A good read.
This covers the WW2 environment of female relationships with England GIs, Nazi supporting spies and how they were caught, they D Day invasion, and the times both leading up to, and following, even after the end of the war.
Great detail of female relationships, unmarried pregnancy, and stresses arising from working away from home.
Once again Celia Imre displays the high level of detail provided by her research of the events of these times.

Really interesting book and particularly topical at the time that I read it with all the D Day celebrations. Being a war baby I had heard of many stories of rushed romances from my parents generation and of secretive spying missions . Very believable
