More research and stronger outlining would make the next installment so much better. A full year until book two gives the author plenty of time to level it up, and I will be curious to see how they do.

Pheonix is definitely the alpha

I really enjoyed reading this mythical book. The wolves, dragons etc is different, but I loved it. Onxy didn’t know what she was, but she didn’t play about her mate. She soothed Pheonix. I loved that she came back to town and hit it off Leigh and found her soulmate. Nyko and Rivena were a mess. Her grandparents too. Set their own son up like that. I’m glad Jennifer was finally free of them. Evie did what her true love asked of her. Now, she has a man in Phoenix’s uncle Eric. Shadow pack is the best pack!!! Ready for next spooky season for more!!

I discovered this author recently and was immediately impressed and excited by her work

Blown away by this author's debut into the supernatural! My initial expectations were completely surpassed. The spice level runs a comfortable medium heat—enjoyable but not overwhelming—yet it's the absolutely stellar plot and rich character perspectives that truly shine. This storytelling is over-the-moon superior, and I’m thrilled to support this author, especially as a fellow Detroiter! It’s fantastic "home grown" representation. While this story wraps up without a cliffhanger, the setup suggests a potential series is on the horizon. Fingers crossed she tackles an older couples' story next!

🌟

I absolutely fell in love with Onyx and her Alpha! I was a little worried that they wouldn’t open up and accept the bond but when they did omg 😊😊😊! The twists with Onyx threw me for a loop! I knew something was up with Onyx’s grandparents but I would’ve never even guessed they were that horrible! Phoenix love for Onyx was everything!!! Leigh and Echo’s love was everything as well!!! I love Leigh’s and Onyx’s friendship/sisterhood! Amazing work from Londyn Lenz as always!!!

I enjoyed it

Good read, you got your romance, sexytime, adventure, a little mystery with finding out who killed William, and discovering what she was(mfc). I love some good action, and a jealous throw away(whom is delusional of what her position is). Loved that the mfc wasn't described as weak and drooling when she meet her mate, tongue hanging out hyperventilating. Overall good read.

There's a lot of errors. Misspelling of the character's name multiple times throughout the story or the wrong name being mentioned. They aren't supposed to meet their wolf until they turn 18 but then there's little kids that turn into pups. The romance and fight scenes are all over the place and happen too fast. I did like the back story of her dad and how there are dragons that were introduced. I wanted to like this book so bad, but it needs a lot of editing.

I wanted to rate this higher…..

….but the errors are just too much. They overshadow the storyline. I put the book down twice, but returned because I was intrigued by what Onyz could be. I wanted to know and it drew me back. It was hard to finish. This author HAS to do better. There is no excuse for the editing, writing style and grammatical errors that exist in this book. It’s insane. This story had so much potential.

more like 2.5

I would give this a 2.5 the errors were ridiculous and made some parts confusing. This was an ok read but it was missing something, I just don’t know what besides a better editor. The characters were likeable enough, but I don’t feel like there was any real chemistry btw the two MC. The climax was lacking, and the finally finding out about her real heritage was underwhelming. Idk it was missing something and seems kind of rushed to me. Short read too.

Great first paranormal book

This book was so good for this to be Londyn’s first werewolf book. Can’t wait to read about them next season to see the new things happening and how the family has grown. Love the love they have for each other and was grateful that it didn’t take them a long time to get it together Londyn , you did your big one with this one.

3.5⭐️
the story itself is really good and there r so many big reveals and plots twists that make it very enjoyable. the downside is the world building. the author is creating her own lore which is dope. however, it's almost like reading a grocery list instead of storytelling. it comes off as wordy & boring. this is out of this authors wheelhouse so im too mad about it.

good read.

It was the cover that made me want to read this book. I really enjoyed it. The suspense was there the entire book. I loved the characters and how relatable the book is. I gave it 4 stars because of the grammatical errors. This book is riddled with them. Almost made me want to stop reading but I’m very glad I didn’t.

So good!

This was such a great read! I don’t know how the grandparents were going to turn out, but for this to be your first paranormal, you did really well! I was not expecting her…..shift; for lack of better words and not wanting to give away the twist. I can’t wait to get more from this crew.

sometimes family aint ish (major eye roll)

It was a little slow to start but I think that was just based on other books Ive read and needing to get use to a new author. Once it started to get good…IT GOT GOOD. Phoenix and Onyx…love them. Echo and Leigh…love them. Once we got the back story of Onyx mom and dad, i was pissed off but Im glad justice was served.

OMG, what a great book. At first I was very skeptical about it because it’s not the genre that I usually read about. I don’t really get into wolves and other type of creatures but the book was really good. It still had the appeal of a rich, successful male that takes care of his family. Still very much aggressive.

Slow burn

then it felt rushed. I was confused the first 50 or so pages. I thought I was getting my books mixed up. As long as the next installment doesn’t require you to remember everything about this one I’m good with an annual update.

They call him Sir

This was a really good book to say this was her first paranormal book. I feel he try to stick everything in two hundred and something pages, but it’s Okay 👍🏾 I don’t care for long books over 300 anyways. I’m just salty about his next book not coming out til spooky season 2026 🫩 I could use another dose of phoenix aka sir 🤗
