The Past Revisits
Do you have authors that you always enjoy but hesitate to start their latest book? That's how I am with a few authors, including Anna Ellis and I finally realized why. There is just too much time between books so the sooner I start, the longer I have to wait for the next book. I feel more comforted knowing I have an unread book than waiting. I'm trying to break the cycle. Truly, I am. 🤷😉
On to the reason we are gathered here today. Callie finally has her own book in this series. She played a big role in most of the naughtiness that took place in Office Plays and she's made other appearances in recent years but this is undoubtedly the best look we've had at what makes this woman tick.
4.5 stars - I haven't always liked Callie but this book and series, in general, have brought me around. I love how she takes charge of her sexuality, tells guys like it is, and makes no apologies. She's also more vulnerable than even she realizes.
Things don't always go her way, like that encounter in the bathroom, but every now and then there's an unexpected surprise that brings things into perspective. While I was a little surprised at one development, I liked how drama-free it ended. I also like how it left the door open for something more for Callie's future.
The timeline overlaps with the others in the book club. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading in order.

This is the third book in the Fantasies Book Club series. This book really picks up the pace and fills in a bunch of holes in the first two books - Gemma and Emme. In the Collection book I’m reading, it also tells of two prequel books about Callie which would be helpful in filling in some of the holes in the Callie story, and I’d hope in the Gemma and Emme story.
Unlike the previous two books, I feel as though I know Callie better, although I’m a little short in understanding her. She does have some escapades but appears to be heading for a HEA.

Her appetite is voracious!
This is book three in the Fantasies Book Club series, and is about Callie and her hot s3xcapades! She is insatiable, and has a voracious appetite. Callie likes all things s3x – she likes having it, talking about it and reading about it. This is why she’s frequenting the men’s room at the Fantasies Night Club, as part of a field trip for her book club!
Nia, who is her former sister-in-law, was the one who got her involved in the saucy book club. But since joining the group. the other members – Gemma, Emmy and Malcolm – have become good friends too. They’re all having a fun night out, and Callie is being propositioned for the second time, but chooses to take care of her Emmy.
There are other men who pursue her too. Michael is her ex-something… she’d worked with him and slept with him, despite breaking one of her own rules. He ignored her afterwards, hence putting a real dampener on those feelings she’d been developing for him. Then she inadvertently catches up with Marcus. Now that was hot and unexpected. But can she commit to anything more than just casual encounters? I give this book four and a quarter stars.

Callie is the third book in the Fantasies Book series. All I can say is hold onto your panties as they will combust otherwise. Callie may not be able to find true love but she sure does have a great time trying to find it. This woman has more action than you can even dream about and she enjoys every pleasurable moment of it. Ever since her divorce she has been exploring and having fun with her bucket list. She likes to keep things superficial and easy. But that changes when Marcus comes into her life. He is a man who sees her and wants more than just one night with the beautiful and talented woman. Will he be able to break Callie's walls and show her what love and relationships can be?
I enjoyed Callie's story. She is a complicated woman but yet also has a lot of heart and emotions that she has hidden for years, even from herself.

Our heroine is used to keeping things casual and her options open. But with our hero back in town, she is seriously considering changing her ways.
This is book three of the series, but the stories are only loosely connected. You can read them in any order.
This is novella length erotic story about a lady with commitment issues. As with everything else I have read by the author, the story is well written, easy to read and very steamy. The characters are also well developed and realistic, which makes the entire scene come together. The plot is easy to follow and I loved watching the chemistry build between our characters all the way to the steamy conclusion. Overall, a very enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what our author comes up with next.
Highly recommended.

'Callie' by Anna Ellis is the third book in her Fantasies Book Club series and tells the story of Callie, who believes in having fun and keeping things casual, and Marcus, the one guy she couldn't forget.
Ms. Ellis has written another compelling book in her series. Callie and Marcus have a past and neither could forget the other. Through happenchance they are thrown together. Great writing with interesting characters and a fun plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their coffee.

Callie and her friends have started a book club where they pick erotic romances and more, not boring dramas like most clubs. She is slowly going through her bucket list since her divorce, not wanting a relationship with anyone... until Marcus. When he reappears later on, things start to click between them.
The characters have great backstories and determination. The storyline has plenty of drama, surprises, great dialogue and intense feelings. Loved the situations they got into, especially Callie, as they always got her to open up. The chemistry was terrific and the ending was great.

It’s a book club group that seems to talk more about their s*x lives than the books they read. It focuses on Callie and her failure to find love even though she excels at hookups including with her ex-husband, and she dreams of one particular guy who disappeared too soon. The last few chapters had more depth than the beginning of the book and gave a good HEA.

Since her divorce, Callie is not letting a moment of life pass her by. She prefers to keep things simple and easy, but when her past comes back things get a bit complicated. This is a fast and easy read with hot moment that you will find yourself melting in your seat.

Callie struggles with men. Not in all areas, just in the 'relationship' area. She isn't willing to go through heartache again, so she emotionally keeps men at a distance. Unfortunately, there is one man not willing to let her slip away.

This was such a wonderful love story. I enjoyed it very much. The storyline was spot on and was well executed. You have action, drama and adventure and love all in one book. loved the characters, I enjoyed this book can't wait for their next one. I recommend it.
