Overall this was very shallow and rushed. That’s kind of what you get from a 4-issue mini-series of a large-scale story, but it was still disappointing, especially knowing what Johnson is capable of (see his run on Superman or Hulk for better examples of his writing).
That being said, reading this sparked so many ideas for me I couldn’t help but enjoy it for that reason alone. I would love to have a crack at writing a Marvel Zombies story, as I know some interesting directions to take the property that have potential to affect the Marvel Universe as a whole in interesting ways and can provide a lot more opportunity for future story development.
All in all, there’s not much here to recommend, but it isn’t horrible or anything; just kind of mediocre rushed plot.

I really enjoyed this horror marvel comic. It's either the second or third marvel zombies story written, but for me it was a fresh reading as I haven't read the 2005/06 first Marvel zombies story-line.
The story follows Peter (Spiderman) looking after Reed & Sue Richards' children, since the whole roster of Marvel Superheroes succumb to the Zombie Virus/ Galactus Hivemind. The story eventually, has Peter, Sue, Franklin (& a few others), trying to put a stop to the "Respawned" virus which is emanating from the Corpse of Colossal Galactus.

Spiderman versus 95% of the Marvel Roster. What could he possibly do against such uneven odds?
The idea of having Spiderman, on his own, against all these evil "Zombie Superheroes", is just really cool and I think choosing Peter as the main character fits well, as his up-beat, heroic personality juxtaposes with the extremely dark, and depressing situation he finds himself in. The writers play with this idea a bit, and we see how the destruction of the world ( and the superhero world) by the zombies, has broken him. Peter, is just hemmed in, on all sides, by former friends, who are now ravenous mindless flesh eaters. I think that's a pretty cool set-up for a story!

Peter (understandably) loses faith.
Anyway, it's a horror comic, and it's quite creepy/ eerie, particularly, the first issue, which sets the sinister tone extremely well, great to read at night-time :0. Ultimately, the story becomes more heroic in nature, and I would definitely recommend to read these five zombie superhero-filled issues.

The first issue creates a tense frightening atmosphere. It's frankly utter mayhem.
