Silenced at the Book Show

Rate this book
A booksellers conference in the charming town of Seaside promises the perfect mix of business and pleasure for Saffi Graywood. She’ll deliver a keynote speech, sign copies of her latest Bedside Reader and enjoy a romantic getaway on the windswept Oregon coast with her favourite fisherman from Last Chance Cove.

But Saffi’s bookish weekend gets an unwanted plot twist when her obsessive online stalker shows up at the convention threatening to destroy her career. By morning, a body is discovered strangled with fairy lights—and Saffi’s editor is arrested for murder. Poppy has always been a killer when it comes to perfecting prose, but is she capable of actual murder?

Determined to clear her editor’s name, Saffi uncovers connections between the killing and a decades-old disappearance that powerful locals have buried deep. Between sipping Mexi-mochas at quirky coffeehouses and decoding clues hidden in a self-published memoir, Saffi races against time as a bomb cyclone barrels toward shore. Trapped in a town where carousels spin, painted beach stones hold secrets and friendly faces conceal deadly intentions, can Saffi unmask the killer before she becomes the next victim silenced in Seaside?

Silenced at the Book Show is the third book in the atmospheric Pacific Northwest Cozy Mystery series. Perfect for fans of Lauren Elliott, Merryn Allingham and readers who crave their mysteries with crashing waves, vintage RV charm and enough dark chocolate truffles to fuel a dangerous investigation.

I received a free copy from the publisher through Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

I enjoyed the first two books in this series and was looking forward to continue it. I thought after the first 2 books I knew what to expect from this series, but this book changed things up yet again. In this book Saffi travels by plane to a book sellers conference in the town of Seaside. No RV parks this time as she stays in a hotel. When her stalker shows up at the conference and has revealed a book similar to Saffi's things turn dangerous. Soon her stalker ends up dead and Saffi's editor is the main suspect.

I had again some trouble getting into this book with the way things get changed up. It started briefly in last Chance Cove before Saffi leaves for the book conference and things with her lover Troy seem to be going well again and he joins her for the conference. Once I got used to the new set-up I slowly got more into it and the mystery was a good one.

I really liked the mystery in this one. It kept me guessing, but there were enough clues to slowly narrow down on the real suspect. I liked that as it really felt like Saffi was narrowing things down. The reveal wasn't a surprise and made sense. I also liked how Saffi is the one to figure it out. I had wished for a few more questions to get answered at the end about how and why the murderer did certain things. The mystery is what kept me reading. With plenty of suspects and some interesting ties to people at the convention and the local people it was interesting to see the truth come to light. There are some interesting reveals along the way about secrets that come to light as well. And the mystery was just very well written.

I struggled more with the personal life and main character part of this book. I like how Saffi investigates and she has an interesting personality, but I don't always like her. The way she suspects in her own mind some of her close friends is a bit unnerving, but makes sense, but then when she actually let's those around her know that it just rubs me wrong. The way she doggedly investigates gets her to the truth, but not always makes her a likeable character to read about.

And I don't even know what's up with the romance. I just wish there was either more of it or less, as this way it's sort of there, but it just feels like a distraction from the plot and not as interesting as it could be either. I am just not feeling their romance especially with how Troy handles something in this book and Saffi quickly thinks Troy has ghosted her without trying other ways to get in contact, it just felt odd as she is supposed to be in love with this guy.

Unlike most cozies this book has a whole new cast of side characters in each book, although there are some brief mentions of her friends at Last Chance Cove at the start of this one, as well as Troy coming along and her editor Poppy already being mentioned in previous books. This does make it feel different than most cozies. I do like the change in scenery in every book and the town of Seaside really came alive in this one.

To summarize: I enjoyed this third book in this series. Just when I think I know what to expect from this series this book changes things up again with no RV park this time and a booksellers conference setting. I really liked the mystery, it kept me reading and invested. Plenty of suspects and I enjoyed seeing Saffi narrow things down as the book progresses. There are some secrets and reveals that come to light along the way and then the reveal of who the murderer is toward the end. I liked how Saffi was the one to figure things out. While Saffi is great at investigating murders and the way she stubbornly keeps at it, she isn't always the most likable character. She suspects even those closest to her and also let's them see that, which I didn't like. There also is a romance plot line I don't really care about and I didn't like how Troy does something or how Saffi jumps to conclusions and doesn't even try other ways to reach Troy or find out if he's okay. All in all this is a solid series with great mysteries even though I don't always like the main character.

This book is a delightful cozy mystery filled plenty of humour. The fast-paced plot keeps the mystery moving without ever feeling overwhelming and making it an easy story to get into. As this is the first book I’ve read in the series it was a good introduction to the characters and the world and I’m curious to read more from this series. This book was a fun quick read with clever bookish elements sprinkled throughout, its perfect if you love cozy mysteries and are looking for a read that is entertaining and comforting.

An auto buy author/series for me. First of all, I love the covers for this series. Second, the characters (new and old) are divine. Three, if there is an amateur sleuth in the real world, Saffi is it. If anyone can take on Jessica Fletcher, this series would be it.

Silenced at the Book Show can be read as a standalone.
Saffi, a non-fiction writer has spoken about her editor Poppy but this time, we get to meet the fast thinking hard working woman that helps to keep the Aunt Saffi books top shelf. We find our protagonist and publishing crew attending a book show New Year's day. (Perfect if you read by season/holiday.) Our RV loving writer flies to her destination with her new beau Troy. What should be a working vacation quickly takes a turn when Saffi's stalker shows up. Not only has he left a "gift" in her hotel room, but he has a booth at the show! His devious desires to bring Aunt Saffi down gets him kicked out of the show, but he isn't finished. Until someone finishes him! With multiple past and present mysteries to solve, Saffi steps up to the challenge to protect herself, her writing team and her new friends.

Love the storyline including the seaside town and its unsolved mysteries. Read the author notes and found out that it is a real town!

Speaking of notes, my review of book two commented on the multiple love dovey moments between Saffi and Troy. I definitely found their budding relationship much more manageable in this one.

I do have to share my favorite quote from this book, "He was close enough for me to smell the stench for decades. I don't know if I ignored the rot, or if it rubbed off on me and I couldn't smell it." This should definitely be pulled out and used to sell the book! What a great line. What is it talking about? It could be so many things, you just have to read the story to find out!

Solid 4.5 stars with that last half star blinking on and off. I had a few very minor things at the end that made me wonder if I missed something while reading. Thank you #Netgalley and #StormPublishing for allowing me to read an eArc of this book. The series will be purchased for my library.

Silenced at the Book Show by Kim Griswell is the third installment of the Pacific Northwest Cozy Mysteries and readers will be delighted by Saffi and her sleuthing ability.

Saffi Graywood, author of the Aunt Saffi Bedside Reader series, is heading to Seaside, Oregon to attend a bookseller’s conference where she will be the keynote speaker. Things get ugly when she is confronted by her stalker, Jay GoodVendor, who claimed she stole his idea for her successful Bedside Reader books. When Jay ends up murdered, her editor Poppy is quickly arrested because her pen was found near the body. Unfortunately, nobody could pinpoint when the pen went missing and Poppy was without a confirmable alibi.

Saffi started poking around and discovered that Jay was not a nice person and to know him is to hate him. Saffi struggled to find a viable suspect and when she found a notebook in his possession that hinted at an old crime in Seaside that might have implications even now, she had a new lead. The notebook belonged to Jemma, author of a self-published memoir, whom Saffi liked. She was also feeling bereft because Troy had left and she wondered if their time together was drawing to a close.

Things come to a head as she arranged for a showdown with the suspected killer as a bomb cyclone heads towards Seaside. Fortunately, she had arranged for Chief Boyd to show up for backup, however, he was late, leading to near fatal consequences. Even though readers may guess the killer, it was a fun read following all the clues to the end. Once again, we didn’t get to spend much time with our favorite cast of characters, Delilah and Glenn, but we got to meet new people and learn more about Poppy and her assistant Willow. Such a fun read!

I hope there are more in this series because Ms. Griswell’s description of Oregon makes me want to visit and makes me remember places I have visited. It is like coming home with every book.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Silenced at the Book Show delivers a satisfying blend of comfort and intrigue, firmly planting itself in the cozy mystery tradition while adding sharper twists and higher personal stakes. Set against the evocative backdrop of a Pacific Northwest booksellers’ convention, the novel makes excellent use of its bookish setting—crowded booths, author rivalries, publishing politics, and a moody coastal town that slowly reveals its secrets. The atmosphere feels immersive without becoming heavy, making the story easy to sink into from the start. The first chapter makes you want to live side by side with Saffi.

At the heart of the novel is Saffi Graywood, a successful author who finds what should be a celebratory professional event derailed by the sudden reappearance—and eventual murder—of her stalker. When her editor and friend Poppy becomes the prime suspect, Saffi’s determination to uncover the truth drives the narrative forward. The mystery unfolds at a brisk, engaging pace, layering red herrings, small-town tensions, and an ever-expanding list of plausible suspects. Let's praise the clever plotting, the steady escalation of danger, and an ending that feels earned rather than rushed.

One of the book’s strongest elements is its cast of colorful, sometimes delightfully exaggerated characters, who bring humor and personality to the investigation. The prose is clean and accessible, making the novel feel cozy and approachable while still keeping readers guessing. Food details, quirky accommodations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the publishing world add extra charm. Even though the mystery grows complex at times, it is an entertaining, twisty, and comforting read.

Silenced at the Book Show is especially well suited to fans of cozy mysteries who enjoy smart pacing, a literary setting, and a determined amateur sleuth willing to risk herself for the truth. This thrid installment can be fully enjoyed even if you haven't read the previous two books, and the small references to them here and there only makes you want to read them soon.

Saffi Graywood was looking forward to swapping the Rambler Trek recreational vehicle that was her home, for a hotel at Last Chance Cove, Oregon.
Saffi was a successful author, creator of Aunt Saffi's Bedside Reader and she, along with her editor Poppy Morales, and two assistants, were going to the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Trade Show where she was to was to be the keynote speaker.
Saffi's husband had died three years ago and she was now in a loving relationship with handsome, fishing tour guide and sometimes sleuthing partner, Troy. Troy was also spending the weekend with Saffi, as much as anything, to keep her out of trouble.......some hope.
Things started to go wrong as soon as the trade show opened, Jay GoodVendor, Saffi's nemesis, also had a stall, this was the man who had stalked her, the man who accused her of plagiarising his work, the man who was determined to ruin her life............. the man who turned up dead with a string of fairy lights round his neck. Steffi's stalker was dead and she and her team were the prime suspects.
This is a complex story with twists and turns, bucketsful of red herrings and multiple, zany, diverse residents of the beautiful coastal town......... oh, and just a touch of woo hoo.
Saffi is determined to clear Poppy and the team and she goes head to head with the long suffering chief of police who doesn't quite know what makes Saffi tick, will she help or hinder ?
It soon becomes apparent that the roots of this story go back many years, many people are harbouring secrets. The body count escalates, the tension rises as does Saffi's determination, she has got the bit between her teeth but could her bull headedness put a spoke in her relationship ?
I really enjoyed this story, although, I must admit that the vast number of characters had me forgetting who was who at times.
Thank you Storm Publishing and Net Gallery for this ARC, my review is totally voluntary.

Since the sudden death of Writer Saffi Greenwood‘s husband three years ago Saffi has been doing more writing while RV traveling.
And her adventure continues!
She is now is looking forward to attending the North Coast Booksellers Trade Show in Seaside. Oregon. She is also excited that her Manhattan editor Poppy Morales will be attending. Saffi will be delivering the keynote speech, as well as promoting and signing copies of Aunt Saffi’s final Bedside Reader.
However Jay GoodVender is an unwanted attendee. He just happened to be Saffi’s online stalker and is threatening to destroy her career.

Next a murder - someone was strangled! Yikes! Saffi’s editor Poppy is arrested for murder – needless to say Staffi is involved is trying to solve this!

I love a good cozy and although this was my first read in this series, I liked it and hope there will be a Book #4.

Silenced at the Book Show is exactly the kind of cozy mystery that feels like settling into a comfy chair with a hot drink — right before someone turns out the lights and things get deliciously sinister. Saffi Graywood is such an easy character to root for: smart, warm, a little chaotic, and always finding herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What starts as a dreamy weekend of books, beaches, and a bit of romance quickly spirals into something much darker when her online stalker appears and a body turns up at the conference. The murder setup is wonderfully quirky — fairy lights, a Surrey cycle, and a whole lot of small‑town secrets — and the pacing keeps things moving without ever losing that cozy charm.

I loved the mix of book‑industry drama, seaside atmosphere, and the kind of eccentric local characters that make these mysteries so fun. The decades‑old disappearance adds a nice layer of depth, and the clues tucked inside a self‑published memoir were a particularly clever touch. Plus, the looming bomb cyclone gives the whole story a tense, storm‑on‑the‑horizon energy that works really well.

This is a great pick for readers who enjoy their mysteries with humour, heart, and a strong sense of place. Between the Mexi‑mochas, the vintage RV vibes, and the steady drip of secrets, Silenced at the Book Show is an engaging, cozy escape with just the right amount of danger.

Bedside Reader author Saffi Graywood, was looking forward to the weekend at Seaside for the booksellers conference, once she'd had her memory prompted by her publisher Poppy. She was the keynote speaker and was due to sign ARCs. But when the person who'd been stalking her on her blog turned up at the conference, prepared to end Saffi's career, she was incensed - as was Poppy. When he was found the morning following the first day's events, dead, Chief Boyd immediately arrested Poppy, with Saffi high on his suspect list.

Saffi was determined to disobey the police chief and continued investigating. When she linked the disappearance of a young woman, decades prior, to the current day's fiasco, she knew she was onto something. But she also knew she was putting herself into danger. Would she solve the latest murder mystery?

Silenced at the Book Show is the 3rd in the Pacific Northwest Cozy Mysteries by Kim Griswell and it was filled with books, and more books; mysteries and intrigue; a stubborn police chief and more. A fun read which I recommend.

With thanks to NetGalley & Storm Publishing for my digital ARC to read and review.

Silenced at the Book Show is the 3rd book in Kim Griswell's Pacific Northwest Cozy Mysteries series and it continues to be great. The characters are likable and the cozy mystery kept me guessing. Saffi Graywood is attending a Book Show to promote her Aunt Saffi Bedside Readers. Almost all of the characters are new in each book. Her editor Poppy is there along with her staff Willow and Reese. The book show staff includes Eileen, Fia and.George. Saffi brings her boyfriend Troy. He is going to hang out with a friend while Saffi is at the.book show. I can't decide whether I like Troy as Saffi's boyfriend. Sometimes he is supportive and often he is not,p so we will see. Saffi's stalker Jay is at the book show and he is causing a lot of problems for a lot of people especially Saffi. A body is found and Poppy and Saffi are suspects. Saffi meets Jemma who is an author along with some locals and Police Chief Boyd. There are a lot of secrets to sort through and there is quite a bit going on so the book was hard to put down! This is an interesting cast of characters. I was on the right track to solving the mystery but didn't quite get there which is the fun part for me. I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and the series continues to be great! I received an advance copy for free from NetGalley and Storm Publishing and I voluntarily leave this review.

Saffi Graywood is very excited about attending the latest booksellers conference in Seaside, Oregon where she's the keynote speaker and will be promoting the latest edition of her bestselling Bedside Readers. She will be getting together with her publishing team, spending some alone time with boyfriend Troy, and enjoying a different area of windswept coastline. What she hadn't expected was coming face to face with her stalker or the unexpected death of another conference attendee. Determined to assist an unwelcoming police chief, Saffi begins her own investigation but when those she loves find themselves in danger and the weather closes in will she begin to regret her decision?

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Storm Publishing, but the opinions expressed are my own. The third outing for Kim Griswell's Pacific Northwest Cozy Mystery series is a great read which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is far more at stake for Saffi in this book which is fast moving and exciting from the start with plenty of clues, red herrings, and a great new location to get to grips with. I did miss the regular protagonists from Last Chance Cove but there were interesting new characters to meet, some of whom I hope will appear again. Recommended

Silenced at the Book Show by Kim Griswell is the third installment in the Pacific Northwest Cozy Mysteries series. Bookseller Saffi Graywood heads to a conference in Seaside, Oregon expecting a relaxing weekend of keynote speeches, book signings, and quality time with her fisherman boyfriend. But when her online stalker shows up threatening her career and a body turns up strangled with fairy lights, Saffi's cozy getaway turns into a murder investigation. With her editor arrested for the crime, Saffi digs into the case and uncovers ties to a decades-old disappearance that someone in town wants to keep buried.

This was my first book in the series, and I had no trouble jumping right in. Griswell gives enough context that I never felt lost, which I always appreciate when picking up a series mid-stream. The Oregon coast setting is atmospheric and cozy, complete with quirky coffeehouses, painted beach stones, and a looming storm that adds urgency to the mystery. Saffi is a likable protagonist, and the bookish elements throughout made this feel like a love letter to readers and booksellers. The mystery kept me guessing, and I enjoyed the mix of present-day sleuthing and cold case threads.

A fun, quick read that has me curious to go back and start from the beginning of the series.

Silenced at the Book Show by Kim Griswell was a fun and engaging cozy mystery that pulled me in right away, even though this was the first book in the series that I’ve read. I never felt lost jumping in at book three, as the background and character dynamics were clearly explained without feeling repetitive. It works very well as a standalone while still making me curious about the earlier books.

Saffi Graywood is a likable and easy protagonist to root for. I enjoyed following her through the investigation, especially as the mystery unfolded around a bookish setting that felt tailor made for readers. The small town atmosphere, combined with the booksellers conference, created an interconnected web of suspects that kept me guessing. I liked how a cold case was woven into the present day murder, adding depth and tension to the story.

The pacing was solid and made this a quick, enjoyable read. The bookish elements were a definite highlight for me, from behind the scenes publishing details to the cozy conference setting. Overall, this was a charming, well plotted mystery with a strong sense of place and an engaging main character. I’d happily continue the series and spend more time with Saffi and her world.

Saffi Graywood, author of the famous Aunt Staffi Bedside Books, is about to enjoy a new year’s celebration with her friends in Last Chance Cove, when she gets a call from her publisher reminding her of a book conference starting tomorrow, not the next weekend as Saffi thought. She gets there in time only to find the man who’s been stalking her there, marketing his own book - the original bedside book. He claims that she stole his idea and plans to sue, but with 24 hours, he’s dead, strangled by holiday lights. Of course Saffi’s group didn’t have anything to do with it, right? But who else had a motive? Saffi ends up having to juggle her conference duties with her sleuthing duties, trying to find out whodunit.

This was the first book in the Pacific Northwest Mystery series, and I enjoyed it. It wasn’t over complicated - perfect for a cold afternoon when you want to snuggle under a warm blanket. It felt like there was too much telling and not enough showing, but the characters were fun. Again, perfect for a cold afternoon.

This was a really enjoyable mystery from start to finish.Saffi travels to Seaside for the annual Booksellers Convention, only to discover that her stalker has followed her there. Things quickly escalate from unsettling encounters and creepy flower deliveries to murder. While Saffi and her editor, Poppy, are certainly relieved to see the end of him, neither of them is responsible, despite Poppy being arrested by the local police chief.Determined to clear her friend’s name, Saffi takes it upon herself to uncover the truth. As she digs deeper, the small town of Seaside begins to reveal its secrets, and it becomes clear that there are plenty of suspects with motives of their own.

This is a fast-paced, twisty mystery filled with quirky (and delightfully over-the-top) characters, surprising turns, and real stakes as Saffi puts herself in danger to solve the case. I was kept guessing until the end and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

An excellent read for fans of cozy mysteries with sharp twists.

Saffi is back and ready to go! This time she's off to a bookshow in a shore town in Oregon where she is to participate as the featured author and of course to sign books and give out some publisher ARCs of her newest edition coming out in the spring.

She knew there might be trouble when she posted a blog post about the show and her stalker said he'd see her there. Sure enough it didn't take long for trouble to follow her, Poppi and her assistants into the bookshow. Of course Saffi continues to sleuth even after being asked to stay out of it by the local police. In true Saffi fashion she does her thing through many unexpected twists and turns. I just love Saffi and her adventures and love hearing about her struggles in relationships, etc that make her seem all the more real.

If you're on the lookout for a cozy mystery series set in the Pacific Mortgage with an author living in an RV female main character check this series out!
I can't wait for the next installment of Saffi ❤️❤️

I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving my thoughts 🎉 Thank you NetGalley and Storm publishing for my copy.

Silenced at the Book Show was such a satisfying cozy mystery — the kind that feels comforting but still keeps your brain working. The pacing really worked for me: it starts gently, letting you settle into the world, and then gradually tightens until the mystery fully takes over. I never felt rushed, but I also never felt bored.

The setting is a standout. A book show in the Pacific Northwest is already a dream setup, and the author leans into it beautifully — stacks of books, quiet tension, and that slightly moody coastal atmosphere that makes everything feel more intriguing. It felt immersive without being overly descriptive.

Character-wise, Saffi is a strong and likable lead. She’s observant, grounded, and easy to root for, and the supporting cast adds just enough suspicion and charm to keep you guessing. The prose is clean and approachable, which made this an easy, enjoyable read from start to finish.

A great pick if you love cozy mysteries with smart pacing, a bookish setting, and a protagonist you actually enjoy spending time with.

Saffi is scheduled to go the Northwest Booksellers Conference in Seaside, Oregon. It’s being held near New Years.
Things are immediately off-kilter as the man stalking her Aunt Saffi’s blog is at the conference. He is trying to ruin her reputation as the writer of Aunt Saffi’s Bedside Reader. Her editor Poppy is up in arms. A lot of feathers are ruffled.
Then he is murdered and Saffi and Poppy are the prime suspect in the police chief’s estimation.
Saffi knows there is more going on under the surface and she knows she didn’t kill her stalker.
This mystery has a number of elements that are intertwined. Past and present happenings in Seaside are involved.
The book did bog down a bit in the middle for me. Overall, I found it a really good read, and I enjoyed visiting Seaside by book.

I really like Saffi as a sleuth and the RV element to the series, Saffi stays in a trailer in a quiet part of Seaside once her hotel becomes unavailable. It sounded like a wonderful set up.
Thanks to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read Silenced at the Book Show.

A really good mystery! Saffi goes to Seaside for the annual Booksellers Convention. Unfortunately, so does her stalker, who ends up causing her no end of trouble, from creepy flowers to getting himself murdered. As much as Saffi and her editor, Poppy, wanted to see the last of him, they didn't kill him, even though the police chief arrests Poppy. So it's up to Saffi to find out who did kill him and clear Poppy's name. Like any small town, Seaside has its secrets and plenty of them come to light during Saffi's investigations. A very twisty murder mystery with plenty of suspects, crazy (in a good way!) characters, and Saffi putting life and limb on the line to uncover the truth. Excellent read!
Thanks to Netgalley, Storm Publishing, and Kim Griswell for the free ARC. All opinions are my own.

Saffi is excited to attend a book conference in Seaside, but horrified to realize she mistakenly thought she had another week to prepare! A quick flight north and she makes it in time for the show only to find that her stalker has gone public and is accusing her of stealing his idea for the Aunt Saffi’s Bedside Readers. He even has his own booth at the book show! Saffi and her editor Poppy are infuriated at the circumstances and want to be sure Saffi is safe.
The stalker is found dead and there are a myriad of suspects, but when Poppy is accused of the murder, Saffi needs to investigate.
This was a fun cozy mystery in a location very familiar to me and I enjoyed reading it. The characters are engaging and we got to meet new characters in this book in the series. This is now one of my favorite series.
Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is third book of Pacific Northwest Cozy Mystery series, but the first I have read. "Aunt" Saffi is certainly an interesting character! I was drawn to this book by the title since it certainly involved a murder at a book show. The author does a good job describing what the authors and publishers crew have to go through to sell their books at such a venue.

The descriptions of the cute Pacific coast town are intriguing, but the first half of the book stated to drag. Fortunately, things began to pick up half-way through and really get exciting at the three-quarter mark to the end.

Fans of Aunt Saffi will want to read this as she shows great determination in the face of danger to solve all the mysteries that this sleepy town has hidden.

Book 3 in this series. I read and enjoyed book 1 but somehow missed book 2. However this was not a problem as this book could easily be read as a stand alone.

Saffi Graywood is attending a booksellers conference where she is the key note speaker. She brings boyfriend Troy with her and looks forward to a fun time in a seaside setting. Sadly her online stalker is there in person threatening all sorts of outrageous things. Then there is a murder and Poppy, her Editor, is arrested. Saffy is on the case.

Well written characters and an interesting bookish setting make this a very readable book. The story is well paced and the possibilities for 'who dunnit' are many. Four stars from me and I will have to see if I can make time to find and read book 2!

My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

🐚this is the 3rd installment in a series. Just an fyi cause I didn't know but I'm pretty sure u can read this as a standalone.

This was a nice cozy little mystery & I absolutely loved the setting . Moving to the South kind of-ish recently I miss the beach sooooo much !!! 🏖️
The book convention setting is also super fun as a reader & these Aunt Saffi books sound super fun ! I would definitely read them.
Also I'm a foodie so hearing what she was eating/drinking was fun too & a thing I personally enjoy in books.

This book can be read as a standalone but I was slightly confused about a couple things .. nothing I couldn't figure out though.
All in all this was a fun little read & I enjoyed it.
Ohhh omg I love mermaids purse & the inn but if definitely choose the purse !

She soon becomes trapped in town when a bomb cyclone reaches shore.Desperate to clear her editor’s name Saffi moves full speed ahead to find the killer before she becomes the next victim.

Although this is the third book in a series, it still works as a standalone novel. When Saffi goes to a book fair to be a keynote speaker, murder and assaults happen around her. Being the observant type, she tracks down information and eventually solves the mystery, as well as an old one too. Studded with food references, caravan references and variety of interesting characters, this fits into the genre of cozy murders. This was an entertaining read, and the way the story came out in the end was credible. Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for providing an ARC to read and review this book.

Saffi nearly forgets to attend a prestigious booksellers' convention where she is a keynote speaker. Even though she gets spend some quality time with her lover Troy, she soon wishes she had never left Last Chance Cove. It's a well-paced, complex cosy mystery with an impulsive, inquisitive and intelligent amateur sleuth who has found fame as an author. Full of emotion and suspense, you are constantly wondering what will happen next. The story raises contemporary issues through its characters and narrative. I like the characters, the bookish setting and the immersive investigation Saffi draws you into.

The third in the series has the main character Saffi Graywood at a book convention where she stumbles into investigating a murder. It’s just that this time she is a possible suspect, along with her editor Poppy. I love the fact that she lives in an RV, she’s not perfect, isn’t wafer thin and likes her food. The story has enough twists, turns and suspects to keep even the pickiest reader satisfied. And I didn’t work everything out until almost the end. This would make a great tv show, with RVs, a cosy Seaside town with plenty of colourful characters and a very likeable main character.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publishers and the author for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is the first book in the series that I have read, but I didn't feel like I was lost with not reading the first two books. I am sure there are some plots that are interconnected, but the overall theme of this book and the backgrounds for the main characters in the book were very well developed even for someone who has not read the whole series.

The FMC was a fun and likable person to follow throughout the book. The mystery and the interconnectedness of the small town had me guessing who and why a cold case was connected to a current day murder.

This was a fun, quick read. I especially loved the bookish elements.
