A pulse-pounding drama full of twists and turns. This series is fast-paced, straight to the point, and packs a powerful punch that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Red Series is composed of self-contained stories – they can be read in any order.
Well this one started out M-E-S-S-Y from the very first chapter! Definitely a whodunnit & for a while there, it was a who dun what as readers are unsure exactly where this missing persons case is going!
When Kaycee disappears on the morning of her wedding, this investigation took so many twists and turns. I was suspicious of every single character & trusted no one, the amount of mouth dropping moments, I simply couldn’t count! If you enjoy messy stories with complicated family dynamics, this one’s for you!
I was definitely on pins and neddles like who killed Kaycee. The author did a good job of making me think that it was multiple people. And them twists and huge plot twist at the end, had me like I know you lying. Troy got on my nerves, Nate got on my nerves. Thought Kaycee was innocent, until I realize she wasn't. Chile I was on the edge of my seat trying to find out who the killer was and why.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Tanisha Stewart did an amazing job with this book a part of her thrilling Red Series! This book blew my mind! There were so many twists that I never saw coming! The book gripped me from the start with Katrina, Troy, and Kaycee all the way to the end with Chester, Josslyne, and Maria. This book was so good that I read it in one sitting. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are a psychological thriller fan!
Ma'am, I sat down to start this read, and did not move until I finished. It pulled me in quick, and I couldn't stop. Mind blown!! 🤯 I knew we were in for a treat in the first chapter, after learning of Troy and Katrina's connection. But nothing could have prepared me for the exhilarating journey you took me on! 😤
When Kaycee doesn't show up to her wedding, and the search for her begins, it seemed everyone was a suspect. 👀 The twists and turns in this thang were wild, and every time I believed there was a lead the plot thickened, and I was filled with more questions. The way I spoke to my kindle like I was a crazy person makes me laugh now. But while I was reading, I was like yeah you guilty, why would you do that? Then she would put a doubt in my mind and lead me to someone else, to start the process all over again. I could not believe the evil, manipulative, and calculated things that were happening in the dark, and all the people who were involved! Whew...🤯
Now Miss Maria has an ace in the hole, and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Josslyne done f'd around and found out, that she ain't the only woman with a plan. 😂 The conclusion to this is going to be epic, and I can't wait. Great job Tanisha!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
A short read with lots of plot twists. This story reminds us we never really know people. The phrase don't judge a book by its cover, no pun, comes to mind.
At this point I am convinced if at some point the line "Just know that I will call, and when I do, you'd better answer." with the transfer of a Burner Phone the series will continue. With as many books I've read I have yet to catch a repeater. I have yet just to lose interest. What has happened is that I'm sitting down giving all my attention to the "movie" that is going through my head as I'm reading the book. No, seriously if you can't see the visual why even read the book.
That Chester oh yeah he thought he was slick with his ole manipulative self. Troy I wish he would grow a pair. Katrina I truly felt sorry for her. Josslyne with friends like that I don't need enemies. Maria oh she slick and in charge shocked the heck outta me.
Wow! The author did an amazing job with writing this story. The suspense and twists in this book were incredible. Just when you think you have things figured out, you are blown away by another incident. You connect well with the characters. This is a real page-turner that you will not want to put down. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was horrible! I couldn’t really get into the story because of the narration and the sound was off at times. I had to adjust the volume to even hear some of the chapters. Not sure if I will finish the series.
Wow, this is my second read from The Red Series, and it did not disappoint. It’s a little hard to talk about this book without spoiling it, so I’ll only mention a few things about the plot and then focus on how it made me feel.
We follow two sisters, Kaycee and Katrina. It’s Kaycee’s wedding day, but everything goes horribly wrong. Both sisters and everyone in their circle have secrets. This is a psychological murder mystery/thriller that’s so twisty I’d bet money you won’t figure out the killer until the author wants you to. This was a plot twist done right.
I immersive read it and had some issues with the audiobook. The sound quality seemed off. I would recommend not listening to it, but I don’t know if I disliked it enough to say that definitively. That’s all I’ll say. I’m really loving this author right now.
I couldn’t even make it through the first chapter. Also, the sound quality in the audiobook is not good. It sounds like it was recorded with a cell phone in someone’s garage.
Listen … never would have guessed it. The twists and turns in this book. Wild! But it’s the ending for me because I know there’s more craziness coming.
I ate this book right on up. I think I’m starting to like multi POV more and more cause it adds so much to the story. I felt like I knew who the killer was and I was dead ass wrong! Guessing plots is the only time I enjoy being wrong in life lol. There were so many twists in this and I think it flowed very well. I felt like it was a little rushed at certain parts but overall a nice and quick, thrilling read! I had a great time with it :)
This book!! Just get comfy, because once you pick it up, you're going to be in it until it's done. So just cancel your day. Tanisha just drops twists like the rain drops from the sky. She don't care about any of her readers' psychological well-being 😂 by the end of the first chapter my mouth was hanging open like, "She's... wait, WHAT!?" It's messy. It's fast-paced. It's twisty. And you're gonna like it.
In her words: a messy messy tale! And I enjoyed every word of it!
Ms. Stewart, I forgive you for making me wait! It was worth it! You had me on edge trying to figure out whodunnit. Girl, I had no clue. Then the twist, the second twist, and then another twist… I don’t drink but I feel like I need to start. As always, loved it!
This was a good thriller. I was invested in the messiness from the beginning and the twists were a good payoff. I think they would have paid off more strongly if the characters who were so significant in the overall conclusion of the book and the meat of the story were better integrated throughout. It was a bit longer than necessary though with lots of repetition and filler between big plot points.
I’ve enjoyed this series, but this one here is my favorite. The drama began early on, causing me to point fingers at whom I assumed was the culprit. This is a memorable page turner with well written characters and unpredictable situations.
The Bridesmaid is a wild ride filled with drama, betrayal, and a whole lot of deception! My head is spinning from all the surprising twists and turns. If you're a fan of messy, scandalous drama, you’re going to absolutely love this!
The twist in this book was everything I didn't know I needed to listen to on a wash day. My hair is set. This is a very unpredictable installment of this (Red series), It depicts how often things are rarely as they seem to be.
Fast read while on a train ride. This novella was something! This is one of those books where everyone had a reason to kill Kaycee! I love the twists and turns, it is definitely fast paced. Skeletons were falling out of closest left and right. The characters are not completely flushed out, so I didn’t lock unto any particular person as the culprit, kept me guessing for a minute. Good read, made my train ride interesting 😂
3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ MESSY is an understatement. Every wedding has its drama but lord have mercy. - murder - secret baby - MULTIPLE side “quest” (sexual relationships) - Rich baby daddy problems - revenge from every side
