These are great novels for young readers. This collection is incomplete as there are other books in the series which have been written since this collection came out. Ragweed and Poppy being the most recent. Avi is an outstanding author.

hmm... there are actually 5 books. Ragweed, Poppy, Poppy and Rye, Ereth's Birthday, and Poppy's Return. oh well.

Ragweed: A golden mouse from the Brook goes on an adventure to the city, only to find that there are cats everywhere! (well, not really. only 2 cats that really bother them.) Ragweed meets Clutch, a city mouse who died her hair green and has a purple plastic earring. Also, Blinker, a white pet mouse escaped from his home and found ragweed and clutch. and blah blah blah... then the cheese squeeze club gets destroyed... start a new club called cafe independence... and totally wash away the bad cats with a hose!

thats it. im only summarizing one book... too tired to do anymore.

This is a really good series for upper graders or as a read-aloud to 2nd or 3rd graders, depending. Just quality literature and sooooo cute!! These mice would definitely give Desperaux and Ratatouille a run for their money on the silver screen.
