Recife, governo Geisel. Um homem chega à capital pernambucana. Não sabemos de onde ele vem ou qual é o seu nome. Aos poucos, descobrimos que se chama Marcelo e se hospedará na pensão da adorável Dona Sebastiana. O que vem a seguir descobriremos junto com Marcelo, que foi privado de escrever sua própria história.
Neste roteiro original do filme escolhido para representar nosso país no Oscar 2025, Kleber Mendonça Filho – diretor dos aclamados O som ao redor, Aquarius e Bacurau – nos conduz por uma história de espionagem e ação bem brasileira. Somos guiados por um Recife ao mesmo tempo carnavalesco e sombrio, uma Gotham City tropical onde o absurdo se confunde com o cotidiano. Sem um discurso grandiloquente, e nem por isso menos sofisticado, Kleber nos pergunta de que forma o que vivemos no passado ainda ecoa no presente.
Quem acompanha Kleber desde seus curtas-metragens – como Vinil verde, Eletrodoméstica e Recife frio – ou está conhecendo agora o trabalho desse grande realizador, lerá o roteiro como se participasse de seu processo de criação, se deliciando com o storybard e com as rubricas. Os frames, além das fotos de bastidores e das filmagens, que acompanham o roteiro, aproximam ainda mais o leitor do universo criado pelo cineasta.
O livro reúne, ainda, prefácio de Kleber e posfácio de Wagner Moura, que interpreta o protagonista. O projeto gráfico foi assinado pelo premiado designer Gustavo Piqueira, da Casa Rex.

The Secret Agent has created a kerfuffle among film viewers at the club downtown
I should try and use the successful formula from Goodreads and use a one-line review, or maybe just a couple:
- Those get the most likes
Indeed, the man who was (maybe still is) the number one best reviewer for a multitude of weeks, Jayson, gives it one line
So, after my own 10, or whatever we have up there, let me just say that this was good, I guess, but not overwhelming
You have my take, now I can rumble in the jungle, tell you about the governor: he is a cinephile and we had been talking about movies until some ten or twelve years, when we had this argument in the sauna at the club:
He was saying something about Putin, being provoked by the US to take, Crimea it was not the dictator, it was the West, and when I tried to oppose this, he just said something like ‘pula mea, nu am ce sa vorbesc’, words to the effect of shut up, I am not interested and so we stayed in a cold war for maybe ten years
We are now friends, back again, though he has this opposite view – he is the only one I talk to, who seems supportive of the Orange Fool – he said Greenland is a chess move, and the Orange Mobster is ‘just a photo’, meaning there is a cabal, a conspiracy that pulls the strings, controls the guy, except he is beyond control, even he has no check on his words, actions
Back to The Secret Service – the governor said ‘pula mea, what film is this…I didn’t’ understand anything, my wife did not get it’, and I must say that I have not been ecstatic, I also thought the motion picture rather long, did not appreciate Wagner Moura as better then Ethan Hawke, indeed, I would give the Oscar to the latter

Now for my standard closing of the note with a question, and invitation – I am on Goodreads as Realini Ionescu, at least for the moment, if I keep on expressing my views on Orange Woland aka TACO, it may be a short-lived presence
Also, maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/20... – as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the benefits from it, other than the exercise per se
There is also the small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me know

li o roteiro depois de ter assistido ao filme e foi muito bacana conhecer o texto de kleber. recomendo demais a leitura! o livro tem fotos lindas e um posfácio escrito pelo wagner que é sensacional.

January 15, 2026MUITO interessante mergulhar no processo desse filme que é uma AULA de cinema. no fim, esse livro acaba sendo também uma aula de roteiro
foi fascinante e muito rico ver, por exemplo, o que mudou até o filme, a maioria no que diz respeito aos diálogos, o que me faz pensar que o kleber construiu muito do roteiro a partir dos atores que eram escolhidos pra cada papel, refinando falas e criando situações diferentes inspirado pelo contato com eles
maravilhoso ver ainda como escreve um roteirista que também vai dirigir o filme. em diversos pontos ele já sinaliza quais movimentos de câmera quer usar, sugere composições, e em outros deixa mais vago, mas com uma visão muito clara, só esperando o momento de materializar no set e no filme em si
amo muito tudo relacionado ao agente secreto, foi um dos melhores filmes que vi em 2025 e agora fico muito feliz que essa foi minha primeira leitura de 2026

Tão enriquecedor ouvir as vozes de Kléber e Wagner falar sobre o filme e seu contexto, e tão fantástico poder ver as evoluções contidas nas diferenças do roteiro para o filme. Uma jóia do cinema brasileiro.

Muito foda. Ainda não pude ver o filme mas já to ansiosa, e gostei muito do prefácio e do pós facio faz a gente entender muito melhor a obra no seu contexto como um todo.
