Meeting a long-lost sister has been amazing, planning a future for her baby is delightful, but dealing with the father of her child and his sudden fear of her job as an extranatural paramedic is annoying.
Her job is dangerous, but she’s damned good at it. Getting clawed up by a senior citizen is just par for the course, but her one-night stand takes offense. He puts wheels in motion that are going to change how she does her job and how soon she ends up on mat leave.
Things in Redbird are complicated, but with new friends and relatives being discovered and a support system appearing out of thin air, if you can survive it, it’s a great place to live.

Way better than part 1
The two parts should have been one book. I have been saddened with Ms Grace’s recent books as the characters’ developments have not been great. I feel as most of the characters are detached from the stories plots and from the other characters as well. I miss the depth her larger novels and older novellas have. It is much easier to develop attachments to the characters and the stories themselves.
