The narration of this book was a lot of fun, Cassie did a wonderful job embodying the souls of the characters. I think she chose the perfect voice for our two main protagonists!
This book was a little slower for me out of the three in the series. It took a while for me to get invested, but that didn’t mean I didn’t love the characters. I think the main relationship between the protagonists was endearing and the growing chemistry was really well done!
Extraction remains my favorite in the series but I really enjoyed how the lore and land in this book plays off the established cannon I fell in love with in Extraction.
No spoilers but the ending of this book was the first ending in the series that had me engaged and really sad the book is written as a technical standalone. I think by the ending I was the most invested in the main characters’ journeys out of any character in the series!
Personally, as well, I really loved Jana. I could really identify and connect with her!
