Vanquished through Faith, Obedience and the Power of the One True God, the Glamorth is no more, but Evan MacKeth is unprepared for the cost of victory. Crippled from his terrible wounds, he languishes in the palace, where his only solace comes from the bright eyes and soft smile of Aine Ceaillaigh. But shadows begin to stir. The hand of darkness moves from many quarters, and a terrifying mystery threatens to destroy everything Evan has come to love.
I was born in Lafayette Louisiana, attended High School and College in Wichita Kansas, and moved to the Dallas area in 1975. Here I eventually joined the Dallas Police Department. In 1979 I joined the United States Marine Corps and served four years in California, Okinawa, the Philippines, and Korea. In 1980 I married the love of my life, Cindy Powell, a wonderful woman who had the courage, patience, and dedication necessary to be an enlisted Marine’s wife and later, upon my return to the Dallas Police Department, the wife of a Police Officer as well. During my tenure with the Department I was assigned to the Southeast and Central Patrol Bureaus, and the Youth Division. I spent my last ten years as a detective with the Gang Unit and retired in 2001.
I have been a writer for many years. Since Elementary School when I penned the epic tale Five Men In Space, I have been interested in literary pursuits. During High School I turned out masses of pulp fiction centering around a savage hero ala Conan the Barbarian. Some of these stories still exist though they shall remain forever and mercifully hidden from the general public. Yet during all that time, as I struggled to improve my craft, there was always something missing in the words I wrote--a deeper meaning. Beyond the adventure, tragedy, and love experienced by my characters there was nothing more significant than the events themselves. Following my acceptance of Christ as my personal Savior in 1982, I began writing with the intention of glorifying the Lord. It was only then that my works took on a deeper meaning.
I present for your enjoyment a series of books that follow the adventures of diverse characters through epic battles, desperate love, and service to God’s Will in a land far away, once upon a time.
Set in Medieval times, this story about Evan MacKeth will inspire boys to be warriors for Iosa Christus (Jesus Christ.)
In this sequel, Evan's job is to stem the tide of evil-goblins, false priests of moloch-all while recovering from previous wounds. A red and black bird acts as his guardian angel, of sorts; and the dialogue between them is amusing.
I do have some cautions for sensitive readers however. Having been a marine, the author does not shy away from bloodshed and the kissing scenes might give young boys "cuties." ;) The writing is not the best, but I enjoyed this series anyway.
These books are great there like having a dream and then when you finish them you have to wake up and come back to the real world. Almost depressing.... ;)
