Will turbulent, wind-borne secrets find their way back to shore? Or is the truth forever lost in the unforgiving sea of time, assumptions, and the ultimate cost of unwavering family loyalties? Soon after her grandfather’s passing, but with undeniable apprehension, Samira returns to Beaufort to help put his affairs in order. She hasn’t been to the coastal town in years, despite it being where she spent most summers and holidays during her youth.
Pappy’s home reawakens sweet memories. However, her time here is also intertwined with past traumas she has yet to address. Going through the old man’s belongings, Samira soon realizes she’s not the only one who experienced hardship in this picturesque town. Strange encounters, cryptic discoveries, and historical facts surrounding an unsolved case in Beaufort soon cast a shadow on the grandfather she thought she knew and with whom she always had a strong bond.
Faced with an ultimatum, Samira seeks the truth, which will force her to dig deep and confront her own past.
A cozy “whodunit”, this fast-paced family drama will have you itching to find out what happens next … but more importantly … if the truth about the town’s unsolved mystery will ever see the light of day!
