I remember discovering Voice of the Martyrs early in my teens and being transfixed by the words I read. Real people facing such incredible odds during our lifetimes? And now, discovering this book that gives back to that organization? Perfection!

Torchlight Testimonies is filled with true stories showcasing God’s continual work in our lives. Beginning with a story by Max Lucado, it’s full of incredible testimonies that strikingly reveal the presence of God. If you’re looking for hopeful stories – and want your money to make a difference for God’s people, you might want this book, too.

My favourite story is about the Moms in Prayer International. Why? God takes the ordinary desires of moms laid out in prayer and does extraordinary things as a result of faithful prayer for children to turn back to the Lord.
Mark Sterns shares, "When gifting fades away, character remains." He honors his mentor Bob Miranda as the inspiration for this this quote.
I've met Kari Ingram in person and she blew my mind with what God asked her to do with his help. Enjoy the well-written story of her journey to a new job within the church.
