The Gathering: Blasius, Dante and Moira

Rate this book

You are cordially invited to the event of the season...

Please be our guest as the National Association of the Lycan Brotherhood hosts the seventy-eighth annual Gathering. The biggest event of the social season, the Gathering has become the favorite method of networking among packs and bringing together fated mates. At the Gathering, shifters from across the country show up to show off and to see who’s the true leader of the pack.

The final party of the weekend is a time to relax and enjoy the company of your fellow shifters. As the Gathering draws to a close, NALB President Blasius and his longtime mate Dante finally find the woman destined to complete their triad. Moira O’Shea is thrilled that her brother and friends have found their mates, but jealousy has a way of undermining even the happiest of times. When the three fated lovers finally meet, Blasius and Dante have to convince an uncertain Moira of their desire to include her in every aspect of their relationship.

Come and enjoy tales from the biggest shifter event of the year as wolves from around the country fall in lust, in love, and in fate at the Gathering.

Each Gathering Tale is a stand-alone short romance, though reading them in order introduces characters as the author intended.

A storyteller from the time she could talk, USA Today bestselling author Ellis Leigh grew up among family legends of hauntings, psychics, and love spanning decades. Those stories didn’t always have the happiest of endings, so they inspired her to write about real life, real love, and the difficulties therein. From farmers to werewolves, store clerks to witches—if there’s love to be found, she’ll write about it. Ellis lives in the Chicago area with her husband, daughters, and a German Shepherd that refuses to leave her side.

Short but awesome read. Hot steamy read about Blaze, Dante and Moira.

Two is not enough

This might be my favorite book of the series. I love how the author wrote these two strong alphas who aren’t afraid to show their love for each other and the mate they have been waiting so long for. I am so glad Moria found her mates, she kind of held her pack together and embraced everyone else’s mates as soon as they found them. I can’t wait to read the last book in this series to see what happens next.

Gah, gah and once again - GAH!!!

And now to a more coherent review:
Once again, the lovely beyond words Ellis Leigh sent me (and some more pretty awesome ladies) an advance copy of The Gathering short story. This time, we’re getting some fantastic pairing, only it’s not a pairing. It’s a TRIAD!

We always want to see out leader happy, right? Especially when our leader is gorgeous, and already has a mate. This leader, though, the NALB leader, is part of an incomplete triad.

Blasius and Dante have been living and loving for the past 500 years. Yikes. That’s a long time in my book, and when you live in bliss, yet feel like something’s missing… I can only imagine it’s like living so happily you’ll burst, but feeling like you’re on the edge of a blade, about to fall, get sliced, never feeling 100% whole.

And then Alpha female, Moira O’Shea shows up to a party. LOL

I’ll be honest, I wanted Moira to enter a triad with Winslow (Kalie’s intended mate, if you remember) and his other mate. But Ellis had other plans for her. And I like her plans a LOT. Good thing is? I pretty much guaranteed I’ll get a Winslow HEA, too. Win-Win. HA!

Anyway, back to this triad – there’s jealousy, there’s hotness, there’s instant heat and wonderful emotion. But the three of them together… OHMAIGAWDNESS. I said at first Gah, gah and more GAH! And I stick by it.

As in the first The Gathering, plot is not the strongest side in this story, but there’s an idea there, and Ellis Leigh carries it out fantastically. We get a glance of the triads in the Feral Breed world.

Ellis, please do me a favor and have these bitty stories printed in the back of the next next Feral Breed installment. I need them in print. Kthanxbai.

Shifters are hot, yo!

** My eternal thanks to Ellis for her friendship and this copy **

I admit and say that the only reason for me reading this book was because I had read the Feral Breeds MC series and wanted to know how Moira, Dante and Blaze got together. While that was answered, I still felt as if the it was too short and would have liked to read more. I understand that yes, the story does continue in book 4 but I am sorry to say that I wont be making the purchase. As far as an erotic short, this book was packed full of heat. Overall, ok read.

This part of the story follows Moira O'Shea in her quest at the gathering to find her mate. But when she spots her mate from across the room on the last night of the gathering it's not the situation she ever imagined for her life. You will love this story and it is full of hot steamy lust.

The Gathering: Blasius, Dante and Moira(The Gathering Tales #3)
by Ellis Leigh
I bought this book from amazon.
I am so loving this serial series. I am kinda sad there is only 1 left in the boxed set I purchased.
This book we finally get to see Blaze again. WE met the president of the gathering in Gideon’s book. He and his mate Dante have been mated happily for over 500 years but it seems they are destined to be a triad and they haven’t found the 3rd part to complete them.
Moira is sad and happy. She is happy so many in her pack have found their mates but because she has taken on the main alpha role to let Killian and his new mate get to know each other, she is left mateless again.
Moira says screw it one the last night and decided to go to the end of the gathering party. She is is annoyed that yet again she is left dealing with a DB alpha but she can FEEL her mate…..she sees two men but is confused. Which one is her fated. After a mix up and even more heart break Moira goes back to her room to sulk. Little does she know tomorrow’s meeting will change her life!!
The trio are a hot read but we feel for Blaze and his worries and concerns. I am looking forward to the last book which is actually more of these characters.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Sigh. I'm so sad that this was the last installment of The Gathering, at least for a while. I'm hoping that we'll get some more later. This installment was just as great as the other two, and just as great as the Feral Breed books. I'm completely in love with both series. In this installment, Moira, the sister of Alpha O'Shea from the first Gathering book, is jealous that six pack members found their mates, but she hasn't found her mate by the party on the last evening of the Gathering. After having to listen to Gideon and Kalie celebrate for a few minutes, she decides to go down to the last hurrah in the ballroom. While she's there, she notices two men watching her and can feel the mating pull toward one of them, but she can't figure out which one. After Moira has an altercation with the Oily Jerk (I've downgraded his name for the sake of my review being public) that was Lyra's Alpha, the two men have disappeared. She finds out the next day during a meeting with the NALB President that she is the third to his, Blasius, and Dante's triad. The rest, as they don't say, is a story so worth reading for anyone with an open mind toward polyamoury lifestyle. If you can't handle menege, skip this one.

Hmmm...I have no idea how to review this one. I sort of liked it, I liked the characters as individuals, but once they all got together, I couldn't help but feel the story was a check off a list item...Ménage, check. I mean, we had it all so far, except a threesome. How convenient that the heroine had some experience in the "field." (◔_◔)

I don't like ménage stories on a principle. I don't understand them. I'm not a sharing type of gal. If the guy's mine, I ain't sharing, so I don't get the whole sharing thing. I also don't get why does it always (at least in those stories I've read) have to be two guys on one girl. What about girl power? Why can't two shewolves share a wolf? How convenient (again) that in this universe there are so few shewolves that they have to be mated off to a single (or two) guy(s). (◔_◔)

In short, this story wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that good either. The check-off-a-list-item thing really bothered me. And since I didn't truly believe the connection between Blasius, Dante, and Moira (the bond between the two guys was believable and had emotion behind it), their scenes lacked the "hotness" the author meant to present.

But there was Bez! I can't want to re-read his story, because...BEZ!

I truly love this series. In my opinion, The Gathering Tales are just as important to the Feral Breed Series as the full length novels. Their also just as powerful, entertaining, humorous, engaging, and smoking hot! Ellis Leigh is brilliant! A major understatement if I've ever said one! I loved Blaze, Dante, and Moira's tale!

It's the last day of the 78th Annual NALB Gathering. Dante and Blazius (Blaze), President of the NALB have been mated and looking for their missing third of their Triad for 500 years together after losing hopes of ever finding her. Until they both spot the beautiful Moira, Sister of Alpha Killian O'Shea and Alpha Female of the Southern Appalachia pack. After feeling the Mating pull then feeling rejected and heart broken, can Blaze and Dante convince their sexy little Mate they both desire her to be a part of every aspect of their lives?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet ending to this amazing trilogy

I love that Moors got her men, it was amazing to see beyond the little we're show before to the real her. So happy for her family/pack that have found their mates but losing hope that she'll find her own. Also, I loved that Lillian wasn't afraid to show her the respect she was due as an Alpha female regardless that others way see this as weakness. To me it shows strength. Unlike most of the alphas that appear to see their female's as property and due no respect, Killian is strong enough to inspire the trust, respect and devotion of his pack by treating them with respect and dignity. Not crushing there spirit with fear&intimidation.

**fans self**

This is my first triad in any type of fiction, and just...wow. I love this idea that Blasius and Dante have always felt the absence of their third. Then comes Moira. She's a strong she-wolf and fits perfectly with them. I really think the balance here is great. We see the familiar, strong bond between Blasius and Dante then the new feel of Moira coming into their established relationship. But she fits so well with them that there's nothing awkward about it at all.

Great writing!

MORE PLEASE!!!!!

Loved this last book (for now, I hope). Would love for the series to continue. So happy Moira found her soul mates. I know Blasius and Dante were so happy to find their third. They had about given up, they had been looking for a very long time. Moira was also resigned that she wasn't going to find her mate either. So glad they all found each other. Love Ms Leigh's books. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco

another short one
the day after her brother and their second find ther mates and Moira is feeling a little down..
She goes to final dance and sees a man on the other side of the room.. she knows he is hers but when another alpha tries to kiss her ... she floors him.. and by the time she looks back.. her mate is gone.
She has two mates and triads are quite common...
She meets her mates the next day and she is blissfully happy.
She has to leave with them... says goodby to killian and Gideon.

Strangely incomplete

While I liked the story, it felt much more incomplete and rushed than the others. I loved Moira and I'm glad she found her mates, but I felt I had more questions than answers. It just felt off overall, and would have been better with more detail and resolution. Kind of a disappointing end to this mini series.

Time

Wow 500 years til they were complete. They almost gave up. They are really glad they didn't when they finally have her and are surprised when she right off excepts them. They are now complete. Good reading.

There were a lot of inconsistencies in both this book and book two that made enjoying these reads difficult. Things like character names changing from one chapter to the next that detracted from the story.

Satisfying series conclusion

The triad is finally complete. Blaze and Dante are both more than drawn to Moria and she to them. Her strength and sexuality make her their perfect mate.

An amazing triad story that I've read.

I loved that it's a triad. I chose this rating because I own all her books and enjoy them more each time. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like a smutty, loving, and magical story.

Enjoyed Short Novellette

Once again I appreciate the author's ability to compose an imaginative story in so few words. I must say that while I admire her talent, I'm learning that this is probably not my favorite format for reading. I like a more complex and suspenseful story.

Read in the box set.
Loved how strong Moira was in stating her wants and desires to her two mates Blasius and Dante. Not quite sure why acknowledging Moira as their third in their triad would have been so bad. I am sure they had more than enough security.

The third book in the trilogy takes a slightly different path - a steamy triad is formed when Moira and her mates find each other. It's a good, quick read!

About Moira, Dante, & Blasius. Short, boring, some sex. As much as I like Blasius, this book didn't do much for the overall , other then to bring the 3 of them together.
