When the infamous Pirate Lord, Kai Eldoris, crosses paths with Mira—a fierce young captain hiding a dangerous secret—an ancient tension between land and sea ignites.
Haunted waters, cursed maps, and ghostly ships pull them together, even as rivalry deepens into something neither can resist. But what begins as a clash of wills soon unravels a deadly secret that binds them in ways more treacherous than the ocean itself.
Mira must confront the truth of her heritage, while Kai is forced to face a legacy of magic darker than he ever imagined. Together, they must navigate betrayal, desire, and the pull of fate—or risk losing not only their worlds, but each other.
Allie Belle writes stories for readers who crave dark seas, impossible love, and morally grey pirates with dangerous smiles. Her debut novel, Sirens Cove, is the first in The Sirenborne Chronicles, a fantasy romance series filled with fierce heroines, haunted seas, and love stories that run as deep as the ocean.
Originally from California, Allie has lived most of her life by the coast, where the salt air and ocean mist continue to inspire her writing.
As an author with ADHD and dyslexia, Allie writes for minds that move quickly, feel deeply, and see the world a little differently. She believes these are not disabilities, but creative superpowers—and her stories are crafted to be immersive, emotionally rich, and impossible to put down.
When she’s not lost in her fictional worlds, she’s usually re-reading her favorite fantasy romances, exploring new coffee shops, or dreaming of stormy horizons (and morally grey pirates).
this was my first pirate fantasy book, and i enjoyed every second of it. it had beautiful imagery and words to describe the setting of the book. i loved mira and kai, their tension and the fruition of the relationship was very beautiful! the world building is unique in its own way in the coastal waters and made its mark. i am looking forward to reading book 2 in the series.
thank you to the author for giving me the opportunity to read the eARC.
First time entering the world of pirates and sirens, and I gotta say, I hooked. I have a hard time with long series sometimes because they can be slow to start, that is not the case here. There was a lot of action and tension that kept the plot constantly moving forward. The sea monsters were so cool and I think I’m obsessed with pirates now. Also, I’m gonna need the next book stat because baby that’s a cliff hanger!!!!
Thank you so much for allowing me to read your book Allie! You had me at pirates and I wasn't disappointed! Add all manners of sea creatures like sirens, mermaids, witches and monsters and you have a winner. Two rival Pirate captains find how the tides and the seas shape them both personally and through their connection. The story is fast paced and moves along nicely, and Mira and Kai are amazing. The last chapters were chaos in the best way, I'm so keen to know what, happens now!
What an incredible debut novel. This is the perfect pirate x siren romantasy with an intriguing magic system, a MMC who * yeaaarns *, a fearless FMC and dark secrets that lurk beneath the surface. The ending had me in tears and already so ready for book 2. This was an incredible set up to a new world and a series I just know I will be continuing. Thank you so much for the arc and chance to read this amazing story. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Mira & Kai.
I am halfway through this amazing book and I just don't want it to end. Chapter 11 was absolutely riveting. You can feel the characters emotions rise up and down just like the waves that carry them. Kai is so dreamy and unsettled. Mira is mysterious and beautiful. Neressa keeps you spellbound. Awaiting her next move. I'm so excited to meet the other characters on this fabulous journey.
This book is truly unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It’s the perfect blend of magic, power, yearning, love, pain, and heartbreak. I became completely immersed in the world, unable to put it down. Allie’s vivid imagery makes every scene feel like a movie playing in your mind. The depth of emotion I felt while reading is a true testament to how powerful and beautifully written this story is. I can’t recommend it enough ❤️🔥
𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮 Sirens Cove is a pirate fantasy romance set in a dangerous, magic-filled world where the sea is just as deadly as the people sailing it. The story follows Mira, a fierce pirate captain with a mysterious connection to siren magic, and Kai, a feared and powerful Pirate Lord with a dark reputation. When their paths collide, old grudges, curses, and dangerous secrets force them into close quarters, blurring the line between enemy and ally as the stakes continue to rise.
𝙈𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 First off, I want to thank you, Allie, for having me as part of your ARC reader team 🖤
Listen—if it has pirates, I’m in. Whether it’s movies or books, I need more pirates in my life! So it’s safe to say I couldn’t be happier when I got the chance to read this book 😃
I really enjoyed this book and was fully pulled in by the atmosphere from the start. The ocean felt alive and threatening, and the pirate setting mixed with sirens and dark magic gave the story such strong vibes. It genuinely made me feel like I was sailing the high seas myself!
Mira was a great main character — strong, capable, and determined without feeling overdone. Kai brought exactly what I want from a morally gray pirate love interest: intimidating, guarded, and surprisingly layered. Their dynamic was fun and tense, and I loved the banter and underlying distrust between them.
That said, I personally love a slower-burn romance, and this one developed a bit faster than my preference. The chemistry was definitely there and I enjoyed their relationship, but I would have loved more time sitting in the tension before things shifted. Because of that, this ended up being a 4.5-star read instead of a full five for me.
Overall, Sirens Cove was a really solid start to a series with immersive worldbuilding, strong characters, and plenty of high-stakes adventure. If you enjoy pirate fantasy with romance and dark ocean magic, this one is definitely worth checking out!
On an extra note: Allie, you should be very proud of yourself and what you’ve achieved with this book! 🖤
📖 Read this if you like:
• Pirate fantasy • Dark ocean / sea magic • Sirens & curses • Fated mates • Forced proximity • Morally gray love interest
Mira is the captain of an infamous and magical pirate ship named The Siren which ironically is also the name of the creature that killed her father. She is at odds with another young captain named Kai Eldoris, one of the few humans who is naturally gifted with magic, both in search of the same treasure; the fountain of wishes. Sworn to be enemies because of their families feud. The two unlikely allies find themselves forced to partner up in order to achieve their mutual quest. But soon they’ll learn that they are bound by more than just their intended destination.
Pirates of the Caribbean vibes with an island designated to pirates and a kingdom where they are viewed as the enemy and hanged. I have a deep love for the Pirates movies so this book made my heart so happy! Between Mira and Neressa, the women in this book are a powerhouse! The fact that this was a debut novel blew my mind because the writing was so descriptive. The story is one that feels both familiar, due to where the inspiration came from, yet totally new and original at the same time. It for sure has its own legs to stand on.
When I say this book has everything I mean EVERYTHING! Magic, a quest, magical creatures, rivaling captains, hidden identity/self discovery, sentient ships, mystery and a sweeping romance. He is OBSESSED with her and would literally burn the world down just to keep her safe. I’m a sucker for a good pet name and when Kai calls Mira treasure…. Consider me undone!
I wish we learned more about the siren and what makes her so magical. Or the lore of how it was crafted. And more on Kai’s magic.
This was such a good time and I know that so many others will fall in love with this story of high stakes and romance.
I received this as an ARC and I’m so thankful to be able to share! Allie Belle has created a vibrant, enchanting world of love on the sea.
Kai was the perfect balance of Pirate Lord and Hero.
✨“A predator playing dress-up as a king.”
✨“Whatever is left of me, the part of me that loved, that hoped, that believed, sank with her. I’m not the same man anymore. I don’t want peace of survival. I want revenge.”
Can someone say Rowan circa Empire of Storms??
I also loved the description of the sea, it was almost its own character and found its way into every aspect of the book.
✨”The sea looks alive, whispering secrets into the night. If those whispers could speak, the stories they’d tell would be worth more than gold.”
✨”Those hazel eyes, flickering between green-gold and stormy brown, like the ocean deciding whether to drown or spare.”
And Mira, a great balance between strong and soft, with the same badass moments that make me adore her.
✨”Mira stands amid the smoke, pistol ready, sunlight spilling through her dark curls like fire caught in motion. Her emerald eyes are narrow, shining like sea glass in water. She holds the gun with lazy precision, like it’s part of her. The wasn’t luck. It was art. And gods help me, I can’t look away.”
And of course, the love!
✨”She is the breath in your lungs? The hush of moonlight and the gleam of stars? She is the weight of gold and the warmth of flame?”
✨”When salt met skin and the stars carved fate into our bones. We weren’t just chosen. We were born to be this. Two souls made from the same storm, split into two bodies. Bound by something deeper than blood, deeper than magic.”
Mira is a fantastic FMC—fierce, brave, loyal, and full of surprises. She’s the kind of character you’d follow anywhere. Kai, our MMC, is everything I want in a pirate: broad, handsome, dangerous, and covered in tattoos. Together, they complement each other perfectly, and watching them fall in love was a highlight of the story.
The slow burn romance is absolutely beautiful. Seeing Mira and Kai deny their feelings while clearly falling for each other made their relationship feel natural and deeply satisfying.
The plot is immersive and engaging, with strong Pirates of the Caribbean vibes—magic, ocean creatures, dark elements, and rich lore. I was hooked from the very beginning, and while some moments became predictable, I was pleasantly surprised overall, especially for a debut novel.
I also appreciated the depth hinted at in their parents’ histories; there’s clearly more to uncover, and I’d love to learn more in future books. The magic, the ocean, the creatures, and the child from two worlds felt fresh and different from anything I’ve read before.
My main critiques are that some secrets were revealed too early, and a few tasks and missions felt a bit too easy. The ending was good, though somewhat a little bit predictable.
Overall, I loved Kai and Mira’s love story, the tension, the betrayal, and the worldbuilding. I couldn’t think of a better book to start my 2026 with.
Okay buckle up guys because you have just found your new favorite pirate fantasy! This was such an amazing debut book, the writing was smooth, the characters felt so real, and the emotions were THERE! I truly felt like I was in the shoes of each character, feeling what they were feeling, seeing what they were seeing, the details of each scene were absolute PERFECTION and really enabled me to fully submerge into the storyline!
Characters: Mira- so Mira is our FMC that inherited her fathers ship “The Siren” along with his legacy and his journey to find the legendary Fountain of Wishes. Being a female captain is no easy task, and what she doesn’t know is that she is about to discover secrets about herself that will change her life forever…
Kai- MY KAIIIIIII😩 so Kai is our INCREDIBLE MMC that inherited his fathers legacy to find the legendary Fountain of Wishes upon his ship “The Leviathan.” Kai is a powerful and feared captain that has earned his name with blood and sweat, what he doesn’t know is that all it will take to bring him to his knees is a small female captain who is fighting against him to find the Fountain first…
Neressa - Quite literally the most BADASS character so far (even though we only see her in glimpses through this book) honestly… you’ll have to read this book and discover Neressa yourself🤭
Pls go read this book, it’s action-packed, enemies-to-lovers, pirates, ancient curses, and so much more!
Thank you so so much to Allie for sending me an arc of this story!!!! 🫶
In this story we follow Mira Bleu and Kai Eldoris who are pirate captains of rival ships. Kai’s father murdered Mira’s mother when she was young and she swears to get her revenge. However, when the Captaisn realise they seek the same treasure, the fountain, they realise working together may be more beneficial.
I adored the setting for this story, I have read very few pirate books and I had so much fun! The quest that Mira and Kai were on was super interesting and I felt the story flowed brilliantly from conflict to conflict.
Unfortunately the romance aspect moved a little too quickly for me. I felt that Kai and Mira developed feelings extremely quickly which confused me due to their supposed hatred. When Kai and Mira were together I LOVED IT! Allie’s romantic writing was beautiful and the connection and chesnitry between the two characters was palpable, I just felt it jumped into it too quickly.
I would have liked a little more depth into Kai’s magic as I forgot he had it at times, but I think this may be explored more in book two!!
Siren’s Cove was an immersive pirate / siren story that I got swept up in!!
Sirens Cove is the debut novel by Allie Belle and first in the Sirenborne Chronicles. If you enjoy fast-paced, high seas adventure with a strong romantic plot and all the creatures of the deep like sirens, mermaids and witches vying for power this is for you.
The beautifully descriptive writing paints a vivid picture of the high seas setting and the variety of creatures in its depths. The author has created ocean dwelling creatures both beautiful and terrifying and I enjoyed learning about the different creatures and their lore.
This tale has a character-driven plot and was very concentrated on main characters Mira and Kai, written in dual POV. One of my favorite tropes, enemies to lovers features, but very quickly evolves into a fated bond. Usually I prefer a slower burn to build the tension and chemistry but Kais devotion and 'touch her and die' vibes more than make up for the fast relationship growth. I do wish I'd learnt a little more about some of the side characters, which would have made some key scenes hit just a little harder.
Overall a captivating, action-packed debut romantasy and with an ending like that I predict rough seas ahead for Kai and Mira. I'm really looking forward to everything that comes next from Allie Belle and this series.
First things first, I’d like to thank Allie for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader! So incredibly grateful 🖤✨🏴☠️
Where do I even begin?! Allie Belle’s debut novel is a knockout, and I am already counting down the minutes until I can continue this series. This high-fantasy romance delivers on every front; love, loyalty, friendship, and vengeance. It’s woven together in a rich, immersive pirate world that leaves you wanting more.
Allie’s first-person storytelling is her superpower. From the very first page, she pulls you straight into the heart of the story, making the world feel vivid, dangerous, and alive. I could see the ships, the characters, I could feel the tension, and live inside every moment.
Kai and Mira’s enemies-to-lovers arc is paced beautifully. Slow, intentional, and emotionally charged. Their relationship unfolds with just the right amount of friction and longing, making every interaction feel earned. Allie’s prose is poetic without being heavy, and her voice is confident, compelling, and unmistakably her own.
This is an incredible debut, and I cannot wait for readers to experience this story and fall in love with it the way I did!
Sirens Cove is Allie Belle's debut novel and let me tell you I am already excited for what comes next!
The world she builds is so immersive, and the pirate fantasy was so nostalgic (especially as someone who grew up loving Pirates of the Caribbean).
This is a character driven story and the characters are so well developed. Mira is our FMC, a pirate captain and fierce one at that. Kai is our pirate lord and in true pirate fashion he is completely swoon worthy!
The two are enemies, sailing the seas for the same treasure, when they are thrust together through no choice of their own. There's mystery, secrets, betrayals, all the things you want from an adventure packed pirate fantasy.
As the name suggests, we have Sirens as well as other legendary sea creatures. There's lost treasure thought to be myth, there's magic and absolute mayhem. And an ending that will take you on an absolute rollercoaster of emotions.
For a debut novel this was fantastic and I already can't wait for book 2. I just know it's going to be amazing (and I also need so many answers!! 😂). Sirens Cove is releasing on January 20th and definitely deserves a spot on your tbr!
This book is a beautifully written, wildly original story that hooked me from page one. The worldbuilding is rich, the magic feels fresh, and the author’s creativity shines in every detail…but Mira and Kai completely stole the show.
Their relationship is **chef’s kiss**. What starts as pure enemies energy (the tension! the banter!) slowly melts into something pure, passionate, and soul-deep. Watching them go from sharp words and mistrust to having an undeniable connection was addictive. The slow burn is done so well, and every interaction crackles with chemistry 🔥
The emotions hit hard, the growing conflict keeps you turning pages, and the writing is so vivid you can practically taste the salt in the air. Haunted waters, dangerous magic, yearning, fate…it’s all woven together beautifully.
A stunning, imaginative, slightly unhinged (in the best way) read that proves the author knows exactly how to build a world, break your heart a little, and make you fall in love along the way. 🏴☠️✨💙📖
4.5 ⭐️ This fantastical romantasy is full of swashbuckling adventure and swoon worthy romance! The beginning is geared towards readers who have ADHD, meaning it’s a VERY fast plot. It may seem like an insta love situation but I think because of the authors background with ADHD and dyslexia she wanted readers who were similar to herself to be able to fully immerse themselves in this epic world. it has no shortage of: 🏴☠️world building 🏴☠️fantastical creatures (sirens, sea monsters, mermaids and more) 🏴☠️pirates 🏴☠️swoon worthy romance that will leave you hanging on to every word
The story follows our FMC Mira and our MMC Kai. the romance is ROMANCING let me tell you. at first thought to be enemies this pair quickly realizes they need each other in more ways than one. As they embark on a journey full of mystery, they quickly realize they are the balance the other needed. I can’t recommend this chilling tale enough, especially for fans of pirates of the caribbean!!
came back and gave it 5⭐️ bc i’ve been thinking abt it since i finished it🫠

“Magic runs through our world like water, twisting everything it touches, bleeding into cracks it was never meant to fill.” -to give a taste of the magic system
“…I’m drowning in her. Not in her beauty, though gods, that would be enough, but in the way she looks at me.” -the yearning 🩵🩵
This book has everything I love: romance, yearning, battle, and a morally gray MMC—plus all my favorite tropes. We’re talking enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and yes… only one bed.
I don’t want to give any spoilers, but the magic system is genuinely fun and imaginative, and as a mermaid and pirate fanatic, this story checked every single box for me. The tension is delicious, the emotional pull is strong, and I’m already so invested in where this series is going next.
If you love fantasy with swoon, danger, and a little saltwater magic, this one is absolutely worth picking up. 🧜♀️
I'm not sure where to start with attempting to put this debut novel into words, but I loved every line!
From the first pages, I felt fully immersed in a descriptive paradise, with every single corner of the canvas coming alive. I honestly felt like I could see, feel, hear & smell every moment we were whisked through.
As for the plot, it is a fast paced, quickly evolving adventure where every chapter brings a new puzzle piece - full of surprises and no chapter a struggle to finish! There are epic builds & blindsiding heartbreaks - I found myself stealing a few pages at a time on the tube, on the bus, wherever I could!
Overall, this feels like an intense, burning romance with an ever growing cliffhanger, that has me both excited and afraid for what's to come (iykyk)
Thanks so much for letting me in on your ARC community!
Huge, HUGE fan of this book. It has mythical creatures that are not cliche and a beautiful understanding of life at sea.
I love how descriptive this book is, not as much dialogue as you see with other books. With the way it is written, you don’t need all the dialogue, there is plenty of inner monologue. I enjoy reading books where I can truly picture what is going on and this has it.
Kai and Mira are destined for each other. The plot twist of Taika being Kai’s mother is a crazy twist I wasn’t expecting. I can’t wait to read the next book and see more on the magic of The Siren and how they save Mira after Anya and Sirena took her. I’m sure Kai is about to go batsh** crazy and I’m here for it.
Beautiful book, I cannot wait for the next one.

First things first. WOW!!!!!! I read this as an ARC read and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to. Allie Belle captivated me with this book in just a few short chapters until I was hooked. There was so much covered in 38 chapters but it didn't feel "overkill", it was the perfect amount. Seeing Mira & Kal's enemies-to-lovers story unfold through each chapter was so entertaining, let alone the fact they were falling in love while having to deal with a WHOLE BUNCH OF CHAOS such as witches, sirens, dark magic kappas', and more. As someone obsessed with mermaids/ sirens, I COULD NOT put this book down. The ending had me flabbergasted and I already can't wait for book 2 of the series!!!

thank you to Allie for the ARC in exchange for a review🥰
following Mira and Kai through the beginning of their story felt straight out a pirate fairytale. it has to be noted that the writing style formed a movie in my head and i could vividly picture every aspect of this universe (the detail was perfect)!
the story was fast-paced while also following a consistent timeline (never jumping around chaotically) and i adored every second of it.
that ending!?!?! i can’t wait to see where we go in the second one
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sirens Cove completely swept me away. From the very first chapter, I was hooked by the dark, ocean-soaked atmosphere and the tension between the characters. The world-building is immersive, the romance is intense and slow-burning, and the stakes feel real the entire time.
Mira is a fierce, complex FMC, and Kai is the kind of morally grey pirate you can’t help but obsess over. The story blends mythology, danger, and emotion beautifully, and I couldn’t put it down. If you love pirates, sirens, enemies-to-lovers, and powerful female leads, this book is absolutely for you.
This book is perfect for lovers of The Daughter of the Pirate King and Pirates of the Caribbean. Fast paced, tense, full of magic and love, this is a fun pirate romantasy that will suck you in from the start. Mira and Kai are sworn enemies by their fathers, but fate throws them together. Their journey to find the mystical Fountain is tough and sacrifices are made, but they find something important along the way. As a debut novel to the start of a series, Sirens Cove is good! I do wish that maybe some things were more expanded on in the plot but I will definitely be reading on in the series!
Where do I begin!! I had the pleasure of receiving this as an ARC! I devoured this amazing tale about two pirates, Mira and Kai, enemies to so much more. As I read, I felt like I was sailing the high seas searching for clues, just like the pirates! I enjoyed the descriptions of the sea creatures, and how the ocean was alive! My favorite thing was the undying love that Kai had for Mira, his treasure. Also, thank you Allie for note at the end. ADHD isn’t always easy, especially when it comes to reading. I absolutely loved your tale and can’t wait to see where it goes!
