They were told it was consensual. They were wrong.
In Miami, a string of disappearances draws Agents Sylvia Muñoz and Markus Baker into a world that calls itself elite, exclusive, and indulgent. Behind the façade of luxury, something deeply wrong is hiding in plain sight.
Invitations. Tastings. “Harvests.”
The victims don’t resist. They ask for it. They smile. They sign consent forms.
But the deeper the agents go, the more they begin to question everything—about the victims, the perpetrators, and themselves.
Some people want to be devoured. Others are groomed to believe they do.
And when the investigation begins to unravel, Agent April Bishop finds herself chasing an arsonist targeting the same powerful circles with a personal connection that threatens to ignite everything.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
So let me start by saying "OMG, I almost put it down and quit reading it but I'm so glad I kept going!" I've been a fan of Matt's series for a while and I thought idiot him with this one in the beginning but he did exactly what he wanted too! I felt like one of the Navy kids listening to Ethan tell a story, on the edge of my seat feeling like I was there! Great job and can't wait for the next book!!
Stopped on page 524. I have read every other Matt Lincoln Coastal Series Book. ...But this one was way too far out for me. What Robbie and friends were going thru. And that basically was minor to what Sylvia And Partner went thru. The Birn and Marny story, was out there but kinda cute and enjoyable. But you had us reading 400 other pages of some sick shit. I know it will turn out right but not with me. Sorry
Mr.Lincoln has finally done it. I usually find this series entertaining although I couldn't get myself through this one. Next installment will be coming soon enough and I will continue from there. Hope you will take the time to read this one, but for me it was just lacking a story line I could not continue with.
