Cat Green writes fun paranormal cozy mysteries set in exotic locales. She's visited most of them in her "day job" as a travel writer. You can find her walking in Manhattan's Central Park, dictation device in hand when she's not on the road.
Honestly, I wish this series had existed when I was a teenager — it would have been right up my alley. Haunted on Halloween Night is such a fun, engaging short story, making it perfect for younger readers who want something exciting without being overwhelming.
The writing is incredibly easy to read, and the characters are funny, relatable, and full of personality. It’s the kind of story that makes you want to follow Nina Brown on every adventure she has.
Overall, the Nina Brown Paranormal Series seems like a perfect, dynamic adventure series for the younger generation to enjoy, and this installment was an absolute delight to read.

Nina is back in Salem with Holly and Jasper to review the newly reopened Majestic Hotel. An incident at a sitting with a ouija board seems to call an old spirit to life so Nina has to prevent the spirit from taking control of a new living body.
It's a short read but very enjoyable and there's a lot packed into it.

Nina Brown is back in Salem with best friend Holly and stylish dog, Jasper, to review the newly reopened Majestic Hotel. The site of a tragic event a century ago, the hotel is rumored to be haunted, and among the guests is a ghost hunting group from Ireland. Nina and Holly also catch up with friend, Noah, and his tag-along, teen witch Blair. Eager to prove herself, Blair summons the ghost with an Ouija Board. But has she released something far beyond her capabilities to control?
Haunted on Halloween Night is a short story in the Nina Brown series. The return setting of Salem gives a chance to catch up with Wanda the Witch and Lillian the Librarian as well as Nina and Holly. Jasper as always is charming and adorable as he trots along on the adventures. Nina would prefer to ignore her supernatural abilities, but finds she doesn’t have much of a choice when Blair’s actions endanger everyone. While I understand Nina’s reluctance, I do hope we see her embracing her gifts more as the series continues. I also am happy that she may get a new relationship after her treatment from Brad. I found Blair to be insufferable and would have liked to see her get some consequences for her behavior. Overall a good Halloween mystery with a great cast of characters.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nina Brown along with her best friend Holly Broad and dapper, well-dressed French Bulldog, Jasper have been invited to review the Salem Majestic Hotel. The luxurious lobby and rooms are exquisite and General Manager, Chaz Atkins is gorgeous as well as charming. After meeting a friend for dinner, young witch Blair arrives and brings out a Ouija board and mistakenly releases a 1920s spirit who is determined to take possession of a body. Now it is up to Nina to save the person the spirit has chosen and rid the town of malevolent spirit. This is my honest and voluntary review of an advanced copy of this book.
This is the first book by author Cat Green but, I have definite plans to read all of her published works! Even though, this is a short story, 64 pages, it has enough suspense and humor to draw the reader in and hold their attention. There are a few grammatical errors but not enough to discourage me from wanting more. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Disclaimer: I received this ebook from BookFunnel and this is my honest opinion.
This is a short book but we'll worth your time to read. Friends go to Salem, one to write up on The Majestic Hotel the other there for support, along with their dog Jasper and his many outfits. Neither one expected what was about to happen and the writer didn't expect to find out what part she was about to perform. Check this book out it was really good and what a twist. Happy reading.
Nina and Holly check into the Salem Majestic Hotel with their French Bulldog, Jasper. Nina is going to write a review of the Hotel and they are to spend the weekend enjoying the sights of Salem along with parties for Halloween. Can the Nina handle the curse of the hotel? A great start to the Nina Brown Paranormal Series by Cat Green.
I've read several novels in this series from this author and although this one is short, it has the same cozy and witchy atmosphere her other books have. It is well set-up with suspense, lovable characters and even a good mystery despite the shortness.
It is amazing how Cat Green can weave a delightful murder mystery jam packed with suspense and humor. Jasper steals the show with the clothes Holly whips up for him to wear, but who wouldn't love to see a French Bulldog wearing a suit? Short, sweet and to the point, then add twists and turns and you have one very well written and enjoyable book.
Halloween in Salem is always spooky, but Nina, Holly, and Jaz are in for a terror-filled adventure when a teen witch creates a spirited catastrophe.
What a fun cozy! Jaz is his adorable fashionista self, thanks to Holly and her sewing machine, and Nina is always magic-ready as she unravels the mystery. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
This story has suspense, a mystery from the past, humor , and an adorable dog. The characters and plot are good. The pace of the story is good. There are witches and a ghost. I recommend this to those who like paranormal mysteries.
A haunted hotel with strange things happening during Holloween has the reader intrigued by this paranormal mystery read. I received this ARC copy via Booksirans and recommend this book to other readers.
I felt like I have read this same story by the same author. Not sure if she is stuck in the same thought process but most of her books are the same storyline.
I'm sorry but I won't be reading anymore of the authors books for that reason.
