Getting drop-kicked into Hell by the Archangel Michael wasn’t exactly in the Biblical plan for me. Everlasting servitude. An existence of platitudes. Those worship songs that never seemed to end.



But most importantly? Freedom. You ingrates had it. I wanted it. Badly enough to rebel against the Almighty and kick-start my descent to the Pit.



No longer a seraph, I became the High Demon Princess Asmodeus – Destroyer of Cities, Goddess of Lust, premiere Soul Collector on the Surface for the past six centuries, and – as it turns out – one hell of a Lyft driver. When I clawed my way out during the Plague, the only thing I ever wanted was peace. An existence removed from the control of Heaven and torture of Hell. Each soul I collected for Lucifer fortified his power, but I didn’t care. What did Lucifer’s pissing match with God really matter to me? So long as I was left alone.



Then came Zev Hartman—tattooed holy warrior, heir to the Brotherhood that’s been hunting my kind since Constantinople, and an absolute pain in my ass. Binding me to his side with blood magic, dragging me on a cross-country road trip to steal the key to the Orcian Gates—the only entrance to the Pit on this continent.



I can’t fly. My Father made sure of that when his lapdog wrenched my birthright from my back. I can’t run away. The binding spell not only affects my spirit, but that of my beloved companion and High Priestess, Marie. An allegiance greater than my desire for freedom compels me to go with him – to the Appalachians, to the Hollow, to the Warden. Where I may not return.



But with each day that passes, with each trial we face together, I feel myself changing. Becoming something different. Unique. This hunter, who has his own shame and sins to conceal underneath the arcane spell work tattoos, sees me as more than my contracts, more than my litany of mistakes. Hell, even more than the masterpiece of torturous scars that have been carved into my body like a temple by Lucifer himself, when I was his betrothed.



And now the question remains – Will I forever be the demon Asmodeus, bound by my past, or will I rise and become something more?

Thank you for the ARC read. I definitely recommend! The spice is 🤌🏻🤌🏻 I loved the banter, monologue, and the wittiness of the characters. The personalities make it such a fun ride. Plus you have a demon and demon hunter.. what could go wrong? The ending 😮! And lastly, the mouth on that demon hunter 🫠 can’t wait for book 2!

THE BEST BOOK IVE EVER READ. Nah fr fr, to be fair ive only read a couple books(in the 30’s) but GODDAMN 😭 This book went from just comedic comfort to 🌶️ in in 2 chapters (which feels like 0.002 seconds.)

Walking into this book I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, I read the disclaimer and went right on my way. ALSO THE ART OF CHEMISTRY between Az and Zev is SO GODDAMN GOOD. IT HAD ME FALLIN IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK.

The tempo in this book was so magnificent, it had me savoring each individual word on every single paragraph on every single page and that’s coming from someone who normally skims through books and doesn’t really get a huge grasp of the plot.


I kept telling my wife, after every other chapter that I was absolutely and utterly obsessed with this book. This book will make you laugh fall in love, possibly make you become hot and bothered. But will also break you, I for one never thought something as small as words on paper could make me cry, especially on a book and here I am.

Like a meth addict. Craving. More.

I cannot be any more serious on how I am just going to read this over and over until another book from this author comes out because … bro. Bro.. BROO LIKE ITS SO GOOD. At this point, you get the point.

I just wanna thank the author for giving me such an amazing opportunity to read and witness their work of art . Words cannot explain how grateful I am to be having this opportunity. So thank you, and I hope to be able to read many more of their artworks.

That ending! That was an epic cliffhanger! The story was beautifully written. The horror mix with suspense and spice was just perfect. I truly felt like I was back in the Appalachian mountains again with the creepy, eerie nature that clings there. The author did very well with putting her own spin on the Fall and the realms of hell and demons. The main character was very relatable and easy to get attached too. This was definitely a great read. I highly recommend!

I absolutely fell in love with this book, and I can't wait for book 2. The story of Asmodeus and Zev was a thrill ride from the beginning. I won't be putting spoilers in here, but I encourage everyone to read this book!!! I will be impatiently waiting for book 2. The ending had me in all of my feelings and I can't wait to see what happens next!!! This was definitely a 5 star read for me!

Loved it!! The story is intriguing and got better the more I read! The MFC was hard for me to love in the beginning but she grew on me and I’m rooting for her by the end. I love me a good enemies to lovers and wanted to see more from the MMC side. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ was one of the best parts of the book for me. The last few chapters I was holding my breath and the cliffhanger was a big one! I can’t wait for book 2!

I ATE THIS UP!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the authors style of writing. The beginning was beautifully crafted and I found myself hanging on every word. I felt the book was decently paced and the story didn’t progress too fast or too slow. Asmodeus is a surprisingly like-able character that has so much depth and history to her. I was so glad that even though she’s like a million years old, a lot of her history and experiences throughout her life were brought to light by the author. I love character development and I feel like with most immortal characters crafted by authors they lack depth and insight into their years on earth. As for the scary and gory bits, they hit just the right spot (if you’re a horror lover like me) and the spicy parts had me sweating. I cannot wait for the next book!!

Asmodeus is a High Demon princess who made a dealer with Lucifer. A soul a day and she gets to stay on earth. Then one day a Hunter by the name of Zev came in and flipped her life upside down. Forcing Asmodeus to be bound to him. They go on a journey to He** to free his dad. And what a fun journey it turns out to be.

Slow banter, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, demon lore (researched). Please check your trigger warning.

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 - Plot. Well established plot. Runs very smoothly.

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 - Characters. Great character growth. I do enjoy an enemies to lovers situation.

❤️‍🔥- Spice. Well balanced. Not to much and not to little in my opinion.

Asmodeus Rising is sharp, bold, and wildly entertaining. Porter pulls you into a world that is dark without taking itself too seriously, driven by a main character who is fierce, sarcastic, and deeply compelling. The voice throughout this book is phenomenal- witty, irreverent, and emotionally grounded beneath the chaos. The story balances humor, tension, and darker themes with confidence, and the character dynamics keep the story moving at a bustling, engaging pace. Asmodeus Rising is a true page turner, with bite, banter, and a touch of hellish flair. I flew through it immediately and desperately want more.

This book was an absolute thrill to read! The author’s world-building is nothing short of phenomenal—so vivid and detailed that I felt completely transported into the story. Take a fallen angel and princess of hell, trap her by a seam on hunter out for justice for his father’s soul in Hell. Enter banter and spice and you have Askodeous Rising. Bee gives us a lot of backstory and world building, I think it can distract from the story in places, going back to go back is not always my favorite. The trip to the Warden where they have been in each others minds? I want to talk about the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers, but you will have to trust me it is worth it.
I was on the struggle bus at times with it, but the fact nd is worth the time. Pick this one up!!

I absolutely loved this book! the way bee writes is fantastic. It's captivating and just overall amazing 👏 from the second I picked up the book to the moment I finished. I fell in love with the characters, the descriptive writing, the plot, the spice, and just everything this book entails. I 1000% recommend this. Delightfully gripping. With a hilariously witty main character, a gruff love interest, and the most lovely Lucifer I have ever seen, ASMODEUS RISING was sinful and entertaining in every way, and I would recommend it to any paranormal romance lovers!

This is wildly witty, easy to follow, and as captivating as the fallen Asmodeus herself. It checks off all the boxes for me: keeps the audience engaged, creates stakes early on, and allows the reader to suspend their questions in mid-air as the hellish crusades descend upon the main characters.

Really enjoyed this dive into all things infernal. The FMC Asmodeus desperate to keep her life above the surface after escaping literal hell. She gets caught up in the MMC Zev, a demon hunter, and his plans. Enemies to lovers and shew it gets spicy. Of course things get all haywire and the story twists and ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book, I am hooked.

Great book

How dare it end like that! I need the next one now!
Not really a cliffhangers, more like a curb hanger..... The story of their trip is complete, but it is obvious that there is more story to come.
