One kinky doctor + one indecent proposal = one life-changing week in Paris

She worships the talented physician and company icon responsible for developing the cure that saved her sister’s life and isn’t immune to his charm. Even though puzzled by his request, she is excited and eager to get started on his latest project.

But Dr. Vincent has other ideas. Instead of discussing cures, drugs and marketing strategies, he asks Elaine to join him in Paris to indulge his unique sexual appetites.

Torn between gratitude for saving her sister, her attraction for the powerful man and compromising her pre-conceived notions of sexuality, she must decide if it's easier to feed his desires or walk away. Until she devises a plan of her own.

“Make no mistake, Elaine, I am a king. Kings command and conquer. They are brutal and uncompromising. You don’t want a king. Face it, you came here expecting a saint.” - Dr. Xavier Vincent

4.25 Mega Hott Read < --- I’m talking, on FIRE read.

Okay, so fans of Olivia Cunning and Nicole Edwards, you will have to read Curing the Doctor Vincent. Actually, you will have to AUDIO listen because I did and it was FANTASTIC!

One Woman + Two Men + One Man Watching = HAPPY TIMES ALL AROUND

I didn’t know anything about this story. I just knew it had a doctor (hence the title) and it was an audio book with two narrators (I tend to like narrators with both male and female), so why not right?!

I had no idea what kind of world I was stepping into. I will put that tiny disclaimer here, this is a PURE erotic book. If you don’t like overly steamy books, then this will not be for you and let me just say this, you are crazy if you don’t like that kind of books, but to each their own.

This was my kind of cuppa.

Elaine is a PR rep for Dr. Xavier Vincent. Vincent (the Good Doctor) asks Elaine to work on a project with him. The thing is, he lives in Paris. When she travels to Paris to meet up with Vincent, she gets more than what she bargains for.

Vincent is a man with many many many flaws (isn’t that the case though and don’t we love it?). He also has one tiny issue. He doesn’t want to have relationships with women, physically. Meaning, he likes to watch and not only does he like to watch he likes to watch two men having relations with his girl.

Vincent is an interesting Hero. It’s not that he’s all for sharing, okay he is all for sharing, but he generally likes his women. He and his ex-wife had this relationship and it worked for them. So he propositions Elaine.

For one week Vincent wants Elaine. He wants to watch her do the dirty with two men while he watches **GASP** oh it’s so taboo and so awesome at the same time.

Here’s the thing that WORKED so well for me. The book is written in Elaine’s POV, BUT the male parts are narrated by Vincent. Now, this threw me off at first, because I’m use to dual POV and you know, the male POV is narrated by the male and the female POV is narrated by the female, but I’ve never listened to a female POV book where the male jumps in during the male parts. That is usually voiced by the female with a deeper voice. Anyhow, let’s just say that ALL books should be narrated like Curing Doctor Vincent. It completely worked for me.

Vincent works with Elaine to show her what kind of man he is and what his tastes are. Not only he likes to watch, but he likes to direct. It’s his way of making love with his woman. Elaine has never done anything like this before, but come on, you throw a girl in a room with three hot men, how could she say no?

Overall, the book is a short read, but that because it’s a trilogy, don’t worry, there’s no epic cliffy, you will be very happy with the ending. Like I said, it’s an overly steamy book, but I liked that. The parts with Elaine, Marco, Sebastian and Dr. Vincent were my favorite (obviously). We do find out why Vincent is the way he is and I liked uncovering his past, so it’s not all steam.

I’m very excited for the next book and I will of course listen to it on audio. I can’t imagine this series any other way.

Audio Questions

Where does Curing Doctor Vincent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love audio books. I mostly listen to romance audio books, so I’m really picky about listening to books that can keep my interests. I usually listen to books based on my mood. I was very much in the mood to listen to something a little kinky, taboo and with lots of steam. Renea and Nancy delivered. I even re-listened to some of the parts with my husband because the performance was just top notch. It’s a great audio.

What did you like best about this story?

The audio narration was the best part and uncovering Vincent’s past. The narrators really got me into the story. I was wondering about Vincent’s past and why he is the way he is and how he could just be okay with the things he was doing. I liked getting to know Vincent. I also liked Elaine’s and Vincent’s intense relationship.

What about Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward ’s performance did you like?

This was my first narration by Erin and Noah. Erin did a fabulous job. I think it’s very difficult to transition from Elaine’s character to just simply narrating the story. I could easily following and understand when she was being the character and when she was reading the book.

The star of the show was Noah. He only spoke during his parts and I have no idea how he made the book flow so easily. Noah pops in and out during the male parts and like I said, at first it throws you off (if you have never experienced it), but eventually you can’t imagine it any other way. I LOVE his voice. It’s so deep and he gets REALLY into it.

Erin and Noah worked so well together. It was really easy, light and it just flowed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I can listen to it all in one sitting. I would suggest listening to it in private because some parts will make you super blush. It’s also a fairly short audio book, but just enough to give you what you need. You will be very satisfied and happy when you are done.

Doctor Vincent is brilliant, breathtakingly handsome, and damaged. Elaine is adventurous, beautiful, and feels indebted to the handsome doctor. An unconventional proposal and week long adventure in Paris will either bring these two together or ruin them forever.

I'm rating this on smut level alone. It's hot as Hades! Erotica fans will definitely love it.
The story is intriguing, but a little too dramatic for me. There are some seriously shady happenings going on underneath the surface.

This is book 1 in the series, but it doesn't end on a horrible cliffhangers. It's one of those odds situations where the book wraps up enough to leave you satisfied, but hints at something else intriguing coming along in the future.

Oh my gosh! I was lucky enough to read this before the release date, and now am CURSING myself, because I can not wait for more books in this series! (Though I hear through the grapevine that a Symphony short might make an appearance this winter :-) ). Ok, where to start? The doctor is an amazingly complex man, with similarly complex needs... Seriously HOT complex needs... With a name like Xavier (Capital X!), you expect some steaminess, but Renea Mason exceeded my expectations, without leaving me feeling like I just watched a bunch of really gross internet porn. Yes, there is a lot of sex in this story, even some ménage, but all of it is in good taste. No skanky terminology or "chicka bow wow" moments... Elaine, Xavier's PR advisor, is the lucky recipient of his lovely attentions (she deserved a mention, as she is the female lead).
This story is so much more than a typical erotica book! It touches on romance (of course!), physical abuse (and how it can affect us for life), and the lifetime of gratitude that a family feels toward the savior of one of its own. This novel is physically fulfilling as an excellent erotica specimen, but it's also spiritually fulfilling, as the characters grow and thrive together. All in all, a truly good read. I would recommend it to all of my open-minded friends and relatives. For sure, going to buy my mom a copy, as soon as it's available to the public!

4.5 stars!

Good God, this book was HOT. I will be immediately continuing the trilogy, so this won't be a lengthy review, but here goes...

Elaine, who is employed by a pharmaceutical company, meets the enigmatic Dr. Xavier Vincent at a work function one night. Because of both professional and personal reasons, he is something of an idol to her. Sparks fly, but when it's time for him to make a move, he instead propositions her for somewhat of an unorthodox week-long sexual relationship... that includes his friends Marco and Sebastian. Just to be clear, Dr. Vincent isn't just some kinky bastard; he's had a rough go of it in his life, and "directing" is genuinely his way of showing intimacy. Which means that not only is this book psychologically interesting and different than the normal smut novel, it's also HOT. AS. FUCK.

Holy shit, was this story HOT.

Ovaries photo RIP_zps09730af9.jpg

So, yeah. It was actually really well-written with a suspenseful and interesting plot. So far, the plot is a little confusing and far-fetched- hence the half-star deduction- but I imagine the focus of this first book was mostly establishing Dr. Vincent and Elaine's relationship. Oh, and the sex. Dear God. Finally, I loved that Marco and Sebastian were more than just stunt cocks. Marco was funny, sweet, and endearing. Sebastian seemed like a genuinely nice and good guy, but Marco kind of stole the show. So while the plot development might have been a little slow, the character development was excellent, and I can't wait to continue!

...most excruciating are those false truths we weave for ourselves. Lies unravel, painful stitch by stitch. In truth, Doctor, you’ll find the cure for every lie.”
“And for me that cure is you.”

🎧 Audio Review 🎧

I really enjoyed this story. It was a super Hot book with a lot more than just sex but had a lot of that too! In the beginning I thought it was going to be an insta-love story but it really wasn't as they both knew so much about each other before either of them actually met and they had some very important life changing things that connected them. Doctor Vincent was a damaged character and that helps to make the story believable. I love the friendships in this book, Doctor Vincent has true friends that would do anything for him and that just makes him even more likable for me. There was no long drawn out drama because of a misunderstanding, another HUGE plus for me. It had an "I never saw that coming" story line which is always great. The ending left things ready for book 2 but it wasn't a cliffhanger. Oh and did I say THIS BOOK IS HOT!!!

The narration was also awesome! At first I didn't know if I liked this back and forth style of dual narration but once I got into the book I really did like it. No annoying men trying to sound like women or visa versa. These narrators have a great chemistry that comes through incredibly well in this recording. Oh and they both do the sexy scenes amazingly well!

Can't wait for the next book in this series to come out. Even if the eBook releases 1st I will be waiting for the Audiobook just to hear these two narrators together again! If you love a good romance, super HOT sexy scenes and an unexpected twist then I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK!!!

I wanted to listen to a book while working yesterday so I decided to download Curing Doctor Vincent. First, let me say...YOWZA. Seeeeexy! The men in this story. Goodness!!!! They will leave you fanning your face!

Second, the story was not just a ball of heat with no story to back it up. Quite the opposite actually. The heat and the story worked companionably well to keep tge reader's attention. I loved the backstory to this one. It was your damaged hero with a huge plot twist. Like.... HUGE!!! It was equal parts sexy and intriguing and I'm chomping at the bit to read the second and third part. Curing Doctor Vincent was a full length story, and ended in a SHFN (sorta happy for now) but the story is definitely NOT over.

Finally, I have to say that the narrators on this one were amazing. They did an exceptional job bringing the characters to life. So in ebook or audiobook format this is a #bcfav. If you like a very well written story with equal parts steam and intrigue, then look no further!

This book is SO MUCH MORE than an erotic romance. Of course, the sex is smokin' hot, and kinky...but the story behind it all? THAT is what kept me reading page after page. I couldn't put it down! And you can't help but fall in love with Elaine and the good doctor. I can't wait to see what the rest of this trilogy has in store!

If you looking for a scorching hot as hell panty dropping, psychology thriller you found it here. This book is sort of hard to explain, its panty melting for sure. Elaine Watkins works for a pharmaceutical company as a public relations advisor and when the doctor who is the saving grace of the company and physician who has developed the cure to save her sisters life shows up to her speaking engagement she is thrilled. Now Doctor Vincent is the idol of her company and is also easy on the eyes invites her and the team to dinner she wants to decline, however I did say he was tall, dark, handsome, alluring and rich doctor Vincent refuses to take a no.

Dr Xavier Vincent is talented physician, psychologist and now developer of cure for cancer invites Elaine Watkins to Paris for a week long trip for his lates project how can Elaine refuse, she jumps at the opportunity. Once Elaine arrives his proposal is not discussing cures, drugs or marketing strategies, he ask for a panty melting, jaw dropping sexual experience she will never forget. He gives her pictures of the two men he wants to include on their sexual interlude Marco which wanted to be a underwear model but is a doctor that works with Xaiver & Sebastian that is also a doctor with his own practice and a terminal ill wife that wants Sebastian to help Dr Vincent. You ask help Dr Vincent well Dr Vincent suffer from a so call affixation that when he ejaculate if near a woman he blanks out and does unspeakable things that he can't remember. Thats where the psychological thriller comes in. So in so many words he wants to watch to men ravage Elaine and get off while watching. So Elaine has to decide if she will spend a week site seeing or being treated like a queen by three men which are all doctors. There are so many other turns and secrets in this book it a no wonder its one of my go to's when I'm in a book slump and needing a panty melting thrill.

Curing Doctor Vincent was one of those books that you start to read knowing you'll probably like it, but when you get to the end, you take a second to process it all and realize you REALLY liked it. And, for me, the reasons why I loved this book include the entire package - the story, the characters and the audio narration.

The Book
In Curing Doctor Vincent, Elaine is approached by her personal hero - the doctor responsible for inventing the cure for her sister's type of cancer - to come to Paris and spend an unconventional week with him. She knows his indecent proposal should appall her, but instead it fascinates her. Xavier claims he isn't capable of a conventional relationship, but after seeing him in action, Elaine just knows she can help him. As she delves into his past to find a way to do so, she uncovers far more than she ever imagined.

At first you think Curing Doctor Vincent is going to be a typical erotic romance book. And, at first, it is. Xavier shows up at a speech Elaine gives and invites her and her co-workers to dinner. He asks her boss to send her to Paris on a supposed assignment. Turns out that "assignment" involves her getting it on with two crazy hot guys while he watches. Xavier has a condition which doesn't allow him to experience a woman like most men, so this is his answer. He directs the men as they interact with his woman.

So, you see that, although it starts out as a standard trope, it becomes apparent about halfway through that it's a lot more than that. As Elaine draws closer to Xavier, her desire to learn more about his past and his condition in an effort to help him grows stronger. As secrets are uncovered, we realize that there was so much more going on behind the scenes - really crazy things. Unexpected things. It kind of turned this standard erotic romance story into more of a suspensy, mysteryish erotic romance. And, how cool is that?

As far as the romance part goes, although it was a bit instalovey for my tastes, that didn't bother me as much as it usually does. I was more focused on what was really going on in Xavier's prior relationship than how fast his current one was developing. Xavier was cagey and enigmatic and sweet. He was protective of Elaine and it was clear that he very much wanted a normal relationship with her. Elaine was strong and curious. She has her own tragic skeletons in her closet that have completely changed her life and how she looks at things, including Xavier and her relationship with him. She makes it clear that one singular event can change absolutely everything in both your past, present and future. It's interesting to note that, in my opinion, had that one event not happened, I don't believe she would have ever agreed to Xavier's arrangement in Paris for the week.

The two men with which Elaine is involved are not just faceless side characters. They have their own stories and personalities. I loved everything about Marco. He was funny and trustworthy and so nice to Elaine. He's also a very loyal friend to Xavier. Sebastian has his own cross to bear, which is what drove him to agree to Xavier's proposal. Their times with Elaine, as directed by Xavier, are ridiculously hot and sexy.

I liked where the book left off, with Xavier and Elaine looking for more answers. I have a lot of questions that I hope will be answered in book 2, Surviving Doctor Vincent. This is definitely one I plan to pre-order, because I can't wait to see how things will work out for them.

The Audio Narration
I usually add in a few sentences about the audio narration when I review an audio book, because many times the narration colors my review. If the narration is bad, then it makes the entire book just a bit worse for me. I felt like this book deserved more than just a few sentences about the audio performance. Because it was just. That. Good.

Curing Doctor Vincent is narrated by Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward. Usually when a book uses both a male and a female narrator, the book is written in dual POV and the female narrator reads the chapters from the heroine's POV, and the male narrator reads the chapters from the hero's POV.

Except, Curing Doctor Vincent is told solely from Elaine's POV.

I've heard of books like this - ones where the female narrator reads all female dialog (plus, in this case, all the internal monologue, since the story is told from a female's POV) and the male narrator reads all the male dialog - but hadn't experienced one until now. So, if Elaine interrupted Xavier in the book, she REALLY did it in the audiobook. It made for a much more colorful and dynamic overall performance. I absolutely loved it.

On top of that, the narrators themselves were fantastic. They weren't too dramatic or too sleepy. They read their characters' parts perfectly. And the sex scenes... holy crap. Seriously - "wow" doesn't cut it. They really got into character. :)

Curing Doctor Vincent has been out since January 2015, but this release blitz is celebrating the release of the audio version. I sincerely hope that book 2 releases both the print and the audio versions on the same day. But, even if they don't, I'm still planning on waiting for the audio version. I loved it so much - I can't wait to hear these narrators again.

Oh wow, seriously, where do I begin!? Well let me first address some comments I have read from readers who, by their own admission, haven’t actually read this book, they’re just making a generic assumption. The comments are similar in nature, stating this book/series is a “Wannabe Fifty Shades of Gray”. Ok, let me just say I personally hated that particular series. When I say “hate” I mean it. I won’t go into the whys, because this review isn’t about FSOG or bashing the writing.

It IS however, about Curing Doctor Vincent and Renea Mason’s writing. That being said, these assumptions couldn’t be further from the truth! Renea Mason has once again stripped a genre and built something completely unique and magnificent! Curing Dr Vincent takes Erotic Romance to a whole new level of sexual fantasies!

Elaine is going through a yearly humiliation thanks to her father, who is a serial killer. When she’s asked questions about her childhood, she tells the truth, which as we all know, sometimes the truth isn’t what others want to hear. However someone who is watching her, appreciates her honesty and he also finds her sexy beyond belief. Her boss, her hero, her fantasy…Doctor Xavier Vincent.

Doctor Vincent is a very lovable and sexy character. He would rather give then receive pleasure, and he wants Elaine to have the most pleasurable experience of her life. He treats her with the utmost respect and yet lets her know he has a dark secret. Will it scare her enough to run? Or will his offer ensnare her in his web?

I love Elaine. She’s a strong female character who isn’t afraid of her own sexuality. When Doctor Vincent gives her the opportunity to have one week of passion like she’s never known, with no strings attached. She must make a choice. Go back to the office wondering what it would've been like or fulfilling some fantasies that she’s only imagined.

However….Elaine has her own agenda and she doesn’t intend on failing. If Doctor Vincent really thinks he’s only going to be an observer, he has another thing coming. But his past has made him terrified of himself. And what about her own past that continues to haunt her?? Can they overcome their pasts and finally find someone to take away their demons? Or will this week just be another thing they have to try and forget.

I give “Curing Doctor Vincent” 5 PERFECT STARS!!!!

“I surrender, because I love you, my king.”

There are some books that are just made better by experiencing it through the wonders of audible. This book is definitely one of those. Audiobooks are like a happy medium between reading and having a book made into a movie/tv show. You get ALL the parts of the book and a colorful story teller in a form of narrator.

This book was beyond anything I have listened. First the narration style was a new one to me as both narrators did their reading together. Not at the same time but each narrator spoke their part like they were having a real conversation and you were just a nosy fly on the wall. This new (to me) narration style was definitely a departure from all my previous listens and once the initial shock wore off I grew to love it. In this book even though the story is told from Elaine's point of view (narrated by Erin Deward) all the parts that required a "man-part" reply were done by Noah Michael Levine.  He does a fantastic job! Having to bring to life multiple people with multiple accents as well. Even though Doctor Xavier Vincent is our messed up hero I really did fall more in love with Marco all thanks to Noah's narration skills.

“Make no mistake, Elaine, I am a king. Kings command and conquer. They are brutal and uncompromising. You don’t want a king. Face it; you came here expecting a saint.”

Elaine is our heroine whose life has turned upside down due to huge family drama. Working in PR she herself is a PR nightmare for her company so when her company pawns her off to please one of very prominent Doctors she goes willingly to get away. Elaine has had a HUGE crush on Dr Vincent, after all he is the man responsible for a cancer cure that saved her sister. So being summoned to his side... to Paris! of all the places she runs, hops, skips with stars in her eyes. Problem is... the man she has put on a pedestal for so many years if far from perfect. She learns quickly that he is a broken man and like any broken man the only way he keeps his control is playing a dominant. His domination will be over her body and the strings? well the strings are the two men who for a week will pleasure Elaine that in turn will please him. And please him she will as she sees it the only way to be with him physically but via surrogate of two men chosen by him, Sebastian and Marco! It should be wrong, but yet the author writes the scenes so beautiful and with narrators' help this story becomes SCORCHING HOT when it comes to their unconventional love making/f*king!!!

My nipples stood hard, accenting the full, round globes.

Sebastian’s hand rose as if to touch them, but the doctor interrupted,  “Not yet, I want her to think about you touching them first. Let it sink in. The brain is the most powerful sex organ. I want her to think about you touching and sucking them. Marco, add another finger, she needs more.”

I usually listen to my audiobooks at work BUT as soon as I got through the first HOT SCENE... Think 3 men and 1 woman... Well I just couldn't do it. I had to put it aside to listen to at home, not even on the train rides. So this book should come with a warning not to be listened to while operating heavy machinery unless that machinery will get you off. Also good thing it's an audiobook as you will need both hands to properly enjoy this book.  ;-)

“Doctor, what are you asking?”

“I’m asking you to surrender to five days of passion. To discover physical delights you’ve never known and will never know again.”

I stared at the doctor, at the photos, then back again.

He pointed to the page. “I want to watch those two men ravish you under my direction.”

The book reminded me a bit of Fifty, it had its elements but also it didn't follow the same formula. Of course we have our rich brooding man with a truckload of issues that prevent him from seeking a conventional relationship and it is for Elaine to show him the way and break down his barriers. This story does have some awesome plot twists that will leave your mouth hanging and begging for the next book ASAP. No this book doesn't end in a cliff-hanger and in it's own way ends in HEA, however, with said plot twists there is much room for story development. I can not wait to read... but DEFINITELY listen to the continuation to this series. Renea Mason you have a new fan!

PS I loved Doctor & Elaine's nicknames for each other. I'm going to slowly work that in my relationship I love it so much.

Curing Doctor Vincent. Where do I even start? Let’s just say that finishing this book caused two immediate actions. 1. One-clicking the entire series and 2. Searching Red Tube; so well maybe it caused three actions ;)

Elaine Watkins finds herself at the center of Dr. Vincent’s attention when they have a brief encounter at a conference. What starts with a few exchanged words leads to an invitation to Paris and a whole new world of pleasure. But the sexual journey that Xavier has planned for Elaine is not a typical romp, this one includes the addition of Marco and Sebastian...

This was really an unexpected read. I had no idea going into this book that I’d find myself reading this sort of story. But as I mentioned at the start of this review, I did immediately one-click the entire series – knowing that I had to know every detail of what came of these four characters.

This was a fucking hot read. Like, put down a towel, hot read. And although there was a lot of mystery and suspense tossed in as the start of the story began to take off, I really could only focus on the hotness. I figured I’d let the subsequent books cover the story portions. There was just something so taboo and arousing about the way Xavier had to tend to sexual needs. And although the concept of this story is a bit out there, things just all came together as the story developed.

I think what I sort of loved the most about this was that I was lured in with kink and promises of multiple orgasms and in the end I found myself discovering a world of manipulation and deception. I felt like a kid being lured by the promise of candy into the creepy van.

And yes, I binge read the series – start to finish.

Wow, this was intense. When they say erotica, this is the kind of book they mean, whew!
Elaine and Xavier have crazy chemistry and when they get together, it's explosive. Plus, we have Sebastian and Marcus that participate in some steamy scenes and this book is overloaded. It flew by and the subplot was dark and interesting. The narrators do a fantastic job, definitely recommend listening!

3 'Audible' stars!

I guess the old adage of ‘you won’t know until you try’ fits here.

I LOVE Audible books! I’ve always got an audiobook on the go and perhaps get through 20 - 25 a year (some being up to 40 hours long!). But I’ve never, until this ARC came up tried erotica on audio!

Well!! Let me tell you now, it is not the same feeling at all! I can read the dirtiest, smuttiest filth and be absolutely enthralled and lost in my own little world. But listening to the sexy voiced characters sucking, licking, fucking, fingering and clenching at each other and every orifice...you get the picture... is a whole other experience!!

It’s one that I don’t think will be repeated for me - especially as I listen without earbuds and so having it blaring out in the kitchen whilst washing dishes had me running to close the window!!

LOL I’ve learnt this week that I’m not brave enough for erotic audio and even more surprising, I do care what the neighbors think!!!... I mean as an erotica reader you think nothing will surprise you, but this was more like porn!... which I’d also close the windows for!!!

Onto the book itself because honestly, my rating of 3 is not in any way related to it being on Audible, in fact it was very well and sexily narrated throughout, although (for Audible users) at my usual 1.25 it was a little slow, I found a speed of 1.5 worked better. Strangely I also find 1.5 works better for Stephen King’s books?! Just saying.

My main issue was that I found I couldn’t connect to the characters at all.
And I didn’t think that the story itself was realistic, it’s pure fantasy and I like a bit more realism with my smut.
Readers/listeners looking to get plenty of ‘bang’ for their buck will probably be at a 5 with this one!! I personally need more story and that the story itself is believable - I couldn’t relate to these people at all - this wasn’t the story I expected.

I didn’t realize either that there would be so many men involved at once in the good doctor's fantasy! - I’m not opposed to that, just didn’t know quite what I’d be getting into as the blurb only hints at it.

I want to thank Renea Mason for going out of her way to ensure I got an ARC in the UK - it was very kind of her and I’ll look out for more of her books (to read!!) in the future : )

PRE_REVIEW:

My first Audible smut read - very excited to try this!!!

This was a surprisingly good book.

At first I was like.

 photo 600816_zpsddncmd1u.gif

Dr. Vincent is a bit odd.

 photo weird really_zpskg2rnv3t.gif

" You know this is all fucked up"
He laughed. "Yes. It is. Aren't we lucky?
" I was thinking more like crazy"

Dr. Vincent can't touch a women during sex. The reader has no idea why. As I said before he's weird. He picks Elaine to fulfill his desires, which involves her with two other men while he calls the shot.

Mind you, Dr. Vincent has only met Elaine one time when he sends her an invitation to Paris. She thinks she's going for work but the good doctor has something else in store.

Elaine has to keep her heart out of the situation because, it's only for a week.

So naive. So foolish. That's the very definition of love. It's not hearts and flowers. It's caring about someone else's experience more than you care about your own."

Although the Doctor is odd, he's freaking sexy

 photo tumblr_inline_nrse2qWwlU1slmj6y_500_zpsza1b1tvb.gif

"If beauty doesn't make me worthy of YOUR touch, Doctor, what will."

"It's not about worth. You are priceless. Like a piece of art or gem behind museum glass. Admired by all. Exquisite. Treasured. Collected."

Best of all it doesn't end with a cliffhanger!

How do you adequately talk about a book you loved so much your having a hard time putting your thoughts down. I know you gush like a school girl.

OMG Dr. Vincent is holy freaking HOT. I can’t even talk about Marco or Sebastian. I mean that’s too much hotness for one book!!

I am getting a head of myself. Elaine is forever grateful to Doctor Vincent for saving her sisters life. But she lusts after the Dr. something fierce. Elaine isn’t having such a great time, her father is a horrible man and his past choices affect her everyday life.

When the opportunity arises for her to join Dr. Vincent in Paris she goes. I sure as heck would!!
You have to ask your self is it ok to perv on the good Doctor.. The answer is always YES!

Unexpected proposition….

“Insanity, he couldn’t be serious, could he?” – Oh but he is Elaine, oh but he is.

Doctor V gets under your skin you feel for him and his past and his present; he is still struggling.
Elaine is just trying to make sense of what life has thrown at her. So why not do as her body wants?

“Your past is pulling your strings.” - No truer word for either of them.

Something I really liked about Elaine is how she doesn’t take anything at face value, she believes the Doctor can be cured and she is on a mission to help.

I have read a lot and listened to a lot of books…. I think this is the hottest book I have EVER had the pleasure of reading/listening too…. I seriously think this book has ruined me for any other. My mind is blown, put a fork in me I am done. In the best kind of way!

Shocked isn’t even a strong enough word to describe how this book got to me, the story is beautiful and heart breaking and heart mending.

This is everything.

“But you do, remember you can’t lie to me, it might be Marco inside of you but never forget to whom you are making love. Marco, show her.”

Can we talk about the narration for a second.. OMG I can’t even the .. You know.. Those were like.. OMG.. The breathing and the.. Yeah you need this book in your life it’s amazing and yeah . I can’t even talk about how Noah’s voice makes me feel.. Worth the Credit, worth the money, worth it all, no joke. I will be listing to this baby again no doubt!

NetGalley Review
****ARC provided by the author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.****

I loved this book. I didn't think I was going to because it seemed a little dark and I'm not a fan of dark. I'm also not a fan of doctors being the hero because I always think of them as slender men with swimmers bodies and I tend to lean towards fighters (boxers or MMA), construction workers, law enforcement, cowboys - mainly men who are beefy with huge biceps & chest, 8 pack abs, huge hands with callouses from working in a blue collar field or just working out. So when I read about a doctor or accountants or lawyers they kind of turn me off because in my head I picture skinny, geeky nerds, but Man, OH, Man! Xavier smashed all my preconceived notions about doctors along with Marco and Sebastian who are also doctors.

This book was already hot and add menage with three gorgeously built doctors. I was in heaven reading this book! The story was great, I thought Elaine's family background was really interesting and the issue with Xavier. I don't want to give too much away, but this was a wonderful read. I don't even mind too much that it was a bit of a cliffhanger, though it is not that as much as it is a HFN. I look forward to reading the next books as the story of Xavier continues as he plots revenge on his enemies.

This is my first time reading a book by Renea Mason. I can't wait to read more of her works, even if it is just to read the sex scenes I'd be a happy camper, but I know that the storyline would also be well worth reading!

I also wanted to note that this book won a Shameless Book Club Award:
Winner - Shameless Book Club Awards - Most Original Plot
I looked up this site and though the website itself isn't all that great (some missing links, etc) there were many books listed there that I'd be interested in reading.

This is my first time reading anything by Renea Mason and now I am left wondering why I haven't read anything of hers before today.

Curing Doctor Vincent had everything I could possible ask for in a romance novel plus more. It was an absolute blast reading this story. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. When I was reading it, I still couldn't stop thinking about it and just had to read more to discover who the doctor really is.

Doctor Vincent is a mystery and first appears on the scene and disturbs Elaines' perfect little world. It is only when he makes a strange request from her does she truly discover the man beneath what he lets the world see.

From there I just couldn't stop reading. I was so absorbed by this story. I was just as shocked by the secrets that rock are the doctors' and Elaines' world. I so did not see that coming.

The ending was so beautiful. Or should I say the beginning of something beautiful hopefully. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I'm not a fan of this type of writings. But this kept my interest on - and not only.
Between the hot scenes - reproduced exquisitely by Erin Deward and Noah Michael Levine- there is a kind of suspense and almost thriller story. Of course that the main focuse is on the sexual scene- in the end it is an erotic writing.
But there is a bit more than this and I think that is why it can be read even if you're not a fan of the genre.
As I've said, have not more experience with this genre, but this seems to be a good book.
The stars are for the erotic genre. If you want to read about deep subjects, psychological ones, romantic or anything else, be sure that this is a poor one. But if you just want to read it as it is, than be prepared for a really good one.

Um, the audiobook for this? *fans self* Don't listen to this in public. That's all I am going to say.
Oh, and there's basically no plot to this so the 4 stars are strictly for the audiobook narration.

...thy name is Dr. Vincent.

How can a grown man be this emo?

Dr. Vincent found the cure of some sort of brain cancer, even though he seemed to have been a psychiatrist and research wasn't his thing? Whatever. Those details aren't important (eyeroll). Elaine happens to work for his company and not only that, her sister suffered from the same type of brain cancer to which he discovered the cure (gasp!) She's in awe of the guy so doesn't think it twice when he invites her to Paris. When she arrives, she learns that she's not there for work and realizes something very surprising about the saintly Doctor.

I won't go into details about his proposal because it's pretty unique. In fact, I can say I haven't seen the likes in the annals (haha) of romance, even erotic. He supposedly leaves the decision to her but given that he's in a double position of power (saved her sister from a certain death AND can fire her from a job she needs at will), you can say there's a bit of coercion involved. She of course justifies the whole thing saying she'll regret it if she doesn't do it, but all the same, it felt very skeevy to me.

Pretty soon, they're doing it in every corner and insta-feelings emerge. We find out that the poor doctor has a TRAGIC PAST that is the cause for his kink. In between bouts of sex, we learn that he's NO GOOD FOR HER and the reason he suggested the temporary arrangement was because SHE DESERVES BETTER!!! (At that point, I rolled my eyes so hard that I wondered my eyes didn't pop out of my head.)

Very soon it's clear to the reader that the doctor's supposed sex issues are just a way to justify the foursome shenanigans (oh yes, there are two other guys!) The "curing" alluded in the title happened at the speed of light, once some REVELATIONS come forth. It's incredible that a doctor who supposedly CURED CANCER! didn't put 2 and 2 together earlier on and just believed what two (clearly unethical people) told him.

I have no interest whatsoever to learn about the secret society or whatever was hinted at the end. I'm only rounding up because the duet narration by Noah Michael Levine & Erin Deward was spectacular. Good accents, great voices and interpretation. I can see why this narration won an Audie.

Oh WOW!! this book makes me heated up like a fire... I swear my cheek is still silly red...
For Erotic romance, this book is a full 5 stars... HOLY HOTNESS!! If you cannot stand sex with audiences and other partners.. this book is not for you... otherwise... go for it.. it is hot sexy and very very tormented.

Spoilers

Personally I don't particularly enjoy couple who get off having sex with someone else. I always believe that giving oneself to another is a treasure for each to keep. However, for Xavier and Elaine, it was definitely much much more deeper and intense. It was not that Xavier didn't want Elaine so exclusively, it's that he was afraid of his illness. It was so powerful and it actually made me more understanding of their relationship. Imagine you unconsciously killed the one you loved when you had sex with her/him... yeah I suppose it was so difficult when you love someone and want to give them pleasure in anyway without killing them. That's what Xavier was. so he ended up learning to feel and give pleasure in a much different ways.

Elaine was a very strong character here. She was actually the strong one in the relationship. Xavier might be in control but she was the one who take action. She was erotically BADASS!! Although the book has the typical insta-love, their sexual tension was off the chart and their shared secrets are so f*ck-up (pardon my french) that I kinda get it. Xavier was not at all affected by the fact that Elaine's father was a psychopathic serial killer and not just in the past, he was still alive and active. In fact Xavier was even intrigued by her understanding and the way she deals and copes with her situations. Elaine was attracted to his beauty and charisma but he was also somehow the one who understands her. Elaine, on the other hand... If she had run away after hearing Xavier's secret or being ignorant like most romance book girlfriends out there, Xavier would not become ever more enamored with her... even loved her. their love was fast but it was deeply intense.

And the plot.. HOLY SHIT!! the plot is great!! like OMG PERFECTION... you have to read it even if you don't like erotic... the story in itself worth all my stars... seriously even if there is only vanilla sex here... the book is story-wise awesome...

And their conversations... OH GOD!!! I was so turned on by their bantering words of wisdom, I was swooning so bad. they talked real art and literature. it was beautiful. they also made kinky into history. W O W!!

“Who said anything about love? I just want to see you happy.”

“So naive. So foolish. That’s the very definition of love. It’s not hearts and flowers. It’s caring about someone else’s experience more than you care about your own.”

Truer words had never been spoken.. and there are more...

“Even if you had said you’d left on purpose, you weren’t getting away. I’m not a victim anymore, Elaine. I’m your king. I will conquer you. Possess you to make sure that when I finally find who I really am, there’s something to ground me in who I wanted to be.”

and many many more... I want to put them in so much but i don't want to just chunk in every conversation in the books... so go read them.

I don't know if I can take anymore kinkier sex for the next book but damn, i'll try... come what may. Let me have the second.

Now, I don't typically read erotica it's not that I am not a prudish reader, I'm just selective. I don't shy away from books that have steamy sex scenes as long as there is more to the story than just sex. For me, it is all about the story. Curing Doctor Vincent, meets that requirement. There is plenty of steamy sex but there is so much more.

The characters are simply incredible. Elaine is a strong female character who hasn't had the best of luck in her life. One hard truth brought her world crashing around her and still she manages to live her life with as much dignity as humanly possible. Even though things haven't turned out like she expected, she won't let herself be the victim but it is hard to ignore the reason her dreams shattered when it comes with a very public, annual reminder . The enigmatic doctor just happens to present her with his outrageous proposal at the right time- when she needs a distraction from the shitstorm of her life. Xavier Vincent is a puzzle. He is one of the most brilliant minds in modern medicine. Fueled by the desire to eliminate the cancer that took his wife, he makes a scientific breakthrough that saves thousands. But he lives a very private life and no one knows just what things torment him. By fulfilling his requests, Elaine discovers that he also needs respite from his past and she hopes that she will be able to save him from the demons that haunt him. There are also other well developed characters that are very crucial to the story. Each one with a unique set of circumstances... It is simply amazing that so much thought went in to the development of secondary characters but their stories only enhance the main plot.

As for the plot... The storyline is completely captivating. A woman is offered a once in a lifetime experience- to become the unconventional lover of a man that she admires. If she agrees, she is expected to take on not one, but two gorgeous lovers and neither one is the doctor... this in itself is enough to create an interesting scenario but there are so many more twists and revelations thrown into the mix, it creates the most amazing tale. Through the whole thing, you are left wondering, "Can the pleasure they seek ease the pain of their pasts?" Add in the incredible imagery and some extremely creative sex scenes and you have one of the most hauntingly erotic adventures I have ever had the pleasure to read.

I have to say that Renea Mason has a way of taking the erotic and turning it into a spectacular story which is why I absolutely love her. There is plenty of hot sex- including sex in semi-public places and some menage situations- but the story is more about self realization and life changing discoveries. It is beautifully written and the Parisian backdrop only enhances the eroticism. Of course I am giving this one perfect marks- 10 out of 10- and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs smut to have a little more substance.

**Review of the audiobook**

STORY

...someone had bound him with invisible restraints. I was determined to set him free.”

I listened to about 300 books last year so it’s very, very, very, very seldom that I read something unique. I almost squealed out loud in delight when the male main character’s proclivities were revealed! I was expecting your typical, alpha, BDSM dominant but oh no, Mason is way too creative for that! In CURING DR. VINCENT, she has created a character with needs unlike any other I’ve ever read about - with desires I’d never even considered or imagined let alone read about! I was so excited; I wanted to call a friend, write to Ms Mason – something to express my excitement over such an innovative story! I was impressed even more when Mason told us what the female main character’s thoughts were. My biggest pet peeve about ménage romance is when the characters act as if having sex with plus one person at the same time is a common, everyday thing, jumping into a ménage situation without a thought. Female MC Elaine’s inner turmoil was so realistic yet simultaneously brief. I appreciated the realism and that Mason did not unnecessarily go on and on ad nauseam . This book also left me with questions… Is the shape of a woman’s mouth related to her ability to orgasm? Off to Google that...

With curveballs that shocked me and sex scenes that burned my ears, my only disappointmentI was about 93% in: I didn’t like the WAY the male main character’s true story was revealed. I thought the way Elaine learned the truth about Xavier was extremely unlikely and far-fetched. Otherwise, CURING DR. VINCENT is a really great book - super sexy and extremely unique! I was impressed by so much about this book, but for reasons I can’t seem to explain, I don’t have any interest in reading the rest of the trilogy....

PERFORMANCE
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward. I can’t remember the last time I heard a male narrator evoke so much emotion in a performance! From his grunts, groans and moans to his sighs and altered breathing, Levine bled emotion! Similarly, Ms. Deward showed her superior acting skills through her tone of voice, expressing believable, realistic emotion from start to finish. These two created a truly dynamic performance!

When it comes to crafting an unusual story, Renea Mason is a master. In Curing Doctor Vincent her characters have real insecurities and the kind of personal challenges that keep you rooting for them. Elaine is a woman who’s carried the pain of disappointment with her since she was very young. Renea Mason creates in her an empathetic heroine who, because of her own father’s betrayal, is able to look past the cool and controlled façade Dr. Vincent shows the world and help him come to terms with the man he is meant to be. I was fascinated with Dr. Vincent. Renea Mason creates in him an elegant man who has his demons under control as much as he is controlled by his demons. This is a story of people who have been broken, but fiercely defend themselves from the hurt they hold within. It was beautiful to see them find a way to happiness.

As an erotic novel, Curing Dr. Vincent is scintillating. There is a clear ratcheting of the stakes in every scene. I found myself wondering if the next could possibly be any hotter, and to my delight, it was. The multiple partners who share Elaine are not love interests for her. This is not a book of Polyamory, rather a very creative work of erotica that includes intricate scenes of voyeurism, domination and ménage encounters with two other men.

I enjoyed this story in the audio format. As an audio production, the story is told by two very talented voice actors. In many ways, listening to it was like listening to a classic radio show; so very classy and yet at the same time, sexy as hell. The two actors have genuine chemistry and their range in portraying the various characters is truly impressive. I highly recommend the audio version for a unique treat. But either in print or by audio book, Curing Dr. Vincent is a great start to an intriguing serial. I’m looking forward to the next installation.
