A bet between Eros, the God of love & desire, and Chloe (Chlotho), the Fate of birth, leads to a year filled with match-making and passion. This is where our story begins… ~~~~~ Fallen Angel Thane has been exiled to the realm of humans and Mystics for almost fifty years after what he considers a slight misunderstanding, too bad Zeus didn’t agree. After the blush of exile wears off, Thane dedicates his new life to helping those in need, all in the hope of impressing the imposing God.
A visit from his Watcher with one more task sets Thane up to finally get what he’s dreamed about for decades…his rightful place back on Olympus with his brothers. All he needs to do is keep one woman from “doing something stupid.” He determined to ignore his body responding for the first time in almost fifty years in order to go home.
Amara Hope is desperate to bring her brother home, traveling into the heart of Viral City day after day putting her life at risk. As her last living relative, he’s all she has left. When a hunky good samaritan grudgingly offers help, she’s all too willing to accept. Once they get her brother home and begin spending more time together, the more Amara knows he’s the one for her.
What the two don’t know is that the Gods are playing games with their lives, and they’re on a collision course with love.

This is an original review from http://bookedandloaded.com - I personally purchased this book and all opinions are my own.
This is a series I am glad I found in the beginning. Brandy Walker's Mystic Zodiac series is a 12 book novella series with one book coming out every month this year. (At least this is my understanding) Thane was the perfect escape during my busy weekend!
I am such a sucker for Greek Mythology. I began this obsession at a very young age and It still holds true today. Walker does a great job using the foundation of the Greek gods and goddesses to create great motivation for Thane's story as well as the other Mystic Zodiac stories to come.
Thane and Amara's story was well planned and well written. I really enjoyed that their story was not all rainbows and sunshine. Actually, it starts out quite dirty and not in the sexy way. The entire story flowed very well and was extremely pleasant to read. I never had to go back and reread any part of this book trying to decipher something or looking for a piece I thought I missed.
Thane contained a HEA (Happily Ever After) and that always leaves me with a nice smile at the end. This is book I am truly happy I picked up!
Eros & Chloe (aka Clotho one of the fates) have a bet going that she can do his job as good as he can. I mean after all how hard can it be to get folks to fall in love right? Now in order to win she is going to have to match one couple a month for a year. January’s couple is Thane, a Grigori (aka angel) and Amara an Eternal (someone with devine heritage that can be turned into an immortal). I really got a kick out of Thane & Amara’s story. I really liked Amara, she is strong and has her shit together. Thane is hot and when he gets his shit together he is even hotter. This is the first of what looks to be a really fun and sexy series.
This is a whole new world and I find myself intrigued and wanting to know more about the Mystic Zodiac world. Thane, of course is the typical arrogant alpha male until he falls for Amara. Amara on the other hand is no shrinking violet….the woman rocks! She goes after what she wants whether it’s in life or sex. I like that she’s one tough cookie and knows what she is and I think it shocks Thane that she knows and is totally cool with it….maybe he thought it would scare her. Fat Chance! Definitely worth the read and I’m looking forward to the next month of the Zodiac!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
The first in the Zodiac series by Brandy Walker and I am very intrigued. I like the overall concept, a challenge issued by Eros to Chloe, the youngest fate sister. She needs to match twelve couples, one per month for the ultimate treat, time with him. Our first story is Thane, a fallen angel who is trying to get back to Olympus and the lovely yet sassy eternal, Amara. The story flowed well, I was drawn into this world and the characters budding relationship. I look forward to the rest of this series.
Thane is a great quick read and, hopefully, is a good indication to what the rest of the Mystic Zodiac series will be like. Thane is a stubborn fallen angel and Amara is a spitfire minx who happens to be an Eternal. The attraction between Amara and Thane is strong and they light up the sheets or whatever available surface, when they give in to passion. What made this story more interesting, was the side story involving Eros and Clotho. I'm ready to dive into the next book of the series just to see what happens next between these two!
Good read. Really liked the part with Eros and Chloe - their sexual tension flew right of the page. Thane and Amara were a nice couple and I'd be interested in reading the next one in the series.
The story is Very verbose without moving the story or the characters along. The characters are not very likeable and if redemption is the goal we should be schoolkids to some good points, which we are not. There are some great scenes but no one seems to connect unless they are talking, unthinking, or having sex. Which gets really old after page 5.
Oh my another series I am going to have to have. Thank you for including hot and steamy love scenes. Thane sounds so yummy and sweet and Amara is one lucky woman. Keep up these wonderful stories I really enjoyed them.
This was such fun!! There were Angels and Demons and Immortals! It was steamy hot! I loved everything about this very creative tale. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
Thane is the first book in the Mystic Zodiac series. The series starts with a bet between Eros, the God of love & desire, and Chloe (Chlotho), the Fate of birth, in which he challenges her to make a love match per month for a year, the first of them being Thane and Amara. Let me start by saying that I had very high expectations for this story due to my love for Greek mythology and they were exceeded by miles! Something that threw me off in the beginning (in a good way) was how selfish Thane was. It was very refreshing to see a protagonist that isn’t so perfect and noble from the start. Thane was cast out of Olympus due to his bedding of a woman that belonged to Zeus and all his action for his 50 years on Earth were meant to redeem him in the eyes of the Gods so he would be allowed back home. By meeting Amara and helping here take care of her troubled brother, his selfish ways start to mend and they fall in love. I thought the ending for Amara and Thane very satisfying and the story arc of Eros and Chloe left me wanting more, for sure!
Wow this is my first full book about the God's and I have to say BRAVO. Brandy did a great job of keeping my emotions on roller coaster. I look for to the rest of this series
